Level n Tort a cake 2 ways 2 mins!!
Leveling and torting a cake is the foundation to successful cake decorating. Let me share with you the 2 ways of leveling and torting a cake. If you are just starting cake decorating, you can try the method using the cake leveler. It's almost fail proof. But if you dun feel like investing in additional tools, you can use the knife method too. However, that method requires some skills. But it can be succeeded with practice. Wilton cake leveler: https://www.amazon.com/Wilton-Cake-Leveler-Small-10-Inch/dp/B007E8KCFY/ref=dp_ob_image_kitchen I don't earn anything if u purchase from the link above. You can easily get the wilton cake leveler from any cake craft stores in your country or something similiar so long it has that wide squarish feet and its serrated wire. Foundation 3 - How to Crumb Coat
Hi i am Alice. In this video, you will learn how to crumb coat a cake. This is a step taken to seal in the crumbs so that when you are going to ice the cake later, your cake will look really clean outside. Items you need will be: - angled spatula/ palate knife, large one - a steady turntable A semi naked cake look is achieved in this way too. Once you get a rough coat, you are done and you can decorate as you please. Be sure to chill your cake before going onto the next step. If you find these videos useful, do share it with your friends. Also do give a thumbs up and subscribe to my channel if you would like to see more of such videos being uploaded. Love, Alice
