Badass navy SEAL took 27 bullets and still walked to the medevac helicopter, now he’s doing an Ironm

01:55
Former Navy SEAL Mike Day is not your ordinary veteran. Twenty-year SEAL veteran Day was quite literally shot to pieces during his final tour of Iraq, but has made a remarkable recovery. And he is now taking part in an Ironman to help raise funds for the people who helped him recover from his incredible ordeal. It all happened back in 2007 when Day was acting as point man in a raid on a property in Fallujah. First into the room, Day was confronted by four enemy fighters, who duly opened fire. His rifle shot from his hand, Day pulled out his handgun and started shooting, killing one fighter and hitting another who was carrying a grenade, which then exploded less than 10 feet from him. A still dazed Day then woke up, and proceeded to gun down the remaining two enemy combatants. And if that wasn’t enough, Day then got to his feet and walked to the medevac helicopter, even though he had been shot 16 times. Day was hit a total of 27 times. Eleven of the shots hitting his body armor and another 16 his body. He was hit in the stomach, shoulder, buttocks, scrotum and hand. Day spent sixteen days in hospital recovering, during which time he lost 55 pounds. It’s been a long road to recovery for him, but now he’s aiming to give back by raising funds for Carrick Brain Centers, an organization that helps vets suffering from PTSD. ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoUSA, where we animate the most entertaining news from ‘MURRICA. Giving away Jordans: Bullied student given Concord Air Jordan 11 lows by classmate Yaovi Mawuli

01:12
A North Carolina high school student helped a bullied classmate by giving him a pair of new shoes. Yaovi Mawuli noticed a student was making fun of Jared Newby, who was wearing a pair of worn out sneakers during French class, according to a report by local Fox affiliate WGHP. Yaovi has an extensive shoe collection because he trades shoes online. He decided to give Jared a pair of “Concord” Air Jordan 11 lows that he had in his size. However, Yaovi worried that giving Jared the shoes directly would hurt his feelings, so he sought help online. A school counselor gave Jared the shoes from Yaovi in her office on the next day. Jared threw the old shoes immediately after he got the new shoes. “It felt like I was standing on air,” Jared told WGHP. Jared took a picture with Yaovi in his brand new Air Jordans that has been making the rounds in social media. ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoUSA, where we animate the most entertaining news from ‘MURRICA. Man walks 35 miles to work: 61-year-old Steven Simoff walks 7+ hours everyday to support sick wife

01:34
If you’re the type to complain about your daily commute, then you better learn a thing or two from Steven Simoff. This 61-year-old Iowa man walks an incredible 35 miles to work everyday in order to provide for his family. The overnight janitor, who works at Lakeside Casino in Osceola, Iowa, leaves his Davis City home at around 3:30 p.m. every day and walks along the shoulder of Interstate 35, just so he can arrive in time to clock in at 11 p.m. for work. After a gruelling day’s worth of walking along the highway, he next begins working the night shift cleaning the Casino. But he doesn't complain, instead Simoff tells The Des Moines Register he will do whatever it takes to get to work so he can provide for his family. His wife Renee had a stroke nine years ago and has since suffered several heart attacks. Money has been tight since Renee's health problems began. "First of all, when you got a family, and you've got a job, you've got to be able to support your family. And you've got to keep your job — the most two important things I can think of," Simoff told the Des Moines Register. Simoff only earns $9.07 an hour at the casino and says his family can't afford to live closer to work because their rent in Davis City is only $400 per month. While the family owns a 2002 Ford Windstar minivan, they rarely can afford to fill up the tank. The seven and a half hour journey means Simoff has to buy a new pair of shoes every two months, but he says he’s never once been injured during his treks. When his night shift is over Simoff usually catches a ride back home with a co-worker or a friend.

Bloody Chicago: baby crushed to death by shooters' car after rapper 'Capo' killed - TomoNews

01:41
CHICAGO, ILLINOIS— A toddler and an aspiring rapper are both dead following a series of horrific events on Saturday in Chicago. Sometime just before 2 p.m., Marvin Carr, known in the hip-hop community as rapper "Capo" was strolling along South Kingston Avenue when a car pulled alongside and fired at least two shots into Capo. The rapper's death was recorded in a video that is now been widely spread on social media outlets, but the drive-by shooting was only the beginning of horrific events that day. As the suspected shooter's attempted to flee the scene at high speed, roughly 3 miles from the location of the drive-by shooting, the suspects lost control of their vehicle. The car left the road, drove over a curb and onto a sidewalk where a mother and her children, including her 13-month old boy sitting in a stroller, were standing waiting for a bus. The suspects' car struck the stroller and the child inside was killed. Following the accident the suspect's car slammed into a road barrier and either two or three suspects then fled on foot. Two men were arrested by police in connection with the crime and are being questioned. Chicago residents have been shocked by a recent string of murders related to feuds between rap artists and the killing of an innocent toddler has only served to highlight the horrific and senseless nature of such crimes. The city has seen a decrease in overall crime rates, according to local media, however the homicide rate in Chicago has seen a 26% increase over last year, with 78 murders reported in the city thus far this year. ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoUSA, where we animate the most entertaining news from ‘MURRICA. Bullied little girl and brother in viral video say school won't stop the bullies

01:28
Meet eight-year-old Anna Cymbaluk and her seven-year-old brother Ben from Minnesota. Their mother, Sarah, shot a video of the children, with Anna in tears, describing the constant harassment by bullies they experience at school, and uploaded it to a local news channel's Facebook page last Wednesday. "Tell me how it makes you feel" Sarah asks her daughter. "It makes me feel sad, and scared." Anna repies. The children say the abuse starts on the schoolbus every day, where the driver once told Anna to "Sit your (expletive) down!" An older boy on the bus also threatens the children and called a high school girl who sits near them a lesbian. Another bully on the playground told Ben he's going to die in a suicide, and Anna was injured as recently as Wednesday when a bully stabbed her in the palm with a pencil. Anna and her mother have asked the principal of Magelssen Elementary to intervene on many occasions, but the school's reaction has been dismissive. So finally, after five meetings with administrators since December produced no results, Sarah Cymbaluk turned to Facebook. The video instantly went viral and finally, little Anna had the school's attention. "Can you tell me how many times you've been in and told the principal about it?" her mother asked. "Like five." Anna replied. "And what have they done about it?" "Nothing". Worried about the school's image, school and Fosston district administrators called Jon and Anna Cymbaluk into a meeting a day later, where their first words to the parents were 'What are you going to do to make us look good?' and asked them to remove the video. The principal suggested Anna be sent to see a counselor, but her mother Sarah replied, "My kids are not the ones doing this, they should not be pulled out of class." ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoUSA, where we animate the most entertaining news from 'MURRICA. Dog stranded in ice on frozen Charles River rescued from Boston firefighters

01:38
Meet Cooper, a golden retriever-poodle cross, who found himself in more than a bit of trouble over the weekend—marooned in the middle an icy river—before his rescue by firefighters. During a Saturday walk along the bank of Boston's Charles River he bolted, his owners told local police. They posted flyers up around the neighborhood and, luckily, received a call on Sunday informing them Cooper had been spotted on a felled tree in the partially frozen-over river. Firefighters from the Wellesley Fire Department geared up and went to work, reuniting the unlucky mutt with his relieved family. ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoUSA, where we animate the most entertaining news from ‘MURRICA. Shocking allergic reaction: Girl's skin peels off after bipolar disorder prescription drug use

01:48
A Georgia grad student was left almost blind and without the vast majority of her skin following a rare allergic reaction to a common drug used to treat seizures and mood disorders, according to a New York Daily News report. Back in 2013, Khaliah Shaw, 24, was diagnosed with bipolar disorder and prescribed a common seizure and mood disorder medication called Lamotrigine. Within a month of taking the medication, she developed a strange rash on her face and noticed her lips were always peeling off. Shaw initially went to the doctor and was told she had the flu. Two days later, she awoke to find her hair had fallen out, her nails had fallen off and that her skin was peeling right off. Doctors decided to put the 24-year-old into medically-induced coma to alleviate her pain and eventually diagnosed her with Steven-Johnson Syndrome. SJS is a rare disorder that starts off with flu-like symptoms and attacks the top layer of the skin, forming a rash that spreads and turns into blisters. It eventually makes the layers of the epidermis shed and fall. The disease is caused by toxins from a drug or an infection, which, if not treated, can even prove fatal. When Shaw awoke from her five week-long coma she was in shock that she had lost all of her hair and fingernails, and nearly 90 per cent of her skin had peeled away. The brave young woman has since undergone 13 month-long road to recovery, which has included seizure treatments and months spent at a burn center. ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoUSA, where we animate the most entertaining news from ‘MURRICA. Police body camera footage shows dramatic rescue of Utah 'miracle' baby Lily Groesbeck

01:49
Utah police have released body-camera footage showing the frantic rescue of the 18-month-old girl we told you about last week, who was discovered by rescue workers after spending 14 hours suspended above an icy river. The girl's mother, Lynn Jennifer Groesbeck, 25, was killed in the accident. According to Spanish Fork Police, the rear portion of the vehicle was high enough out of the water that Groesbeck's toddler stayed dry after their car plunged into a Utah river at 10:30 p.m. last Friday night. As icy water flowed through the car's open windows, the child remained strapped to her safety seat. Police body camera footage caught the heroic rescue: "There's a baby!" a responder is heard saying as he directs crews to rescue her. "We're helping, we're coming," a rescuer says at another point. "Definitely hypothermic. She's freezing," a rescuer says as the girl is carried to an emergency vehicle and undergoes efforts to revive her. "Come on, sweetie. Come on, sweetie," a responder says. The water in the river was so cold last weekend that seven emergency responders had to be treated for hypothermia after rescuing the toddler. Spanish Fork Police Lieutenant Matt Johnson told the Washington Post it's a miracle the child was able to survive. ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoUSA, where we animate the most entertaining news from ‘MURRICA. Deadly allergic reaction: Teen with serious milk allergy dies after eating pancakes, family sues

01:11
The Johnson family of Bemidji, Minn. is suing a local diner for serving Scott Johnson, 16, his last meal. Scott was highly allergic to dairy pancakes, so the family rarely ate in restaurants. One June morning, they went to the Minnesota Nice Cafe and explained Johnson's allergy. The staff reportedly assured Scott they would serve him dairy free pancakes and clean the kitchen stove before cooking them. But immediately upon finishing his meal, Scott could tell he was having an allergic reaction. "He had just finished and said 'we have to go now," his mother, Cindy Johnson, said. Scott had left his epipen at home that day. The family rushed to the house to get it, but Scott had already gone into intense anaphylactic shock. He was life flighted to a hospital, but died three days later. The family is suing the cafe, and a family friend set up a Go Fund Me account to help them cover the medical bills. ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoUSA, where we animate the most entertaining news from ‘MURRICA. ‘American Sniper’ trial ends: Chris Kyle’s killer, Eddie Ray Routh, loses insanity plea, gets life

01:40
The ‘American Sniper’ trial came to a close yesterday after the jury found former U.S. Marine Eddie Ray Routh guilty of killing Navy SEAL Chris Kyle and his friend Chad Littlefield. Routh was convicted of fatally shooting Kyle and Littlefield at a gun range near Fort Worth in February 2013. During the two-week long trial, Routh’s defense team pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity. At first glance, the defense team seemed to have several advantages. Routh has a documented history of mental instability, he has been diagnosed with PTSD, and according to his mother, was on around nine different medications to help him combat his severe PTSD. However, prosecutors and the jury didn’t buy the defense team’s arguments. According to prosecutors, Routh has voiced potential motives for killing Kyle and Littlefield, which suggests that he was capable of coherent, rational thought at the time of the murders. Routh admitted that he was annoyed when both Kyle and Littlefield didn’t talk to him much on the drive to the gun range, and was “riled up” when Littlefield seemed to be watching him closely once they got to the range. Prosecutors claimed that Routh also demonstrated clear thinking when he bought burritos and picked up his dog from his house after the murders. According to prosecutors, Routh seemed to know that killing the two men was wrong, as he quickly fled the scene after the murders and also later told several people he felt guilty about his actions. As one of the prosecutors, Assistant Attorney General Jane Starnes, concisely put it, “Crazy don’t run.” In the state of Texas, this disqualifies someone from being legally insane. Among many of Routh’s outlandish statements, one particularly colorful one involved hybrid “pig people.” Routh’s belief that hybrid “pig people” were trying to kill him that day was dismissed by the prosecution, who argued that it was an idea Routh stole from a Seinfeld episode he’d watched in jail. After a relatively short jury deliberation that lasted less than three hours, Routh was sentenced to life imprisonment without parole. ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoUSA, where we animate the most entertaining news from ‘MURRICA. Bakersfield high school girl sick of bullying serves semen-filled cupcakes to her tormentors

01:25
A Bakersfield, California girl literally gave her tormentors their just desserts last week after she got fed up with their bullying and decided to serve them up some cupcakes with a not-so-special homemade filling that reportedly included pubic hair, semen and other exotic ingredients. Officials can't prove what was in the treats since all the evidence was eaten. However, at least one of the victims stayed home from school ill after having a bad reaction to the concoction. Police are treating this as a simple school prank, and the school has now banned all outside food. No one was charged in the incident. ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoUSA, where we animate the most entertaining news from 'MURRICA. Facebook murder: Steve Stephens kills himself after police car chase - TomoNews

06:54
ERIE, PENNSYLVANIA — Cleveland murder suspect Steve Stephens shot and killed himself after being pursued by police in Pennsylvania on Tuesday. According to the Erie Times-News, Steve Stephens was ordering food at a McDonald’s drive-through on Buffalo Road in Harborcreek Township, Erie County after 11 a.m. when he was recognized by staff members, who then reported him to the police. State troopers quickly located Stephens and launched a two-mile pursuit. One trooper performed a PIT maneuver in order to stop Stephens’ vehicle. As the car was spinning out of control, Stephens reportedly shot himself in the head and was pronounced dead at the scene. “We would have preferred it not ended this way. There are a lot of questions for the family and the city in general that they would have had for Steve as to why this transpired,” Cleveland Police Chief Calvin Williams said at a news conference. Stephens allegedly killed 74-year-old Robert Godwin Sr. on Sunday in Cleveland and later posted video of the killing to Facebook. He claimed he was also responsible for multiple homicides, but no additional victims have been found. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Go to https://www.patreon.com/tomonews and become a Patron now TomoNews is now on Patreon and we've got some cool perks for our hardcore fans. Road rage incident turns into fist fight in Walmart parking lot - TomoNews

15:09
DENVER — Video footage captured a road rage confrontation that led to a fist fight outside a Walmart in Colorado on June 17. Devin Jones was reportedly riding his motorcycle through a neighborhood in Denver, when he noticed a white sedan speed by him. Jones decided to pursue the sedan, which sped through the streets, zipping around other vehicles and on wrong side of the road. Jones captured the entire incident on his helmet camera, writing that he wanted to follow the guy just to see his face. But, when the sedan’s driver outmaneuvered and out-crazied Jones, the motorcyclist abandoned his chase … or so he thought. After giving up, Jones decided to test out some tires in a dirt lot, and noticed the same speed devil pass by. He followed the vehicle into a Walmart parking lot. Jones confronted the driver, who had a female passenger in the vehicle, asking him why he was in such a hurry, to which the driver explained, “Yo momma f***ed me good.” After the two spent a few minutes exchanging insults, the driver began touching Jones’ motorcycle. When Jones asked him not to, the driver makes a point to touch the bike again. That’s when Jones made his own point by shoving the driver away. The two spar for a few minutes, with Jones getting in a few good punches and shoves before Walmart officials and passersby interrupt. “I should have left it alone but instead I confronted him and let anger make me look like a complete asshole,” Jones wrote about the incident. “I thought it was common knowledge not to hit a motorcycle in front of its lover... owner.” ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoNews, where we animate the most entertaining news on the internets. Man wakes up with no teeth in dentist's chair after being told only four would be removed - TomoNews

01:23
COLUMBUS, INDIANA — Donny Grigsby went into the dentist's office for a routine procedure, or, so he thought. At White River Dental in Columbus, Indiana, he was told four of his teeth needed to be removed. He went under anesthesia thinking he'd wake up in a few hours with a few less teeth, but with better oral health. Grigsby's wife, Amanda, spent five-and-a-half hours in the waiting room, when she decided to investigate. She found her husband in the room, droopy-eyed with blood all over his shirt. The dentist had removed all of his teeth. When she asked why, the dentist claimed it was done to prevent the spread of infection from one of Donny's abscessed teeth. Donny Grigsby was rushed to a hospital after the procedure, and had to be put in a medically-induced coma. Ever since, he's been hooked up to an oxygen tank, due to a blood clot. White River Dental is calling the allegations false, and may seek compensation for defamation. ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoUSA, where we animate the most entertaining news from ‘MURRICA. Train crashes into car: Fatal accident captured on video by Kentucky trainspotters

01:35
A day of trainspotting for two men turned into witnessing a tragedy when they captured a deadly train wreck on video. On the outskirts of Louisville, Kentucky, around 4 p.m. last Saturday, a Union Pacific freight train was on the move, hauling a line of 100 railcars stretching about three quarters of a mile long. It was moving around 60 mph as it headed towards the Buechel Avenue crossing where a few trainspotters were taking video of the trains on the line that day. At that same moment, A white Toyota Camry with four young Bhutanese men coming from soccer practice were heading towards the crossing. Even though the crossing bells and lights were working, the driver proceeded through the junction. Two passengers, 16-year-old Chita Chuwan and 19-year-old Suk Man Rai, were killed at the scene, after the car was dragged a half a mile down the tracks. The driver and another passenger, whose identities are being withheld, are listed in critical condition. ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoUSA, where we animate the most entertaining news from ‘MURRICA. Worst selfie: Dumb criminal caught after posting drug-dealing photos to Facebook

A Port St. Lucie, Florida man was arrested after posting photos of himself handling drugs on Facebook, according to a New York Daily News report. Apparently thinking it'd be a good idea to show his FB buddies how easy it was to deal drugs right under the nose of Martin County authorities, Taylor Harrison reportedly pulled up alongside a deputy's vehicle and whipped out a stack of cash and some drugs and posed for a photo. Well, the Martin County Sheriff's Office gave the 20-year-old the publicity he seems to have been craving so badly by posting the photos onto their very own Facebook page. Along with a photo of him selling weed to undercover officers and, unsurprisingly, his eventual mugshot. ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoUSA, where we animate the most entertaining news from 'MURRICA. Sikh boy records racist school bus bullies calling him ‘terrorist’ for wearing turban

00:57
A video recorded and first uploaded to YouTube by our new hero, a Sikh schoolboy named Harsukh Singh is going viral just a couple of days since it appeared. It shows Singh telling the viewer he’s being harassed by some kids (who appear to be some of his schoolmates, or who at least know his name). He occasionally responds to their taunts but appears confident that he’s got the better of them with this video. He knows something they don’t—they’re about to be shamed in front of the entire internet. The usual school bus clamour means it’s hard to hear the entire exchange, but it appears to go something like this: Harsukh Singh: “Kids being racist to me.” Girl: “[inaudible] Terrorist! Terrorist!” Girl: “Quit filming us, Harsukh.” ingh: “I can if you’re being racist to me, motherf**ker.” Girl: “Terrorist! Terrorist!” Girl: “inaudible] I never gave your (sic) permission. You’re going to court.” Another kid: “You’re going to court!” Yet another kid: “You’re going to court!” Girl (to Singh): “I’ll sue you!” Singh: “Who cares? I don’t care…” Off-screen adult (to group): “[inaudible] Stop being rude.” In the first instance of the video posted online, reportedly uploaded by the little champion himself, Singh provides this description: “kids being racist to me and calling me an afghani terrorist. please dont act like this towards people like me … if u dont know im not muslim im sikh.” Word, little brother. ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoUSA, where we animate the most entertaining news from ‘MURRICA. Future tech: Sony files U.S. patent for smart contact lens that records and plays video - TomoNews

01:29
ALEXANDRIA, VIRGINIA —Tech giant Sony has joined the race to develop digital contact lens technology. Sony has plans for a wearable lens that can take photos and video, according to an application filed with the U.S. patent office, Tech Story reported. Sony filed a patent in the U.S. in May of 2013 for a smart contact lens — a fact only picked up by the media this week. The device would not only take photos and video, but store data, with no need for a tether to a smartphone. The lens would feature an organic electroluminescence display screen, according to the patent. By blinking an eye, the user would be able to operate the lens via the display. The camera would feature autofocus, automatic exposure adjustment and an adjustable zoom. The device would also be able to record video, store it and play it back. The news that Sony has been working on this technology for several years follows a trend set by Google and Samsung. In 2014, Google revealed a high-tech lens to help diabetics measure glucose levels in their tears. The same year, Samsung filed a patent in South Korea for a smart contact lens that houses a tiny camera. ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoUSA, where we animate the most entertaining news from ‘MURRICA. Home invader shot dead after gunfight with 13-year-old boy in South Carolina - TomoNews

01:07
LADSON, SOUTH CAROLINA — A 13-year-old boy opened fire on a would-be burglar after the suspect tried to break into his house in Charleston, South Carolina on Tuesday afternoon, the Charleston County Sheriff's Office said. Police on Tuesday night identified the deceased suspect as 31-year-old Lamar Brown from Summerville. Ira Bennett, who was the getaway the driver, has been charged with first degree burglary. At 1:30 p.m., a 13-year-old Ladson boy was home alone when he heard a commotion at the back of his house. The boy retrieved his mother's gun and went to investigate. The mother said to the Post and Courier that she bought the gun for protection but never taught her son how to use it. "I tell my kids that if anything ever happens to call 911, but I also tell them to protect themselves if they have to," she said to the Post and Courier. "I never would have dreamed that this would have been a part of our day today." The boy saw someone trying to get in through the back door and opened fire through the door. The suspect reportedly fired back. Neighbor Debbie Griffin witnessed the attempted burglary and reportedly heard around six shots before calling the police. She added that her son was outside at the time as more shots rang out, reported the Post and Courier. The suspect was seen fleeing in a silver vehicle. He was later taken to Trident Hospital where he died, authorities said. Neighbors thanked the boy for his quick action, but the family said they no longer felt safe in their home. The family had just moved into the house this past May. The sheriff's office is continuing the investigation and deputies are searching for the driver of the vehicle. ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoUSA, where we animate the most entertaining news from ‘MURRICA. Man falls into Yellowstone hot springs, body dissolves in fatal ‘hot pot’ calamity - TomoNews

01:24
MAMMOTH, WYOMING — A 23-year-old man who died in Yellowstone National Park last summer was reportedly trying to find a place to soak in the area’s natural hot springs. Portland, Oregon graduate Colin Scott was killed on June 7 when his body dissolved in the boiling acidic waters of a hot spring in the Norris Geyser basin. Yellowstone officials released the final incident report following a Freedom of Information Act request by NBC affiliate KULR. Scott’s sister Sable filmed the whole thing on her cellphone, according to the report, but the video has not been released to the public. An official said there are signs in the park that warn visitors not to fool around with its natural geothermal features. But the Scott siblings were allegedly trying to do just that, by looking for a place to take a dangerous dip, known as a “hot pot.” Sable Scott filmed on her cellphone as her brother checked the water temperature, only to slip and fall into the churning hot spring. Although rescue workers found Colin’s body, their efforts were disrupted by a lightning storm, and by the time they got back to the hot spring, the body had dissolved in the water. No citations were issued in connection with the incident. Hot spring-related injuries have claimed at least 22 lives in and around Yellowstone since 1890, the Washington Post reported, citing park officials. ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoNews, where we animate the most entertaining news on the internets. Selfie gone wrong: idiot iPad thieves arrested after accidentally uploading photos to iCloud

02:07
A Houston robbery victim got his iPad back after the idiot thieves who took it inadvertently identified themselves after taking celebratory photos on the device, which automatically backed up to the owner’s iCloud account. "I think they felt elated that they got away with such a big score," Randy Schaefer told KTRK-TV. Schaefer’s white F-150 truck was parked outside his River Oaks home on January 8th when two suspects broke in and stole his iPad, $5,000 in cash and his MacBook Pro. It wasn’t until last Friday morning, though, that he discovered the culprits behind the theft when he checked his iCloud photo stream and found 17 selfies taken by two mysterious men. The photos showed the suspects posing with stacks of $100 bills and going as far as to put them in their mouths. A Youtube video surfaced Friday night showing the men throwing up gang signs saying, “this is what you get from a good night’s hustle.” Schaefer said the selfies were taken on his iPad at a Burger King just two miles down the street from his home. Some of the other stolen items were found in an alley behind a Starbucks located near the Burger King. Schaefer believes the suspects connected to the Starbucks Wi-Fi and synced the selfies accidentally to his iCloud account. Police arrested the dumb duo on Wednesday and charged Dorian Markee Walker-Gaines, 20, and his friend Dylan, 22, with theft. ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoUSA, where we animate the most entertaining news from ‘MURRICA. Carolina butcher: upright walking crocodile fossil discovered in North Carolina

01:11
A newly discovered ancestor of the crocodile known as the Carolina butcher has been unveiled by boffins from North Carolina State University (NCSU). The giant land-dwelling crocodylomorph inhabited modern-day North Carolina during the late Triassic period. Dinosaur diggers from NSCU and the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences discovered several bone fragments belonging to a newly discovered giant upright crocodile during a dig in the Pekin Formation in Chatham County, North Carolina. The bone fragments were from the skull, spine and upper forearm of Carnufex carolinensis, or the Carolina butcher. The fragments were actually discovered a decade ago, but it wasn’t until experts got around to analysing them that that realized what they had found. A roughly nine-foot tall ancestor of the crocodile that paleontologists believe was among the period’s top predators until the arrival of the dinosaurs. The butcher would roam the warm, wet equatorial region around 230 million years ago using its powerful jaws to crunch through small mammals and armored reptiles. The discovery has changed the thinking on what early crocodiles looked like and did. ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoUSA, where we animate the most entertaining news from ‘MURRICA. Smartphone gun: Palm-sized pistol looks like a mobile phone when folded up - TomoNews

01:20
MONTICELLO, MINNESOTA — A Minnesota startup has come up with the latest innovation in concealable weapons — a gun that looks like your run-of-the-mill mobile phone. According to CNN Money, entrepreneur Kirk Kjellberg developed the Ideal Conceal gun as a way to carry a weapon without bothering other people. Unlike other easily concealed guns like the folding revolver or the Taurus Curve — a gun shaped like a box with rounded edges — its main draw is that it doesn't look like a gun when folded. A double barreled .380 caliber derringer, the Ideal Conceal is designed to resemble a smartphone. It transforms into a gun when the safety clicks open and releases the grip. The gun cannot be fired while in its locked position, making it safe to carry while clipped to the side or in a purse. The palm-sized pistol addresses the demand for easy-to-carry guns that can be accessed quickly for self-defense, according to the brand's website. Already, Kjellberg has received thousands of emails from people who want to buy the weapon. It will sell for $395 when it goes on the market later this year. Not everyone is sold on the idea, though. CNN Money reports that law enforcement officials are concerned about a weapon disguised as something else and hidden in plain sight. And depending on state and local laws, Ideal Conceal carriers may still be required to have a concealed carry permit. ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoUSA, where we animate the most entertaining news from ‘MURRICA. Super sad dog video: Sicko cuts off rottweiler’s ears and nose - TomoNews

06:46
DETROIT — An adorable Rottweiler mix from Detroit, Michigan is recovering from a brutal attack that saw someone cut off his ears and nose. It’s unclear what exactly happened to the dog, named Baron, but the Michigan Humane Society says it looks like a dangerous human was involved. In a video posted to their official Facebook page, the society says Baron was found wandering in West Detroit last week when someone coaxed him into a local business. The society then picked him up and have been treating his injuries. They’re offering $35,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the sicko or sickos involved. In addition to the damage on his ears and nose, there were injuries on the backs of his legs. The medical staff will soon have to amputate his tail because of the extent of damage inflicted on it, reported the Detroit Free Press. On a more positive note, specialists may be able perform reconstructive surgery on his nose. ------------------------------------------------------- For news that's fun and never boring, visit our channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/TomoNewsUS Subscribe to stay updated on all the top stories: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCt-W... New York subway fail: NYC Second Avenue subway project may be cut short due to funding gaps

01:27
A $15 billion dollar gap in the New York City Metropolitan Transportation Authority's five-year capital plan may curtail the city's Second Avenue subway project. According to MTA Chairman Tom Prendergast, funding gaps in MTA's $32 billion capital proposal will probably mean that the second phase of the construction project will be eliminated. This phase of the construction project extends from 96th Street to 125th Street in East Harlem. Prendergast told the New York Daily News that the MTA's priorities are repairing and replacing equipment in the existing subway lines rather than extending new lines. If the Second Avenue subway project is completed, the new subway line will stretch 8.5 miles along the east side of Manhattan and connect East Harlem to the island's southern tip. The project's first phase, which extends from 96th Street to 63rd Street, will be completed by the end of 2016. As a project that's been in the works since the 1920, the Second Avenue subway line has endured numerous false starts and delays mainly due to lack of funding. The New York State budget is up for negotiation this April though, and Governor Cuomo has hinted that transit funding is up for negotiation later this year. ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoUSA, where we animate the most entertaining news from ‘MURRICA. What was supposed to be a normal high school party, however, turned into her worst nightmare. The teen told Houston police she didn't know she had been raped until photos and tweets started popping up on social media. Classmates sharing images of the incident made it go viral. Jada told investigators she believes the host of the party gave her punch that was spiked. The teen says she has no recollection what took place next. ATLANTA — A Charlotte, North Carolina family are in absolute despair following the death of their 5-year-old son last Friday. According to the Atlanta Journal Constitution, Charlie Holt was with his parents at a rotating restaurant atop the Westin Peachtree Plaza hotel in downtown Atlanta. Police say he wandered a short distance from their table, and became stuck between the rotating wall and a table. The restaurant stopped rotating automatically and hotel staff rushed to help Charlie. It took firefighters 30 minutes free him, reported Fox 5 Atlanta. Despite their efforts, he died later at a local hospital from head trauma. In a statement, Charlie’s family asked for privacy and prayers, saying, “No words can express their loss. If you have a loved one, please give them an extra hug today.” ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Go to https://www.patreon.com/tomonews and become a Patron now TomoNews is now on Patreon and we've got some cool perks for our hardcore fans. Mysterious death: Texas drought reveals dead body, helps police solve cold case

01:47
A drought in Texas has helped police solve a the case of a woman who went missing 35 years ago. A city worker in Granbury noticed a vehicle sticking out of Granbury Lake, which had severely low water levels due to a drought this year. Normally, the area where the vehicle was found would have been in 15 to 16 feet of water, and about 15 feet from the normal shoreline, according to authorities. When police pulled out the vehicle, they discovered it was an old Chevy pickup, most likely belonging to Helen Holladay, who was reported missing in 1979. Human remains were also found inside along with Holladay’s purse and credit card. DNA testing will be required to confirm who the remains belong to, but police are fairly certain they belong to Holladay. One evening 35 years ago, neighbors reported seeing Helen drive away from the motor home she shared with her abusive husband, Herman Holladay, after they were involved in a bloody fight. Herman Holladay reported his wife had driven toward the city, but she was never seen again. Police suspected foul play on the part of Herman Holladay, but were not able to charge him due to lack of evidence. Helen was declared dead in 1986, and Herman died a few years later. How Helen Holladay ended up in the water is unclear, but police don't think it was an accident and are handling it as a homicide investigation. ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoUSA, where we animate the most entertaining news from ‘MURRICA. Hindenburg crash: events leading to airship crash that killed 36 people in 1937 - TomoNews

07:07
LAKEHURST, NEW JERSEY — The downing of the Hindenburg airship in New Jersey on May 6, 1937 marked the beginning of the end of airship travel. LAKEHURST, NEW JERSEY — In the early 1900s, rigid airships, also known as dirigibles or zeppelins, were hailed as the transportation method of the future. The skies were dominated by airships, the most famous of which was the Hindenburg LZ 129. The Hindenburg was a 245-meter-long conventional zeppelin that had a maximum speed of 135 km per hour and a cruising speed of 126 km per hour. In 1936, the Hindenburg inaugurated commercial air service across the North Atlantic by carrying over 1,000 passengers on 10 scheduled round trips between Germany and the United States. On May 6, 1937, headwinds delayed the airship’s journey, and its scheduled arrival in Lakehurst, New Jersey at 6:00 a.m. was postponed to 6:00 p.m. In the meantime, the captain decided to take the passengers on a scenic tour. By noon, the ship had reached Boston, and by 3:00 p.m. the Hindenburg was sailing past the skyscrapers of Manhattan. Reports said the large vessel flying past the city created such a sight that people ran out into the streets to see it. When the aircraft was finally cleared to land, it returned to Lakehurst, approaching the field shortly after 7:00 p.m. at an altitude of approximately 600 feet. The captain initiated a wide left turn to fly in a descending pattern around the north and west of the field, to line up for a landing into the wind to the east. During the landing, hydrogen was valved and three drops of water ballast were ordered in an attempt to keep the ship in level trim. When these efforts failed to level the vessel, six crewmen were ordered to go forward in the ship to add their weight to the bow. The vessel was set to make a high-altitude landing, which meant dropping an anchor from a greater height than it normally would be. This required fewer ground crew members, but the process would take longer. In an attempt to land quickly, the captain reportedly executed a tight S-turn to change the direction of the ship’s landing. This was when things went wrong. Some experts later theorized that this sharp turn overstressed the ship, causing a bracing wire to snap and slash a gas cell. This allowed hydrogen to mix with air to form a highly explosive combination. Witnesses claimed they saw a flutter on top of the airship, which indicated gas leaking from the vessel. A fire soon broke out, although accounts of where it started varied. The flames reportedly quickly burned through the logo on the side of the ship before consuming the rest of the vessel. In the end, 36 people died, but a remarkable number of people survived. Faith in the industry plummeted following the Hindenburg disaster. The event was captured in numerous photographs and in footage, which was broadcast across the globe. The airship industry never recovered. However, dirigibles were losing public favor even prior to the Hindenburg’s downing. Three months before Hindenburg first took flight, Pan American Airways’ M-130 China Clipper made its first scheduled flight across the Pacific. Between the high cost of infrastructure and crew, safety issues, and competition with better technology, passenger airships may have been on their way out even before the Hindenburg disaster took place. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Go to https://www.patreon.com/tomonews and become a Patron now TomoNews is now on Patreon and we've got some cool perks for our hardcore fans. School employee fired by Maryland school for correcting student’s misspelled tweet - TomoNews

04:26
FREDERICK, MARYLAND — A social media manager for a Maryland school district was recently fired for being sassy on Twitter — the victim of higher-ups with sticks up their you-know-wheres. The Frederick News Post reports that the incident began after a student sent a tweet to Frederick County Public Schools account, asking for school to be cancelled the next day, but misspelling the word tomorrow as ‘tammarow’. Katie Nash, who manages the school’s Twitter account, replied in jest, asking how the student would learn how to spell the word correctly if school closed. The spectacular burn lit up the Twitterverse, with netizens very amused by the quip. The student didn’t take it personally, and even continued with the harmless banter. Unfortunately, the uptight members of the school board did. They called Nash to a meeting and promptly fired her for what they deemed to be inappropriate tweets. The firing led to a social media uproar, with Twitter users coming to Nash’s defense, and students clamoring to get her back. Nash admitted that she didn’t think she was going to be fired, instead expecting the school to give her counseling or suggestions on how to do her job. Still, she claims she she understands where the school is coming from. ------------------------------------------------------------- TomoNews is your best source for real news. White lion cub: Brazil zoo shows off two-month old white lion cub

01:09
A rare white lion cub has been born in a zoo in Santa Catarina, Brazil, according to Reuters. Two-month-old female cub Clara is reportedly in good health. She was rejected by her mother shortly after giving birth but zookeepers at Beto Carrero World have been feeding the cub a diet of goats' milk mixed with vitamins. For the time being, Clara is in a pen isolated from the zoo's other lions but keepers expect to re-introduce her to her pack at six months of age. Clara's parents were brought over to the Brazilian zoo from Pretoria, South Africa in 2011. White lions occur due to a color mutation in a certain subspecies of lion. They are quite rare. Their color makes them easy prey for hunters in the wild due to their lack of camouflage. Most white lions are held captive in zoos and circuses worldwide. ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoUSA, where we animate the most entertaining news from ‘MURRICA. A driver of a white SUV nearly killed a group of kids in Washington state as they waited for their school bus on Friday morning. The driver reportedly weaved through traffic before nearly mowing down the kids. Washington state law requires drivers on either side of the road to stop for a school bus. The only time you are not required to stop for a school bus is if you're on the other side of a major road that has a median or physical barrier that separates the sides of the road. A US$1,000 reward has been offered for info on the driver of a white GMC Jimmy SUV with tinted windows and a sunroof. ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoUSA, where we animate the most entertaining news from ‘MURRICA. FBI offers $3m reward for GameOver Zeus creator Russian hacker Evgeniy Bogachev

01:29
The FBI is offering a $3 million reward for info leading to the arrest of its most wanted cyber criminal, the russian Hacker Evgeniy Bogachev. This is the highest price ever put on the head of a hacker, as this particular guy allegedly made off with $100 million from American bank accounts. The 31-year-old fugitive, is accused of designing an attack known as GameOver Zeus which sent phishing emails containing malicious links or files enabling Bogachev and his ring to siphon bank account numbers and passwords. After the infected computers became part of a global network of compromised machines, or botnet’, the hackers were able to access victims bank account to steal money. Bogachev also reportedly used another piece of malware, Cryptorlocker, to encrypt users’ computer files. His ring would then force victims to pay ransoms of up to $700 to unlock their files. About 25% of affected users are located in the United states. More than one million computers are believed to be infected by the “GameOver Zeus” botnet. Bogachev was charged by federal authorities last year in Pittsburgh with conspiracy to commit wire fraud, bank fraud and money laundering. If you have information about Bogachev which the FBI would be interested in, please contact the Bureau at 1-800-CALL-FBI or via any U.S. embassy or consulate. ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoUSA, where we animate the most entertaining news from ‘MURRICA. Gun self defense: Army vet Doug Jandebeur, 84, uses handgun to turn tables on mugger

00:57
Doug Jandebeur, 84, fought off a mugger on Monday evening by showing his assailant his automatic handgun. Doug was leaving his business in Tulsa, Oklahoma when a mugger spotted the elderly man. As Doug was getting into his truck to drive home with his wife, the thief pounced—punching him and grabbing his wallet. But Doug is a U.S. Army veteran and Doug is a big fan of the right to bear arms. CCTV footage aired on U.S. news stations caught video of the moment the tables were turned on the surprised would-be robber. The mugger got the wallet, but as Doug put it, he also almost got himself “ventilated” by the Doug’s automatic handgun. The would-be thief turned tail and ran—no one was seriously hurt in the incident, but Doug told the media he was very glad he had his gun with him. In fact, he told reporters that “anyone who doesn’t arm himself is asking for trouble.” Do you agree with Mr. Jandebeur?

Asteroid hitting Earth: NASA Asteroid Redirect Mission (ARM) will use Enhanced Gravity Tractor

01:24
NASA announced a plan on Wednesday regarding a future mission to change the trajectory of an asteroid. The mission may have the potential to protect Earth from an impending asteroid impact in the future. NASA's Asteroid Redirect Mission or ARM, scheduled for the mid-2020's, involves sending a robotic spacecraft to an asteroid passing by Earth. The robot will then do a series of fly-by optical surveys of the asteroid surface. The robot would then land on the asteroid for the boulder collection portion of the mission which would last about 10 minutes. After pushing away from the asteroid and three days of analysing the boulder, it will begin the planetary defense portion of the mission. Using the gravitational attraction between the spacecraft and boulder, they will attempt to deflect the asteroid, a process they call Enhanced Gravity Tractor. It will then take about six years for the robot to return to lunar orbit where astronauts aboard the Orion spacecraft will dock with the robot to further study the boulder. The current concept for the manned portion of ARM involves two-astronauts and is expected to take take about three-and-a-half weeks. ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoUSA, where we animate the most entertaining news from ‘MURRICA. Seaworld orca dies: Tilikum the Blackfish killer whale has died - TomoNews

09:31
ORLANDO — On January 6, the world’s most famous whale passed away. SeaWorld announced that Tilikum the orca whale has finally died due to complications from a bacterial lung infection he’d been fighting. Tilikum’s health had been in decline for a few months, but the suffering he endured lasted for more than three decades. In 1983, then 2-year-old Tilikum was captured off the coast of Iceland, ripped from his family and taken to a marine zoo. A year later, Tilikum was then transferred to Sealand of the Pacific, a former marine park in Canada’s British Columbia. Forced to learn tricks and perform for audiences regularly, it didn’t take long for Tilikum to become aggressive toward humans. In 1991, 20-year-old part-time trainer Keltie Byrne was working with Tilikum and two other whales when she slipped into the pool. As she struggled to get out of the pool, the whales reportedly prevented her from doing so. Tilikum supposedly carried the young girl’s dead body around on his back for the next two hours before staff were able to retrieve her. After Sealand of the Pacific closed down the next year, Tilikum was then transferred to Orlando, sold to SeaWorld for $1 million. There, too, he was kept in a small tank, built to hold only one-ten-thousandth of the water an orca would normally traverse over a day in the wild. Experts say these conditions can lead to psychosis for the whales, and it wasn’t long before Tilikum struck again. In 1999, a 27-year-old drifter named Daniel Dukes had somehow snuck into the park, and dove into a breeding tank with the whale. The next morning, Dukes’ body was found draped across Tilikum’s back, a familiar sight. His swimming trunks were found floating in the pool. The death was reported as a likely drowning, but that wouldn’t explain all the injuries Dukes suffered. His genitals had reportedly been bitten off. Tilikum’s murderous streak culminated in 2010, when SeaWorld trainer Dawn Brancheau was pulled down into the pool during a live performance. Brancheau’s death was the focus of the 2013 acclaimed documentary Blackfish, which exposed SeaWorld’s treatment of its orca whales and nearly sunk the company after an extreme public backlash. In response to the film, SeaWorld has since halted its captive breeding program, and announced it would be phasing out theatrical orca shows. In a statement last week, SeaWorld mourned the loss of Tilikum, and noted the “world-class care” provided to him, and that he “lived a long and enriching life while at SeaWorld.” ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Welcome to TomoNews, where we animate the most entertaining news on the internets. Millionaire leaves $20 million inheritance to daughters, but there's a catch - TomoNews

01:20
NEW YORK — When real estate mogul and millionaire Maurice Laboz died, he left his daughters $10 million each, but they have to wait until they're 35 years old or complete certain life goals established by their father to cash in. Victoria Laboz, 17, and her older sister Marlena Laboz, 21, ar entitled to a certain amount of their inheritance if they do things approved by their father such as attending a prestigious university, getting married, and having children in wedlock. In the year 2020, they can also tap a percentage of the $10 million, which amounts to three times the amount listed on their personal federal tax return. Finally, they can also access a certain amount of their inheritance for taking care of their mother, Ewa Laboz. Mrs. Laboz doesn't get a single red cent because she was in the middle of divorce proceedings when Mr. Laboz died and he wrote her out of the will citing a prenuptial agreement. Mrs. Laboz is fighting the decision in court, so she can get her hands on part of the $37 million left behind by her deceased husband. The will stipulates that after the daughters get their portion, the rest of the money is to go to charities like the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's and Meals on Wheels. ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoUSA, where we animate the most entertaining news from ‘MURRICA. Teacher knees pre-K special needs student in back, arrested after caught on video - TomoNews

01:31
TIFT COUNTY, GA — A 71-year-old teacher of special needs students has been charged with second-degree cruelty to a child after security camera video showed her cruelly kneeing a 4-year-old in the back. If convicted, Amelia Stripling could face up to 10 years in prison. Taken on March 17, the video shows Stripling approach the 4-year-old student from behind and aggressively knee him in the back. The boy flies forward. Stripling then picks him up and dusts him off as though nothing happened. The poor kid literally did not see it coming. Another teacher appears at the door, unaware of what just happened. Stripling apparently thought she got away with the callous act. After school officials saw the video and notified the boy's parents, the child's mother reported the incident to police. Stripling resigned the next day after 22 years of teaching. A warrant was issued for her arrest and Stripling turned herself in. She now faces charges of second-degree cruelty to a child. If convicted, she could serve a prison sentence of as little as a year, or as many as 10 years. In November 2014, Stripling was recognized for her teaching abilities, receiving the "Excellence in Teaching Award" from the Tift County Foundation for Educational Excellence. ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoUSA, where we animate the most entertaining news from ‘MURRICA. Everyday Heroes: Brave woman throws herself in front of car to save child’s life - TomoNews

09:51
BRIDGEPORT, CONNECTICUT — A woman who put her life on the line to save a child from almost certain death is being hailed a hero. Shanta Jordan threw herself in front of a speeding car to stop the little boy from getting pulverized, just seconds before the vehicle ploughed into a restaurant. Surveillance footage captured a scene of carnage in Bridgeport, Connecticut last Wednesday as the out-of-control car hurtled toward pedestrians at high speed. The video shows the quick-thinking Jordan jumping in front of the kid and risking her own life to save his. Jordan, the boy, and a second child were all injured in the incident and rushed to the hospital, News 12 Connecticut reported. Police said Jordan’s body took a lot of the impact from the crash and most likely saved the boy’s life. The boy sustained serious injuries and doctors initially feared that his legs would have to be amputated. Thankfully though, after hours in the operating theater, they managed to save them. Allen Pearson, 37, the driver of the car, was also injured. He’s been charged with reckless driving, failure to stop and having no insurance on the car, which also wasn’t registered. Police said there were no skid marks on the street next to the accident, so it’s likely the driver didn’t even hit the brakes. Jordan didn’t even know the little boy. A special tribute will be held in her honor at Bridgeport City Hall next week. ------------------------------------------------------------- Go to https://www.patreon.com/tomonews and become a Patron now TomoNews is now on Patreon and we've got some cool perks for our hardcore fans. Attempted robbery fail: Gun store owner fights back, kills robber in self defense - TomoNews

05:42
MABLETON, GEORGIA — An armed robber was shot dead and his accomplice is on the run after a failed hold-up at a gun store in Georgia. Security camera footage of the fatal Dec. 26 incident was released this week. It shows gun store owner Jimmy Groover, 64, moving faster than green grass through a goose to defend his property and his life. Two unidentified armed men burst into the store in broad daylight, pointed their pistols, and threatened to kill the owner and his assistant if they didn’t get down on the floor, NBC affiliate WXIA reported. But they didn’t count on old Jimmy Groover being armed and ready. In the blink of an eye, the gun store owner fired at the first robber, shooting him dead. The other suspect skedaddled and he’s now wanted by the police. Groover said he felt bad about killing the guy but knew he had little choice after the robbers made threats to kill. Groover’s store has been robbed around 20 times over the years but this is the first time he’s ever shot one of the bandits. Detectives said it was unlikely the grandfather would be charged with any crime because he acted in self-defense.

Grossest things found in food: pregnant woman finds bloody fingertip in Applebee's salad - TomoNews

01:11
PASO ROBLES, CALIFORNIA — A pregnant California woman is taking Applebee's to court after allegedly finding a bloody, severed fingertip in her salad, according to a UPI report. Cathleen Martin says she and her family were happily enjoying a meal at Paso Robles Applebee's on December 20th when they discovered the fingertip in the Chinese Chicken Salad they had already begun eating. "It was so gross," said Martin in a press release issued her lawyer. "I'm on pins and needles worrying about what my family might have been exposed to." Applebee's has since admitted said fingertip belonged to one of their employees, though, it's not yet clear how it ended up in a customer's food. The gross incident forced Martin, who's due in two months, and her family to get medically screened to make sure they didn't catch anything. She's now seeking damages from Applebee's for emotional distress, medical expenses and lost income. ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoUSA, where we animate the most entertaining news from ‘MURRICA. Hookup app Mixxxer is a more risque version of Tinder

01:51
Do you know about Tinder, the smartphone app that boils down online dating to mere swipes of the finger? It’s the app equivalent of that meat market bar in the trendy part of town. Now there’s another app that goes one further and bares all… literally. Called Mixxxer, it makes no attempts to cover up its reason for existence...or anything else for that matter. Too hot for Apple or Google’s App stores, Mixxxer exists solely as a mobile friendly webapp. And it’s not designed for those who are in to dating or even hanging out-- It's prime directive is to get you to third base, or even hit a home run as fast as possible. While we know it'll be a hit for the fellas out there, we're not so sure about the ladies. It’s hard enough convincing the fairer sex to use any of these apps as it is. With this new app so blatantly “out there”, we wonder how many of the sites over 128-thousand members are actually female? Perhaps Mixxxer's developers watched "The Natural" growing up. "Build it, and they will come." ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoUSA, where we animate the most entertaining news from ‘MURRICA. Drug smuggling: Arizona teen girls hid heroin in private parts during traffic stop - TomoNews

01:17
YAVAPAI COUNTY, ARIZONA — A drug smuggler was hospitalized for a procedure to remove a pack of heroin from inside her body after she and her partners were arrested during a traffic stop earlier this week. Miranda Baldonado and Sarah Valencia, both aged 19, along with 29-year-old Michael Torrez, were pulled over in a Chrysler PT Cruiser for an equipment violation on Interstate 40 Monday morning, Yavapai County Sheriff's Office spokesman Dwight D'Evelyn said. D'Evelyn said the officer noticed that the trio were acting suspiciously, and asked to search the vehicle, which was owned by Baldonado. Though Baldonado denied this request. KPHO reports that the officer then walked around the car with his K9 partner, who barked at the right side of the trunk. Police found more than 1 pound of heroin wrapped in condoms and soon learned that both women had also hidden a quantity of the drug inside their "private parts". While Valencia was able to remove the substance, Baldonado needed medical assistance to safely extract the narcotics from her body. Police say a total of 1.8 pounds of heroin was recovered. All three suspects were booked on drug charges. Valencia and Baldonado face additional charges of evidence tampering. Both women are being held on bonds of $150,000 while Torrez was set at $180,000. Bird Dog! Watch this cute two-day old Dalmatian pelican chick bark like a dog

01:31
San Diego Zoo has been busy showing off its two newest residents - two Dalmatian pelican chicks. The two chicks, just two days and 11 days old, were born at San Diego Zoo Safari Park but the parents couldn't raise them. The Eurasian Dalmatian pelican is one of the rarest species of pelican in the world. It is also the largest pelican and one of the largest flighted birds in the world. A fully grown adult bird can reach up to 6 feet in length with a wingspan of nine to 11 feet. The Dalmatian pelican is listed as vulnerable by the International UNion for Conservation of Nature. The chicks were born as part of a North American breeding program for vulnerable species. Thirty-four chicks have been hatched since 2006. ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoUSA, where we animate the most entertaining news from ‘MURRICA. Giant sinkholes near Wink, Texas are expanding, on the verge of catastrophic collapse - TomoNews

02:18
WINK, TEXAS — Satellite images show that two massive sinkholes near Wink, Texas are growing, and that more sinkholes are forming nearby, according to geophysicists at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, who reported their findings in the journal Remote Sensing. The sinkholes, named Wink 1 and Wink 2, are located between the small towns of Wink and Kermit in West Texas. The scientists said the sinkholes are unstable and subsiding at an alarming rate. More sinkholes could appear in the future, and they could collapse into one giant sinkhole. A collapse of the sinkholes, because they are near two towns as well as oil and gas facilities, could be catastrophic, the scientists warned. “This area is heavily populated with oil and gas production equipment and installations, hazardous liquid pipelines, as well as two communities. The intrusion of freshwater to underground can dissolve the interbedded salt layers and accelerate the sinkhole collapse,” Jin-Woo Kim, leader of the study and research scientist at Southern Methodist University, said in a statement. Wink 2 is about 3 kilometers from the town of Wink, which has a population of 940 people. Wink 1 is about 6 kilometers from the town of Kermit, which is home to 6,000 people. ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoNews, where we animate the most entertaining news on the internets. School bus accident: girl dragged at least 100 ft after her backpack gets stuck in door - TomoNews

01:22
LOUISVILLE, KENTUCKY A 7-year-old girl got her backpack caught in the door of a school bus and was dragged at least 100 feet down the road in a suburb of Louisville, Kentucky on Friday. A neighbor's security camera caught a few seconds of the incident on camera. The Jefferson County Public School bus driver didn't notice the little girl being pulled alongside the bus, and only stopped when the driver of a Chevy Camaro came to the rescue and sped in front of the bus, forcing the driver to stop. According to the police report, the girl was dragged beside the bus for 100 feet, but eyewitnesses estimated the distance to be closer to the length of a football field. The incident is currently under investigation. ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoUSA, where we animate the most entertaining news from ‘MURRICA. Pee in your pants, poop in your pants, but stay in your seat! says Florida elementary school

01:52
Sunset Hill Elementary School in Tarpon Springs, Florida, has made local headlines twice in the last week for denying bathroom breaks to small children, with predictable results. When Parents complained, the school’s response was clumsy and victim blamey, as if they were entirely unfamiliar with children. In the first incident, last week, a kindergarten girl was denied a bathroom break in music class, resulting in the little girl peeing in front of her classmates. Then the school made her wear a diaper, after the fact, which is not how diapers work. In a masterpiece of meaningless verbiage, Principal Daphne Mills wrote a letter to parents saying: “You may have seen a recent news story that occurred at our school ... We are reviewing the incident to understand what happened ... Please contact me if you have any questions.” Indeed, the local ABC affiliate did have some questions, and made a dubious attempt to help the girl’s case by publishing her name and face in an article containing graphic descriptions of her pee-soaked embarrassment, thus ensuring that her family must now change their names and move to Bolivia to become llama herders. In the second incident, a boy with intestinal issues deuced in his pants in a classroom with its own ensuite toilet! In that case, administrators flatly denied that the boy’s accident ever happened, because their flawless record keeping doesn’t show any such event. The evidence of mistreatment is damning, yet Sunset Hill Elementary denies they’re running a sweatshop. But if that’s so, then how do they explain the macaroni art motorcycle parts and machine guns circulating in the area? ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoUSA, where we animate the most entertaining news from ‘MURRICA.
