In March 1974, Chinese farmers digging a well unearthed the greatest archaeological find of the century - the buried Terracotta Army. After coming across a life-sized human head made of clay in Xi’an, China, archaeologists were called in to investigate. What they found was extraordinary. Thousands of life-like terracotta figures from the Qin dynasty, fashioned 2,000 years ago to protect the First Emperor of China in the afterlife. Archaeologist Li Xiuzhen has worked on the site since the 1980s. Her team was the first to discover that each warrior was originally painted in bright colours. Microdosing: People who take LSD with breakfast - BBC News

Microdosing is when you take a tiny amount of psychedelic drugs - LSD or magic mushrooms usually - as part of your ordinary day. The drugs are illegal, and there is no medical evidence to say what the benefits or harms of it may be. But a small community of people in the UK are doing it anyway, and say it’s improving their lives. Some say it aids creativity and concentration and others argue it helps with their mental health problems. BBC Reporter Catrin Nye has been meeting the people that do it. One act of kindness that changed a homeless man's life - BBC News

How many times have you walked past a homeless person without a second thought? Former soldier Phil Webb hit rock bottom after he lost his job and his marriage fell apart. He started drinking and ended up on the streets. One day as he sat on the streets in Carlisle, a chance meeting with a fellow ex-soldier turned his life around. Stephen Finlayson offered Mr Webb a bed for a night and put him in touch with the Royal British Legion. Within a year, Mr Webb had a roof over his head and had even starred in a play. About 18 months after their first encounter, the pair have been reunited. You can see more on this story on Inside Out on BBC One at 19:30 GMT on 13 February. How Iceland Saved Its Teenagers - BBC News

03:54
In 1998, 42% of Iceland’s 15 and 16 year-olds reported that they had got drunk in the past 30 days. By 2016, though, this figure had fallen to just 5% and drug use and smoking had also sharply declined. The action plan that led to this dramatic success is sometimes called “the Icelandic Model” – and strikingly, it does not focus on tighter policing or awareness campaigns to warn children off bad habits. Instead, top researchers collaborate closely with communities on initiatives like parental pledges and night-time patrols after dark, while the government invests in recreational facilities. But is being a teenager in Iceland still fun?
