Diffuse Patterned & Unpatterned Hair Loss Treatment

02:46
Both diffuse patterned (DPA) & unpatterned (DUPA) hair loss can be treated with medication, but only DPA can be corrected with surgical hair restoration. Bernstein Medical -- Center for Hair Restoration 110 East 55th Street, 11th Floor New York, NY 10022 212-826-2400 Visit our website: http://www.bernsteinmedical.com SUMMARY: Diffuse patterned hair loss (DPA) is characterized by hair loss (thinning) across the top of the scalp while the hair on the sides and back of the scalp remain intact. Because donor hair is taken from the sides and back of the scalp, those with a DPA hair loss pattern are often good candidates for surgical hair transplantation. Diffuse unpatterned hair loss (DUPA), on the other hand, is characterized by hair loss not only from the top of the head but also from the sides and back of the scalp. Because persons with DUPA hair loss have thinning on the sides and back, they are usually not good candidates for a hair transplant. DUPA is relatively uncommon in men but it is the most common type of hair loss in women. Both DPA and DUPA in men respond well to medical treatment using minoxidil and finasteride. Unfortunately, finasteride is not indicated for the treatment of hair loss in women. EDITED TRANSCRIPT: Genetic hair loss, or male pattern hair loss, also comes in a diffuse or more generalized form that we call diffuse patterned (DPA) and unpatterned hair loss (DUPA). Diffuse patterned hair loss (DPA) is a variant of typical, common male pattern hair loss. With DPA, we see even thinning across the top of the scalp with no hair loss from the back and sides of the head. Because the hair on the sides and back is permanent, those with a DPA hair loss pattern are good candidates for a hair transplant, and they are good candidates for medical therapy as well. Those with a DUPA hair loss pattern, on the other hand, lose hair not only from the top of the head but also from the back and sides. Because those with a DUPA hair loss pattern lose hair all over, there's no permanent hair to use for donor hair, and this makes them poor candidates for a hair transplant. In men, diffuse unpatterned hair loss (DUPA) is less common than DPA; perhaps only 5% of men with male pattern balding have DUPA. On the other hand, DUPA is the most common type of hair loss in women, and this is why women are not always good candidates for surgical hair restoration. We diagnose DUPA in men by looking for miniaturization or changes in hair diameter. In DUPA, we find changes in diameter not only on the top of the scalp but also on the sides. Diffuse unpatterned hair loss can be difficult to detect if someone is young because often this pattern of thinning does not become apparent until the late twenties. This is one of the reasons we don't do a hair transplant on someone young, because if you have DUPA, the back and sides become thin, the scars may become visible -- and that's whether you do FUT or FUE. Finally, the transplant hair will disappear because the donor hair from the back and sides is not really permanent. Both DPA and DUPA in men respond well to medical treatment using minoxidil and finasteride. Unfortunately, finasteride is not indicated for the treatment of hair loss in women.

4754 grafts. Hair Transplant by FUE Technique. Diffuse alopecia.

He started med's (finasteride) 8 months prior to the first procedure and we planned a reconstruction in two steps. Donor area with 50 micron of hair caliber and 2.3 hairs per follicular unit. The difficulty of the diffuse alopecia lies in the placement, taking advantage of the gaps between the native follicles, inserting grafts with the largest number of hairs, without making trauma. 3003 grafts were extracted in the first surgery (7173 hairs; 2.39 hairs/graft; 0.8 mm punch; 325FU1/ 1330FU2/ 1206FU3/ 140FU4/ 2FU5). 5 months after we carry out a second procedure for the crown with 1751 grafts (4224 hairs; 2.41 hairs/graft; 0.9 mm punch; 188FU1/ 766FU2/ 691FU3/ 109FU4/ 5FU5). How to treat Diffuse Alopecia in young men? - Dr. Aruna Prasad

01:10
Diffused alopecia means no hair absolutely in the full scalp and there are treatments like immunomodulators and immunosuppressants but they come with their own side effects but with the guidance of a dermatologist you can start them probably from 6 months 1 year if you take it, definitely there will be some improvement. We need to see why you have diffused alopecia we specially when you are young. So we need to investigate and see what are the other antibodies which are present in you and if there is auto antibody disorder you need I get your ANA profile done. You need to consult your dermatologist. It is not simple to get a diffused alopecia.

Telogen effluvium (TE) is the most common cause of diffuse hair loss in adult females. TE, along with female pattern hair loss (FPHL) and chronic telogen effluvium (CTE), accounts for the majority of diffuse alopecia cases. How I Got My Hair Back (Male Pattern Baldness)

05:04
My journey with Male pattern baldness, talking about hair transplants and hair loss medication like Finasteride. Please be smart before deciding to take medication, do the research and speak with a medical professional. This video is just sharing my experience, not encouraging you to do what I did. Please do not contact me through social media asking for help/ advice, I won't be responding to anyone as this video shows you everything you need to know and I'm not the one you should be asking advice from. The medication is called Finasteride. Even though I haven't had any side effects, there is cases of others having side effects, for more information I'd suggest a little Google search.

How Diffuse Female Pattern Hair Loss can be Treated, and Differentiating Hair Thinning from Shedding

New York hair restoration specialist Amiya Prasad, M.D. reviews her concerns in this video, and explains the importance of properly diagnosing the cause of hair loss, why hair shedding is not part of pattern hair loss, how diffuse hair thinning is part of pattern hair loss, and how a PRP combination with extracellular matrix has successfully treated diffuse female pattern hair loss since 2011: 1:11 — Dr. Prasad details his background training in cosmetic oculofacial plastic and reconstructive surgery, as well as his experience as a hair loss specialist and founder of TrichoStem™ Hair Regeneration Centers 2:03 — The difference between androgenetic alopecia and telogen effluvium 2:45 — How middle-aged women are more prone to chronic telogen effluvium 3:30 — How young women in their 20s and 30s can also have androgenetic alopecia 3:48 — The importance of biopsies to either confirm or differentiate conditions causing hair loss 4:22 — How the combination of extracellular matrix and PRP can thicken thinning hair 4:56 — The development of a classification system to treat different individuals for pattern hair loss 5:40 — How one injection of Hair Regeneration treatment can address female pattern hair loss 6:39 — How Hair Regeneration positively affects the hair growth cycle 7:00 — How improvements from Hair Regeneration can be seen in as early as 3-6 months 7:16 — The benefit of a possible booster injection at 15-24 months 7:30 — How Hair Regeneration can sustain results for as long as 5 years 7:41 — How Hair Regeneration treatment can help people of a wide range of ages & clinical profiles 8:02 — How the effectivity of PRP is dependent on the individual and their response to treatment 8:44 — The importance of experience in the use of PRP and extracellular matrix for hair loss treatment 9:32 — Dr. Prasad further highlights the difference between androgenetic alopecia and telogen effluvium 10:32 — Dr. Prasad’s recommendation CONNECT WITH US! Pattern Thinning Hair is not Hair Loss

02:34
Pattern Thinning Hair is not Hair Loss http://www.hair-loss-treatments.com.au/ http://www.brisbanehairloss.com.au/ http://www.hair-loss-sydney.com.au/ info@absolique.com.au This is so misunderstood universally. It is a specific pattern of thinning documented throughout the decades, and has a distinct pattern that so happens to effect at the front, top, crown and recessions of the hair, right in front of where you can see you hair, right where the light will hit your hair and scalp and right at the most important area of hair on your head that frames your face. Female Pattern Thinning and Male Pattern Thinning are not hair loss! The use of the words ‘Hair Loss’ are misinterpreted, one my think because the hair is visually thinning, that the hair is falling out. When I put the question to my clients, the answers are confused, because most don’t understand the difference between hair loss and hair thinning, especially when it relates to ‘Pattern Thinning’. Pattern Thinning Hair is not Hair Loss: • Pattern thinning causes hairs to shrink • Normal terminal hairs will gradually shrink to transitional hairs • Transitional hairs will gradually shrink to vellus hairs • Vellus hairs will gradually be empty follicles • Pattern thinning can be prevented naturally • Pattern thinning is not hair loss, the hair does not fall out, it gradually shrinks What we teach you through microscopic diagnosis is how to understand the difference between hair loss as in hair actually falling out and hair thinning diffusely compared to pattern thinning. For most people what they think is happening, the pattern thinning, is actually more of a diffuse thinning happening all over the head, but only noticed at the front. In most cases the diffuse problem when corrected at a cellular level, and combining with the topical natural hair loss solutions we offer, the pattern thinning can be overcome without any direct treatment. Pattern Thinning is caused by DHT (dihydrotestosterone) and is part of every human body’s integumentary system. It is actually responsible for your body hair! DHT can be triggered to attach to the hair bulb receptors by hereditary, hormonal, and environmental and these days free radical damage. Once again this is not hair loss as in hair falling out. If you do not have a distinct hereditary pattern for your age then you need to investigate your hair cellular function and if your hair cycle has been disturbed, to weaken the immune system of the cell to allow the DHT in or if your health and gut immunity are compromised and allowing free radicals and environmental factors take effect on your health. An easy check in is through pH testing, knowing your pH will teach you what your body is doing or not doing. pH is an insight to all that is working or not working in your body and must be known and understood to take natural DHT blockers, antioxidants and nutritional supplements that may be recommended for cellular health through nutrition. Hair Thinning, Balding & Bald Spots: My Alopecia Story

16:33
Cindi asked what my backstory was, and I realize that I never discussed it in its entirety! I present to you my hair thinning & alopecia story. :) Learn more on the blog: https://cornerofhopeandmane.com/ Generally, my hair thinning is pretty diffuse throughout as I have androgenetic alopecia (also called androgenic alopecia). This type of alopecia differs from others as it typically presents as overall thinning, with a concentration an inch or two back from the forehead. Usually the immediately hairline stays intact--but still thin. So, my main bald spot is right in that area...right where my sunglasses might hit if they were propped up on my head. What's next for me and my hair thinning and hair loss? Who knows. For right now, I wear hair toppers are my solution of choice, but I imagine as my balding progresses (such a tough word as a woman) I'll eventually shave my hair off fully and wear full wigs all the time.

Treating Diffuse Hair Loss in Men - Why Transplants Can't be Done, and Better Treatment than PRP

09:13
More on Hair Regeneration: http://nyhairloss.com/hair-regeneration-photos/ For more about Dr. Prasad's training and background, please go to: http://nyhairloss.com/about-us/ A 26-year-old male with diffuse hair loss says the dermatologist he saw said he is not a candidate for a hair transplant, so she suggested platelet-rich plasma (PRP) treatment for him. He asks if PRP is the right treatment for him, and if there are any side effects. He also states he does not want to use Propecia (finasteride) or minoxidil (Rogaine) due to possible side effects. He also asks if he has telogen effluvium. New York hair restoration specialist Amiya Prasad, MD reviews this man’s questions and photos in this video, and agrees that a hair transplant is not right for his age, and discusses treatment options right for his age and for diffuse hair loss: 1:50 - Dr. Prasad’s experience with hair transplants, and his founding of treatment centers using a non-surgical hair loss solution he discovered that includes PRP as part of the formulation 2:25 - Dr. Prasad’s promotion and use of PRP for other cosmetic treatments outside of hair loss treatment 3:05 - Why he likely has male pattern hair loss apparent in his pictures, and telogen effluvium is a cause of temporary hair loss, and grows back after a period of stress 3:50 - Why refusal to take finasteride (Propecia) from the equation removes a male pattern hair loss treatment that works in 60% of men 4:20 - How Dr. Prasad first used PRP and extracellular matrix to help maximize hair transplant healing and graft survival, and heal the donor area that’s the source of hair grafts, but the side effect was thinning hair became thicker 4:55 - How Dr. Prasad developed a system and process using platelet-rich plasma and extracellular matrix to replace the need for hair transplants for people with thinning hair 5:21 - Examples of how the Hair Regeneration treatment has stopped hair loss progression in patients by thickening their thinning hair, and reactivate the growth process in hair that stopped growing 5:35 - How Hair Regeneration fills a void between limited treatments like pills (finasteride), minoxidil, and PRP injections, and surgical hair transplantation that doesn’t stop more hair from being lost 5:56 - Why Dr. Prasad agrees with his dermatologist that a hair transplant in diffuse hair loss will cause trauma that leads to loss of adjacent native hair 6:09 - Why a young man in his 20s with hair loss progression will lose more hair than can be transplanted from the limited donor area 6:24 - Examples of the Hair Regeneration treatment on young men from around the world 6:52 - Why PRP alone may stimulate short-term hair growth, but does not stop hair loss progression 7:02 - How Hair Regeneration has proved in many patients over the years that it can stop hair loss, and regrow hair that is salvageable 7:18 - The limits of Hair Regeneration not being able to bring back hair in bald-smooth areas present for more than 5 years, and why the earlier treatment is done, the better the results 7:43 - How more than 99% of male patients, and over 90% of female patients with hair thinning have had Hair Regeneration work for them CONNECT WITH US! Female Pattern Baldness and Hair Loss in Women

02:16
Female pattern hair loss (FPHL) has also been called androgenetic alopecia, male pattern baldness in women, and diffuse alopecia. FPHL is a common condition, affecting up to 50% of women. It presents as hair thinning, mainly on the crown, but sometimes also affecting the parietal, posterior vertex and bitemporal areas. There is relative preservation of hair density on the occipital scalp. The frontal hairline is usually preserved. There is often accentuation of the thinning in the midline, just posterior to the frontal hairline (Christmas tree pattern). Rarely, there is deep bitemporal notching and frontal recession similar to male balding. This pattern of thinning in a woman suggests possible hyperandrogenism. FPHL can occur anytime after puberty, however there are two peaks of onset, in a woman’s 20′s and her mid to late 40′s. FPHL can also occur in association with hormonal changes such as post-partum and perimenopausally. In my experience, the most common time of onset is mid to late 40′s, often in association with other signs of impending menopause. A patient with FPHL often complains of being able to see her scalp, experiencing sunburn on the scalp for the first time or a decreased hair density, particularly affecting the crown. Most patients perceive that their hair loss is occurring in a pattern with sparing of the occipital region although some patients feel that the hair loss is diffuse.

Diffuse Hair Loss & The Hair Cycle

02:52
Diffuse Hair Loss and The Hair Cycle http://www.hair-loss-treatments.com.au/ http://www.brisbanehairloss.com.au/ http://www.hair-loss-sydney.com.au/ info@absolique.com.au The physical hair you see and style on a daily basis is the result of a complex cellular function. The hair constantly grows from cellular division, and like the nails, has many different structures and function associated that deliver the end result, a hardened, keratinized hair growing from the scalp. There are many things that can go wrong with the cellular division supporting hair growth, the strength of the hair bulb and also the strength and structure of the actual hair follicle. The hair bulb is the lock that holds the hair in and is made of the same substance that hold your teeth in. The hair follicle houses the hair as it transitions from a soft cell to a hardened hair and has many associated appendages. Diffuse Hair Loss and The Hair Cycle, The Hair Bulb and The Hair Shaft: • Hair grows from cellular division • The hair bulb is similar to the root of our teeth • The hair follicle houses the hair • Hair follicle has a muscle and oil gland attached • Keratinization is the final process to produce a hardened hair at scalp level When there are changes, highs or lows in the body, if can affect the health of the cell when it divides at the very beginning of the hair growth process. This won’t appear in the hair until three months later and only at cellular level at this time. When the hair cell does not get all that is required, it does not copy your genetic hair code, so the hair still grows in most cases, but in certain situations such as common iron and ferritin deficiency related to oxygen, the hair may even remain dormant. The result is always diffuse, thank goodness, it does not affect every hair on the head, it is a diffuse thinning of the hair all over the scalp, once again, not in a pattern or patches as can occur with pattern thinning and autoimmune hair and scalp problems. Both pattern hair thinning and autoimmune hair and scalp problems are in most cases secondary to the hair cell health at the cellular level which is a direct result of body health. Hair is important and part of our bodies integumentary system, the largest system in the body, but hair is not directly essential for life. The bodies essential organs and systems will always receive the nutrition required for cellular health first. When there are problems with the hair, such as hair loss or hair thinning, it is a sign that things are not quite right within the body, so don’t ignore the signs and contact Absolique Trichologist to help with your hair and in turn health. Top 5 Tips for reversing Telogen Effluvium Hair Loss and diffuse hair loss

05:16
The cause of Telogen Effluvium hair loss has nothing to do with DHT and everything to do with energy metabolism. Managing this, cortisol levels, and addressing the original trigger is key to halting and reversing Telogen Effluvium or diffuse hair loss. In this video we go over 5 proven tips that you should be utilizing to reverse Telogen Effluvium and keep your hair from shedding any further while you address the original trigger. 1. Supplementing with a strong B-complex is key to getting the energy metabolism to work correctly again. We recommend taking Thorne complex once daily. http://www.iherb.com/thorne-research-b-complex-12-60-veggie-caps/18126?rcode=gsv403 2. Stress and anxiety play a very significant role in diffuse thinning hair loss and telogen effluvium. Supplementing with Ashwaganda on a daily basis can help bring your cortisol levels down until you are able to get the stress levels under control. We recommend Jarrows Ashwaganda. Take once daily. http://www.iherb.com/jarrow-formulas-ashwagandha-300-mg-120-veggie-caps/3302?rcode=gsv403 3. Eating a diet rich in omega-3 fats and low in omega-6 fats is the very best way to reverse chronic inflammation damage and return our bodies to a state of balance. Taking an omega-3 supplement every day should help speed your recovery along even more. We recommend Now's Krill oil. http://www.iherb.com/now-foods-neptune-krill-oil-500-mg-60-softgels/14424?rcode=gsv403 4. Use a topical aid to boost your hair and help alleviate the shedding until you get your body hormones under control. Make sure to avoid Rogaine and opt for a natural product formulated specifically for telogen effluvium. We wholly endorse Nature Crazy's All Natural Daily and Nightly hair treatment. https://naturecrazy.com/products/telogen-effluvium-treatment-bundle 5. You can probably pick out shampoo faster than it takes you to read our recommendations, but accidently snagging a bad one can strip your hair of protective oils, cause breakage, and even contribute to hair loss which means choosing one with no sulfates or parabens. If you’re wondering what a good shampoo is anything with essential oils or coconut oil. We also wholly endorse and recommend Nature Crazy's Just Really Thick Hair Excellence. https://naturecrazy.com/products/just-really-thick-hair-daily-shampoo https://naturecrazy.com/products/just-really-thick-hair-conditioner Get more cutting edge hair and health tips on https://naturecrazy.com/

Treating Diffuse Hair Loss in Women Despite Limits of Hair Transplants, PRP, and Minoxidil

New York hair restoration specialist Amiya Prasad, MD reviews her question and images, explaining the benefits and limits of PRP and minoxidil, and what can be done to treat diffuse female pattern hair loss: 0:58 - Dr. Prasad’s background and experience, and founding of a non-surgical hair restoration treatment center for men and women as a hair transplant alternative 1:49 - How minoxidil started out as a blood pressure medication, but had a side effect of hair growth 2:11 - Minoxidil for women is currently a topical solution for women with 2% and 5% concentrations 2:21 - Minoxidil prolongs the hair growth cycle of thinning hair, but does not stop hair loss progression 2:31 - How PRP alone can stimulated short-term spurts of hair growth, but does not sustain long-term improved hair growth 3:07 - How Dr. Prasad uses PRP in his practice for scar treatment, hollowness and under eye circles, wrinkles, and skin rejuvenation 3:25 - How Dr. Prasad combines platelet-rich plasma with extracellular matrix for his Hair Regeneration non-surgical hair loss treatment, which was originally used to improve healing of hair transplants, increase survival of hair grafts, and heal the donor area where hair grafts are taken from 3:48 - How it was discovered that the treatment can stop the progression of hair thinning, reactivate hairs that weren’t growing, and have thinning hair grow back thicker instead of thinner in every growth cycle 4:10 - How Dr. Prasad has followed patient progress every three months over the five years doing the treatment, finding that over 90% of women with pattern hair loss have experienced visible improvement 4:30 - Prior to the Hair Regeneration treatment, only treatments available for women were minoxidil and hair transplant surgery 4:46 - How hair transplants in women with diffuse hair loss puts nearby native hairs at risk of being lost from the trauma of transplant surgery, and how a lot of hair is needed to create hair density 5:28 - How the Hair Regeneration treatment doesn’t destroy existing thinning hair, rather it thickens them to create more hair coverage than a transplant 5:34 - How PRP treatment alone is not enough to treat hair loss, and patients have reported the difficulty and lack of efficacy of monthly PRP injections that don’t have no end goal 6:08 - How the Hair Regeneration injection treatment is done only once, with patients’ progress measured every three months, and a possible second injection for some patients with advanced hair loss to build on progress in 12-15 months 6:30 - How all patients are followed up every three months with microscopic examination and digital photography to monitor progress 6:48 - How most women see progress from 9-12 months after treatment, but see short hairs growing in the frontal hairline in the first few months 7:17 - How it is difficult to see from this lady’s photos if she really has significant hair loss, so a proper evaluation is necessary to diagnose pattern hair loss 7:35 - It is common for women to experience telogen effluvium, which is a temporary, stress-related hair loss CONNECT WITH US! Nature Crazy's Top 8 Tips For Reversing Female Pattern Hair Loss

07:32
Female pattern hair loss can be halted and fully reversed but the key is getting to the root cause of the problem as opposed to treating the symptoms. 1. Consider supplementing with natural progesterone as most women suffering from chronic hair loss have a deficiency of Progesterone. It’s important to understand that Progesterone acts as a precursor for many other important hormones in the body and a drop in its production will cause a spike in cortisol, the stress hormone. Applying between 15 to 20 milligrams of a high-quality progesterone cream will help correct androgen related female hormone imbalances. 2. Consider supplementing with Iodine every day. Many people suffering from female hair loss have an undiagnosed thyroid problem and low and/or heightened levels of thyroid hormones can result in diffuse hair loss. For example, T4 lengthens the Anagen hair growth phase and down regulates growth factor-beta2 in the hair follicle which is extremely important for hair growth. Taking Iodine will help optimize thyroid function which will normalize hyper androgenicity in the hair follicle. We recommend a quality brand. 3. The third exclusive tip we'd like to share with you is utilizing Ecklonia Cava which is one of the most multifaceted supplements you can add to your routine. It can stimulate hair growth, prevent hair follicle death, and research has also found that the enzyme responsible for hair and skin follicle degradation, Matrix Metallopretianse-9, is greatly inhibited by Ecklonia Cava. And last but certainly not least it even helps improve blood pressure and circulation which can aid in the condition of your health and hair. We recommend taking two a day, one in the morning and another at night. 4. The fourth recommendation is taking an Omega-3 fatty acid supplement every day. Specific hormones, called prostaglandins, can slow hair follicle growth and when left unchecked greatly contribute to hair loss by allowing another hormone called interleukin 6 to shorten the anagen hair growth stage and extend the catagen hair sleeping stage. Using an Omega-3 supplement on a daily basis helps to suppress this inflammatory prostaglandin which is a direct response to DHT. Additionally, Omega-3 provides important health benefits to the cardiovascular system, the immune system, supports healthy growth and development, and reduces inflammation. We recommend taking Krill Oil twice a day which is an excellent choice for getting the right amount of Omega-3 in the diet. 5. Stress and anxiety play a very significant role in diffuse thinning and female pattern hair loss. The simplest way to look at it is the more stressed you are the more cortisol rises, and everything become more sensitive with respect to androgen receptors. Inflammation becomes harder to combat, and a slurry of defenses are left unchecked and of little help against normal inflammation. So the next step is to get your cortisol levels under control. Supplementing with Ashwaganda on a daily basis can help bring the cortisol levels down until you are able to get the stress levels under control. 6. A very high percentage of females who suffer from polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) are allergic to wheat/gluten. Wheat/gluten causes a sustained elevation in blood glucose and insulin levels, which translates into chronic inflammation, upregulation of the gene Dickkoff-1 (which happens to drive DHT induced balding). Make sure to start eating a healthier diet that avoids gluten. 7. It’s always critical to use a topical aid to boost your hair and help alleviate the shedding until you get your body hormones under control. Your diet and the supplements help your body from the inside out, and an effective topical directly addresses the scalp and hair from another front. Avoid chemical based products such as Minoxidil and opt for a natural topical that does not create dependent hairs but rather stimulates and aids hair growth in a natural way In this case, we wholly endorse Nature Crazy’s Daily And Nightly Hair Tonic’s. https://naturecrazy.com/products/all-natural-telogen-effluvium-daily-scalp-tonic https://naturecrazy.com/products/all-natural-telogen-effluvium-nightly-scalp-tonic 8. Accidently snagging a bad shampoo can strip your hair of protective oils, cause breakage, and even contribute to hair loss which means choosing one with no sulfates or parabens. In this case, we also wholly endorse and recommend Nature Crazy’s daily shampoo and conditioner. https://naturecrazy.com/products/just-really-thick-hair-daily-shampoo https://naturecrazy.com/products/just-really-thick-hair-conditioner [1] https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/1832134 [2] https://academic.oup.com/jcem/article-lookup/doi/10.1210/jc.2008-0283 [3] https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/24252083 [4] https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/21881585 [5] https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/27538002 [6] https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3122153/

Hair Loss Treatment for Men, Early Onset Pattern Thinning

02:20
Hair Loss Treatment for Men, Early Onset Pattern Thinning http://www.hair-loss-treatments.com.au/ http://www.brisbanehairloss.com.au/ http://www.hair-loss-sydney.com.au/ info@absolique.com.au There is a typical pattern of hair thinning that historically can cause gradual men’s baldness. This is a dominant hereditary trait and is a gradual pattern of hair thinning. Pattern hair thinning is not actual hair loss. Hair loss is related to health, the hair cell and the hair cycle. Treating hair loss as pattern thinning will not deliver a result. Hair loss related to the hair cycle is diffuse, all over the scalp. Diffuse hair loss can expose pattern hair thinning that was happening gradually in the background. Pattern hair thinning occurs at the top, front, recessions and crown of the head. Typically, men experiencing hair loss misinterpret if for the pattern hair thinning because its right there in front of your eyes. Checking in on the terminal area away from pattern hair thinning locations can uncover the reality of the problem. Hair Loss Treatment for Men, Early Onset Pattern Thinning: • Male pattern hair thinning is a gradual pattern of hair thinning • Men’s pattern hair thinning is not actual hair loss • Hair loss occurs three months after the cause • Hair loss is normally diffuse • Hair loss in patches is alopecia areata Changes in the body, highs, lows, illness, medications, surgery and much more, can trigger hair loss three months after the event. Finding the cause is the key. If hair loss has uncovered pattern hair thinning there are simple things that can be introduced, but, won’t work if the cause of the hair loss is left uncovered or unattended. Hereditary pattern hair thinning has a hereditary age of onset. If pattern hair thinning is happening to you at a much younger age than family history, it could be ‘Early Onset Pattern Hair Thinning’. This commonly follows hair loss but is also related to hormonal and environmental exposure to xenoestrogens which are mimicking our own hormones. If you are concerned about hair loss or pattern hair thinning it is best to get a correct diagnosis quickly. Sometimes simply helping you to understand the cause is all we need to do to help you. Why Hair Transplants are Ineffective in Female Pattern Hair Loss, & How Hair Thickening Works

09:08
A 35-year-old female was diagnosed with thyroid disease 3 years ago post partum. Her disease is now regulated but her hair has not recovered, even though it has been over a year. She wants to know if she is a candidate for a hair transplant. Dr. Amiya Prasad, a specialist in hair restoration, says that the photos this woman submitted are what many women notice if they have hair loss - the widening of the part. Unfortunately, there are limited options when it comes to female hair loss and these options have to be properly evaluated before a person makes a fully informed decision. He advises not do the transplant at this time. In male pattern hair loss, there is the recession of the temples, expanding crown, a bald spot area and eventually the areas meeting in the middle and progressing. With women, that hair loss pattern tends to be more diffuse. Hormonal issues also play a big role in hair loss for women. Lastly, genetics can also be major factor for female pattern hair loss. In Dr. Prasad's practice, one of the things that he found particularly frustrating in transplanting in women is there's very small space between the hairs. In contrast to male pattern hair loss, an area can be smooth and bald and when he places the grafts, he's going through skin that doesn't have existing hair. Even if he places grafts between existing hairs, there is often very large gaps so he's not shocking the existing hair. He routinely uses a microscope in his examinations with hair. When he looks at women's hair that is thinning, the space between the hairs is often very limited. So even if he places a hair in between, she may lose one or two existing hairs from stress, also known as shock loss (telogen effluvium). Sometimes, even if the stress is over, they may not get back all the hair that you lost. Dr. Prasad has been developing a method of treatment for female pattern hair loss called Hair Regeneration. This is a treatment using platelet-rich plasma combined with a wound healing material called extracellular matrix (ECM) by ACell. When ECM was used for hair transplant procedures to heal donor scars, it was noted that thin hairs became thicker. This is based on a wound healing mechanism that restores native stem cell activity that restores hair growth so it becomes thicker. In addition, it turns out that the thinned hairs that regenerate into thickened hair also comes back darker. Dr. Prasad treats male and female pattern hair loss, as well as conditions such as alopecia areata with Hair Regeneration treatment. He does the Hair Regeneration treatment to 99% of his female patients rather than a hair transplantation, with the exception being a loss in the frontal hairline. If there is a loss of frontal hairline, then a hair transplantation makes a lot of sense. But if there is diffuse thinning, he would first do an evaluation, examination, review of hormonal status and a proper medical work-up to eliminate all other factors. In some cases, he would even do a biopsy in order to ensure that there is no scarring issue going on concurrently. A lot of patients that come to him have already done that groundwork by going to doctors locally or to major universities to make sure there are no underlying issues causing their hair loss. Pattern Hair Thinning is not the same as physical Hair Loss

02:47
Pattern Hair Thinning is not the same as physical Hair Loss http://www.hair-loss-treatments.com.au/ http://www.brisbanehairloss.com.au/ http://www.hair-loss-sydney.com.au/ info@absolique.com.au Hair thinning is not visual hair loss. Hair thinning can be diffuse or in patterns. The typical pattern thinning is female pattern thinning and male pattern thinning. Female pattern thinning and male pattern thinning will only ever effect the top, front, recessions, crown and or sides of the head. Pattern hair thinning is not diffuse, and is not hair loss. Pattern thinning is caused by DHT, dihydrotestosterone. DHT has a function in the body which is responsible in part for the function of the integumentary system. Our integumentary system is our skin system, this is a little important as it holds us together and is our outer protection and antennae to the outside world. Pattern Hair Thinning is not the same as physical Hair Loss: • Pattern thinning is not hair actually falling out • Female pattern thinning is always in a typical pattern of hair thinning • Male pattern thinning is always in a typical pattern of hair thinning • DHT causes pattern thinning • Diffuse hair thinning is the most common cause of hair thinning over the entire scalp • Diffuse hair thinning will drive pattern thinning to move faster DHT is not bad, as mentioned, it has a very important role in the body, plus it is also a precursor to other enzyme reactions responsible for some body hormones. All hormones are part of the Endocrine System. Most functions in the body are controlled by a specific system but these intricate systems can also overlap in function and requirements. With female pattern thinning and male pattern thinning, DHT is triggered to bind to the Androgen receptor of the hair bulbs only in the pattern thinning area. The triggers are hereditary, hormonal, environmental and the free radical effect. These days most of us have more than one trigger. Typically pattern thinning was predominant in men because it is a dominate gene, whether it is from mother’s side or fathers side, if you inherit it, you have the tendency. For women the gene is recessive, meaning you need to inherit from both mother and father and normally combined with a hormonal influence. These days with all the other influences, any one of us can find ourselves with female pattern thinning or male pattern thinning because we are all exposed to the hormonal, environmental and free radical effect exposure of modern society. We can learn where these influences come from and avoid them but we also need protect ourselves by ensuring our immune systems are functioning at optimal, our body storage of essential nutrients are always at full tank. On top of that we can use the power of modern technology and take the most natural and potent antioxidants to protect all of our bodies cells not only our hair. I must mention here how important it is to check in on your hair cycle if you notice pattern thinning. If the hair cell is compromised then the immune system of that cell will not have all its soldiers in place, so this DHT can come in with no army to fight. As a modern Trichologist I am seeing this all the time with early onset female pattern thinning and early onset male pattern thinning. Diffuse hair loss and diffuse hair thinning are the major drivers of early onset pattern thinning. Understanding hair and health history, meaning has your genetic hair type changed? Has health influenced this? Contact Absolique Hair Health Clinic Trichologist for more information on Pattern Hair Thinning is not the same as physical Hair Loss. 5 Facts You Should Know about Natural Hair Loss Before Your Hair Transplant Surgery by Joe Tillman

SUBSCRIBE!!! https://www.youtube.com/c/Hairtransplantmentor?sub_confirmation=1 https://www.hairtransplantmentor.com/ Five facts you didn't know about hair loss and the Norwood Hair loss chart. This is Hair Transplant Class #8. I know the Norwood scale isn't exactly an exciting subject but discussing the Norwood hair loss scale will help you lay the foundation for the rest of this hair transplant class series. You have to understand the basics of hair loss and hair transplantation and restoration if you hope to be as well versed in the subject as possible. TOP 3 Treatments for Androgenetic Alopecia Women

05:32
Androgenetic Alopecia Women tips and info. Androgenetic alopecia women reversible and natural treatment guide. If you looking for androgenetic alopecia women natural treatment, you come to the right place. Here you can find 3 treatments for androgenetic alopecia remale treatment, traction alopecia and telogen effluvium. Over 20 million women in the United States alone, are suffering from some type of hair loss. This does not take into account the rest of the world, and a little less than half are under 40 years of age. The emotional effects of hair loss range from anxiety and depression, to frustration and poor self-esteem. Fortunately there are more options available now, to help slow down and even reverse hair loss in women. The majority of women with androgenetic - also called androgenic - alopecia have diffuse thinning on all areas of the scalp. (Men rarely have diffuse thinning but instead have more distinct patterns of baldness.) Some women have a combination of two pattern types. The most important step in the search for answers is to educate yourself. Being proactive both in your research of treatments, and in communication with your doctor, are extremely important. Unlike male hair loss, female hair loss many times doesn't have a straight-forward cause. As a result, treating it can be a more complex process. If you are reading this guide, you are experiencing the various forms of thinning hair or hairline recession seen in some women. What it Looks Like: Women who have androgenetic alopecia (AGA) usually have increased thinning or diffuse hair loss all over. It is most noticeable at the part line and top area just behind the bangs, while often maintaining the front hairline. Female pattern baldness is measured with the Ludwig Scale, as seen below, ranging from 1, 2 and 3, with varying degrees inbetween. How Androgenetic Alopecia in Women Works : Androgenetic Alopecia causes the follicles become sensitive to hormones, or androgens that already exist within your body. Within those follicles are androgen receptors. The androgens (hormones) tell the androgen receptors to produce less hair. Consequently, growing cycles are shortened while hair becomes thinner and finer. While there is no loss of the actual follicle, eventually hair production can stop altogether. How does this happen? An enzyme known as 5 alpha-reductase exists in the follicle. When the hormone (typically testosterone) binds to the androgen receptor. it triggers 5-alpha reductase to convert that testosterone into something called DHT. Its the DHT which plays the most active role in damaging hair production. This is why "inhibiting DHT" is such a big catch-phrase in hair loss circles. That, and "anti-androgens". Things which inhibit DHT, or work against this androgen process, are considered legitimate hair loss treatments. Treatments for Women with Androgenetic Alopecia : 1. Growth Stimulants Growth stimulants kickstart new hair growth despite whatever is truly causing your hair loss. Whether you are losing hair because of a thyroid imbalance, recent pregnancy, or any other reason, growth stimulants can work around those causes and stimulate new growth. Some examples of growth stimulants we recommend: Tricomin Therapy Spray: This is one of the most popular treatments for women with thinning hair, and has been around for over a decade. Highly recommended. 2. Anti-inflammatories While Antiandrogens block the hormonal activity in your scalp, Anti-inflammatories play an incredibly important role in calming the *environment* of your scalp. This is imperative for the two treatments (above) to work effectively. Inflammation is an extremely common biproduct of thinning hair, and can literally double the speed at which you lose hair. Calming that inflammation is probably the most important aspect of hair loss treatment. 3. Combining all Three Combining a growth stimulant, antiandrogen, and anti-inflammatory shampoo will double your chances of success. You not only kick start new growth, but you also block the cause, and create a non-inflamed environment for the products to work. The three classes of treatments work synergistically, and complement eachother perfectly. So while you are coordinating an appointment with your physician, and obtaining your necessary bloodwork, we encourage you to begin on a treatment regimen immediately. androgenetic alopecia women reversible, androgenetic alopecia women treatment, androgenetic alopecia women natural treatment, androgenetic alopecia women symptoms, androgenetic alopecia women pictures, telogen effluvium, androgenetic alopecia female treatment, traction alopecia,

What causes hair loss?

00:27
In men, Male Pattern Baldness (androgenetic alopecia) is usually a genetic predisposition. In women, patterns of loss are different and often more diffuse. It actually takes a loss of over 50% of hair in a given area before it may be perceived as thinning. Hair may become “miniaturized”, it may shift into dormant phase rather than an active growth phase from hormones, stress, or harsh chemicals. Additionally, conditions that cause tension on the hair, such as tightly braiding or securing hair away from scalp creates – “traction alopecia” causing breakage and loss. Some of these conditions can be treated medically with either or both ingested and topical medications. That may be suggested prior to your hair transplantation surgery to promote the best possible outcome. Your physician takes into account the progression of the hair loss and any medical conditions before creating a surgical and treatment plan for hair transplantation.
