4 Early Symptoms Of Ovarian Cancer That Every Woman Needs To Know At present time, cancer is one of the leading causes of death worldwide. As a matter of fact, it is responsible for 30% of the deaths in Canada alone, more than any other disease or possible cause. What is ovarian cancer? Ovarian cancer occurs when the cells of the ovaries develop tumors which then become malignant. Known as the silent killer due to what seems to be a lack of symptoms and also the difficulty of being detected in annual screenings, this kind of cancer most commonly affects post-menopausal women. However, more and more cases are now occurring in women in their 30’s and 40’s, and maybe even younger. Another problem is that many of the symptoms present are often mistaken for other diseases, such as IBS (irritable bowel syndrome), which leaves these early stage tumors undiagnosed until they reach stage 3 when they become lumps in the abdomen and pelvic area. 4 Symptoms that may be signs of Ovarian cancer Persistent bloating If you find yourself constantly getting bloated, (especially for durations of more than three weeks), and you never were before, this could be a sign that cancerous tumors are forming and growing. Lower abdominal and pelvic pain Although menstrual cramps and pain during menstruation are normal, persistent pain that lasts for more than three weeks can be a sign of ovarian cancer. Pre-menopausal women should be especially careful, as these symptoms are often easily passed off for period pain. Difficulty eating/feeling full quickly If you notice a drastic drop in appetite for more than three weeks, discuss this with your doctor. Even though it could be just a sign of a long list of stomach, intestine, and bowel issues, it could also indicate cancer. Increased need to urinate In case you find yourself visiting the toilet much more often than earlier, without any changes regarding the liquid intake, it is very likely that you have early stages of ovarian cancer. Another sign that indicates ovarian cancer is an urgent need to pee and inability to hold it. Every one of these symptoms are easily, and quite often are, mistaken for problems and diseases associated with the Gastrointestinal tract. If symptoms don’t dissipate after three weeks or longer, it’s time to make an appointment with your doctor to discuss getting checked for ovarian cancer. 4 EARLY SYMPTOMS OF OVARIAN CANCER THAT EVERY WOMAN NEEDS TO KNOW

03:27
4 EARLY SYMPTOMS OF OVARIAN CANCER THAT EVERY WOMAN NEEDS TO KNOW. The leading cause of death in the world is cancer. In Canada, a country with sophisticated cancer treatment technology, cancer claims 30% of the yearly death toll. Of course when speaking of cancer, many different variations exist. One of those would be ovarian cancer, which claimed close to 1750 deaths in Canada. In the US alone, at least 14,000 deaths per year were recorded. Ovarian cancer is a result of cells in the ovaries developing malignant tumors. Those tumors are also known as silent killers, since there is a lack of information available on them. It is actually difficult to detect ovarian cancer when screening. Ovarian cancer can occur to women who are in their 30s and 40s, maybe even younger. Early detection facilitates survival of the disease, so constant checkups with your doctor is something you should do. There’s another problem with ovarian cancer though. It’s not just a silent disease. It is also hard to detect. There are currently no reliable tests that can be used to find malignant tests, and blood tests are not reliable for detection. Additionally, the disease may be mistaken for irritable bowel syndrome, up until the point where it becomes too late for treatment. Thankfully, new research has shown that there are signs of early ovarian cancer. Regardless, women must be quite observant, to detect any problems that may show up. We’ll be showing you 4 of those symptoms below to help you out! (1) Constant Bloating. If your body is bloating often (usually for more than 2 weeks), then this could be a sign of ovarian cancer growing. Check a doctor and get tested if this is the case. (2) Lower Abdominal and Pelvic Pain. Areas where menstrual cramps can be felt can be symptoms of ovarian cancer. Pain during your menstrual cycle is normal, but if it occurs outside of your menstrual phase while persisting (again, for more than 2 weeks), then it could be ovarian cancer. This is a symptom that should be monitored with pre-menopausal women, since this can be interpreted as period pain. (3) Eating Difficulties. If your appetite is decrease for a period of longer than 3 weeks, simply speak to a doctor. The pain could signify ovarian cancer, with pain signals at a variety of areas in your stomach. (4) Need to Urinate Often. You may be in need of visiting the ladies room more often, even if you haven’t taken in too many liquids. In such a situation, you may have ovarian cancer. All of the previous symptoms are often mistaken as gastrointestinal problems. If you find yourself experiencing any of these issues, you should monitor your ovarian health persistently. 2 weeks is the checkup time for the problems, where if they don’t go away, a doctor should be contacted for a cancer check. In the end, it is primarily a woman’s responsibility to check for signs of a disease that is inherently fatal to her. You can aid other women in fighting ovarian cancer too by spreading awareness! Ovarian Cancer Symptoms That All Women Must Know!

Early symptoms, types, diagnosis and treatment of ovarian cancer that you should know. Cancer is one of the leading causes of death worldwide. For many years scientists and researchers have worked around the clock to try and find cures for every type of cancer. To the present day we are still learning about this deadly disease, and without a cure, we are left watching out for signs and symptoms that can help lead to a diagnosis. Timestamps: 1. Constant Bloating: 2. Pain In Your Pelvis or Lower Abdomen: 3. Eating Issues: 4. Urgent Need to Urinate: Music: https://www.youtube.com/audiolibrary/music Summary: 1. Constant Bloating: If you are experiencing constant bloating that is out of the ordinary (usually lasting for three weeks or longer), this could be a sign of ovarian cancer. The best thing to do in this situation is to consult your doctor to get a proper diagnosis. If you are experiencing unusual bloating that lasts for more than three weeks, you should speak to your doctor to rule out the possibility of ovarian cancer or any other type of cancer, particularly if you are over the age of 50 or if there is a history of breast or ovarian cancer in your family, which can put you at higher risk for developing those types of cancers. 2. Pain In Your Pelvis or Lower Abdomen: It is normal for women to feel pain in their stomach, pelvis and abdomen area during menstruation. But when that pain does not subside long after the woman is done menstruating, it could be a sign of ovarian cancer. This sign is particularly important for women to watch out for because it is often mistaken for period pain. If you experience any unusual pain in your pelvis, lower abdomen, or even feel fatigue in your legs, it is best to speak to a doctor. In addition to pain in your pelvis or lower abdomen, another symptom of ovarian cancer is extreme fatigue. If you are feeling extremely tired or weak, or your body and muscles do not feel as strong as they used to, monitor your body. If this continues over a period of weeks, it is best to consult your doctor. Be sure to mention any other unusual health issues or symptoms you may be experiencing. 3. Eating Issues: If you notice that you are becoming less hungry over a three-week span, you should go consult your doctor. It could be issues with your stomach or intestines, but it could also be a sign of ovarian cancer, so it’s best not to leave it up to chance. In addition to losing your appetite, another common symptom of ovarian cancer is a constant feeling of being full, increased weight loss, or excessive weight gain. In addition to these types of eating issues, you may also experience heartburn and gastrointestinal issues such as burping. Other symptoms or signs of ovarian cancer include constipation, diarrhea, nausea, indigestion and heartburn. If you are experiencing issues with weight loss or gain, or have noticed that you have developed unusual or painful stomach issues, speak to your doctor immediately to rule out the possibility of ovarian cancer. 4. Urgent Need to Urinate: If you notice that you are constantly running to the bathroom to urinate and you have made no changes to the amount of liquid you consume, this could be an early sign of ovarian cancer. Also, if you feel fine one minute and two minutes later you are running to the bathroom, it could be a bladder infection but also ovarian cancer. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Subscribe to Bestie : https://goo.gl/tUqro6 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Our Social Media: Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/bestieinc/ ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- For more videos and articles visit: http://www.bestie.com/

10 Early Warning Signs of Ovarian Cancer Every Woman Should Know

09:25
10 Early Warning Signs of Ovarian Cancer Every Woman Should Know Ovarian cancer primarily affects women 50 years of age and older. It can occur in several parts of the ovaries, which are located on either side of the uterus. It may spread to the lining of the abdomen, bowel and bladder as well as to the lymph nodes, lungs and liver. Although ovarian cancer accounts for only about 3 percent of cancers affecting women, it causes more deaths than other cancers affecting the female reproductive system, according to American Cancer Society (ACS). The ACS estimates that about 21,290 women in the United States will be diagnosed with ovarian cancer by 2015. Experts do not know the exact cause of ovarian cancer, but there are certain factors that can put you at higher risk. Such factors include being 50 or older, family history, never giving birth, starting menstruation at an early age, going through menopause after age 50, certain medications, smoking, obesity and history of polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). It is more common in white women than African-Americans. When the tumor starts developing in an ovary, symptoms may be vague or not apparent, but they become more noticeable during later stages. Moreover, the symptoms are very nonspecific and can indicate a number of different conditions. This is why it has been dubbed as ‘The Silent Killer’. Often, women discover ovarian cancer at later stages due to unavailability of any reliable screening method. Doctors use pelvic exams, ultrasound scans and blood tests for cancer-related markers to detect the disease. It is important for women to know their body and take care of it properly. If any changes occur in the body, it is highly recommended to consult a doctor.

4 Early Symptoms of Ovarian Cancer That Every Woman Needs To Know

03:51
4 Early Symptoms of Ovarian Cancer That Every Woman Needs To Know !! At the present time, cancer is the leading cause of death in nearly all countries around the world. In fact, it is to blame for over 30 percent of all deaths in Canada alone, which is much more compared to any other disease. As estimated by the Canadian and American Cancer Societies, ovarian cancer had 2800 new cases and 1750 deaths in Canada, and 22,280 new cases and 14,240 deaths in the United States in 2016 alone. WHAT IS OVARIAN CANCER? Ovarian cancer develops when the cells of the ovaries form tumors that become malignant. It is often referred to as “the silent killer” as it shows little or no symptoms, which are quite difficult to detect with screening. While it is most common in post-menopausal women, it has recently started affecting younger women in their 30s and 40s. According to a recent research, early cancer detection notably increases the chances of survival, so regular check-ins are must. Unfortunately, currently there isn’t any reliable test. CA125 blood tests may give false negatives while smear tests are not capable of picking up malignant cells. There is yet another problem, though. Many of the symptoms are often mistaken for those associated with other diseases, such as irritable bowel syndrome. Consequently, the tumor gets diagnosed at stage 3, when it becomes too late. 4 SYMPTOMS THAT MAY BE SIGNS OF OVARIAN CANCER: 1. PERSISTENT BLOATING; Consistent and frequent bloating, that goes on for more than three weeks, often indicates a cancerous tumor growth. 2. LOWER ABDOMINAL AND PELVIC PAIN; Although menstrual cramps and pain during menstruation are normal, persistent pain that lasts for more than three weeks can be a sign of ovarian cancer. Pre-menopausal women should be especially careful, as these symptoms are often easily passed off for period pain. 3. DIFFICULTY EATING/FEELING FULL QUICKLY; A decrease in appetite that comes out of the blue and goes on for more than three weeks can be a sign of various ailments, among which stomach, intestine, and bowel issues are the most common. However, it can be a sign of cancer as well, so make sure you consult your doctor. 4. INCREASED NEED TO URINATE; In case you find yourself visiting the toilet much more often than earlier, without any changes regarding the liquid intake, it is very likely that you have early stages of ovarian cancer. Another sign that indicates ovarian cancer is an urgent need to pee and inability to hold it. Most of these symptoms can be easily mistaken for problems and diseases with the gastrointestinal tract. Therefore, if you experience any of them and you haven’t earlier, it is crucial to monitor their persistence and frequency. If they don’t subside in a few weeks, consult your doctor and get checked as soon as possible. Remember that monitoring our health and learning to recognize the symptoms is the key to early detection and an increased chance of survival.

Breaking the Silence on Ovarian Cancer

02:28
By: Erin Nichols Fox San Antonio "I thought I was going to die," said ovarian cancer survivor Patsy Meneses. With her daughter, Regina Casillas, by her side, Meneses remembers the day her life forever changed. Meneses was diagnosed with stage 3 ovarian cancer two years ago after experiencing extreme bloating and loss of appetite. "The bloating became so intense that I had trouble walking," she said. "To me, this was a fluke. There is no cancer in my family. My mother died with her ovaries intact, so I never really worried about that or getting any type of cancer." Casillas feared for her mom. "I had never heard of ovarian cancer before," Casillas said. "I didn't know anything about it and I guess I had the same reaction as my mother did because I didn't want to lose my mom. I didn't want to lose my best friend." The symptoms of ovarian cancer include: bloating, pelvic or abdominal pain, trouble eating, and needing to urinate urgently or often. Because the symptoms are so difficult to detect, only 19% of cases are caught early, making it the 5th leading cause of cancer death. "The symptoms are so unrecognizable and they go treated for something else and we lose so many women that way," said Casillas. "It's called a 'silent killer' because when we tend to find 70-80% of ovarian cancers in an advance stage, which has a poor prognosis," said Dr. Winnifred Wong. Dr. Wong is a radiation oncologist with San Antonio Military Medical Center. Because there is no screening method for ovarian cancer, she advises women to listen to their bodies and know their normal. "Being your best advocate is the number one thing," she said. "If there are symptoms that persist daily for more than two weeks that you can't contribute to anything else, please get into your physician. If you are written off, continue to persist." Meneses finished her chemotherapy treatments in 2014. She's doing well and with her daughter by her side, she has faith and support. "She's my hero," said Casillas. September is National Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month. But on Saturday October 24, there will be a run/walk in San Antonio to break the silence on ovarian cancer. It will be at Eisenhower Park. If any changes occur in the body, it is highly recommended to consult a doctor. Here are the early warning signs of ovarian cancer. 1. Pelvic or Abdominal Pain The growth of a tumor in an ovary causes pelvic or abdominal pain. The tumor exerts pressure on and around the surrounding areas, leading to intense pain. In cases of ovarian cancer, the pain persists for weeks. 2. Uncomfortable or Painful Intercourse Painful intercourse, medically known as dyspareunia, is another early indication of ovarian cancer. The presence of a tumor in or around the area surrounding an ovary can make intercourse extremely painful. There may even be mild vaginal bleeding after the intercourse. 3. Abdominal Bloating or Swelling General discomfort in the lower abdomen may also indicate that something is wrong with your ovaries. Symptoms like bloating, expansion of your belly, gas, indigestion, heartburn and nausea are common. 4. Frequent or Urgent Need to Urinate Sudden changes in urinary habits can also be a symptom of ovarian cancer. There may be changes in the frequency of urination, loss of bladder control (incontinence) or spotting blood with urine. 5. Difficulty Eating or Getting Full Quickly If you are a good eater and suddenly notice a loss of appetite or you are getting full after eating just a few bites of food, this is not a good sign. #ovariancancer #ovariancancercauses ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Our Social Links: Subscribe To Our Channel : https://goo.gl/7YPKcz For more tips see our blog: https://naturalhealthcarenhc.blogspot.com like us in Facebook: https://goo.gl/MmjtyD Follow us on twitter: https://goo.gl/USDg3k Google plus: https://goo.gl/B5B2oz Special thanks to: http://www.top10homeremedies.com If you found this information cool, useful or valuable please hit share and let your friends benefit from this as well!

Talcum Powder Linked to Ovarian Cancer

02:55
Attention: If you or a loved one uses talc powder, you may be at increased risk of ovarian cancer. A South Dakota jury recently sided with a woman claiming her ovarian cancer was linked to her use of Johnson & Johnson talc-based body powder. The jury stated that J&J should have warned of the risks. Three doctors analyzed the woman's cancer tissue and found talc. They concluded that the body powder was the cause. One of those doctors, Daniel Cramer of Harvard University, has studied the association between talc and cancer for 30 years. He stated that talc is probably a factor in 10,000 cases of ovarian cancer each year. Talc is a mineral made up primarily of magnesium, silicon, and oxygen. As a powder, it absorbs moisture well and helps cut down on friction. It is estimated that 20% to 40% of women use talc powder regularly on their genital area. This usage occurs either through direct application, or as a result of tampons, sanitary pads and diaphragms that have been dusted with talc. Ovarian cancer is the eighth most common cancer in women, and the fifth leading cause of female cancer deaths. Each year in the U.S. about 22,000 women are diagnosed with ovarian cancer, and about 15,000 die from it. The FDA stated in 1993 that it was aware of dangers due to talc, but to this day has not taken any action on the problem. The FDA has even denied petitions requesting that talcum powder products be required to have warnings on their labels. In 2002, the president of the industry's Cosmetic Toiletry and Fragrance Association, Edward Kavanaugh, conceded that talc is toxic and "can reach the human ovaries." The International Agency for Research (IARC) on Cancer said that based on evidence from human studies, the IARC classifies the perineal (genital) use of talc-based body powder as "possibly carcinogenic to humans." Anticancer Research published a 'meta-analysis,' or large scale review, of 16 previous published studies involving 11,933 women and found a 33 percent increased risk of ovarian cancer was confirmed. Using Ginger To Kill Ovarian Cancer Cells

If you received value from this video you may also be interested in the new Kindle version of my book "Beating Ovarian Cancer: Reclaiming Your Life". You can get it here. http://amzn.to/1blZRwz Ginger is used as an effective remedy for nausea and inflammation, but... Did you know ginger kills ovarian cancer cells? Yep, it's true! Researchers from the University of Michigan Comprehensive Cancer Center found that ginger not only kills ovarian cancer cells, but it also prevents them from building up resistance to treatment - which is a common problem for ovarian cancer patients. In this study, the scientists applied a solution of ginger powder and water to ovarian cancer cells. In every single test they found the cancer cells died as a result of being in contact with the ginger solution. The cancer cells either digested or attacked themselves or they committed suicide. I'm a big fan of fresh ginger and I use plenty of it, especially in my green drinks. But lots of people don't care for ginger and have a hard time eating it. The great news is that the ginger powder they used in this study is similar to what's sold in grocery stores. So think about it... you don't have to eat fresh ginger if you don't like it. You can take the powder in capsules with plenty of water. After all the powder is what was used in the study! So if you haven't incorporated ginger in your diet, now is a perfect time to start.

Every 11 hours one woman dies of ovarian cancer in Australia. Approximately 1400 Australian women are diagnosed with the cancer each year, and nearly 900 die annually, making ovarian cancer the fourth most common cause of cancer-related death in women in Australia. The high mortality rate in ovarian cancer patients results from the diagnosis of the disease at an advanced-stage when the cancer has already spread into the peritoneal cavity. Professor Nuzhat Ahmed is working tirelessly with her team to change this outcome.
Early Warning Signs of Ovarian Cancer Every Woman Should Know

03:32
Early Warning Signs of Ovarian Cancer Every Woman Should Know Ovarian cancer primarily affects women 50 years of age and older. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Our Social Links: Subscribe To Our Channel : https://goo.gl/7YPKcz For more tips see our blog: https://naturalhealthcarenhc.blogspot.com like us in Facebook: https://goo.gl/MmjtyD Follow us on twitter: https://goo.gl/USDg3k Google plus: https://goo.gl/B5B2oz Special thanks to: http://www.top10homeremedies.com If you found this information cool, useful or valuable please hit share and let your friends benefit from this as well!

Over 20,000 women are diagnosed with ovarian cancer every year in the United States. And around 15,000 women die from it. You will be surprised to discover that most people don’t know the symptoms of this deadly disease. They only realize something is wrong when the cancer has started taking its toll on the body. Stages Of Ovarian Cancer Symptoms | 8 initial symptoms of ovarian cancer

05:24
Stages Of Ovarian Cancer Symptoms | 8 initial symptoms of ovarian cancer Ovarian cancer is one of the highest mortality cancers, but if you discover it early you can raise the survival rate to 95%. Ovarian cancer is called "silent killer". This is because, as with other types of cancer, the disease progresses considerably and subjective symptoms appear after treatment becomes difficult. As most cases are found late, the death rate per patient is the highest among gynecologic cancers. According to a recent report, only 50% of the women diagnosed with ovarian cancer can survive for 5 years from the first diagnosis. It is because there are many cases where cancer is discovered at the stage where it has progressed considerably, but medical experts say that if it is found at an early stage, survival rate can be raised up to 95%. Ovarian cancer can occur in women of any age group, but the risk increases at the age of 50 and reaches its peak at the age of 65. In order not to be too late, it is important to learn about the symptoms that may be a danger signal of ovarian cancer. However, remember that the symptoms listed below may also be related to other health problems, so do not rely on self-judgment, you must receive a doctor's diagnosis without fail. New Findings on Surgery for Women With Cancer Genes

03:58
I'm Alex Villarreal with the VOA Special English Health Report, from http://voaspecialenglish.com | http://facebook.com/voalearningenglish Every year, one million women around the world are found to have breast cancer. Almost two hundred thousand others are told they have ovarian cancer. The decisions for treatment are more difficult when the women have abnormal versions of two genes called BRCA1 and BRCA2. The mutations in these genes can also increase the risk for other kinds of cancer, including cancer of the cervix, uterus and pancreas.Sandra Cohen has never had breast cancer or ovarian cancer. But she has the BRCA1 and BRCA2 mutations. So she decided to have doctors remove her breasts and ovaries. She made the decision after her mother and grandmother both died from the same kind of cancers. Doctors have known for several years that preventative surgery reduces the risk of ovarian and breast cancer for women with the mutations. But a new study also shows that these operations help those patients live longer. The four-year study involved about two thousand five hundred women with the genetic mutations. One of the researchers was Dr. Susan Domchek at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. She said: "Women who had their ovaries removed had a decrease in the risk of breast cancer and a decrease in the risk of ovarian cancer. In addition, they were less likely to die of breast cancer, less likely to die of ovarian cancer and also had an improvement in their overall survival." The study found that none of the women who had preventative breast removal developed breast cancer. Seven percent later did among those who decided against the surgery. The rate of breast cancer was also seven percent among women who did not have their ovaries removed. Among those who did, the breast cancer rate was one percent. The study also found that the women who had their ovaries removed lowered their risk of death from ovarian cancer by almost eighty percent. Their risk of death from breast cancer was fifty-six percent lower, says Dr. Domchek. The researchers say women with a strong family history of breast or ovarian cancers should get genetic testing. Sandra Cohen did.She says: "Do some research with a genetic counselor. Meet some other women who have gone through it. It really will empower you to take some action." The study appeared in JAMA, the Journal of the American Medical Association. For VOA Special English I'm Alex Villarreal. (Adapted from a radio program broadcast 22Sept2010)

Risks for Ovarian Cancer

01:53
It’s the deadliest gynecological cancer but there’s no way to screen for it. Each year nearly 22,000 new cases of ovarian cancer are diagnosed. Dr. Sami Sandadi, a gynecologic oncologist on staff at Lee Memorial Health System, says ovarian cancer is an aggressive disease that’s usually found once it’s already at stage 3. “Unfortunately, there are about 14,000 deaths per year. It’s the second most common gynecologic malignancy; however it’s the most lethal.” But Dr. Sandadi says there’s no way to screen for it. “It’s a common misconception, women come in and say, but I had my pap smear every year, but that has nothing to do with ovarian cancer, that’s for cervical cancer.” Health experts say it’s important for women to be in tune with their bodies and be aware of symptoms like significant abdominal bloating that could last months, getting full easily, and weight gain or weight loss. “One of the most important things is family history. If there’s a significant family history of ovarian cancer or even breast cancer it heightens our senses about looking for this,” said Dr. Sandadi. Another important risk factor is age. “For the most part it’s a disease in post-menopausal women. It’s on the rare side to find it in someone who hasn’t gone through menopause,” said Dr. Sandadi. Like the cancer, the treatment is aggressive typically involving surgery and chemo therapy. “The general surgery is a hysterectomy, which means a removal of uterus and the cervix and a removal of both tubes and ovaries. The whole goal of the surgery is to get rid of all the cancer,” said Dr. Sandadi. After a four to five month treatment about 70 percent of cases are able to go into remission. Ovarian Cancer Alternative Treatments - Week 1

08:44
Someone close to me was recently diagnosed with ovarian cancer. Just a quick background: I am not suggesting, nor am I even close to implying that one should go straight to alternative therapies when facing a life-or-death situation. I think that the decision to go conventional and/or alternative is an individual's decision and no one should be pressured into going either way. In this case, we will be using conventional methods, supplemented by alternative methods. A radical hysterectomy may be necessary, as may chemo but, since seeing a specialist does take a few weeks, why not be proactive and use alternative therapies in the meantime — and even after the surgery? Loosely based on Dr Schulze's teachings: http://https://herbdocblog.com. I suggest starting with his book "There are No Incurable Diseases" (https://herbdocblog.com/book-view/2/). You can save a PDF and print the whole thing if you click on the ISUU icon on the bottom right. Regarding dandelion root, it's actually really good for the liver, and I gave it to my daughter when she was born with some jaundice. I made the tea and fed her a dropperful a few times per day. I also drank it and she benefited from it through my breastmilk. She was over jaundice in one day. What I was referring to was cradle cap, and I used a different tea for that. Dandelion root is amazing for many reasons. In summary, week one involved: The start of a 30-day juice fast, liver/gallbladder flush, detox tea and I'm also making a vegetable broth. The person who is doing this routine actually gained weight despite being on a liquid diet. Colour has returned to their face and meat is getting back on those bones. So far so good. P.S. — These are suggestions and anecdotal in nature. This is not intended to replace the advice of a professional.

Cancer Is a Laughing Matter | Karen Mills | TEDxChattanooga

17:41
Karen’s annual trip to the gynecologist started as an ordinary day. There was no reason to suspect that her checkup would be anything other than routine. Being a comedian, Karen had always looked for the humor in life and encouraged others to do the same; attitude, she’d told everyone, was everything. Her mantra was to stay positive and find the silver lining because humor was healing and laughter, the best medicine. Now, though faced with ovarian cancer, could Karen do more than talk the talk? Can cancer really be a laughing matter? Karen Mills has made a career out of making people laugh. She’s been a nationally touring comedian for 23 years and can be heard daily on Sirius/XM comedy channels. Diagnosed in 2013 after a routine checkup, Mills was determined to take on the disease with hope and humor. Her mission is to inspire people to love, laugh, and approach everything life hands you with a positive attitude. Now cancer-free, she has been hailed for her ability to bring humor and inspiration to difficult topics as she did recently when she spoke at the Ovarian Cancer National Alliance in Washington, D.C. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at http://ted.com/tedx

4 EARLY SYMPTOMS OF OVARIAN CANCER THAT EVERY WOMAN NEEDS TO KNOW

03:32

Talcum powder blamed for ovarian cancer; Ted Meadows talks to CBS News about Ristesund vedict

03:06
Beasley Allen lawyer Ted Meadows talked to CBS News about the recent $55 million jury verdict against Johnson & Johnson. Meadows has helped lead litigation against J&J alleging its talcum powder products increase the risk for ovarian cancer. In February, a City of St. Louis Circuit Court jury agreed that the company failed to warn consumers about this risk, and awarded the family of Plaintiff Jacqueline Fox $72 million following her death from ovarian cancer. The verdict included $10 million in actual damages and $62 million in punitive damages - $1 million for each year of Ms. Fox’s life, the jury in that case said. The most recent verdict, issued by another City of St. Louis Circuit Court jury on May 2, awarded Plaintiff Gloria Ristesund $55 million after they found the talc products were liable for causing her ovarian cancer. The verdict included $5 million in actual damages and $50 million in punitive damages. Meadows noted that punitive damages are intended to punish companies for wrongdoing, and to spur them to take corrective action. In these cases, Meadows said, Plaintiffs simply want the company to add a warning label to its talc-containing products warning of the ovarian cancer risk.
