How I lowered my dad's blood pressure, without drugs or diets ►►http://drsam.co/yt/SeeItYourself ======================================= Top 10 Causes Of High Blood Pressure ======================================= 1. AGE Most people don’t realize that AGE is one of the BIGGEST factors for high blood pressure. I discuss this in my very important article, but what’s important to note is that after the age of 40, 33% of the population has high blood pressure and after the age of 60, over 71% of the population has hypertension! So, if you’re over the age of 40 and have high blood pressure, it may not be your fault. But it IS your responsibility to fix it right away and here is how I lowered my dad’s blood pressure naturally, in just 30 days. 2. GENETICS & FAMILY HISTORY Well, not much can be done here. This is in fact my own problem because I have a family history (on my dad’s side) of hypertension, heart attacks and especially strokes. You can read more about it, include my personal favorite solution that my dad, my family and I use to promote healthy blood pressure levels, naturally! 3. SMOKING Come on people, smoking has NO health benefits. STOP smoking! 4. ALCOHOL A little bit of alcohol is okay, especially if it’s organic red wine. But drinking every night will cause damage to your heart, arteries and liver. Alcohol is a toxic and it’s acidic, both being bad for your body. 5. BEING OVERWEIGHT Similar to smoking, being overweight has no health benefits. And the older you get, the harder it is to lose that unwanted fat. 6. SODIUM Salt has its benefits actually. Regular table salt or salt found in processed foods and packages is BAD for you. However, “natural” salts such as Himalayan rock or Celtic sea salt is GOOD for you and can actually help LOWER blood pressure. I’ll discuss this in a future article. 7. STRESS Well know stress is bad. However, you can’t get rid of it. What’s important is the MEANING you give to stressful situations. If you freak out, get negative and focus on the problem the entire time … you put your body under extra stress. The secret is to focus on the SOLUTION and to know that “this too shall pass” and worrying about the problem isn’t going to help anything… Especially our blood pressure or heart. 8. LACK OF PHYSICAL ACTIVITY We sit too much these days. Just get outside and walk daily, even if it’s just for 15-20 minutes. It’ll do wonders for your physical AND mental health! 9. MEDICAL CONDITIONS This goes back to “genetics”. And if you know you have a genetic “problem”, which is making things worse, then you MUST make changes to your life-style because your body is more sensitive than the average person. This is a similar problem with my dad and why he had a stroke. 10. MEDICATION Ironically, many “heart” medications actually cause more heart PROBLEMS in the long run. They can increase your cholesterol, blood sugar or blood pressure levels. They can decrease blood flow and circulation. And they all cause extra stress on your liver and kidneys, which then cause more problems for your heart. Is It Possible To Be Anemic And Have High Blood Pressure? There is one organ which causes high blood pressure (and it's not what you think!) and there are specific exercises you can use to target and fix your blood pressure easily. No diet, lifestyle changes or medication required: http://hibloodpressure.stream/ Answers from: Ian Jenkins Carmel Maalouf Liang-Hai Sie Caroline Welte van Basten Amber Lund Sure. Absolutely. Ill give you one common example: renal failure. Your kidneys are crucial in blood pressure management, and high blood pressure is very common in kidney disease patients (it also causes kidney disease). Some of these patients have to take five blood pressure medicines to control their blood pressure and they may still have high values. At the same time, your kidneys make the hormone that prompts the bone marrow to make red cells: erythropoietin. If the kidneys, which get a ton of blood flow and do a ton of work, sense insufficient oxygen / blood flow, they make more, and maintain the hemoglobin concentration in a normal range. When the kidneys get sick or die, they dont make enough, and the patient is going to be anemic. We give supplemental epo to correct this, but only partly, due to reasons of both need, safety, and cost. Remember, anemia refers to the concentration of hemoglobin in the blood. Blood pressure, on the other hand, depends on the cardiac output (which in turn depends in part on volume) and the systemic vascular resistance, which is how tightly squeezed down the arteries are. You can get five liters of saline and have hypertension and anemia, or you could bleed rapidly to half your current volume and get a critically low blood pressure but still have a normal hemoglobin concentration. Blood pressure is generated by the heart that pumps blood into the arteries and is regulated by the arteries' response to blood flow. Blood pressure is one of the vital signs of the body. It refers to the force that blood applies to the walls of blood vessels during contraction and relaxation of the heart muscle. Blood pressure measures the pressure in the arteries, the vessels that carry blood away from the heart. The ability of arteries to respond to blood flow determines blood pressure. What is low blood pressure? Low blood pressure is a difficult clinical finding to address for a health professional. While high blood pressure is known as the "silent killer", since it is associated with few acute symptoms, hypotension (hypo = low + tension = pressure) may be normal for a patient if it does not have symptoms but may be great importance if it is associated with abnormal body function. Sometimes, the low is good, a goal that must be achieved to keep blood pressure under control. Sometimes, the low is bad because there is not enough pressure to provide blood flow to the organs of the body. Blood pressure ratio The blood pressure readings have two parts and are expressed as a ratio: "Normal" blood pressure for example, it is 120/80 (120 over 80) and measures the pressure inside the arteries of the body. Systolic pressure, the upper number, measures the pressure inside the arteries when the heart contracts (systole) to pump blood to the body. Diastolic pressure the lowest number measures the resting pressures inside the arteries when the heart is at rest. Medical conditions that can cause low blood pressure include: The pregnancy. Because the circulatory system expands rapidly during pregnancy, blood pressure is likely to decrease. This is normal, and blood pressure usually returns to its pre-pregnancy level after giving birth. Heart problems. Some heart conditions that can cause low blood pressure include an extremely low heart rate (bradycardia), heart valve problems, myocardial infarction, and heart failure. Dehydration. When your body loses more water than it absorbs, it can cause weakness, dizziness, and fatigue. Fever, vomiting, severe diarrhea, excessive use of diuretics and strenuous exercise can lead to dehydration. Loss of blood. Losing a lot of blood, such as from a major injury or internal bleeding, reduces the amount of blood in your body, which causes a serious decrease in blood pressure. Severe infection (septicemia). When an infection in the body enters the bloodstream, it can lead to a life-threatening drop in blood pressure called septic shock. Severe allergic reaction (anaphylaxis). Common triggers of this serious and life-threatening reaction include food, certain medications, insect poisons and latex. Anaphylaxis can cause respiratory problems, hives, itching, swelling of the throat and a dangerous drop in blood pressure. The lack of nutrients in your diet. The lack of vitamins B-12 and folic acid can prevent your body from producing enough red blood cells (anemia), causing low blood pressure.

The most common cause of anemia is not having enough iron. Your body needs iron to make hemoglobin. Hemoglobin is an iron-rich protein that gives the red color to blood. It carries oxygen from the lungs to the rest of the body. Anemia has three main causes: blood loss, lack of red blood cell production, and high rates of red blood cell destruction. Conditions that may lead to anemia include • Heavy periods • Pregnancy • Ulcers • Colon polyps or colon cancer • Inherited disorders • A diet that does not have enough iron, folic acid or vitamin B12 • Blood disorders such as sickle cell anemia and thalassemia, or cancer • Aplastic anemia, a condition that can be inherited or acquired • G6PD deficiency, a metabolic disorder Anemia can make you feel tired, cold, dizzy, and irritable. The term iron deficiency anemia means having a condition which is characterized by a decrease in the red blood cells because the level of iron in the body is too low. If we have a deficiency of iron our body is not able to produce hemoglobin, which is required for the red cell in order to carry the oxygen to all our tissues. Any one of us can experience this condition, however there is a specific group of people who are at bigger risk that the others. Those are for example the vegetarians and vegans, or people who are not consuming meat. They are more prone for experiencing iron deficiency anemia because the meat represents the biggest source of iron. Furthermore, the women are usually at risk, because they are losing some blood during their menstruation and also because they need to share their stores with the fetus if they are pregnant. Iron-deficiency anemia treatment, nursing interventions, pathophysiology, and symptoms NCLEX review lecture. Iron deficiency anemia is a type of anemia caused by low iron levels in the body. Anemia is a condition where there is a low amount of red blood cells or hemoglobin in the body. Red blood cells and hemoglobin are responsible for the transport of oxygen throughout the body to the tissues and organs. Iron is responsible for making hemoglobin. When iron levels are low in the body red blood cells and hemoglobin do not work properly which leads the patient to feel symptoms of lethargy, pallor, tachycardia, weird food cravings (ice, clay, dirt), inflammation of the tongue (glossitis), nail changes such as koilonychia (spoon-shape of the nails) etc. Treatment for iron-deficiency anemia includes iron supplementation, increasing iron in the diet with foods rich in iron (such as egg yolks, red meats, poultry, shellfish, fish, legumes, seeds etc), and prevention. The causes of iron-deficiency anemia include poor intake of iron (as with pregnancy, vegetarian diet, or malnourishment), blood loss (GI bleed, menstruation), or absorption issues (as with Celiac disease, GI surgery etc). It is diagnosed with complete blood count (CBC), iron level, or blood smear to assess the RBC which may appear hypochromic (pale) and microcytic (small). https://www.drlam.com/blog/signs-symptoms-low-blood-pressure-causes-correlation-adrenal-fatigue/19097/ This is Dr. Lam, founder of DrLam.com and today we are going to talk about low blood pressure consistently. Now, blood pressure is an automatically regulated mechanism in our body. It is designed to provide oxygen through blood, through our brain, as well as various parts of our body. The regulation of blood pressure falls within many factors. Blood volume can effect the blood pressure, the endothelial wall of the blood vessel itself constricting and dialating through what we call baroreceptors or blood pressure sensitive receptors can help modulate the blood pressure, and of course electrolytes and the sodium balance can also play an important factor. The organs responsible including the kidneys, the adrenals, as well as the brain, can also make a big factor in regulating the blood pressure on a 24/7 basis without us knowing. Of course we can not discount the role that the heart plays as well. So maintaining normal blood pressure is a very important part of survival. Just going from a sitting to a standing position requires that it activates all the systems in various degrees so that we can stand up, not feel dizzy, and are able to walk and not feel dizzy and then have normal activity. Any time the blood pressure is not regular the brain is not getting enough profusion or blood flow, and then the body will suffer. In the case of adrenal fatigue, what happens is, because the adrenal glands regulate the sodium and potassium balance, there is a tendancy, as the adrenals get weaker, that the body is not able to regulate this as much as it should. As a result, the sodium is usually lost through the deficieny or the subclinical effectiveness of aldosterone: the hormone that is regulating the blood flow and the water flow. Now this hormone is critical because in adrenal fatigue this hormone aldosterone tends to be low. As a result the sodium is not going to be easily maintained in the body. At this time the labratory values may be the same, or when I say the same I mean normal. People come in a lot of them with low blood pressure because they are losing sodium, and without sodium your water does not flow. So in other words the water stays with the sodium, wherever the sodium goes the water goes. So as long as the sodium is high the water will be retained in the body. When the sodium is low then the body will tend to lose water, and if you lose water, then your blood pressure will go down; it will stay down consistently. That is why many people with low blood pressure tend to do better when they eat more salt they can be perked up and feel much better. But of course, you have to be careful because too much salt can lead to another set of problems including hypertension, as well as swelling in the legs, what we call edema. So first we have to understand that low blood pressure is a symptom and not a disease. Number two you have to look at the big picture of how everything else comes together. In an adrenal fatigue situation, oftentimes low blood pressure does not stand alone; it comes along with other clinical signs and symptoms that you have to put the pieces together. It is one of many symptoms that presents itself. Usually the more advanced the adrenal fatigue the more prominent this is. A very interesting thing that you also have to understand is that in the early stages of adrenal fatigue, blood pressure tends to rise because of the vessel constriction of blood vessels narrowing as a result of hormones; and then in later stages it tends to go down. So if you look at the blood pressure, it can be high and still have adrenal fatigue in early stages, if it stays low consistently then it could mean the body is in a state of advanced adrenal fatigue if all other medical workup is normal. So, low blood pressure constistently is an important symptom to look for in adrenal fatigue and it points us to the underlying dysfunction that is maybe happening in the adrenal glands. How to Treat Iron Deficiency Anemia what can cause low iron levels in blood Disclaimer:This Video only For Educational Purpose Iron deficiency anemia, or what used to sometimes be called iron-poor blood, occurs when there are not enough healthy red blood cells to carry oxygen to all the cells and tissues of your body. Iron is needed by the body to make hemoglobin, which is the large, complex protein that transports oxygen into cells and transports carbon dioxide to the lungs. Anemia can be chronic or acute, and it can range from mild to severe. If you have iron deficiency anemia, you can learn how to treat it. 1 Choose a ferrous iron supplement. Iron can exist in two ionic forms: ferrous and ferric. Ferrous supplements are better absorbed than ferric. These include ferrous sulfate, ferrous gluconate, ferrous fumarate, and ferrous citrate. Ferronyl is another form of iron that is better absorbed and commonly used in treatment of iron deficiency anemia. It can be found in supplements as well. Look at the elemental iron content in supplements if listed. You want about 30% elemental iron. The greater the percentage or milligrams listed, the more iron is likely to be absorbed. The dosage is usually 15 to 65 mg of elemental iron per day. This is usually best in divided doses. Make sure your supplement is tested by an independent lab and has a “Seal of Approval” from either Consumer Labs, the Natural Products Association (NPA), LabDoor, or the United States Pharmacopeia (USP). Ferrous is the standard treatment over ferric because it is absorbed better and it has less negative side effects 2 Take iron on an empty stomach. Most of the adverse effects of an iron supplement can be avoided by taking the iron on an empty stomach, aside from orange juice. Vitamin C helps the body absorb iron. You can drink orange juice along with the iron supplement or take a vitamin C supplement. Do not take iron with milk, calcium supplements, or antacids. This will reduce the absorption of the iron. Do not take the iron with high fiber foods, coffee, or tea. 3 Be aware of the risks and side effects of iron supplements. You should know that just because something is natural or required by the body does not mean you can’t overdo it. Iron is a good example. Iron supplements can be dangerous if you take too much. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions and keep them away from children. A condition called acquired hemochromatosis can occur because of taking too much iron as a supplement. It can cause joint and abdominal pain, weakness, lowered sex drive, and fatigue SUBSCRIBE TO MORE VIDEOS WATCH MORE USEFUL VIDEOS : 1.How to Use Meditation to Treat PTSD|ptsd and schizophrenia https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3uK9bfEo6Wk ………………………………………………………………………………………………………… 2.How to Use a Mala|beads with meaning https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fmH799CS1yE ……………………………………………………………………………………………………….. 3.how does meditation help depression |guided meditation depression https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EKhvdXnTawU ………………………………………………………………………………………………………….. 4.how to stop thinking about someone|things to do when depressed https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hc8UpgrBK3g ……………………………………………………………………………………………….. 5.time dilation theory |how to make time pass faster at work https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7YeEetijsf8 ………………………………************…………………………………………… 6.How to Practice Mindfulness of Death Meditation|buddhist death rituals 49 days https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dBeZN1utJcY …………………………………………………………………………………………………. 7.How to Practice Compassion Meditation|simple meditation techniques https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b-Mu7bt3T8A ………………………………………………………………………………………………. 8.How to Sleep in Zen Relaxation|zen sleep music https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mzgLrgUAQ-U ………………………………………………………………………………………………… 9.How to Increase Your Capacity to Channel Reiki Energy|reiki share https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9KnNS8sPQ5c …………………………………………………………………………………… 10.focused attention meditation |meditation process for beginners https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pPryrzBRy0o FOLLOW ME SOCIAL PROFILES: YouTube: https://goo.gl/yEbKyd Google+: https://goo.gl/T1fvmo FaceBook: https://goo.gl/nXwenV Twitter: https://goo.gl/yMmnDl Pintrest: https://goo.gl/KHEQjl Linkedin: https://goo.gl/262zkC

You are anemic when there is not enough iron in your body to make the necessary amount of hemoglobin. Hemoglobin is the key component of red blood cells and acts like a transportation system for oxygen in the body. If your body does not have enough iron to create hemoglobin, the red blood cell count will drop and make it more difficult for your tissues to get the oxygen needed. This will result to shortness of breath and fatigue. Have a Fun ;-) If you like it then don't forget to "Thumbs Up" Check out my channel for the latest reviews and news on all the latest technology! 10 Signs and Symptoms of Iron Deficiency / anemia symptoms. Iron is an important dietary mineral that is involved in various bodily functions. It is commonly known for aiding the production of hemoglobin, a protein that helps red blood cells deliver oxygen throughout your body. It also acts as a transport medium for electrons to travel within the cells and is needed for many enzymes to function normally. Here are the top 10 signs and symptoms of iron deficiency. review : 01:02 Fatigue and Tiredness 02:06 Shortness of Breath 03:12 Pale Skin 04:06 Brittle Nails 05:11 Hair Loss 06:05 Craving Nonfood Substances 1. Fatigue and Tiredness Fatigue and tiredness are common in people who have a low iron level. Iron is important for maintaining optimum levels of hemoglobin, which is the oxygen-carrying chemical in the bloodstream. Lack of oxygen in the body causes constant fatigue and tiredness. A 2000 study published in Quality of Life Research suggests that iron deficiency is associated with decreased general health and well-being and increased fatigue. If you are frequently tired and feeling fatigued, get your blood checked to find out whether you have an iron deficiency. Proper diagnosis and timely treatment will help reduce the symptoms quickly. 2. Shortness of Breath Due to a low iron level, less oxygen reaches different parts of your body. When the body’s oxygen level is low, it will cause shortness of breath, no matter how deeply you breathe. This shortness of breath occurs even while doing things that you’d normally handle just fine, such as climbing the stairs, taking a short walk or even carrying small objects. The breathlessness can be mild, moderate or severe, and breathing often returns to normal after a rest period. If you need to puff for air more often, get your iron level checked to rule out the possibility of this nutrient deficiency. 3. Pale Skin Another common sign associated with iron deficiency is pale skin or a washed-out appearance. Due to a low iron level, your body is unable to manufacture sufficient hemoglobin. It’s the hemoglobin that gives your blood its red color and your skin its rosy hue. As the iron deficiency worsens, your skin begins to lose its normal color and becomes pale. This sign is more prominent in people who have a lighter skin tone. If your skin starts looking paler than usual and you are not sick, consult a doctor to determine the cause. 4. Brittle Nails If your nails look pale, fragile and brittle, it can be a possible sign of iron deficiency. Along with brittle nails, a concave or spoon-shaped depression in the nails can indicate an insufficient iron level in the body. A low iron level hampers your body’s ability to produce enough hemoglobin, which helps carry oxygen throughout your system, including to your nails. This lack of oxygen prohibits the healthy growth of your nails. Apart from nutritional deficiencies, aging, long-term use of nail polish and frequent exposure to water can lead to brittle nails. 5. Hair Loss There are many possible causes for hair loss and iron deficiency is one of them. A low iron level sends your body into survival mode, during which it channels oxygen to support vital functions as opposed to less important functions like hair growth. In fact, women with iron deficiency are at a risk of telogen hair loss, according to a 2009 study published in Acta Dermatovenerologica Croatica. To find out whether an iron deficiency is the cause of your hair loss, it is important to measure the amount of ferritin in the blood. 6. Craving Nonfood Substances Pica is a condition in which a person has an unusual craving for non nutritive substances that can cause significant health risks. This condition can be sign of a low level of iron or other nutrients in the body. In a 2010 study published in the Journal of Medical Case Reports, experts considered pica an important sign of iron deficiency that should never be ignored. A recent 2014 study published in the Journal of Nutrition found that pregnant teens with significantly lower iron levels had cravings for ice, cornstarch, vacuum dust, baby powder, soap and other nonfood items. If you are craving nonfood items, bring it to the attention of your doctor to find out the exact reason behind it. Music: Royalty Free Music from Bensound

There is no connection between high blood pressure and hair loss. The causes for hair loss are mainly three, one is hereditary reasons or due to an internal cause which is due to low iron deficiency or a thyroid problem or certain other hormonal disturbances which can usually be seen in women.
Key Signs and Symptoms of Low Blood Pressure People frequently talk about high blood pressure, as it can lead to heart attacks, strokes and kidney failure. But low blood pressure, also known as hypotension, can also cause damage to your body. While a blood pressure reading of 140/90 mm Hg or above is considered high, a reading of less than 90/60 mm Hg is considered low. Everyone’s blood pressure drops at one time or another and doesn’t cause any noticeable symptoms. For instance, the transition from sitting or lying down to standing can cause a drop in blood pressure. Some people may experience low blood pressure right after eating or from prolonged standing. However, certain conditions can cause prolonged periods of hypotension that can be bad for your health. Such conditions include pregnancy, significant blood loss due to an injury, poor circulation caused by a heart condition, weakness that accompanies dehydration, dieting to lose weight, anaphylactic shock, infections of the bloodstream and endocrine disorders, such as diabetes, adrenal insufficiency and thyroid disease. Certain medications like beta-blockers, diuretics, tricyclic antidepressants and erectile dysfunction drugs can also cause hypotension. A deficiency of the essential vitamins B12 and folic acid can cause anemia, which in turn can lead to low blood pressure. Having persistent low blood pressure is not good. If the blood pressure gets severely low, your body will not receive enough oxygen to carry out its normal functions. A decreased oxygen level can lead to impaired functioning of the heart and brain as well as cause difficulty breathing. In certain cases, people with low blood pressure can lose consciousness or go into shock (when the organs shut down). This makes it more important to be aware of the signs and symptoms of low blood pressure, so that timely treatment can be provided. Here are the key signs and symptoms of low blood pressure.

MUST WATCH VIDEO - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N96rUJCTils RELEASING 25-12-16 "COVER VERSION-AAJ JAANE KI ZIDD NA KARO - PROMO - ft - JYOTIKA SHARMA" -~-~~-~~~-~~-~- -~-~~-~~~-~~-~- HOME REMEDY FOR ANEMIA, DIABETES & CHOLESTEROLS II मधुमेह, रक्तचाप और अनीमिया का घरेलू उपचार II Anemia is usually defined as a decrease in number of red blood cells (RBCs) or the amount of hemoglobin in the blood. It can also be defined as a lowered ability of the blood to carry oxygen. When anemia comes on slowly the symptoms are often vague and may include: feeling tired, weakness, shortness of breath or a poor ability to exercise. Anemia that comes on quickly often has greater symptoms which may include: confusion, feeling like one is going to pass out, and an increased desire to drink fluids. There needs to be significant anemia before a person becomes noticeably pale. There may be additional symptoms depending on the underlying cause. Cholesterol is both our friend and foe - at normal levels, it is an essential substance for the body's normal functioning, but if levels in the blood get too high, it becomes a silent danger that puts us at risk of a heart attack. Diabetes, often referred to by doctors as diabetes mellitus, describes a group of metabolic diseases in which the person has high blood glucose (blood sugar), either because insulin production is inadequate, or because the body's cells do not respond properly to insulin, or both. Patients with high blood sugar will typically experience polyuria (frequent urination), they will become increasingly thirsty (polydipsia) and hungry (polyphagia). Sickle cell anemia is a genetic blood disorder that occurs when a patient has abnormal hemoglobin on their red blood cell called Hemoglobin S (normal hemoglobin type is A). Hemoglobin S is very sensitive to low oxygen level. When a red blood cell with hemoglobin S experiences a decrease is oxygen it causes the red blood cell to change it's shape from a round, smooth shape to a stiff, sickle-shaped, and sticky shape. This change of shape in the red blood cell leads it to occlude circulation within the vessel, which can lead to various types of sickle cell crises (vaso-occlusive, spleen sequestration, hyperhemolyic, and aplastic crisis). Sickle cell anemia is an autosomal recessive disorder that is homozygous. This means that both parents will each give their offspring one abnormal hemoglobin gene (Hemoglobin S) to make their child have hemoglobin SS. The parents are typically carriers of the disease without symptoms. The parents are heterozygous in that they each have sickle cell trait (in other words they each have hemoglobin AS), but not the actual disease. African-Americans are most commonly affected with this disease. According to CDC.gov, 1 in 12 African-Americans carry the sickle cell trait. In addition, Middle Easter, Asian, Caribbean, and East Mediterranean patients are at risk as well. Many patients with sickle cell anemia will have symptoms of anemia, but will not manifest major signs and symptoms until a sickling episode occurs. Factors that can cause a sickle cell crisis include: significant blood loss, illness, climbing or flying to high altitudes, stress, dehydration, fever, strenuous exercise, or extreme cold temperatures. Sickle cell crises vary among patients with some patients experiencing random episodes with others experience them frequently. Sickle cell anemia is typically discovered in the young pediatric patient (age 6 months and onward). These patients will present with swelling of the hands and feet (hand-foot syndrome or Dactylitis), fever, and be extremely fussy. Patients who have sickle cell anemia are at risk for the following complications: acute chest syndrome, stroke, splenomegaly, infection, leg ulcers (mainly older children), anemia, vision changes, gallstones etc. Nursing interventions for sickle cell anemia include: educating the patient or parents about the factors that lead to sickle cell crisis, maintain hydration, administering oxygen, pain control, bedrest, prevent infection and assessing vaccination history of patient, elevating swollen extremities, removing occlusive clothing or objects etc. A medication used to treat sickle cell anemia is Hydroxyurea, which helps make fetal hemoglobin. This will decrease sickling episodes and the need for blood transfusions. However, a low white blood cell count is a side effect of this medication. Take Dr. Berg's Body Type Quiz: http://bit.ly/BodyTypeQuiz Dr. Berg talks about his theory on dementia, blood pressure control and stroke. There are a lot of unknowns about dementia. But there is an interesting associated factor, i.e. the build up of calcium in the arteries of the brain. Also, if the arteries get packed with calcium packing, the arteries get hard and it might be one of the causes for high blood pressure. Stroke is a situation of blocking of vascular blood flow to the brain. Dosages to try: Healthy normal person: Vitamin D3 (10,000 IUs) + Vitamin K2 (MK-7) (100mcg) per day Unhealthy person: Vitamin D3 (30,000 IUs) + Vitamin K2 (MK-7) (300mcg) per day Vitamin D and K2 work together and help to mobilize calcium. You may want to consume both vitamins, in the morning with butter or coconut oil for better absorption (due to being fat soluble). Vitamin D3 is about absorption of calcium and vitamin K2 is about directing where calcium goes - both working together to keep your arteries and soft tissues clean and your bones strong. Unless you have osteoporosis, I would not recommend taking extra calcium. Instead consume some cheese on a daily basis. Most of the calcium in the body is recycled so adding more, is not needed. Never consume calcium carbonate (limestone) as your calcium. If you take calcium and vitamin D without K2, you may be in danger of excess calcium build up - calcification of your vessels. Yet K2 is a powerful inhibitor of calcification of soft tissues. Kulang sa Dugo (Anemic) at Nanghihina Video ni Doc Liza Ramoso-Ong #116 (Share and Tag a friend) 1. 4.
