Arriving in the Bahamas at the port of Half Moon Cay

04:02
Half Moon Cay, Little San Salvador Island, Bahamas Half Moon Cay (pronounced Key) is a private island, which was known as Little San Salvador Island till Holland America changed the name to Half-Moon Cay, in honor of one of Henry Hudson's ships. Holland America Line purchased the island for $6 million US dollars in December 1996. When the island it is not being used by Holland America, Carnival Cruise Line ships make port there bringing guests to the island with tender boats to enjoy the nine miles of crescent shape beach which stretch along the vibrant blue waters. Half Moon Cay also serves as a nature preserve as Holland America takes great strides to maintain the ecosystem of this pristine island as only 45 acres of the 2,500 acre island have been developed. Half Moon Cay mostly is mostly a deserted island when ships are not in port no more than 20 year round caretakers reside on the island. Workers from Eleuthera Island come to work at the Fort San Salvador Welcome Center marketplace along with staff members from the cruise ship that work in the cafeteria style food serving area that is not far from the swimming area of beach. Half Moon Cay has been voted the "Best Private Island" by Porthole Magazine for four consecutive years. Rehoboth Beach, Delaware beaches open at night

01:26
The town of Rehoboth Beach, Delaware often bills itself as "The Nation's Summer Capital" due to the fact that it is a frequent summer vacation destination for Washington, D.C., residents (121.78 miles / 2 hrs 46 mins from The White House) as well as visitors from Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania and New York City ( 208.07 miles / 3 hrs 51 mins via DC2NY bus company) Vacationers are drawn for many reasons, including the town's charm, tax free shopping and famous for its beaches, wooden boardwalk, eclectic shops, amusements, and sporting activities The Natural Resources Defense Council NRDC awarded Rehoboth Beach with a 5-Star rating in water quality. This award was given only to 12 other locations, one being neighboring Dewey Beach. Out of the 30 states with coastline, the Delaware Beaches ranked number 1 in water quality. Rehoboth (Hebrew: רְחוֹבוֹת) means "broad spaces." It appears three times in the Old Testament as a place name: a well dug by Isaac (at modern Wadi er-Ruheibeh) (Gen. 26:22), a city on the Euphrates River (Gen. 36:37; 1 Chr. 1:48), and one of the cities of Asshur (Gen. 10:11). Hence the name may have had a special appeal for the religious founders of the city, although the adjacent bay had already borne the name Rehoboth for at least a century before the town was founded. Rehoboth Beach is a city along the Atlantic Ocean Delaware Beaches in eastern Sussex County, Delaware. Puerto Rico (Spanish for "rich port") is officially named the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, which is an unincorporated territory of the United States, located in the northeastern Caribbean. Puerto Ricans became U.S. citizens in 1917, and the United States Congress legislates many aspects of Puerto Rican life. However, the islanders may not vote in U.S. presidential elections.Since 1947, Puerto Ricans have been able to elect their own governor. The official languages of Puerto Rico are Spanish and English, with Spanish being the primary language. The island's current political status, including the possibility of statehood or independence, is widely debated in Puerto Rico. A referendum on statehood, independence, or continuance of the status quo held on November 6, 2012. The terms boricua and borincano derive from Borikén and Borinquen respectively, and are commonly used to identify someone of Puerto Rican heritage. The island is also popularly known in Spanish as la isla del encanto, meaning "the island of enchantment". Columbus named the island San Juan Bautista, in honor of Saint John the Baptist. Eventually, traders and other maritime visitors came to refer to the entire island as "Puerto Rico", and "San Juan" became the name of the main trading/shipping port. Ryan Janek Wolowski, calling for Marriage Equality at the Supreme Court of the United States

Ryan Janek Wolowski, calling for Marriage Equality at The Supreme Court of the United States in Washington, D.C. The Supreme Court of the United States of America is the highest court in the United States. It has ultimate jurisdiction over all federal courts and over state court cases involving issues of federal law, and original jurisdiction over a small range of cases. The Court, which meets in the United States Supreme Court Building in Washington, D.C., consists of a chief justice and eight associate justices who are nominated by the President and confirmed by the United States Senate. The Supreme Court was organized on February 2, 1790 Marriage Equality red logo at The Supreme Court of the United States building in Washington, D.C. USA The official logo of the HRC, adopted in 1995, consists of a yellow equals sign imposed onto a blue background. The logo was created in 1995 by design firm Stone Yamashita, who attracted then-Executive Director Elizabeth Birch to its bold design. A temporary, ongoing logo of the HRC trademark equal sign is a red revision of the official logo. The Campaign changed the profile picture on its Facebook page around 1 PM EDT on Monday, March 25, 2013 to the current red logo. The change is a social media effort by the campaign to show support for marriage equality in light of hearings in the Supreme Court (United States v. Windsor and Hollingsworth v. Perry) on the constitutionality of same-sex marriage. According to HRC spokesman Charlie Joughin, the red "is a symbol for love, and that's what marriage is all about." Inaugural Address by President Barack Obama, January 21, 2013 "Our journey is not complete until our gay brothers and sisters are treated like anyone else under the law --- (applause) -- for if we are truly created equal, then surely the love we commit to one another must be equal as well." http://www.whitehouse.gov/the-press-office/2013/01/21/inaugural-address-president-barack-obama Barack Obama 44th President of the United States of America 2013 www.whitehouse.gov/administration/president-obama The Supreme Court of the United States 1 First St NE, Washington, DC 20543 (202) 479-3000 www.supremecourt.gov/ Video Washington, D.C. Chinese New Year is the most important of the traditional Chinese holidays. In China, it is also known as the Spring Festival, the literal translation of the modern Chinese name. Chinese New Year celebrations traditionally ran from Chinese New Year's Day itself, the first day of the first month of the Chinese calendar, to the Lantern Festival on the 15th day of the first month, making the festival the longest in the Chinese calendar. Because the Chinese calendar is lunisolar, the Chinese New Year is often referred to as the "Lunar New Year". The Chinese Lunar calendar follows a 12 year cycle and each of the 12 years is represented by 12 Animals which form the Chinese Zodiac. New Years Eve 2013 - 2014 in Times Square New York City USA

00:22
Times Square, New York City, New Years Eve Ball Drop, 2013 - 2014 The Times Square Ball is a time ball located atop the One Times Square building in New York City, primarily utilized as part of New Year's Eve celebrations held in Times Square. Yearly at 11:59 p.m. EST on December 31, the ball is lowered 77 feet (23 m) down a specially designed flagpole, resting on the midnight to signal the start of the new year. The first ball drop in Times Square took place on December 31, 1907, and has been held annually since (except in 1942 and 1943 in observance of wartime blackouts). The ball's design has also been updated over the years to reflect new advances in technologies—its original design utilized 100 incandescent light bulbs, iron, and wood in its construction, while its current incarnation features a computerized LED lighting system and an outer surface consisting of triangle-shaped crystal panels. As of 2009, the ball is also displayed atop One Times Square year-round and is removed only for general maintenance. The Times Square ball drop is one of the best-known New Year's celebrations internationally, attended by at least one million spectators yearly, with an estimated global audience of at least 1 billion. The prevalence of the Times Square ball drop has also inspired other similar "drops" held locally in other cities and towns around the world. Niagara Falls State Park, New York, U.S.A. Niagara Falls is the collective name for three waterfalls that straddle the international border between the Canadian province of Ontario and the U.S. state of New York.
