The Doctors Talk About "The Acid Reflux Solution" with Dr. Jorge
April 25th, 2012. I was on The Doctors to talk about my history with acid reflux, as a former suffer myself. Heart burn was a way of life and it never occurred to me until a couple years ago that I needed to needed to walk the walk. If I was going to help patients with their heart burn, I needed to be get my act straight. I exercised, started to eat better, cut just a few hundred calories out of my diet, and ended up losing 30 some pounds without trying just trying to correct my years of acid reflux. It was this change that lead to writing my first book, "The Acid Reflux Solution". The premise was to cure heart burn without the use of pharmaceuticals. Prescription pills for GERD are meant for use no longer than 50 days and over the counter drugs no longer than 2-3 weeks. They quell the problem, but don't solve it. With the tips in The Doctors video, you can take the first steps towards curing your heartburn, naturally. For more helpful tips, please visit my site at http://www.drjorge.com

Emergency Acid Reflux Symptoms
Emergency Acid Reflux Symptoms. What Is Acid Reflux?. Do you ever feel a fiery, tingling sensation at the back of your mouth after eating a heavy meal or spicy foods? What you’re feeling is stomach acid or bile flowing back up into your esophagus. This is often accompanied by heartburn, which is characterized by a burning or tightening sensation in the chest behind the breastbone. According to the American College of Gastroenterology, more than 60 million Americans experience acid reflux at least once per month, and more than 15 million Americans may experience it every day. Though it can occur in anyone, including infants and children, acid reflux is most common in pregnant women, people who are obese, and older adults. While it’s normal to experience acid reflux occasionally, those who experience it more than twice per week may have a more serious problem known as gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). GERD is a chronic form of acid reflux that can irritate the lining of your esophagus, causing it to become inflamed. This inflammation may lead to esophagitis, which is a condition that may make it difficult or painful to swallow. Constant esophageal irritation may also result in bleeding, narrowing of the esophagus, or a precancerous condition called Barrett’s esophagus. Acid Reflux Symptoms. The symptoms of acid reflux in teenagers and adults can include: *a burning sensation in the chest that gets worse when bending over or lying down and usually occurs after a meal. *frequent burping. *nausea. *abdominal discomfort. *a bitter taste in the mouth. *a dry cough. The symptoms of acid reflux in infants and young children can include: *wet burps. *hiccups. *frequent spitting up or vomiting, especially after meals. *wheezing or choking due to acid backup into windpipe and lungs. *spitting up after age 1, which is the age at which spitting up should stop. *irritability or crying after meals. *refusing to eat or only eating small amounts of food. *difficulty gaining weight. What Causes Acid Reflux?. Acid reflux is the result of a problem that occurs during the digestive process. When you swallow, the lower esophageal sphincter (LES) normally relaxes to let food and liquid travel from your esophagus to your stomach. The LES is a circular band of muscles located between your esophagus and stomach. After food and liquid enter the stomach, the LES tightens and closes the opening. If these muscles relax irregularly or weaken over time, stomach acid can back up into your esophagus. This causes acid reflux and heartburn. It’s considered erosive if an upper endoscopy shows breaks in the esophageal lining. It’s considered nonerosive if the lining looks normal. What Are the Risk Factors for Acid Reflux?. Though it can occur in anyone, including infants and children, acid reflux is most common in pregnant women, people who are obese, and older adults. When Is an Upper Endoscopy Needed?. You may need an upper endoscopy so that your doctor can make sure there are no serious underlying reasons for your symptoms. You may need this procedure if you have: *difficulty or pain with swallowing. *GI bleeding. *anemia, or a low blood count. *weight loss. *repeated vomiting. If you’re a man who’s older than 50 years old and you have nighttime reflux, are overweight, or you smoke, you may also need an upper endoscopy to determine the cause of your symptoms. Acid Reflux Treatment: The type of treatment for acid reflux that your doctor will suggest depends on your symptoms and your health history. Common medical treatments include: *histamine-2 receptor blockers to reduce stomach acid production, such as famotidine (Pepcid) and ranitidine (Zantac). *proton pump inhibitors to reduce stomach acid production, such as esomeprazole (Nexium) and omeprazole (Prilosec). *medications to strengthen the LES, such as baclofen (Kemstro). *surgeries to reinforce and strengthen the LES. *antacids to neutralize stomach acid. Making some simple lifestyle changes can also help treat acid reflux. These include: *raising the head of the bed or using a wedge pillow. *avoiding lying down for two hours after meals. *avoiding eating for two hours before bed. *avoiding wearing tight clothing. *limiting your consumption of alcohol. *quitting smoking. *losing weight if you’re overweight. You should also avoid avoid foods and beverages that trigger acid reflux, including: *citrus fruits. All Photos Licensed Under CC Source : www.pexels.com www.pixabay.com www.commons.wikimedia.org

Side Effects Of Fluconazole
Thank you for tuning into my video today. Today I’m going to talk about Fluconazole. Fluconazole is a pharmaceutical antifungal drug. It’s also known by the name of Diflucan. Fluconazole is also present in a vaginal cream called Canesten that many women tend to use. I’ve seen many patients over the years who’ve taken Diflucan. Some with reasonably good success, but in most case, the drug has been taken recurrently with very, very poor long-term results. The best result you’re going to get from any pharmaceutical drug usually is the very first time you take it. The body’s not used to the drug. It will have a powerful effect and give the desired result. But then what happens is the drug is discontinued, so then the symptoms come back, and the drug is used again and again and again. And eventually, the body builds resistance to Diflucan. The resistance is well documented. I’ve seen some patients who take this drug weekly or monthly for years on end with bad results. And in many cases, they end up with significant side effects, particularly hepatic or liver side effects because Diflucan affects Phase II or the glucoronidation pathway of the liver and it can make a person quite nauseous or sick. They can get skin reactions. They can get headaches. They can get insomnia. They can get a whole range of different side effects from Diflucan. I’ve got a pharmaceutical drug guide here and I’m going to read out some of the common side effects of Diflucan or fluconazole. Side effects include gastrointestinal upset, headaches, elevated liver function test, abnormal vision, skin odor, skin rashes, hot flashes, weakness, thirst, shaking in the body, polyuria, which means urinating a lot, renal pain or pain in the lower pain, kidney pain, dizziness, seizures, skin itching, sweating, fevers, drug eruptions, more skin rashes, sleeping disturbances and insomnia, nervousness, pain, female sexual dysfunction, menstrual disorders, respiratory disorders, deafness, heartburn, high blood pressure, liver damage. Why the hell would you want to take a drug that creates all these problems just to give you some temporary relief from a vaginal yeast infection or some kind of a yeast infection you might have? There are natural ways you can get on top of these infections without resorting to drugs. Have a look at yeastinfection.org for some natural solutions. If you’re thinking about an antifungal drug and you want to get some results but don’t want the side effects with it, have a look at the product I developed called Canxida. It’s going to be more powerful than fluconazole. You don’t need to take it for years on end. You’re not going to get all of these side effects that I’ve just read out here. It’s certainly worth a shot. Think about it. If you’re going to take fluconazole, take it once, but don’t take it recurrently. There’s no point in it. You’re wasting your time doing that. You’re only going to get drug resistance and also liver toxicity from taking it. I hope that answers a frequently asked question I get on this particular drug fluconazole. Thank you for tuning in.

Sudeck (CRPS) for 13 years treated with natural palmitoylethanolamide (PeaPure, Normast)
his case description concerns a 72-year old woman who has had CRPS type 1 or Sudeck's Dystrophy since 13 years. This syndrome developed after she fell off a short flight of stairs and bruised her ankle. Initially, pain and swelling developed only on her left foot. After some time however, the symptoms spread also to her right foot. Both feet were swollen, the skin felt hot and was shiny, the toenails dystrophic. All these confirm a typical case of CRPS type 1. We treated with PeaPure, a supplement containing palmitoylethanolamide, and within 4 weeks both feet wiich first were swollen red and very painful normalized. To date, results of more than 20 positive clinical trials with PEA have been published, with a total of nearly 4000 patients treated; around 200 in chronic pain states and around 2000 in inflammatory conditions such as endometriosis, flu and common cold. No side effects of note have been reported, nor have there been any deleterious drug--drug interactions. Further info: Development of CRPS in the feet: She experienced severe, burning pain that made sleeping difficult. The bed sheets caused contact pain and this woman had to cool her feet during the night. As part of the treatment her pain was assessed on a scale of 1 to 10, where 10 is the most severe pain imaginable. Her pain had very severe peaks, but averaged 6-8 when she came in for treatment. Her quality of life had also suffered significantly; she rated this herself as a 4, again on a 10-point scale (where 1 is terrible and 10 excellent). Additional CRPS in the left knee: In mid-2012, the patient fell off her bicycle. Due to the severe contact pain in her feet, she hardly walked anymore, but still rode her bicycle. While going out on her bicycle one day, she unfortunately hit an obstacle and fell off the bike. She fell on her left knee. The CRPS surged due to the fall and spread to the left knee. When she came to our clinic in November 2012, the knee was swollen significantly and the skin blueish-red, as were both feet. It was the presentation of a generalizing case of CRPS. This is a very unpleasant syndrome, where the CRPS spreads to different parts of the body. None of the doctors she had seen knew how to treat this effectively, which is why she came to our clinic. Many treatments tried against the CRPS: From the beginning 13 years ago, many treatments and painkillers were tried to treat her CRPS. Treatments to open the blood vessels wider (vasodilatating drugs) had counter-productive effects, increasing the pain and swelling. DSMO cream applied locally on the feet also did not help. Only the drug amitriptyline had positive effects, but limited. Pain remained present at a score of 6-8 and quality of life at 4 (i.e. poor) when we first saw her. By that time she had also visited a well-known specialist in CRPS in an academic hospital int eh Netherlands, who could not do more for her than determine her invalidity score. She came in to our clinical in a wheelchair, with severe pains and swollen feet and left knee. She felt very bad and was in a downtrodden mood. Palmitoylethanolamide (PEA) under the tongue (sublingual): As all usual methods had been tried, we started her straight away on our specific treatment protocol for CRPS. The initial step here consists of the natural compound PEA (a painkiller and inflammation inhibitor) combined with a topical cream of 10% ketamine. PEA was prescribed as the preparation PeaPure, to be taken 3 times per day. The dose form is a capsule of 400mg, that can easily be split and the contents put under the tongue, where the content (a powder) melts. It is expected that in this way a quicker effect is obtained. PEA can also be administered as Normast sublingual sachets. After ten days she returned to our clinic. She came in walking, albeit with a cane, and the swelling of her feet was significantly less. She then came to visit one month after start of the treatment. We then had the conversation together that you can see on video.

Medications Most common dopamine antagonists (positive symptoms) Risperdone, Haldol, Zyprexa Metoclopramide (Reglan) is an antiemetic and antipsychotic Dopamine Hypothesis Patients with schizophrenia do not typically show measurably increased levels of brain dopamine activity Other dissociative drugs, notably ketamine and phencyclidine that act on glutamate NMDA receptors (and not on dopamine receptors) can produce psychotic symptoms. Those drugs that do reduce dopamine activity are a very imperfect treatment for schizophrenia: they only reduce a subset of symptoms, while producing severe short-term and long-term side effects GABA Mechanism of action/purpose Anti-anxiety, Anti-convulsant GABA is made from glutamate GABA functions as an inhibitory neurotransmitter – Glutamate acts as an excitatory neurotransmitter GABA does the opposite and tells the adjoining cells not to “fire” Where they are found Close to 40% of the synapses in the human brain work with GABA and therefore have GABA receptors. Medications Drugs that act as allosteric modulators of GABA receptors (known as GABA analogues or GABAergic drugs) or increase the available amount of GABA typically have relaxing, anti-anxiety, and anti-convulsive effect Gabapentin (neurontin) is a GABA analogue used to treat epilepsy and neurotic pain. Benzodiazepines and Barbiturates including GHB, Valium, Xanax Serotonin Mechanism of action/purpose Helps regulate Mood Sleep patterns Appetite Pain Serotonin Serotonin Serotonin Insufficiency Depression Anxiety Pain sensitivity Acetylcholine Their mechanism of action/purpose In lower amounts, ACh can act like a stimulant by releasing norepinephrine (NE) and dopamine (DA). How put an end to Chronic throat clearing? - Dr. Satish Babu K
The thing to understand is that mucus, film or sputum whatever you call it is not harmful to the body, so it is contrary to the popular belief but yes it is not harmful so it need not be removed regularly rather the mucus there is needed constantly and it is as important or more important as a lubricant oil in an engine. So we should not attempt to remove it whether it is more or less, thick or thin, its coloured or not coloured, it is sticky or not sticky, it is from the throat or nose any place the mucus remains as such. Whatever excess mucus is there, there is a mechanism in the body which will take care of the excess mucus. So we don't have to do any attempt to remove that. Throat irritation, pain, congestion, foreign body sensation all the symptoms do not occur because of mucus or the presence of it. Some other process could be, so if there is a constant excessive mucus then you should probably have a consultation and get it checked and find out the reason for having excess mucus. In any effort to remove mucus mill will result in drying of the throat and causing more such problems as throat irritation and pain. A dry skin in the throat gets readily violated when you try to clear it either by cleaning with the tongue cleaner or hacking or cough involuntarily, any of these things will crack up the skin and sometimes it start bleeding and then causing more pain and more trouble, understand that mucus is important for the body then there is no need to clear the throat. The next step is to come out of more harmful habits, diversional tricks like in trying to keep some toffees or spices like cardamom or clove in the mouth, drinking sips of liquids more frequently as in when the throat starts irritating you need to clear the throat just a bit of water that itself will reduce the sensation and you don't have to do that again, improving the hydration of the body, the water content of the body is is also very helpful in such situation. Absolutely, it even has to be. At least when the French alternative-pop-folk superstars Nili Hadida and Benjamin Cotto, alias Lilly Wood & The Prick, have their way. Their haunting melody "Prayer in C" was quickly snatched up by the DJ, producer and label owner Robin Schulz from Osnabruck, Germany, and sublimated into a shining dancefloor pearl! At the beginning of this year the head of Lausbuben Records ("Rascal" Records) and star DJ Robin Schulz already entered the Top 40 of the German iTunes charts with his single "Sunset". Last March he shoved none less than Pharrell Williams from the charts throne with his "Waves" remix for the Dutch rapper Mr. Probz and took a cosy position at Number One in the German singles, iTunes, airplay and dance hitparade charts. But this is not all because Robin Schulz is more than successful on an international level. The "Waves" remix stayed at #24 in the global iTunes Single Charts, at #21 in the global Spotify Charts and has held a Top 10 position in the Beatport Charts for more than three months. Following acclaimed live appearances in Germany, Holland, France and the UK, the Soundcloud-plays millionaire reached into his electronic bag of tricks and delivers a preview for the upcoming summer holidays with his deep house style remix of Lilly Wood & The Prick's "Prayer in C". It's a superstar collaboration: "Prayer in C" is the acoustic counterpart to an open air summer party night in the Provence: the scent of lavender in the air and an atmosphere somewhere between melancholy and euphoria. The track is driven by the absolutely captivating, goose-bump-inducing voice of Nili Hadidas, who with her sexy-smoky timbre, the haunting lyrics as well as Benjamin Cotto's wistful acoustic guitar melody create the organic vibe. The Robin Schulz remix underlays the track with a tight straight-on beat that transforms the original folk-pop track into an energic. melody-house club hymn. And Schulz must know how to do it: nearly 113,000 Soundcloud followers, who clicked his tracks several million times altogether, can't be wrong (for example, "Willst Du" has more than 1.2 million clicks or "Sunset" more than 820,000). And also his YouTube videos for his bootlegs with millions of clicks show that Robin Schulz knows how to seize the latest sound and serve it up to the masses in a sizzling new package. At the moment Robin Schulz is experiencing the hottest clubs in Europe on an extending tour. And the original creators of the track, the Paris duo Lilly Wood & The Prick don't have to play themselves down as far as fame is concerned. At home in France, the duo advanced to genuine superstars following their double-platinum debut abum. At the beginning of the year, one album track, "Into Trouble" was used in a TV spot for the noble jewelry brand Cartier. Together with Robin Schulz they deliver the next club diamond with "Prayer in C (Robin Schulz Remix)". Lyrica Television Commercial 2009
Lyrica Television Commercial from 2009. Pregabalin (PGN) marketed under the brand name Lyrica among others, is a medication used to treat epilepsy, neuropathic pain, fibromyalgia, and generalized anxiety disorder.[5][6][7] Its use for epilepsy is as an add-on therapy for partial seizures with or without secondary generalization in adults.[8] Some off-label uses of pregabalin include, restless leg syndrome, migraine, social phobia, panic disorder, mania, bipolar disorder, and alcohol withdrawal.[9][10] Common side effects include: sleepiness, confusion, trouble with memory, poor coordination, dry mouth, problem with vision, and weight gain.[6] Potentially serious side effects include angioedema, drug misuse, and an increased suicide risk.[6] It is moderately addictive both physically and psychologically.[1] Pregabalin is a 3-isobutyl derivative of the inhibitory neurotransmitter γ-aminobutyric acid (GABA) that functions as a calcium channel blocker.[11][12] Pregabalin is a potent gabapentinoid and a close structural analogue of GABA (see GABA analogue), as well as of 4-Methylpregabalin, gabapentin, gabapentin enacarbil, GABOB, baclofen, and phenibut.[13][14] Pregabalin binds to the α2δ subunit (A2D)-containing voltage-gated calcium channels (VGCCs) and modulates calcium influx at the nerve terminals, which may account for its therapeutic effect on neuropathic pain, anxiety, and seizures.[4][15] Pregabalin has potential to be misused and abuse of the drug may lead to physical and psychological dependence. The Drug Enforcement Administration placed pregabalin, including its salts, and all products containing pregabalin into Schedule V of the Controlled Substances Act.[16][17][18] There is to be no generic version available in the United States until 2018.[19] A generic version is available in Canada and the United Kingdom.[20][21] In the US it costs about 300-400 USD per month

http://www.StayingHealthyToday.com/ http://www.healthylivingforbusypeople.com/ http://kirkspoweraging.com/kirks-poweraging-tips/ 2015-09-20 Cocaine Dependence and N-Acetylcysteine N-acetylcysteine (NAC) 1200-2400 mg per day with or without food helped those who had quit cocaine stay away from trying it again and reduced the craving. Side effects were mainly gastrointestinal, GERD like (heart burn...) symptoms, especially at higher doses and on an empty stomach. Addictive substances in general lead to increased dopamine and glutamate levels in the brain. NAC restores balance to glutamate transmission.
