Ford Ranger Oman pick up camper review

03:15
SEE MY MOTORHOME SITES : http://www.motorhomefulltime.com https://www.facebook.com/motorhomefulltime I could not see the point of what is more or less a small caravan on the top of a pick up - but that was before I saw this Oman on the Ford Ranger from Burow Reisemobile from Mering in Germany. The Ranger gives the vehicle the benefits of a 4x4 expedition vehicle. However small the living quarters may appear to be, it has everything you need for living quarters. You go up the steps, through the kitchen which has a Waeco electric fridge and two burners powered by white spirit which avoids the need for gas. The basin in the shower slides under the cooker to make the shower 120 x 72 cm - which is what you may well have in your house. The bed is two metres x 2.05 m. Heating is via a diesel heater which turns out to be very economical and the vehicle quickly heats up. With solar panels on the roof you will be able to live off the grid. The vehicle costs around EUR50k. For more information see the video!

London Underground - WARNING - SWEARING AND INAPPROPRIATE LANGUAGE!

02:11
WARNING : SWEARING AND RUDE LANGUAGE IN THIS SONG! twitter : @ceepackaging http://www.ceepackaging.com https://www.facebook.com/pages/CEE-Packaging/135108923181666 https://www.facebook.com/pages/Alan-Heaths-History-Page/173472422695696 http://www.youtube.com/alanheath Here is a song and dance video number on the London Underground - something to sing along to once you learn the words. First made by the Jam in 1981 - if my memory serves me correctly and it was straight in at number one. These are the original words to the song - or something like that. This song was written and performed by Adam Kay and Suman Biswas who I believe are surgeons at Kings College Hospital in London. (My apologies if the name of the hospital is incorrect.) Enjoy! And give me five stars for effort of putting it together!!! And if you miss the words the first time around, here they are again: Some people might like to get a train to work Or drive in in a Beamer or a merc, Some guys like to travel in by bus, But I can't be bothered with the fuss today I'm going to take my bike, Coz once again the Tube's on strike. The greedy bastards want extra pay for sitting on their arse all day even though they earn 30K . So I'm standing here in the pouring rain, Where the fuck's my fucking train? London Underground London Underground They're all lazy fucking useless cunts London Underground London Underground They're all greedy cunts I want to shoot them all with a rifle. All they say is "Please mind the doors", and they learned that on the two day course, This job could be done by a four year old. They just leave us freezing in the cold. What you smell is what you get Burger King and piss and sweat You roast to death in the boiling heat, With tourists treading on your feet and chewing gum on every seat, so don't tell me to "Mind the gap" I want my fucking money back. London Underground London Underground They're all lazy fucking useless cunts London Underground London Underground They're all greedy cunts I want to shoot them all with a rifle LaLaLaLa LaLaLaLa The floors are sticky and the seats are damp, Every platform has a fucking tramp, But the drivers get the day off when we're all late for work again, London Underground London Underground WaWa Wankers , They're all Wankers , London Underground London Underground Take your Oystercard, and shove it up your arsehole. I would like to thank Jessica Irving (then aged 12) for sending this to me. You can hear the original version of this song here: http://youtube.com/watch?v=2GerufTjXxE&NR=1 as well as seeing some more of the Underground. As I recall the Jam came straight in at number one in May 1981 with this one and I did not think all that much of it at time. Just goes to show how one's tastes get more refined with age. Postojna Cave, Slovenia

03:00
The Postojna Cave system is a network of caves over 24km in length cut into the karst rock by the Pikva river. It has been a tourist attraction since 1819 when the Austrian emperor Francis I visited. There has been a railway to visit the caves since the nineteenth century. It is the second longest cave system in Slovenia and I believe the longest cave tourist trail in the world. In the cave system we can also find olms (also known as proteus (Proteus anguinus)), a fully aquatic salamander. Unlike most amphibians, the olm spends all of its life underwater. Ift is found in the karst cave systems in the Dinaric Alps in what was western Yugoslavia. It was first mentioned in 1689 by the local naturalist Valvasor in his Glory of the Duchy of Carniola, who reported that, after heavy rains, the olms were washed up from the underground waters and were believed by local people to be a cave dragon's offspring. This animal has adapted to living in complete darkness. It is blind but has very good senses of smell and hearing.

Wingamm Oasi motorhome review

03:09
The Oasi is based on the Fiat Ducato X250 with three possible engine sizes. As can be seen in the film, there is a wide kitchen unit, toilette compartment with a separate shower area, semi-dinette with swivel cabin seats and a double drop-down bed. There is a fibreglass monocoque bodywork, which ensures high thermal and acoustic comfort as well as being more leak resistant long term.

Roller Team 232 motorhome review

03:11
The Roller Team 232 has a very innovative internal layout in a vehicle measuring only 597cm long and 216 cm wide. There is no space for bicycles in the garage but a rack could be place on the back. There is a double floor which allows for additional storage accessed externally. The open plan interior allows for a very large kitchen. The bed descends over the table. If you like space, then then this is for you - but you will have to make your bed everyday!

06:26
As the word Start is used one can assume it is an entry level vehicle. In this case it is clearly aimed at young families and the van is comparitively cheap at around EUR40k. The van is quite basic but in my opinion it is better than some of the more expensive vans from Challenger.

Carthago C Compact 138 motorhome review

03:28
Carthago has brought out a variety of new floor plans and interior styles to its range with the most noticeable change being the extension of the double floor heated storage compartment that also includes a central water drain fitting. It has also increased the size of the televisions the vans come with, in the case of the c-compactline series, this will mean 22" (55cm) screens as an option. The vehicles also have a Euro 6 engine. The c-line semi-integrated is provided with a new personalised front optics. A changing room can be separated completely in the middle section using room dividing doors to the living area and to the bedroom area using a pleated material room divider. This is next to the wardrobe and should allow one to change from long trousers to shorts without the neighbours peeking in. Every Carthago is equipped with a scooter garage. It carries at least 350 kg, from chic e-line even 450 kg. The power supply of electronic devices is now taken over by an additional USB connector in the cockpit - with permanent current, thus ideal for pitches. A All models still have wood-free main cabins and full aluminium sandwich walls. Hail and stone protection is from the upper side of the roof and underfloor being made from GRP. The Faraday cage of the main body construction offers reliable lightning protection, the design of the double floor and the support struts inserted into the main body contribute to chassis stability. The on-board technology is found in the frost-protected double floor, which also supports the underfloor heating. Lightweight construction technology means larger payloads.

Window security for motorhomes

05:31
FOR MORE INFORMATION PLEASE SEE : http://wohnmobil-sicherheit.de http://www.motorhomefulltime.com One of the greatest problems faced by motorhome users is that of security, and in particular, that of window security. Plastic windows on motorhomes can be very easily opened from the outside using a metal instrument such as chisel or a screwdriver. A company in Germany has come up with a solution that involves reinfocing the plastic window with a metal bar which makes it extremely difficult to open. For more information see the video!

Tiny Camper from Globe Traveller : the Rookie based on Opel Vivaro

05:56
I have already published a film on the Globe Traveller Rookie which is based on the Fiat Talento van which measures 499cm - this version is based on the Opel Vivaro and is 40cm longer. In other words it has the footprint of a car but offers sleeping for three people together with a proper bathroom and toilet and small kitchen annex. Of course with this size there is not much storage - but what vehicles this size also offer a stand up shower and a place to make yourself to eat and a fridge! Currently only manufactured to individual specification and the price will depend on that!

Stylish concept camping! VW California XXL!

The California is the most popular camper van ever. With its systematically thought-out interior and an absolutely unmistakable design, the Bulli – with its pop-up roof – became an icon for motoring globetrotters and camping enthusiasts. Now Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles has the taken the legendary concept of the California and applied it to the next size up in camper vans, refined it further and come up with the California XXL Concept. It is based on the new Crafter, which is among the most modern all-round transporters in the world, with its comfortable and safe handling, efficient engines and a wealth of driver assistance systems. This film has no commentary but none is necessary. It will show you some of the internal details of this very interesting concept! Music : Waltz of the Flowers by Tchaikovski

Tour of Niesmann Bischoff Arto 77E luxury RV

05:11
The Arto 76 E has, up to now, been one of the most popular layouts of the 13-part model series by Niesmann+Bischoff and accounts for some 20 percent of sales. Managing Director Hubert Brandl now reveals what changes are to be made “In future, we will be replacing the Arto 76 E by bringing the Arto 77 E on the road. The extension by ten centimetres is mainly due to the longer rear beds, through which we wish to further improve the sleeping comfort for taller people in particular”. In addition, a standard series solid sliding door, which, like on the Flair, separates the sleeping and living room areas will be added. Other changes include a new, high-performance stove in the kitchens and the electrics have been moved into the garage making them easier to access. Two spotlights have been mounted under the lifting bed, and LED strip lighting under the sleeping area. The indirect lighting over the wall cabinets in the living area is dimmable in the standard series, as well as the “Green Grass” accentuation lighting consisting of real grass stalks in the living room door. In addition, there are diverse new special equipment variations – from the living room seating group, which can be optionally converted into a sleeping area, or the resonance loudspeakers in the living area, right up to the six metre-long awning with highly convenient electrical operation. And one small change has occurred in the designation: the Arto 79 F is now called the Arto 78 F – the popular queen (highland) bed layout has remained unchanged. http://www.motorhomefulltime.com/vehicle/arto-77e

Dethleffs 7152 DBN motorhome review

06:12
With a price tag of around EUR110k, this is one of the most expensive vans produced by Dethleffs - for those looking to save a bit of money, there is a semi integrated verison as well. It comes with a queen bed in the back and an electronic drop down bed in the lounge.

Camper van life : Water

JOIN MY FACEBOOK MOTORHOME GROUP : https://www.facebook.com/MotorhomeFullTime Water for your camper van is a bit of a problem, furthermore water goes off and needs to be changed regularly. Here I describe a place I found for dumping water and explain a little of how I resolve the problem of water for drinking, washing and cleaning. My channel on you tube : http://www.youtube.com/alanheath is one of the most prolific from Poland. I have produced over 2,450 original films. My big interest in life is travel and history but I have also placed films on other subjects. Please feel free to ask questions in the public area or to comment on things you disagree with. Sometimes there are mistakes because I speak without preparation. If I see the mistakes myself, I make this clear in the text. Please also leave a star rating! I am very fortunate that I can spend a large part of my life travelling, thanks to the business I chose to run which allows me to do this. There are a number of films here on the packaging industry. This is because I am the publisher of Central and Eastern European Packaging -- http://www.ceepackaging.com - the international platform for the packaging industry in this region focusing on the latest innovations, trends, design, branding, legislation and environmental issues with in-depth profiles of major industry achievers. Most people may think packaging pretty boring but it possibly effects your life more than you really imagine! Central and Eastern European Packaging examines the packaging industry throughout this region, but in particular in the largest regional economies which are Russia, Germany, Poland, Czech Republic, Ukraine and Austria. That is not to say that the other countries are forgotten, they are not, but obviously there is less going on. However the fact that there are so many travel related films here is not from holidays but from business trips attending trade fairs around the region. Every packaging trade fair is a new excuse to make another film!

Sunlight T69L motorhome review

05:47
Sunlight is trying to identify itself as a brand which embodies the active lifestyle - a vehicle which the company says is a sporty companion fand to this end it has adopted the slogan “freedom is my life“ which is being marketed, it seems, to first time buyers. The model shown here is the T69L which starts at EUR44k - although the model here has all the extras and comes to EUR53k. Sunlight uses the Fiat Ducato Chassis with increased track and the new, low emission Euro 6 engine which will also get the blue sticker and may drive even in the new Euro 6 environmental areas, which will be established in 2017. Additional safety is offered by ABS, driver airbag and EBD electronic brake-force distribution. Even hail won't damage the Sunlight, thanks to its glass-fibre reinforced roof and rear end – the motorhome even comes with a five year warranty against water ingress. Nine different Low Profile layouts have comfortable driver and passenger seats which easily swivel to join the lounge area. There are three overcab layouts. For the 2017 range Sunlight have re-engineered numerous layouts, developed new bathrooms, optimised bed lengths and widths as well as created more space for larger kitchens and lounges. Child friendly camping : Weinsburg 700DG motorhome review

02:43
SEE MY MOTORHOME WEBPAGES: http://www.motorhomefulltime.com/lifestyle/kids-feature-motorhomes-aims-attract-young-families https://www.facebook.com/motorhomefulltime Whereas the thrust of this publication is aimed at the retiree, the demographic which is currently the largest user of motorhomes, Weinsburg is attempting to attract families to camping and as such has introduced the Cara Kids concept which in some ways aims to turn the motorhome into a type of nursery. Weinsberg, which is owned by Knaus Tabbert, sought the assistance of German trade publications to identify what features they would require to make their vehicles more family-friendly. At the Dusseldorf trade fair in 2014, Weinsberg presented its 700 DG version in an internal conversion designed to attract families with young children. The first noticeable feature is the security designed to stop young children (and others) from falling out of bed in the form of nets. To get into bed, kids have the choice of using the ladder, or the choice they are most likely to take, some grips to climb into bed as though they were scaling a mountain face. Once in bed there is plenty of space for toys, teddy bears and the like in the form of plastic bins. This is thanks to the fact that as children are not as tall as adults, the extra space can be put to good use. Cleaning is made easier by removable panels on the seats and there is also a slightly raised edge to the table which should take care of minor mishaps. There are also cup holders at the table built into the wall. The toilet has a step to help children access it. Weinsburg have also introduced some of these ideas into their caravans too. With similar ideas being a theme of the CCS trade show in the UK aiming to encourage more young families to holidays on the road, there may be a market in this. However as any motorhome user will know, the amount of families one meets at campsites is much less than the amount of couples travelling.

https://www.facebook.com/pages/Alan-Heaths-History-Page/173472422695696 The Polish military cemetery at Monte Cassino overlooks the abbey and is below Hill 597 which was one of the most important positions during the battle in this sector of the Gustav Line. It was laid out in the winter of 1944 - 45, a few months after the battle. My channel on you tube : http://www.youtube.com/alanheath is one of the most prolific from Poland. Lugano, Switzerland at night

02:56
A video from the Lugano Tourist office which shows quick time aerial filming from the air at night of the town and the lake. You are going to have a bit of a problem finding somewhere to park your motorhome in Lugano, you may have to leave it outside the town and get the bus in or alternatively find a paid parking spot in the town which is long enough to accommodate your vehicle Lugano is not motorhome friendly, many car parks expressly forbid motorhome parking. Assuming that you get round this problem then Lugano, the largest Italian speaking town in Switzerland, will give you some wonderful lake and mountain views. Just over 70,000 people live in Lugano and with house prices similar to those in London, one can imagine what type of people they must be. Inhabited since ancient times, the city really took off in the mid nineteenth century as a comfortable lake side retreat. From around 1960 it established itself as the third banking city of Switzerland helped largely through the flood of Italian money leaving that country. In 1956 it was host to the first Eurovision Song Contest. Today more than ninety percent of the working population is employed in the services sector. Lugano has a humid subtropical climate with relatively mild winters, warm summers and plenty of rain no matter what the season. It has an average of 98.1 days of rain or snow per year and on average receives 1,559 mm of precipitation. The wettest month is May during which Lugano receives an average of 196 mm of rain, while the driest month of the year is February with an average of 52 mm of precipitation. The centre is relatively flat but if you are planning on going much further afield, including into the suburbs of the city, you are going to need to be quite fit. Steps in many places provide the short cut for those that don't want to follow the winding roads. Both Lake Lugano and the surrounding mountains provide a wide variety of outdoor activities. The area surrounding Lugano is home to over 300 kilometres of mountain biking trails, the largest net of trails in Switzerland. Lake Lugano measures 48.7 square kilometres, 63% of which is in Switzerland and 37% in Italy. It has an average width of roughly 1 kilometre and is nearly 3 kilometres (1.9 mi) at its widest. The maximum depth of the lake is 279 meters. The water is generally warm with average water temperatures in the summer ranging from 19.5 °C to 24.0 °C. There is a very pleasant walk along the lake front called the Olive Route which offers explanations of olive cultivation every few hundred metres and has magnificent views (see film and photos). As one gets to Gandia, looking east in the morning one is greeted with an almost dream like appearance of the mountains as they fall down to the lake. Several companies, including the Società Navigazione del Lago di Lugano (SNL), provide tourist boat services on the lake. A popular excursion is by SNL boat to the picturesque lakeside village of Gandria. Additionally there are numerous shipyards, water taxis and boat rental sites along the lake, as well as hotels and restaurants that offer moorings. Bathing in the lake is allowed at any of the 50 or so bathing establishments located along the Swiss shores. In addition to the lake, Lugano is surrounded by mountains, which provide a number of opportunities for sports or sightseeing. Two mountains, both providing excellent views over the city and lake, bracket each end of the city's waterfront. Monte Brè (933 metres), to the north, is reputedly Switzerland's sunniest spot and is also home to the old village of Brè. Monte San Salvatore (912 metres), to the south, has an old church and museum atop its summit. Both mountains are accessible by funicular railways, which are themselves easily accessible by frequent city bus or by car. Slightly further afield is Monte Generoso (1,704 metres), with a view that encompasses the lakes of Lugano, Como and Maggiore, as well as the Alps from the Matterhorn to the Bernina Range, the Lombardy Plains, and, on a clear day, the city of Milan. The summit can be reached by taking either an SNL boat, or a railway train, to Capolago, and changing there onto a rack railway train of the Monte Generoso Railway.

Motorhome at site of Mauthausen concentration camp

This is not a motorhome destination that would appeal to many people, right outside the quarry at Mauthausen where tens of thousands suffered and died at the hands of the Nazis. However for me as a holocaust historian then it is a location which gives me the ability to prepare educational material for others.

RV covered with solar panels : Dethleffs ehome

08:17
Very few industries are currently faced with a scale of change as significant as that of the automotive industry. Developing alternatives to the combustion engine is a considerable task, essential to ensuring sustainable mobility. The Erwin Hymer Group has long conducted research in the area of alternative vehicular technology. At the 2017 Caravan Salon, with their brand Dethleffs, they presented their e.home case study, a motorhome in which all the equipment was powered by the sun. The market for electromobility is constantly growing. According to experts’ estimates, the share of electrically-powered vehicles worldwide will increase to around 30 to 40 percent by the year 2030. As a modern and sustainable drive technology, electromobility reduces dependence on fossil fuels, while simultaneously harnessing great potential in regard to climate protection and entry into new markets. The worldwide number of electric cars rose by around 73 percent to 1.3 million vehicles in the year 2016. By 2020, according to government plans, there should be one million electric vehicles on German roads alone. A motorhome that produces electricity The conceptual study e.home is a solely electrically-powered mobile home based on an Iveco Daily Electric chassis. Three sodium-nickel chloride batteries with an output of 3x76Ah at 400 volt integrated in the chassis allow an initial range of 180 kilometres. The whole living area draws electricity through the vehicle’s batteries. There is no longer a gas supply; rather, all cooking and heating is carried out exclusively with electricity. A further particularity: the vehicle simultaneously collects and stores energy. A photo-voltaic foil with a thin layer of solar cells was built extensively onto the vehicle. With a total area of 31 square metres, it produces additional electricity with an output of 3,000 watts. Alongside the electric drive, the e.home study shows numerous innovative details, such as electric black-out windows. An electric, dimmable sheet between the isolation panes of the window would ensure privacy and protect from glare and heat. Further functions include a driver assistance pack and a cross-component bus system with voice control. Requirement for mobility in the future “The focus of our development is currently on areas such as battery capacity, vehicle weight and construction, as we want to increase the range of our vehicles quickly. Our electric vehicle will be ready for the market when it can travel 500 kilometres without having to be charged from time to time”, says Jan de Haas, board member of the Erwin Hymer Group. The development of the charging infrastructure is also occurring with increasing speed. The number of charging stations in Germany should be extended from 7,500 stations today to 20,000 units by 2020, with assistance from government incentive programmes. The long-term goal of the European Union is extensive coverage with at least 750,000 charging stations, of which 150,000 would be in Germany. The charging speed is also a development in progress. Currently, quick charging stations already charge to a completely full battery in two hours. Charging to 80 per cent only takes 20 minutes. Innovative design approach for lightweight construction In order to reach the largest range possible with electric vehicles, the weight of the vehicle is a deciding factor along with the battery performance. An important research area of the Erwin Hymer Group is therefore lightweight construction. The new construction approach ICON (Intelligent Construction) was first used in relation to the caravan “Coco” from the brand Dethleffs, which only weighs 638 kilogrammes. Through the combination of bionic design and computerised structure optimisation, as well as the implementation of multifunctional building groups and intelligent materials, the weight can not only be decreased significantly, but stability can also be increased.
