The practice of Aakash mudra, Vaayan mudra, Apaan-Vayu mudra and Pran mudra are useful to control high blood pressure, how to do it, duration and precautions. To know more visit http://www.completenaturecure.com/four-simple-mudras-controls-high-blood-pressure/ Four simple mudras for high blood pressure High blood pressure or hypertension is one of the most dangerous health disorder. This disease is a result of our modern lifestyle. The fast pace of life and the urban environments give rise to psychological tensions. Mental worries and stress increase the adrenaline in the bloodstream, and this results in a pressure of the blood to rise. You can go ahead and check my other post on remedies for high blood pressure High blood pressure or Hypertension Hypertension (known in Ayurveda as Rakta Gata Vata) is arterial hypertension in the arteries. The increase in blood pressure depends on age, gender, physical and mental activity, family history and diet. The normal blood pressure of a healthy adult is 120 mmHg systolic and 80 mmHg diastolic. Causes of high blood pressure Unhealthy diet and lack of exercise are the leading causes of hypertension today. Most foods we eat, fast food or items packed with preservatives and chemicals cause digestive problems in the body. Damaged digestion leads to the accumulation of ama (toxins), leading to hypertension. The food we eat is digested by our digestive fire (Jatharagni) to produce nutritious plasma. This plasma nourishes all other dhatus (body tissues) and helps produce healthy blood that circulates through multiple channels (srotas) in the body. However, as digestion worsens, the nutritive plasma stops producing digestive impurities or cravings. This mistress mingles with the plasma and turns it into sama (combined with ama) or massive. As a result, the blood thus produced becomes so heavy or sticky. This heavy blood (laden with impurities) flows through multiple channels and toxins begin to accumulate in the weakest channels of the body. When they gather in the heart tubes, these toxins cause the narrowing of the channels. Therefore, the blood must exert more pressure to flow through these channels, resulting in the condition of hypertension. Stress, anxiety and negative mental feelings also cause a rise in blood pressure. Other causes include the history of blood pressure in the family, obesity, physical inactivity, eating a high-fat and low-fiber diet, over-consumption of tea, coffee, and refined foods, etc. SYMPTOMS Neck pain (occipital headache) palpitations Dizziness or dizziness fatigue Ayurveda approach towards High blood pressure The Ayurvedic treatment line for hypertension aims to identify the cause of the disease and then administer herbs that can eradicate the root problem. To achieve this, digestion must be improved, and the digestive fire strengthened. Second, the toxins that have already accumulated in the channels of the heart must be eliminated. Finally, mental relaxation techniques, including meditation, yoga, and pranayama, are recommended to ensure that the mind remains calm and stable. Diet and lifestyle tips Avoid meat, eggs, table salt, cucumbers, tea, and coffee. Avoid smoking because it increases your heart rate. Increase the use of garlic, lemon, parsley, Indian gooseberry (Amla), watermelon, grapefruit, skim milk and cottage cheese. Regular exercise is the best ways to lower blood pressure; Fast walking, jogging, swimming, and athletics are good options. Laughter is the best solution because it relieves the stress and anxiety that is the primary cause of high blood pressure in today’s lifestyle.

Why Is Having High Blood Pressure Bad for You? Your blood pressure is the force used by the blood circulation through the walls of your blood vessels. When your heart beats, it pushes blood in the arteries of the body. To use force to push the blood creates pressure in the arteries, is called systolic blood pressure. Depending on the condition, activity, and condition of the disease (if any), an individual's blood pressure may vary. When the heart rests, the measurement is known as diastolic blood pressure, which is indicated by the lower reading. In the healthy person, the average blood pressure is 120 over 60. When it increases between 120 to 139 systolic blood pressure and 60 to 89 diastolic blood pressure is known Prehypertension. 140 to 159 systolic blood pressure and 90 to 99 diastolic blood pressure is called stage 1 hypertension. 160 or higher systolic and 100 or more diastolic is known stage 2 hypertension. Blood pressure that is pathologically low is known hypotension, whereas blood pressure that is pathologically high is known high blood pressure or hypertension. High blood pressure occurs when blood is pushing force against the walls of the artery. Over time, this force can cause damage to the lining of the arterial walls. When the artery lining is damaged, fat and calcium begin to accumulate on the wall, forming the plaque. The plaque can cause problems in the body over time because it narrows, or even blocks, the way for blood to flow through the arteries. Also, the arteries become stiff, causing atherosclerosis. If the heart arteries are completely blocked, then the individual may have a heart attack, abnormal heartbeat or coronary artery disease. Narrow arteries in the brain can lead to diseases such as strokes or transient ischemic attacks. Arteries obstructed by other organs can lead to an increased risk of eye damage, kidney failure, and other diseases. Possible risk factors for high blood pressure are as follows: • Family history of high blood pressure. • Aging. • Male gender. • Smoking. • Drinking more than two alcohol beverages a day for men; Drink more than one alcohol drink a day for women. • Being overweight or obese. • High cholesterol. • Diabetes. • Lack of exercise or physical activity. • Low consumption of potassium, magnesium, and calcium. • Sleep Apnea and Sleep Disorders. • Prolonged use of pain medications such as NSAIDs (although aspirin does not increase the risk of hypertension). Individuals should start taking more vegetables that are high in potassium, magnesium, and calcium to maintain normal blood pressure. Read more at www.biobalancehealth.com Hypertension and high blood pressure are considered to be signs of future disease. The treatment of high blood pressure has been one of the first preventive medical treatments that was embraced by modern medicine. Ever since we learned how to take a blood pressure we have used it to determine who should be treated to prevent chronic serious illnesses. Having hypertension does not produce any symptoms until it is severe and already causing damage—like the worst headache of your life. In general, modern medicine does not consider preventive medicine REAL medicine so they have made this sign of future disease, and actual diagnosis, with an ICD 10 code, I10, so that we can treat it as a disease. Well whatever gets your medical treatment paid for! I am a great proponent of preventive care, so don’t tell anyone that insurance companies are actually paying for hypertension treatment, to prevent heart disease stroke, arteriosclerosis, kidney failure, and sudden death. Those are the outcomes of high blood pressure when it has been left untreated for many years. Preventive care should be paid for by insurance companies. What is hypertension? If your BP is over 120/80 your blood pressure is not normal. The American Cardiologists and American Heart Association has just changed this from the old normal of should me less than 140/90. The recent guideline change in NORMAL BP levels was ostensibly to make patients aware that they were nearing a medical problem … an early warning that another problem might occur in the future. This new normal is a warning, for a warning. When should we get worried about BP? The new guidelines say that Stage 1 hypertension begins at 140/90, and that you should change your lifestyle if you are over 120/80. OK, so the new normal is just a yellow light to make patients aware that their blood pressure is increasing so they should do what they can without medicine to avoid getting hypertension and the diseases that can follow.

As part of a blood pressure therapy program, regular use of an infrared sauna is good for your heart. In the U.S. alone, one in three adults suffers from heart disease, stroke or some other form of cardiovascular disease in their lifetime. High blood pressure increases your risk of getting heart disease, kidney disease or serious stroke. Only Sunlighten saunas have been clinically determined to provide one of the best, natural ways to lower blood pressure. In a 2005 clinical study by the University of Missouri Kansas City, our sauna was shown to lower blood pressure through a program of 30 minute infrared sauna session 3 times per week. The study concluded that infrared sauna therapy dilated blood vessels and reduced the volume of their inner lining, thus increasing circulation to promote healthy blood pressure. Additionally, a Japanese study published in the October 2008 issue of The Journal of Cardiology examined the clinical effectiveness and safety of infrared blood pressure therapy, as compared to standard therapies for patients with chronic heart failure. The report concluded that far-infrared sauna therapy is both safe and effective at improving clinical symptoms and cardiac function as well as decreasing cardiac size in chronic heart failure patients. Repeated infrared sauna treatments improved impaired blood vessel functions in patients with high blood pressure, diabetes and high cholesterol. This suggests a preventive role for infrared sauna use for arteriosclerosis. All of these benefits can keep you in a healthy, active lifestyle. As with all of our therapies here, that is our goal.

Preeclampsia is a condition of pregnancy caused by something that occurs during pregnancy that causes a woman's blood pressure to go up. For most people a normal blood pressure is about 120 over 80. If your blood pressure starts to slowly creep up and it's 140 over 90 or greater, then the doctor is probably going to start monitoring you. You can expect them to draw your blood and test your urine and watch your baby and also ask you a lot about certain symptoms you might be feeling like headaches, dizziness, blurry vision, and a sudden increase in swelling. If you're at home and ever have this persistent headache that you just can't kick it's always a good idea to go get your blood pressure checked. In your specific case you mentioned that your blood pressure was 144 over 72, the doctor tested your urine and it sounds like there's not any protein there. You want to know what you can do to lower your blood pressure. There really is nothing you can do to reverse the process once it's started but you can do something to try to slow it down. If the doctor has told you to be on bed rest or modified best rest then follow their advice because when we are at rest our blood pressure is lower. Your blood pressure at rest may slowly start to creep up because if your body is developing preeclampsia this will naturally happen. Because the cause is pregnancy the cure is delivery. It never starts to reverse itself until you've actually delivered the baby. This becomes very complicated if you're preterm. You did mention that you're 25 weeks and obviously we don't want to deliver you at this point unless it's necessary. You're the best incubator for your baby and there are no other incubators out there that are better. But sometimes if you develop preeclampsia then it becomes necessary to deliver the baby for their wellbeing and for yours. Ultimately complications of this can be as severe as a stroke and seizures for you. These things can also compromise the baby and there can be compromised blood flow to the baby because the high blood pressure also affects your blood's ability to flow through the placenta. They'll watch you very closely. They'll monitor your blood, your urine, your baby, combine all of these pieces of the puzzle together and it might come to the point where you have to deliver early for the wellbeing of you and your baby. Hopefully that's not the case. Hopefully you can carry your baby to full term. If you're developing it this early then I would keep in close contact with your doctor and make sure if you start to have suspicious symptoms that you get your blood pressure checked right away. Again, the only thing you can do is be at rest most of the time. Do this under the direction of your doctor and ask your doctor if they feel like it's necessary in your case. If you have any other questions for me feel free to ask them on our Facebook page and recommend us to your friends and family too.

http://bit.ly/bloodPressureNow What is High Blood Pressure Also known by the medical term hypertension, high blood pressure is measured in numbers based on the systolic and diastolic pressures of the blood. Systolic pressure measures the force of blood against the walls of the arteries as the heart beats, while diastolic pressure measures the force of blood on the walls of the arteries between heart beats, when the heart is relaxed. These two numbers are shown in sequence from top to bottom, with the systolic pressure measurement on top and the diastolic on bottom. For instance, a healthy blood pressure is 110/70, with a systolic pressure of 110 and a diastolic pressure of 70. It is now estimated that nearly one out of every three Americans has high blood pressure. Blood pressure is the measurement of how much force the flow of blood puts on the arteries. Although blood pressure rises and falls during the day depending on activity levels, eating habits and other conditions, when blood pressure regularly remains elevated, it is called high blood pressure. High blood pressure readings differ for everyone and are difficult to pin down, since our blood pressure rises and falls during the day, but a good healthy blood pressure is usually 120/80 or lower. A systolic pressure which consistently reads from 120 to 139, with a diastolic reading of 80 to 89, is considered pre-high blood pressure. Stage one hypertension is a consistent systolic reading of 140 to 159, with a diastolic reading of 90 to 99. Stage two is anything consistently over 160/100. When the blood pressure is high, it forces the heart to work harder than it should. The extra force of blood against the walls of the arteries can cause the arteries to harden. Also known as "the silent killer," this condition can lead to stroke, heart attack, heart failure, kidney failure or blindness. However, there are rarely any symptoms; the only way to know if you have high blood pressure is to have it checked. Blood pressure readings should always be viewed in regard to other conditions which may cause a temporary rise, including stress, fear, anger, fatigue, and anxiety at being in a doctor's office. High blood pressure can also be caused by cardiovascular and kidney disorders, neurological conditions, pre-eclampsia in pregnancy, and various medications. Hypertension does not discriminate; anyone can develop it, regardless of age, race or gender. The good news is that this condition can be treated and prevented. While there are many medications designed to lower blood pressure, there are also lifestyle changes which can help. Losing weight, exercise, a healthy low-fat diet, and consuming less sodium and alcohol will contribute to lowering high blood pressure. Always talk to your doctor before making changes in diet or exercise, and have your blood pressure checked regularly. Visit the website. What are the signs of high blood pressure during pregnancy? If you are afraid you have high blood pressure, you need to see a doctor. High blood pressure is dangerous. What could it cause? In the worst scenario, it could cause a stroke, heart attack or pre-eclampsia and premature delivery. What are the symptoms I need to be on the lookout for? You could see symptoms like visual disturbances. I feel that way when I've been throwing up so much I'm dizzy. You'd have blurred vision and sensitivity to light. You might also have headaches that won't stop and the sound of blood rushing in your ears. I suppose a grocery store blood pressure monitor would be more certain. If you think your blood pressure is going up, you need to get to a doctor. Pre-eclampsia can be life threatening. How can I prevent it? In theory, having a healthy cardiovascular system and limiting salt intake help. In reality, we don't have a good preventative measure. If only they could give me high blood pressure medicine to treat it. The only cure is delivering the baby, but that all too often leads to a stillbirth or preemie. I know that high blood pressure can ruin your kidneys, making pregnancy far worse than the regular literal bathroom runs the baby already causes. Prenatal diabetes raises the risk of high blood pressure, and pre-eclampsia has a strong correlation to it. Unlike the peeing in bleach test to determine a child's gender. If you felt light headed or had blurred vision after that, it is due to chlorine fumes, not high blood pressure. How often does pre-eclampsia occur? High blood pressure shows up in around one in fifteen pregnancies, and your odds go up with age, obesity and having multiples. The only thing worse than multiples is multiple preemies. That is guaranteed to give you high blood pressure if you didn't already have it.

Normal Blood Pressure Range for Children & Adults https://youtu.be/GUGoIHSDRF0 Blood pressure measures the pressure that is in the arteries when the heart is at rest as well as when it is actively pumping. Understanding the normal blood pressure levels can help you evaluate the health of your cardiovascular system. Adults For adults, the normal blood pressure reading is less than 120 mm Hg for the systolic pressure and less than 80 mm Hg for the diastolic pressure. The systolic pressure is the pressure when the heart is actively pumping, whereas the diastolic pressure is the arterial pressure when the heart is at rest. Pediatric Normal blood pressure readings in children vary depending on the age, sex, and height of the child. In general, normal blood pressure is higher for males and increases with increasing age and height, but the normal numbers must be determined by looking at a chart. Many doctors recommend routinely measuring blood pressure beginning at age 3. Abnormal Readings It is important to note that one abnormally high reading does not mean that a person has high blood pressure. Blood pressure can fluctuate significantly from one reading to the next, so an average of multiple readings taken over several days should be used when evaluating blood pressure numbers. Almost everyone occasionally experiences cold feet or numbness in their toes and fingers. But if it happens every day, it's a sign that you need help. It signals that your blood circulation is poor, which might result in kidney issues, varicose vein problems, and other not so pleasant diseases. Therefore, you should act quickly to avoid any possible health problems. TIMESTAMPS Get a pet 0:43 Choose wine over beer 1:35 Eat spicy food 2:36 Quit smoking 3:30 Wear the right clothes 4:20 Drink green tea 5:12 Add foods rich in folic acid 6:00 Elevate your feet 6:59 Get a massage 7:50 Drink more water 8:49 SUMMARY - American Heart Association stated that owning a pet, especially a dog, reduces the risk of heart diseases. Forming a special bond with your pet lowers your heart rate when you are around them and helps you manage your stress. Besides, owning a dog increases your chances of getting outside and walking. - Compared to other alcohol, wine gives you more benefits because it contains antioxidants and other plant compounds. In fact, it prevents blood platelets from sticking to one another, which highly reduces the risk of blood clots, which are the main reasons for strokes and heart attacks. Don't get too excited, though, as a moderate approach is a key here: the best amount of daily wine consumption is one drink for women and not more than two a day for men. - Spicy foods are known to be quite helpful when you're dealing with poor blood circulation. For example, such products as cayenne pepper and red pepper expand blood vessels and increase the blood flow. They help your cardiovascular system to function better and keep blood pressure normal. - If you still can't get rid of this unhealthy habit, here's a good reason to do it right now. Regular smoking destroys important antioxidants in your system and increases blood pressure. In the long run, smoking affects pretty much every organ in your body, including heart and blood vessels. - Tight pants or skinny jeans hamper circulation and can facilitate the development of varicose veins. It's much better to choose lightly fitted or slightly loose garments, which will allow your blood to circulate normally throughout your body. - Green tea is known to have a great effect on your health and physical state. It prevents cancer, lowers your cholesterol level, helps to lose weight and have a positive effect on the brain activity. - One of the most important reasons to consume enough foods rich in folic acid is cellular growth and regeneration. Folic acid is engaged in the creation of red blood cells and the prevention of anemia. That means that not having enough folic acid will affect blood clotting. To prevent it, eat more dark leafy greens, such as spinach, turnip greens, and lettuce. - Putting your feet up above the level of your heart improves your circulation at once as it takes the pressure off the veins and legs. It also helps you relax after a long hard day. This simple movement reduces the stress, swelling, and pressure on your blood vessels and veins. - A good massage increases local circulation as it stimulates blood flow in the soft tissues. Several studies have shown that massage positively affects your peripheral vascular function. Don't forget that to have a needed effect it should be done right. - Doctors recommend drinking about 8 glasses of water everyday. You can simply drink one or two bottles of water every day – it will do the job just as well. Another good variant is to find out the exact amount of water you should consume daily, depending on your age, gender and other important details about your lifestyle. Studies show hypertension can occur in three percent of pregnancies. Health experts say it happens when the mother develops high blood pressure while pregnant. Sheri Campbell, a nurse practitioner with Golisano Children’s Hospital, says mothers who are completely healthy can develop high blood pressure while pregnant, especially if it’s the mother’s first pregnancy or if she’s expecting multiple babies. “The high blood pressure is certainly a big deal. We see that as a real common cause for premature delivery. It can be very dangerous and it can lead to mother’s having seizures, even strokes.” Campbell says hypertension can cause a high risk pregnancy for both mother and baby. “I think people really need to realize that it’s really a real risk and it’s important to deliver those babies early when the mother’s blood pressure is dangerously high.” Things like genetics can cause hypertension, but it can also be brought on by smoking, lack of exercise, stress, drinking, and taking drugs. If a mother has hypertension while pregnant health experts may place her on bed rest. “The nutrition of the baby can be compromised. A lot of times when the mom had chronic high blood pressure when the babies are born they are extra small and the umbilical cord is really small and they don’t get nourished the way they should” said Campbell. She says mothers who deliver early because of high blood pressure are at a higher risk for developing hypertension in future pregnancies. After delivery, both mother and baby are monitored by health experts. Campbell says once out of the womb, the baby typically has a normal blood pressure. Click on http://stayhealthyvideos.com/kidneydiet to get detailed information about a kidney healthy diet. Transcript: Preventing Kidney Problems From Diabetes One of the most frequent--and dangerous--causes of kidney problems is diabetes. Here are some quick tips for preventing diabetes kidney problems, gathered from a number of reliable sources and online publications: Carefully monitor your blood glucose level. Blood glucose level, or blood sugar level, tells you how much sugar is present in your system. Failure to maintain a normal range can contribute to kidney failure. If you have concerns, ask your doctor about the HbA1c test, which is a lab test to determine average blood glucose over a period of two to three months. Maintain a healthy blood pressure. High blood pressure, or hypertension, damages tissue in the kidneys and causes kidney failure. Ask your doctor about ACE inhibitor medications. This type pf medication helps control blood pressure. An ACE inhibitor called Capoten (the generic name is captopril) has been approved by the US Food and Drug Administration to protect the kidneys in people with diabetes. Schedule a yearly physical that includes a urinalysis. This will help your doctor spot anything that's not normal. Be sure to have any other kidney tests done that your doctor recommends.
