The Camelot Cancer Care Clinic in Tulsa, Oklahoma was shut down by the FDA on April 24, 2013. They were the last Laetrile Clinic in the US. This is the clinic I wanted to go to. Fortunately, I spoke with them at length and got all the details of their program, so I could do it myself. Which I did. I just think it's a crime, that the FDA is used to protect Big Pharma, and deprive people of freedom to choose treatment alternatives. We're not babies, we can weigh the options, make our own decisions and accept the consequences. Mary Brown Stephenson’s death from cancer shattered her family—and ignited a determination that inspired her son to change the face of cancer care. Frustrated by the lack of options and quality care made available to his mother, Richard J Stephenson developed a model of care that delivers a whole-person treatment approach in a compassionate, nurturing environment, all under one roof. Three decades later, that patient-centered approach to cancer treatment remains the foundation on which Cancer Treatment Centers of America® (CTCA) operates. Every patient’s care plan, from treating the disease to managing related side effects, is designed to meet his or her needs and treatment goals. http://www.cancercenter.com Patients with cancers of the head and neck have long been faced with a daunting reality: Because of the delicate anatomy of the face, neck and throat, tumors located in these sensitive areas of the body are often difficult to remove, especially without extensive damage to the jaw, nose or other affected features. But recent advances in robotic surgery technologies are offering oncologists new tools to allow them to reach and remove such tumors with less damage than more invasive approaches. “Robotic surgery is the way of the future,” says Brad Mons, DO, Otolaryngologist and Head, Neck and Microvascular Reconstructive Surgeon at Cancer Treatment Centers of America (CTCA) in Tulsa, Oklahoma. “Without robotic surgery, I would not be able to operate in a minimally invasive fashion. This is a complete game changer for head and neck cancer surgery.” Watch the video to learn more about robotic surgery options to treat head and neck cancer. http://cancercenter.com/integrativecare/ Many patients understand that cancer is a difficult journey, but most don’t know exactly what to expect until they experience it. For example, side effects like pain, nausea, neuropathy and malnutrition may impact their strength and stamina, potentially making them too sick to continue treatment in some cases. Integrative cancer care is designed to help fill those needs. It treats the cancer with conventional methods like surgery and chemotherapy, while helping patients manage side effects with evidence-based therapies like nutritional support, naturopathic medicine, physical therapy and chiropractic care. Watch this video to learn more, or go to http://cancercenter.com/integrativecare/.
