3 Steps to Treat Lyme Disease

07:36
Lyme Disease treatment and prevention: https://draxe.com/natural-strategies-to-cure-lyme-disease/ In this video, you will learn 3 steps to decrease the symptoms of Lyme disease in as few as 7 days through diet, supplements and natural treatments. 1. Diet The ideal diet for Lyme disease is meant to boost your immune system. Seventy percent of your immune system is located in your gut, so you want to follow a diet to heal and seal your gut lining. Remember that there is not a specific food that will heal you but rather your body heals itself. When you have damage within your body, you want to strengthen your natural immune system by consuming foods that are easy to digest. Don’t have ice cold drinks, raw juice and raw vegetables but rather have warm and drying foods. Bone Broth Meal: Combine organic meat, bone broth and vegetables in a crockpot to obtain the vitamins and minerals you need to heal and seal your gut lining. You can also add in fermented vegetables and probiotics. 2. Supplements Vitamin D3 (5,000 - 10,000 IU/day) to help your body fight off disease B-Complex supports cellular function CoQ10 (100 - 200mg/day) Bone Broth protein powder or collagen protein powder to repair and heal damaged tissues Adaptogenic herbs 3. Natural Treatments: Ozone therapy Acupuncture http://draxe.com/what-is-acupuncture/ Chinese Herbs Qi Deficiency http://draxe.com/qi-deficiency/ *This content is strictly the opinion of Dr. Josh Axe, and is for informational and educational purposes only. Stevia Extract Can Treat Lyme Disease, Better Than Standard Antibiotics

04:14
Lyme disease is one of the fastest vector-borne diseases in the United States. Standard Lyme testing misses many cases of Lyme, and two- to four-week antibiotic treatments for those diagnosed are not always effective. Stevia harbors major antimicrobial activity. University of New Haven researchers found stevia leaf extracted with alcohol kills Lyme disease in all of its form, including the hard-to-kill biofilm form. These tests were done in a lab and need to be followed up with human studies, one of which is underway. The most highly processed form of stevia, the white powder form, did not kill Lyme disease, although this is the only for the FDA “generally recognizes as safe.” The stevia extracted with alcohol is considered a dietary supplement. Green leaf stevia powder is the most unadulterated form of stevia, although that wasn’t tested in the Lyme study. Stevia is in the ragweed family, so if you’re allergic to ragweed, you may want to avoid stevia. source : https://tophealthjournal.com/454/stevia-extract-can-treat-lyme-disease-preclinical-study-says/ ------- Article-TUBE2 is informational and learning portal for raising awareness for healthy food and wellness portal that today is a treasure of information. Antibiotics and Lyme Disease

03:24
The conventional medical treatment for Lyme disease is 21 days of antibiotics. However, when those 21 days are up, even if you still have symptoms, your doctor is likely to stop your treatment - believing 21 days of antibiotics is enough to kill off the infection. Lyme is slow to grow, so it can take longer for antibiotics to eradicate the infection. New research on Lyme shows that some Lyme organisms have become resistant to antibiotics commonly used to treat it. If you have acute Lyme disease, taking antibiotics is appropriate and can help eradicate the infection and keep it from causing further damage to your body. According to the CDC, up to 20 percent of people with acute Lyme disease will fail antibiotic therapy and go on to develop chronic Lyme disease with persistent fatigue, joint pain, muscle aches and other neurological problems. The evidence for using antibiotics for chronic Lyme disease is not encouraging. Some research has found no benefit to using antibiotics long-term with Lyme disease and other studies have found that any improvement was lost shortly after stopping antibiotics. If you’ve been on the rollercoaster of antibiotics and have not improved, then it’s time to start looking at other options. I’ve been on that rollercoaster and I know what it’s like. But I want you to know you have options. In my book, "The Lyme Solution," I share what I used to treat myself and my patients. You’ll learn • how to eat the right foods • improve your gut health and immune system • detoxify better • enjoy deeper, restful sleep • and use novel therapies to modulate your immune system. If you’ve been feeling any combination of these symptoms and you haven’t discovered why you feel this way, then it’s time to find out if it’s Lyme disease. Find out now at my website at http://www.DarinIngelsND.com Start on your road to recovery with "The Lyme Solution" and make a commitment to your health and your life. Study Finds Stevia Kills Lyme Disease Pathogen Better Than Antibiotics

02:58
A new study just came out that shows that Stevia is more effective at killing the lyme disease pathogen than the drugs that big pharma has been using for this purpose. Study - https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/26716015 Lyme disease is a very serious condition that happens a lot in the United States. One of the main treatments has been antibiotics, but the problem is that this lyme disease treatment is not always effective. So it's really interesting right now when a study comes out showing that something as simple as stevia is very effective at helping with lyme disease. Stevia:Alternative To Antibiotics In Treating Lyme Disease!Stevia Cures Lyme Disease|Stevia benefits Thanks For Watching This Video:Stevia:Alternative To Antibiotics In Treating Lyme Disease!Stevia Cures Lyme Disease|Stevia benefits : https://youtu.be/bDXcIJHNwfU Don't forget to Subscribe for updates: https://goo.gl/WqO5fo Lyme disease seems to be getting more attention lately in the media, partly because it’s very difficult to treat and causes a multitude of symptoms throughout the body. An estimated 300,000 people are infected by Lyme in the United States every year by deer ticks and black-legged ticks, according to the CDC. The infection can ravage the health of an individual for years on end. Lyme disease is a bacterial infection and as such, it is primarily treated with antibiotics. However, antibiotics are often insufficient. If left untreated, Lyme will spread to the joints, heart, and nervous system. A study published in the European Journal of Microbiology & Immunology proved that Stevia leaf is as effective than antibiotics in treating Lyme disease. The study was conducted at the Dpt. of Biology and Environmental Science, at the University of New Haven in Connecticut. Stevia extracts from by the brands Nutramedix®, Now®, Sweetleaf®, and Truvia® were purchased from health food stores and tested against Borrelia pathogen. Interestingly, the liquid Stevia made from alcohol extraction was most effective against Borrelia, while the powder form and Stevioside showed no effect. In summary, the article stated “The leaf extract of Stevia possesses many phytochemicals… with known antimicrobial properties against many pathogens.” Furthermore, “Results from this study suggest that a natural product such as Stevia leaf extract could be considered as an effective agent against B. burgdorferi.” Stevia leaf is commonly used in powder or liquid form, as a substitute for sugar. Stevia is three hundred times as sweet as sugar, has zero calories and does not raise blood sugar levels. There are many studies, such as the present study, relating Stevia with health benefits. One study showed that consuming Stevia prior to a meal helped participants eat less. Stevia has also been shown to support healthy blood pressure levels and help immune, intestinal and urinary functions. Still, it’s important to remember that artificial sweeteners like Stevia are heavily processed and serve to perpetuate our reliance on the sweet taste. As any sweetener, Stevia should be used in moderation, and in the rawest form possible. What are your thoughts? Please comment below and share this news! Professor Eva Sapi, chairwoman of the Department and her students tested the whole-leaf stevia extract liquid to treat Borrelia burgdorferi — the bacteria that causes Lyme disease. Stevia, a common coffee sweetener, is usually consumed in a powdered form. Borrelia forms a biofilm, or slime in the body. That biofilm allows it to hide out from antibiotics, making it very difficult to kill. This alternative form for Borrelia was shown not just in test tubes, but in human infected skin by the University of New Haven research group....... https://seqrecy.mysisel.com/en/US/productdetail.htm?id=4642 You can get FuCoyDon the product with the link up here. https://seqrecy.mysisel.com Lyme disease, also known as Lyme borreliosis, is an infectious disease caused by bacteria of the Borrelia type.[1] The most common sign of infection is an expanding area of redness, known as erythema migrans, that begins at the site of a tick bite about a week after it has occurred. The rash is typically neither itchy nor painful. About 25% of people do not develop a rash. Other early symptoms may include fever, headache, and feeling tired. If untreated, symptoms may include loss of the ability to move one or both sides of the face, joint pains, severe headaches with neck stiffness, or heart palpitations, among others. Months to years later, repeated episodes of joint pain and swelling may occur. Occasionally, people develop shooting pains or tingling in their arms and legs. Despite appropriate treatment, about 10 to 20% of people also develop joint pains, have memory problems, and feel tired much of the time.[2] Lyme disease is transmitted to humans by the bite of infected ticks of the Ixodes genus.[3] Usually, the tick must be attached for 36 to 48 hours before the bacteria can spread.[4] In North America, the only bacterium involved is Borrelia burgdorferi sensu stricto, while in Europe and Asia, the bacteria Borrelia afzelii and Borrelia garinii are also causes of the disease.[1] The disease does not appear to be transmissible between people, by other animals, or through food.[4] Diagnosis is based upon a combination of symptoms, history of tick exposure, and possibly testing for specific antibodies in the blood.[5][6] Blood tests are often negative in the early stages of the disease.[1] Testing of individual ticks is not typically useful.[7] Prevention includes efforts to prevent tick bites such as by wearing long pants and using DEET.[1] Using pesticides to reduce tick numbers may also be effective.[1] Ticks can be removed using tweezers.[8] If the removed tick was full of blood, a single dose of doxycycline may be used to prevent development of infection, but is not generally recommended since development of infection is rare.[1] If an infection develops, a number of antibiotics are effective, including doxycycline, amoxicillin, and cefuroxime.[1] Treatment is usually for two or three weeks.[1] Some people develop a fever and muscle and joint pains from treatment which may last for one or two days.[1] In those who develop persistent symptoms, long-term antibiotic therapy has not been found to be useful.[1][2] Lyme disease is the most common disease spread by ticks in the Northern Hemisphere.[9] It is estimated to affect 300,000 people a year in the United States and 65,000 people a year in Europe.[1][10] Infections are most common in the spring and early summer.[1] Lyme disease was diagnosed as a separate condition for the first time in 1975 in Old Lyme, Connecticut (it was originally mistaken for juvenile rheumatoid arthritis).[11] The bacterium involved was first described in 1981 by Willy Burgdorfer.[12] Chronic symptoms are well described and are known as post-treatment Lyme disease syndrome, although it is often called chronic Lyme disease.[13] Some healthcare providers claim that it is due to ongoing infection; however, this is not believed to be true.[14] A previous vaccine is no longer available. Research is ongoing to develop new vaccines.[1]

LYME--Long-term antibiotics : Explained

Thanks for being here! website: http://www.thriving-with-lyme.com/ facebook group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/242464736244053/ I hope this was encouraging to you! DISCLAIMER: The information in this video is what is taught to the LLMD's. Even though this is how it is explained I want to tell you that every person is different and every person reacts differently to antibiotics. The most important thing is to listen to your body. I would definitely recommend cleansing and cleaning up your diet BEFORE you start ANY antibiotics, if you choose to go that route. I chose to only do 6 months of antibiotics, as my mental conditions got worse on them (anxiety etc) even though I was doing a lot of probiotics. And my husband only did 4 months of antibiotics. He became much worse and I do not believe it was all a herx reaction. Listen to your body! There are other healing options available that have long lasting results and don't tear up your body like antibiotics do.

This Plant Kills Lyme Disease Better Than Antibiotics (Study Says)

While you may love Stevia in your coffee every morning, it could prove to be much more useful than just a natural sweetener. You might know about some of its other benefits—like being low in calories and being able to lower blood pressure, but did you know that it could also help fight a disease that affects hundreds of thousands of people every year? That’s right, if you get bit by a deer tick, Stevia could save your life. These hungry little parasites carry a nasty disease that has a multitude of symptoms. Lyme disease, a bacterial infection, brings on fever, chills, sweats, nausea, aches and pains, and a distinct looking rash. It not only affects people in the US, but also in over fifty other nations. One of the worst things about Lyme disease is that it’s hard to diagnose. It attacks multiple organs in the body and often mirrors other common illnesses. Like many other diseases that are difficult to diagnose, the treatment for Lyme disease normally begins with antibiotics. Sometimes they are effective, but other times they’re not. In these cases, the sickness goes unmasked and mines deeper into the internal organs, doing significantly more damage. That’s where Stevia comes in. A professor at the University of New Haven in Connecticut, along with her students, discovered that the natural extract of the green-leafy sugar substitute is actually the best treatment for Lyme disease, even better than the traditional use of antibiotics. Professor Eva Sapi published her findings in the European Journal of Microbiology and Immunology, but she has continued her studies with equal success. She has yet to perform any trials on humans, but at this point nothing leads her to believe that Stevia shouldn’t be used as the first line of defense to fight the fast-acting bacteria carried by both brown and black ticks. For the foreseeable future, antibiotics will still be widely prescribed, once someone is diagnosed with Lyme disease, but if Professor Sapi has her way, the same liquid you put in your coffee could one day help save your life. Flagyl Antibiotic for Lyme Disease & Coinfections

03:31
ILADS and many Lyme literate Doctors suggest that the antibiotic Flagyl penetrates the biofilm and breaks open cysts to kill off Borrelia burgdorferi bacteria. When it actually could be killing off coinfections instead. You look at the background of Flagyl, it's both antibacterial and antiparasitic. So many many of the coinfections that Dr. Horowitz describes, such as Babesiosis could be getting killed off all at one shot. That's what makes the drug so powerful, it treats multiple infections at once. When you get bit by a tick nowadays, multiple organisms get transferred over into your blood. A new one called FL 1953 was discovered by Fry Labs. But there's many more, such as Mycoplasma, Ehrlichia, Bartonella, and even viruses. All this taxes your immune system and makes it harder for your body to recover from Lyme. That's why so many Lyme literate doctors treat with multiple antibiotics. But what if certain parasites that antibiotics can't kill are keeping you chronically sick? I've read Lyme forums, where some patients have made tremendous progress after going on some natural antiparasitic herbs like Humaworm.com. It's also been said by Lyme literate doctors when you're immune systems are knocked down, this allows for macroscopic parasites to proliferate. Naturally your immune system would kill off these parasites, but when it's not working properly, it makes you vulnerable to many different predators. It's absolutely insane how complex this disease has become. If you have been fighting Lyme disease for quite some time now and haven't tried Flagyl, highly recommend it. Talk to your Lyme literate Doctor first before trying it. But be ready for the herxes and stomach pain. I tolerated Flagyl quite well, I never got any stomach pains, but a lot of Lyme patients do. I highly recommend taking alpha lipoic acid and milk thistle to aid your liver with detox. Keep fighting the fight! Never quit, I hope everyone gets better dealing with this horrible disease.

Treating chronic lyme on the cheap with IV. Sad that we have to do this to save our own lives, but some people have to. I wanted to share some info I've learned. Insurance problems, no insurance, high deductibles. You can skip all that nonsense and treat pretty aggressively for about 1000/month. Not including supplements. I'm may be mumbling through some of it but it's 5am and I haven't slept yet. www.infuserve.com

Lyme disease is a bacterial infection that affects people of all ages. The conventional treatment for Lyme disease is antibiotics, but they often only address the surface aspects of the infection, leaving the disease deep within the body where it’s able to cause more harm. In a new preclinical study, researchers found that this natural ingredient has powerful antibiotic activity against a pathogen known as Borrelia Burgdorferi, which is known to cause Lyme disease. How To Survive Lyme Disease: Ep 02 - The Lyme Cure: Antibiotic Treatment vs. Natural Remedies

04:19
Increasingly people are turning to natural remedies in seeking treatment for Lyme disease. A holistic approach toward healing is gaining ground in the face of established medical science, especially for those who have not obtained relief from a standard 30-day course of antibiotics. There is growing evidence that a holistic approach can help provide relief from the relentless ebb and flow of symptoms associated with the disease, and can be an important part of the overall treatment of inflammation resulting from antibiotic treatment. As many Lyme victims claim failure from antibiotic treatment, more often they seek alternative medicine to best support their decision to abandon antibiotic treatment in favor of learning to live with the disease. The cure for Lyme is often a complex one, requiring so-called "supplements" which include everything from vitamins and natural remedies, to pharmaceuticals necessary to control the depression, anxiety and pain that is so frequently associated with an infected patient. There are several main reasons why people give up on antibiotic treatment, which is undeniably excruciating, however, often the patient is not in the best position to understand what is best for their own treatment. By the times the disease has compromised the brain, central nervous system, and the heart and muscle tissues, there is a desperation for relief that is overpowering. The number one reason that patients give up antibiotic treatment is that they cannot endure the excruciating symptoms of inflammation that results from the die-off of the Borrelia spirochete. This is called a "Herx" reaction. And after several weeks of treatment, when the expectation of feeling better does not materialize, the natural reaction is that the treatment must not be working. This is far from the truth. It is counter-intuitive, but the presence of a high misery index during treatment actually means the antibiotic treatment is doing its job. This is how a good LLMD, or Lyme-literate doctor, will clinically measure progress of treatment. The second biggest reason for abandoning antibiotics is an insufficient duration of treatment. The standard 30-day limit is often woefully inadequate for those who have been misdiagnosed for a period of many months, or quite possibly years. For the chronically ill, treatment can more often take many months to several years before the patient sees real progress. This is where the importance of holistic medicine plays a large role, in boosting the immune system and abating the severity of symptoms during treatment. However, the use of holistic medicine alone in combating Lyme disease, in the absence of traditional homeopathic treatment is rarely sufficient for ridding the body of the spirochete. Beware the claims of a natural or holistic cure without antibiotics -- it is one thing to seek a miracle, another to ignore the science. Do the supplements, the vitamins, the herbal remedies, and any or all of the other purported fixes, but keep science gnawing on the root of the problem, which at least for now, is long-term antibiotic treatment -- for as long as it takes. Eva Sapi, PhD, Biofilms and antibiotic resistance of Borrelia burgdorferi, NorVect 2014

The lecture addresses various mechanisms associated with Borrelia infection that may help this bacteria to survive adverse environmental conditions, immune response and even therapeutic interventions. Borrelia species are known pleomorphic pathogens and they are able to adopt alternative, defensive morphologies to evade the immune response and even to increase their antibiotic resistance. One of these morphologies is the cyst or round body form which is known to be resistant to the front line antibiotic treatment. Another possible explanation for persistent clinical symptoms might be the formation of another highly antibiotic resistant form called biofilm. We have employed several modes of microscopy and staining techniques to characterize potential biofilm forms of different Borrelia species. Among optical microscopy techniques, dark field microscopy was used to observe the interaction of peripheral spirochetes with the biofilm, differential interphase microscopy (DIC) revealed the heterogeneity of the biofilm matrix, and fluorescence microscopy enabled observation of the sessile internal biofilm population. A relatively new technique, atomic force microscopy, was used to directly scan the topography of the biofilm. Our results demonstrated that Borrelia is capable of developing biofilms on different abiotic and biotic substrates. Analyzing the extracellular substance of the aggregates for potential exopolysaccharides revealed the existence of both sulfated and nonsulfated/ carboxylated substrates, predominately composed of an alginate with calcium and extracellular DNA present. In summary, we have found substantial evidence that Borrelia is capable of forming biofilm in vitro. In this lecture, we also provide evidence of Borrelia biofilm structures in infected tissues in vivo. In summary, our research findings strongly suggest that the Borrelia biofilm likely provides a refuge for chronic Lyme infection, and offers an additional avenue of attack for potential treatments for Lyme disease. In addition, in this lecture, we also summarize our research data on evaluating different antimicrobial agents that may help to reduce or even eliminate Borrelia biofilms, such as different combinations of known antibiotics
