Hi Cruisers, Today we take a quick look at Star Princess balcony stateroom A333. The Star Princess balcony room is quite comfortable for us, and has a surprising amount of storage. To see our cruise cabin organization of this same stateroom watch our video here: https://youtu.be/_apL2j7mCQc We were on this Star Princess cruise for 10 days and had no trouble keeping the cabin neat and organized. It's a common problem with a cruise ship cabin to run out of outlet for all your cruise gear. In this cruise cabin tour we give you a good look at all the outlets so you can plan accordingly. Of course the highlight of this cruise ship cabin tour is the balcony. Make sure you stick around until the end to see the beautiful balcony. This is a tour of a balcony room on the Crown Princess cruise ship (C255 - Caribe Deck 10). This video is a tour, not a review. We try not to provide opinions, and show what the space looks like. However, we must note that we were not impressed with this room. The bathroom was EXTREMELY small, the bed was very uncomfortable, and the room was not cleaned before we arrived (this was fixed shortly afterwards). We think that the Crown Princess needs a serious refurbishment. If you're interested in a review of the Crown, please view our review video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z8xuMsrq9fo

I know it is very hard to create and build these huge cruise ships. But, what were these ship builders thinking when they decided to go this route? These stateroom cabins are located on the Royal Princess. Which was first launched in June 2013. When you walk on the seawalk you can easily look on to the balconies and also into the staterooms. If your looking for a private stateroom then these are not for you. The staterooms numbers are M403, M407, M409, M411, M415, M417, M419, M423, M425, M427 on the Marina Deck. These staterooms are also effected on the Riviera Deck, R403, R407, R409, R415, R417, R421, R423, R427, R429 and R433. The decks Aloha and Baja with the same numbers are also lacking privacy but to a lesser extent.

What exactly is the difference between a regular balcony cabin and a mini-suite on the Coral Princess? This video will show you. We take a tour of cabins D419, a balcony cabin, and D417, a mini-suite. I've only sailed on the Coral Princess and Sapphire Princess, and the balcony cabins I've had on bother were nearly identical. So, I'm guessing that you can use this comparison to decide between balcony cabins and mini-suites on most of the ships in the Princess fleet... although possibly not the newest ships. In case you are wondering why my wife appears to be wearing one white shoe and one black shoe... the black one is actually an orthopedic boot. She had broken her foot before the cruise. Also, in case you are wondering why we don't seem to have any clothes or other items in our cabin... I shot this video before our luggage arrived.

A tour of cabin 4061 on the Viking Star cruise ship. This is a category DV4 Deluxe Verandah stateroom, which is the smallest type of cabin on Viking Ocean cruises. In the video, I give you an overall look at the cabin, the bathroom, and the balcony... as well as going in to some very specific details that you might not pick up on at first. We take a look at the number of electrical outlets, the unfortunate lack of storage, and the shower that's roomy enough for a romantic couple to enjoy together. I made a very poor choice of words in the video when I described the bed as a "double bed". It's actually a lot bigger than a double bed. It's two twins pushed together to create a King-sized bed. It was VERY comfortable. I also forgot to mention that the location of the cabin is excellent: mid-ship, between the forward and mid-ship elevators. The cabin was quiet, except for a slightly noisy air conditioning system. Other than that, this was a very quiet cabin with an excellent location. I do think that if/when I cruise with Viking Ocean cruises again, I will book a Penthouse Veranda cabin rather than a Deluxe Veranda cabin. The Penthouse Veranda cabins are slightly larger, and I bet they have more storage. With a Penthouse Veranda, there are also free alcoholic beverages in the refrigerator, and they are replenished daily. I do truly appreciate that Viking Ocean cruises allows you to carry your own alcohol onboard. It was fantastic to not have to smuggle rum onboard. It was much more convenient to just openly pack a bottle of rum in my suitcase without having to try to disguise it.

This was a short video of the room. We were on Deck 10 Cariebe deck. First off let me say the sound on my cam sucks atm, I dont know why so I apologize. Anyhow, I just wanted to show you our room we got to use on our 10 day Eastern Caribbean Medley. It was on April 23rd to May 3rd 2011. We really loved the room, the balcony was HUGE as its the biggest balconies they offer! I was skeptical at first about this room as it can be seen from up above but that really helps you get to know your neighbors and talk to them! I couldnt be more pleased!

Take a quick look at the Terrace Pool on the back of Deck 14 on the Ruby Princess. This "secret"-ish area is an adults-only pool, and you can notice that it is quiet, a sanctuary where you can relax and enjoy a nice view, especially of the ship's wake water trail. You can step right up the stairs and enter the Cafe Caribe buffet area. If you have a cabin on Deck 14, you can easily access this area through a door in the back.

This video offers a full tour of a Princess cruise ship interior stateroom as found on the Sapphire Princess. If you are booking this ship or its sister ship the Diamond Princess, then I'd highly recommend staying on the Lido deck 14. This deck is the same as a couple pools, several hot tubs, the buffet and offers quick and easy access to outside viewing. The Princess interior stateroom was comfortable, although was less adequate than the Royal Caribbean Allure of the Seas stateroom (see my other video tour of this). The Allure of the Seas room was probably about 30% larger and featured a couch and coffee table and a roomier shower. Perhaps I shouldn't compare though since the Allure is the largest cruise ship in the world and the Sapphire Princess is ranked 32nd on size. Anyways I had a great time on my Princess cruise. If you like this Princess cruise interior stateroom tour then please give this video a thumbs up!

A review of a long list of things that Viking Ocean Cruises got right with their cruise ship, The Viking Star... plus a much shorter list of some things that they got significantly wrong. The hits include a VERY uncrowded ship without any children onboard, lots of complementary extras that the other cruise lines would nickel and dime you for, and some delicious meals. The misses include two way-too-deep swimming pools with no shallow end, hot and humid conditions around the mid-ship pool when the overhead dome is closed, and a lack of entertainment options in the evenings, compared to cruising on a Mega cruise ship. Considering everything, this cruise does score a 9-out-of-10 for me, and only "The Haven" on Norwegian Cruise line seems to be in the same league as the luxury VIP experience I had during my 10 days on Viking Star.

MV Viking Star is the lead ship of the Viking Star-class of cruise ships, and the first such ship operated by Viking Ocean Cruises, a division of Viking Cruises. She entered service in April 2015. Two Viking Star-class sister ships, Viking Sea and Viking Sky, will join her in the Viking Ocean Cruises fleet in 2016. Full specifications: Class and type: Viking Star-class Type: Cruise ship Tonnage: 47,800 GT Length: 228 metres long Beam: 29 metres wide Draught: 6.3 metres Decks: 14 Propulsion: 2 azipods Speed: 20 knots Capacity: 930 passengers Crew: 602 crewmembers Viking Star was designed by SMC Design of London, while Rottet Studio in Los Angeles was engaged to design her interior. The vessel's modern Scandinavian design ties in with that of Viking Cruises' river cruisers, and was intended to mix onboard elegance with a focus on destinations. As a relatively small vessel, Viking Star is able to access most ports directly, and thus facilitate efficient and trouble-free embarkation and debarkation processes. She also has a hydro-dynamically optimised streamlined hull and bow for maximum fuel efficiency. The ship's first plate was cut on 7 June 2013 at the Fincantieri Marghera shipyard in Marghera, Italy. The plate cutting ceremony was attended, among others, by Torstein Hagen, founder and chairman of Viking. The keel was laid on 18 December 2013. Fincantieri launched Viking Star on 23 June 2014, about 20 days earlier than the previously announced launch date in mid-July. In October 2014, Viking Ocean Cruises announced that Norwegian seafarer Gulleik Svalastog had been appointed as the captain of Viking Star. Captain Svalastog had more than 45 years of experience in the maritime industry, and most recently he had served as a captain for Color Line. He had previously held a variety of senior ship management positions, including the roles of superintendent for Norwegian Cruise Line and Crystal Cruises, and lead auditor for Det Norske Veritas. His initial task as captain was to be a member of the team overseeing the final stage of Viking Star 's outfitting and interior build-out. In mid-December 2014, the ship successfully completed a week long period of sea trials in the Aegean Sea, during which she underwent more than 80 different tests. A variety of functions and systems were evaluated, including engine and propulsion performance, the navigation systems, and cabin acoustics. Viking Ocean Cruises took delivery of Viking Star at the shipyard on 28 March 2015. Public areas On board, Viking Star features 2 pools, the main pool and the Infinity Pool, a spa and a fitness center. She also has two restaurants, lounges, the piano lounge and the explorers lounge, the wintergarden, the aquavit terrace and the world cafe. Also, Viking Star has a sports deck, the star theatre and bar, the lobby bar and various shops. Accommodation Viking Star has five stateroom categories, all with private verandas, and 14 Explorer Suites. Up to 930 passengers can be accommodated in her 465 staterooms and suites, all of which are spacious for a cruise ship. The smallest staterooms are 25 m2 (270 sq ft) in size; the two-room suites range from 70.3 m2 (757 sq ft) to 134.5 m2 (1,448 sq ft) in area, and feature wrap-around private balconies offering sweeping views. Machinery The vessel is fitted with energy-efficient hybrid engines, and onboard solar panels and exhaust pollution-minimising equipment to enable her to meet strict environmental regulations. Her Compac propeller shaft bearings, manufactured by Thordon Bearings, are lubricated by seawater, which is recycled into the ocean. The use of seawater as a lubricant lowers in-service maintenance costs, by eliminating the requirement for an aft seal. The seawater lubricant also replaces expensive biodegradable oils, which, if used, would need to be stored, sampled and disposed of, and would also create a risk of accidental oil discharge. Entertainment facilities The theatre features live entertainment, as well as new-release films and some old favourites. Additionally, there are port talks and lectures from the on-board cultural enrichment programmes on art, history and culture. The lecture programme includes academic lecturers, local speakers and interactive demonstrations.
