6 Herbs For Treating Erectile Dysfunction | ED Natural Treatment

04:29
http://bit.ly/edreverser11 6 Herbs for Treating Erectile Dysfunction | ED Natural Treatment Erectile dysfunction is a condition that affects a man's ability to achieve or maintain an erection suitable for sex. Home Remedies - Mayo Clinic The condition can affect men at any age, but according to the American Academy of Family Physicians, erectile dysfunction (ED) is most common when a man is 75 years or older. Many herbs show potential to be effective in improving men's sexual function, but little evidence actually exists to support the use of any herbal medication in the treatment of ED. People should always exercise caution when taking any form of herbal supplementation. 1.- Dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA) DHEA is a supplement that mimics a natural steroid hormone in the body and may help treat ED in men. Natural DHEA levels subside as a person ages. Increasing the amount of adrenal hormone may help the body create hormones that improve sexual functions as well as energy levels. Dietary Supplements For Erectile Dysfunction 2.- Horny goat weed (epimedium) This Chinese herb has been used to reduce the causes associated with sexual dysfunction, including erectile dysfunction. Researchers do not know the exact mechanism by which the supplement works. But scientists believe it alter the levels of certain hormones in the body, which may in turn improve sexual performance. 3.- Ginkgo Ginkgo biloba is an herb that practitioners have used for thousands of years to treat a number of health conditions. Examples include dementia, anxiety, and poor blood flow to the brain. Proponents of taking ginkgo for erectile dysfunction believe ginkgo dilates blood vessels to promote blood flow to the sexual organs. Ginkgo has been used to treat many health conditions. Some believe it may improve blood flow to the male sexual organs. Ginkgo can increase the risk for bleeding, and people who take blood thinners should not take it. Other side effect risks include nausea, headache, stomach upset, and mouth irritation. Herbs For Impotence 4.- L-arginine L-arginine is an amino acid that scientists in the 1800s first isolated from animal horn. It is incorporated into supplements to increase the amount of nitric oxide in the body. When taken in high doses, l-arginine can stimulate blood vessels to become larger. This improves blood flow, which could help a man get an erection Side effects of taking l-arginine can include stomach upset, including cramping and diarrhea. The supplement can also adversely interact with taking the medication Viagra. Dietary Supplements For Erectile Dysfunction 5.- Red ginseng Ginseng is an herb that Korean herbal practitioners promote for its ability to treat erectile dysfunction. Another name for red ginseng is Panax ginseng. Herbs For Impotence There are several theories as to why red ginseng might help treat erectile dysfunction. More research is required to support these theories. Researchers aren't exactly sure how red ginseng reduces erectile dysfunction symptoms. One theory is that it influences hormones responsible for achieving an erection. Another is that it promotes blood flow through increasing the amount of nitric oxide. 6.- Yohimbine Yohimbine is a supplement made from the bark of an African tree. Before medications such as Viagra, doctors often recommended yohimbine as a treatment for ED. Yohimbine works by triggering receptors in the body that trigger the release of the hormones epinephrine and norepinephrine. These can block the effects of other compounds that may otherwise constrict the blood vessels in the penis. Taking this supplement is associated with many side effects. Examples include high blood pressure, rapid heart rate, and anxiety. Men should not take yohimbe without consulting their doctor first. How Meditation Boosts Melatonin, Serotonin, GABA, DHEA, Endorphins, Growth Hormone, & More?

07:41
How Meditation Boosts Melatonin, Serotonin, GABA, DHEA, Endorphins, Growth Hormone, & More? Backed by thousands of studies, meditation's incredible benefits reach far and wide. Let us explore how the ancient practice upgrades 7 critical brain and body chemicals — as well as the massive implications. #1: The "Happy Neurotransmitter" — How Meditation Boosts Serotonin Meditation Boosts Serotonin. Of our approximately 86 billion brain cells, most all are influenced by serotonin. Known by many scientists as the "happy" neurotransmitter, serotonin is key to helping relay signals from one part of the brain to another. This crucial chemical has a profound impact on our mood, contributing greatly to our overall state of well-being. Scientists show that activities like meditation have a direct impact on the brain’s production of serotonin levels. It is thought that meditation "bathes" neurons with an array of feel-good chemicals, effectively melting away the stress that leads to low serotonin levels and depression. Meditation’s serotonin replenishing effect works to create a utopian chemical environment for the production of new brain cells, making you a happier and healthier person. #2: The "Stress Hormone" — How Meditation Reduces Cortisol Cortisol, a major age-accelerating hormone, is the one chemical where less is better. When we are stressed, our bodies produce cortisol and adrenaline in abundance. Under chronic stress it's production is not normal, and can tear your body down, destroying healthy muscle and bone, blocking the creation of good hormones, eventually leading to anxiety, depression, increased blood pressure, brain fog, insomnia, inflammation, the list goes on. In 2013, researchers discovered a very powerful connection between meditation and cortisol, with remarkable results seen within only a few short weeks. Another study discovered that meditators had a nearly 50% reduction in cortisol levels! #3: The "Longevity Molecule" — How Meditation Boosts DHEA Best known by researchers as the "longevity molecule" and stress counter-puncher, DHEA is one of the most important hormones in the body. As we get older our DHEA levels decrease year after year, opening us up to disease and accelerated aging. Researchers find that the less DHEA you have, the fewer years you have left. Luckily, meditation provides a dramatic boost in DHEA hormone levels. Researchers discovered that meditation practitioners have an incredible 43.77% more DHEA over everybody else! #4: The "Calm Chemical" — How Meditation Boosts GABA Best known for making you feel calm, GABA (gamma aminobutyric acid) is one of the major inhibitory neurotransmitters in your central nervous system. Anyone with an addiction, including alcohol, drugs, tobacco, caffeine, and food, all have one thing in common: lack of GABA. Not having enough of this super-important chemical can create an array of problems, including anxiety, nervousness, racing thoughts, and sleeplessness. In 2010, Psychiatrists at the Boston University found a 27% increase in GABA levels after only 60 minutes of mindful exercises. Meditation has proven to be even more effective than physical exercise! Meditation can melt away Addiction #5: The "Natural High" — How Meditation Boosts Endorphins Responsible for the all-encompassing sense of happiness we sometimes feel, endorphins are a category of neurotransmitters that the body uses as an internal pain killer. A 1995 study tested the neurochemical release of two groups — 11 elite runners and 12 highly trained meditators — after running and meditation, respectively. What did they find? Both groups’ endorphin levels were greatly elevated. Perhaps even more amazing, meditation's "feel-good effect" scored even higher than running! #6: The "Fountain of Youth" — How Meditation Boosts Growth Hormone Growth Harmone stimulates growth during childhood and sustains our tissues and organs today. Starting in your 40s, your pituitary gland, the pea-sized structure at the base of your brain where growth hormone is produced, gradually decreases the amount of GH it creates. The body’s diminishing supply of growth hormone causes the frailty that comes with aging— weaker bones and muscles, increased body fat, poor heart contractions, bad moods, lack of motivation, and fatigue. The key state where our brains release the most growth hormone, "Delta" is a key brainwave frequency found during both meditation and the deepest stage of sleep. Scientists think that the meditators tend to look young because naturally elevated growth hormone levels! #7: The "Sleep Molecule" — How Meditation Boosts Melatonin In moderno Meditate on Your own Kundalini Force Give a Boost to Your Brain's Hormones Visit SimplifiedKundaliniYoga.com Be Blessed by the Divine, Krish Murali Eswar. Take Dr. Berg's Body Type Quiz: http://bit.ly/BodyTypeQuiz Dr. Eric Berg talks about a test for adrenal fatigue. The adrenal fatigue symptoms include insomnia, fatigue, achy, brain fog, low tolerance, breathing issues, sinus, libido, dizzy when standing up. For adrenal fatigue recovery, give your body some space, go out for a walk which will cause an instant adrenal fatigue treatment. There is a test you can do on yourself called Raglands. Lie down for several minutes and take your blood pressure. Then stand up and take your blood pressure. Normally the top number (systolic) will raise by 6-10 points. 10 Early Warning Signs Your Estrogen Levels Are Too High & How To Fix It

04:56
Nothing helps the body work like it should than when its hormones are perfectly balanced. The key to making sure that women’s bodies are hormonally balanced is making sure that their estrogen levels are where they need to be. Estrogen also plays an important role regulating the menstrual cycle. Bloating and a decreased sex drive are just two indicators of estrogen dominance—what takes place when your estrogen level gets and stays too high. Recognizing the signs and symptoms of too much estrogen can help you know to make sure your hormones stay regulated. Weight loss, high blood pressure, diabetes, and pregnancy are some of culprits of estrogen dominance. Let’s take a closer look at these and more. Here are 10 signs that you have estrogen dominance: 1. Weight Gain Putting on more than a few extra pounds can be an indication of too much estrogen. It causes bloating and makes it even harder to lose the weight. If you want to lose weight and keep it off, your estrogen can’t suffer rapid changes. 2. Heavy Menstruation When your estrogen levels rise, it can have the unwanted side effect of giving you a heavier period than normal. So, if that happens, you might want to consider having your estrogen level checked. 3. Decreased Sex Drive When you just don’t want intimacy with your significant other, it could mean a significantly increased amount of estrogen. High amounts of estrogen point to a lowered sex drive; however, you don’t want your estrogen to fall too low. It can also affect your desire for sex. 4. Irregular Period As we’ve already seen, your hormones and your period are closely related. When your estrogen fluctuates more than it should, the time between your period becomes unpredictable also. 5. Swollen Breasts When your hormone levels change, your breasts can become overly sensitive. So, when your breasts get tender to the touch, it might mean that you’ve got too much estrogen. 6. Changes in Mood Estrogen can affect your mental health. Too much of the female hormone has been attributed to panic and anxiety attacks as well as depression. 7. Frequent Headaches Have you recently experienced migraine headaches? Have you begun to get headaches more than normal? These issues could be cause by estrogen dominance. 8. Hair Loss When your body produces too much estrogen, your hair begins to thin. As it thins, it begins to fall out. Balancing your estrogen levels can take care of this irritating problem. 9. Insomnia When you’re having trouble sleeping, the cause could be too much estrogen. Our bodies know when there are problems and often times has problems adjusting. Sleep loss can be a reflection of that. 10. Cold Extremities Estrogen levels can affect circulation too. If your hormone levels are abnormal it could be the reason you're having a hard time keeping your hands and feet warm. Balance Your Hormone Levels with These 5 Foods 1. Rosemary Rosemary doesn’t just add flavor to your favorite recipes. It can also improve memory function, boost your metabolism, and contribute to a properly functioning thyroid. Best of all, rosemary is one of the foods responsible for producing estrogen. 2. Cruciferous Vegetables I3C, or indole-3-carbinol as this nutrient is properly known, is found in cruciferous vegetables like spinach, bok choy, kale, Brussels sprouts, and broccoli. These all have the important job of ridding the body of excess estrogen because the I3C converts into a substance that helps the liver flush the body when it has too much estrogen. 3. Flaxseed Another food that assists in getting rid of excess estrogen is flaxseed. The lignans and phytoestrogens present in these tiny seeds help regulate estrogen in the body by controlling how much of the hormone is able to bind to estrogen receptors. 4. Isoflavones Found in several herbs such as Trifolium pratense, Puerari montana, and Pueraria lobata, isoflavones have antioxidant properties that boost low estrogen levels. These herbs can be found in certain teas and are a great way to balance estrogen levels. 5. Activated Folic Acid You often hear about the importance of folic acid in women’s health. That’s because it’s present in the same leafy green vegetables that are high in I3C. It’s able to change estrogen into a form that actually lowers the risk of some forms of cancer. 6 Natural Ways To Boost Your Serotonin. The Key To Feeling Of Happiness

03:57
Serotonin, an important neurotransmitter, is generally thought of as our ‘feel-good’ chemical due to the major role it plays in regulating our mood. It’s also connected to our appetite, sleep, learning, and memory capabilities. Low serotonin levels in the brain can lead to feelings of depression, low self-esteem, irritability and anxiety. It can also cause us to be more forgetful than usual, crave sugar and starch, and have trouble sleeping. Check out these ways to boost this ‘happy-hormone’ naturally. 1.Soak Up the Sun Sunlight exposure, especially in the morning, is one of the most natural-ways to boost serotonin-levels. Catching some UV rays allows the body to synthesize Vitamin-D, which plays a role in serotonin production. Further proof of the role of sunlight on serotonin levels comes from studies which show our levels of serotonin transporters fall during winter and rise in summer. In fact, it’s these lower serotonin levels which play a role in seasonal-depression. 2.Improve Gut Health By improving the balance of bacteria in your gut, you can enjoy significantly better-health. As scientists continually learn about the complexity of the human-gut, we gain a greater appreciation for its influence over immunity, cognitive-function, weight-management, hormonal-balance and happiness. Serotonin, too, is dependent on a healthy-gut – not surprising when you discover that the majority of the body’s serotonin-levels (between 80% and 90%) are found in the gastrointestinal-tract! 3.Work Out It’s not a myth that working out makes you happy – breaking a sweat has been shown in numerous studies to increase both serotonin-production and release. Cardio-focused exercises – like running, cycling, swimming, and dancing – are most effective at raising our levels of this neurotransmitter. Brisk physical activity may increase the amount of tryptophan, a building block of serotonin, that enters the brain, an effect that lasts even after exercising. 4.Enjoy a Massage From lowering blood pressure and heart-rate to relieving pain, physical contact is known to boost happiness and immune-function. In particular, the skin-on-skin contact of massage has been shown to cause a jump in serotonin-levels. A study carried out by the Touch Research Institutes at the University of Miami School of Medicine found that massage increases serotonin levels by an impressive 28%, and dopamine (another important neurotransmitter) by 31%! 5.Get Social Spending time with friends and family can make you happier. Research has shown that social connectivity triggers the release of oxytocin (the ‘cuddle-hormone’) which stimulates release of serotonin. Your role in your social-circles may also influence your serotonin-levels with studies on monkeys suggesting that dominant individuals have higher than normal levels of the neurotransmitter. 6.Meditate There’s a reason meditation is one of the most important morning habits you can adopt – it will naturally boost serotonin-levels and set you up for the day. Study after study is now showing that meditation is a fantastic mental-exercise – not only for increasing serotonin-levels, but for lowering blood-pressure, easing chronic-pain, reducing anxiety, boosting immunity, improving concentration and more. Many experts recommend meditating after rising, when your mind is still relatively quiet after leaving ‘the sleep-state’. CQ10 (Coenzyme Q10) – Benefits, Dosage, Side Effects

04:20
CoQ10, or Coenzyme Q10, is a substance which is found in every cell of your body. Your body makes it and your cells use it to produce energy your body needs for cell growth and maintenance. It was first identified in the mid-1950s as a molecule essential to energy production in cells, where it is found in the mitochondria - the "powerhouses" of the cell. Coenzyme Q10 can exist in 3 different oxidation states – fully oxidized ubiquinone, radical semiquinone intermediate, and fully reduced ubiquinol (this is the active antioxidant form). Although it is produced naturally in the human body, production wanes considerably with age and in the presence of various diseases. In addition, a few medications, particularly cholesterol-lowering statin drugs, can also interfere with Coenzyme Q10 production. Benefits of Coenzyme Q10 The main Coenzyme Q10 benefit involves its role in the creation of an essential molecule known as adenosine triphosphate (ATP), which helps direct energy where it is needed within a cell and the body. It is also beneficial for heart health in numerous ways. For instance, it helps in maintaining the normal oxidative state of LDL (bad) cholesterol, supports optimal functioning of the heart muscle, and assists circulatory health. According to research, this antioxidant in combination with vitamin C, E, and conventional therapy may lower the dosage of asthma medication needed. Asthma is a long-term inflammatory disease of the airways of the lungs. Moreover, CoQ10 supplements may lower blood sugar levels, especially in people with type 2 diabetes mellitus. As a strong antioxidant, it can increase absorption of other essential nutrients. For example, it’s been shown that it helps recycle vitamin E and vitamin C, further maximizing the effects of vitamins and antioxidants which are already at work in the human body. A recent study concluded that a combination of omega-3, acetyl-L-carnitine, and Coenzyme Q10 may improve visual function in early age-related macular degeneration, an eye condition which may cause vision loss in older adults. As per a 2002 experiment that lasted about four months, a dose of 15 to 30mg of Coenzyme Q10 per day was enough to produce a notable reduction in migraines and headaches. Very large doses of Coenzyme Q10 appear to slow the progression of Parkinson’s disease, according to a 2002 study from the University of California, San Diego, which was issued in the Archives of Neurology. Lastly, CoQ10 boosts the immune system, leading to greater numbers of T cells (T lymphocytes) and macrophages. T cells are a specific type of white blood cells which mature in the thymus and stimulate the B cells to make antibodies. Dosage of CoQ10 In general, doctors have recommended doses of Coenzyme Q10 ranging between 22-400 milligrams a day. Side Effects of Coenzyme Q10 These supplements have few reported side effects. The most frequent seems to be stomach upset. Additionally, a few patients using these supplements have experienced elevated levels of liver enzymes, visual sensitivity to light, fatigue, mild insomnia, nausea, rashes, irritability, dizziness, and upper abdominal pain. Tip Research also shows that you can improve your body's conversion of Coenzyme Q10 to ubiquinol by eating lots of green leafy vegetables regularly that are loaded with chlorophyll, in combination with twenty minutes per day of sun exposure. Thank you. This was our post about coenzyme q10 uses, coenzyme q10 health benefits, coenzyme q10 blood pressure, coenzyme q10 skin, and coq10 supplement benefits. Berberine

20:30
In this video you'll discover the nootropics benefits of Berberine. Including which types of Berberine make the best nootropic, recommended dosage, side effects and clinical research. Berberine is well known and proven for reversing type-2 diabetes. But few people realize how powerful this supplement can be for reducing sugar cravings, eliminating late afternoon energy crashes, lifting brain fog, and boosting memory and mood. Berberine activates the enzyme AMPK which is the master metabolic switch in each one of your cells. This directly influences lipid, glucose and energy imbalances. Activating AMPK by adding Berberine to your nootropic stack boosts mental energy, provides quicker thinking, and even repairs and maintains healthy brain cells. Berberine also inhibits acetylcholinesterase (AChE) activity in your brain. Increasing levels of acetylcholine has a direct influence on concentration, focus and memory. Berberine is at least as effective in controlling blood sugar and insulin sensitivity as metformin. The latest research confirms user experience that supplementing with Berberine can help with depression, help prevent Alzheimer's, help control several types of cancer, lower cholesterol and blood pressure, and help with weight loss. Licorice Root- A Great Feel Good Herb Especially for Women

05:05
Licorice Root is one of the best adaptogenic herbs for the adrenals. Licorice root and hops flowers have often been used throughout history to treat hormone imbalances and just about every female problem known. They give women that sense of well being and control. Licorice is a source of DHEA and contains phytoestrogens which help reduce the adverse effects of estrogen on the prostate and reduces prostate enlargement in men. It blocks the formation of DHT from testosterone so it helps stop hair loss. Stimulates aldosterone, a key adrenal hormone. It’s an immune stimulating steroidal anti-allergy, antiviral, antibacterial, anti-tumor, antioxidant, adaptogen, antiseptic, antispasmodic, anti-inflammatory with chemical components similar to cortisone without the bad side effects Used for respiratory/lung conditions like bronchitis, asthma, coughs, sore throat, hoarseness. Also bladder infections, stomach and duodenal ulcers, gastritis, allergies. Helps detox poisons, Chew fruit for toothaches and gum disease antibacterial. Balances blood sugar. Helps pancreas of people with diabetes cut down on insulin. If used too much, can raise blood pressure, hypertension and sodium retention. Use only one month at a time. Complete B complex except B12, A, C, E, calcium, chromium, copper, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, selenium, silicon, sodium, zinc, lecithin, coumarins, bioflavonoids, saponins, phytoestrogens, salicylic acid aspirin. Used as an liver and kidney tonic, increases bile flow from liver, builds nerve tissue, removes arterial plaque, reduces body fat, treats hypoglycemia, ulcers, laxative, expectorant, regulates intestinal flora, helps alleviate foot cramps, boosts interferon to help fight bacteria and viruses, helps build strong muscle tissue, healthy heart function. Recommended to take for a month, then stop for a week or two before starting again. or two weeks on and 4 days off Licorice is not recommended for people with history of renal failure or kidney problems, liver disease or who take heart medication or steroid drugs. Do not take if pregnant. The natural plant is good for you, but avoid the store-bought standardized form that can dangerously raise blood pressure.  There is some fear and misconception about licorice root causing high blood pressure BUT the kind people have problems with is the standardized form sold in stores which is isolated in a lab which concentrates only on glycyrrhizic acid. People must use the whole licorice root powder, not the standardized form.  Whole plant form has over 400 phytochemicals, which have healing qualities. Standardized form also can dangerously raise blood pressure and this is the kind that gives people problems. That’s like isolating turperntine from pine trees and drinking turpentine and saying pine trees are bad. uge difference from the whole root that’s simply dried and ground up.   Then there is also American Licorice which is slightly stimulatory, whereas Chinese Licorice is calming. That is the kind you want, and THAT is the kind I use in my formulas. If indeed you truly have a negative reaction (very rare) to real licorice root, (or nuts or any food) then that means the liver needs cleaning. Once the liver is clean, that’s not a problem anymore. Quick Tips for Adrenals: Low Cortisol

05:52
http://jenspringer.com/4-things-for-women Quick Tips for Adrenals: Low Cortisol. Let's talk about adrenals! Tips for low cortisol, most people are treating adrenals as if they have high cortisol when the problem may be low cortisol. Low cortisol happens when the stressor sucks up all the raw materials to make cortisol. All of the pregnenolone and progesterone have been stolen and there is nothing left to make cortisol. What happens here is strange. These are a few things you may see with low cortisol: 1. Weird / tremor anxiety 2. Feelings of "tension" 3. Feel like blood sugar is always low. Cortisol helps blood sugar get into the cell. Feeling of hunger and low blood sugar even after meeting. The best test is 4x Cortisol plus DHEA. Can find through a practitioner or go to http://canaryclub.org and order the test. Most people talk about high cortisol and the herbs to treat that. But if you have low cortisol you need to do different things, not lower it even more. My favorite things for low cortisol: 1. Licorice root extract. Use as a tea or tincture. Do in morning shot. Can do before bed if waking during the night. Take during the wake ups too. Keep next to the bed. 2. Vitamin C. Adrenal cortext is where vitamin C is stored. Lipspheric C is optimal, you can make it or buy it. 2000-5000 mg of vitamin C. Higher for some people. 3. VItamin B5 - pantothenic acid. 1500-2000 mg per day. 4. Remove the stressor that caused the adrenal issue Some people use herbs but be mindful if you're in the stage 2 or 3 state you may not be able to do any stimulating herbs at all like rhodiola, decaf tea/coffee, or chocolate. Calming herbs like chamomile, passionflower, valerian, and holy basil (tulsi). Diffusing essential oils to create tranquil feeling. Calm the body out of sympathic overdrive. There is a lot more, but these are BIG TIPS. Get the test! Watch this again: https://youtu.be/eOfnJj4tDXs Share with others going through this. Stages of adrenal stress: Stage 1, cortisol is high. Stage 2, cortisol is high and low Stage 3, cortisol is low Find Jen on Facebook: http://facebook.com/jenspringerpage Find Jen on YouTube: http://youtube.com/jenspringerchannel Find Jen on her blogs: http://jenspringer.com or http://livegreen.solutions

Is Adrenal Fatigue Real: Symptoms and Treatment: Thomas DeLauer

08:47
Be Sure to Subscribe for 3x Videos per Week! http://www.ThomasDeLauer.com Adrenal Fatigue ad Cortisol: Is Adrenal Fatigue Real: Thomas DeLauer Adrenal fatigue is characterized by relentless, debilitating fatigue and can also include muscle weakness, decreased appetite, and weight loss - some people even experience nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. Adrenal fatigue occurs when your adrenal glands aren’t able to produce enough of certain hormones, such as norepinephrine, cortisol and DHEA, which allow you to respond to the conditions of your daily life in healthy and flexible ways. Simply put, the theory behind adrenal fatigue is that your adrenal glands are unable to keep pace with the demands of perpetual fight-or-flight arousal. As a result, they can't produce quite enough of the hormones you need to feel good (1) So, What are Your Adrenal Glands? Located at the top of each kidney, the adrenal glands are two, triangular-shaped organs that measure about 1.5 inches in height and 3 inches in length They are also known as your body’s shock absorbers - produce hormones that help the body control blood sugar, react to stressors like a major illness or injury, and regulate blood pressure. Cause(s) of Adrenal Fatigue Adrenal fatigue is caused when your adrenal glands cannot cope due to you being overly stressed – basically, the main cause is stress The adrenal glands are an essential part of your body's responses to any kind of physical, emotional or psychological stress. Many different types of stress can cause adrenal fatigue. Examples of physical stress include any severe or recurrent infection or illness, having an operation, poor diet or a severe injury. An emotional or psychological stress may be caused by many situations, including relationship, family or work difficulties. (3) However, there are 3 specific hormones that can be a cause of adrenal fatigue: Norepinephrine Also called adrenaline is commonly thought of as the fight-or-flight hormone. It’s produced when something is (or you think it is) threatening. This hormone makes your heart pound, your blood rush to your heart and large muscle groups, your pupils widen, your brain sharpens, and your tolerance for pain increase—basically, it prepares you for battle. Cortisol Cortisol increases your appetite and energy level while toning down your immune system’s allergic and inflammatory responses. This hormone stimulates the storage and release of energy in the body, helps the body resist the stressful effects of infections, trauma, and temperature extremes, and helps you maintain stable emotions. Ideally, cortisol is released into the system only on an occasional basis, rather than in response to chronic stress. If cortisol levels become too high for too long, they may have undesirable side effects, including muscle wasting, kidney damage, fluid retention, spiking blood sugar levels, weight gain, and increased vulnerability to bacteria, etc. Solutions Rid the diet of excess sugar and processed grains These are very hard on the adrenal glands. Eating excess sugar/starches will cause blood sugar to spike and insulin to come to the rescue due to excess glucose in the bloodstream. Blood sugar then drops or plummets, causing the adrenals to work to bring levels back up. When you are suffering from fatigued adrenal glands, cortisol levels drop and make it difficult to maintain normal blood sugar levels. People with adrenal fatigue tend to have low blood sugar. Consume Natural Salt like Himalayan Sea Salt Natural salts contain many trace minerals, which help to support the adrenals. Adrenal fatigue reduces the production of the hormone aldosterone, which helps regulate salt in the body. Optimize DHEA Levels When your adrenal glands are out of whack, your DHEA production will suffer greatly, and your stress hormone cortisol can roam freely inside of your body, destroying all the hard work you are doing to get your endocrine system back in shape. One of the best ways to support DHEA in the body is through magnesium supplementation. (5) References 1) Adrenal fatigue: What causes it? - Mayo Clinic. (n.d.). 💪 5 Proven Tips To Get Bigger, Harder, More Vascular Muscles

10:13
Proven formula for increasing your testosterone & building more muscle: 👉 http://drsam.co/yt/BuildMoreMuscle Or discover the only 4 ways to build muscle: 👉https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X6ZSOu2CinM Lower blood sugar, improve insulin sensitivity and lose fat: 👉http://drsam.co/yt/InsulinAndVeins =============================================== 💪 5 Proven Tips To Get Bigger, Harder, Vascular Looking Muscles =============================================== “This video was awesome, but I how can I get my muscles to look hard, full and vascular? I’m lean, but I always look “soft” and “flat”. Nothing “pops” like it does with the fitness and bodybuilder guys you see in the magazines, movies and online” Harder, Fuller, Vascular Muscles However, there are some “secrets” or proven tactics to getting harder, fuller, vascular/veiny looking muscles and I’ll reveal them today. Tip #1 - Leaner Is Better What’s important to note is that I’m 6’3”, but only weight 200 lbs. So I give the ILLUSION of “looking” bigger because I’m lean and under 10% body fat. So, that’s the first secret - you have to get lean. When you’re lean, you’ll have more muscle separation, you’ll have more veins and thus, your muscles will “pop” more because they’re not hiding under a layer of fat. Tip #2 - Hydrate Normally I’m fuller than these pictures and more vascular as the day progresses because I’ve had a lot more water, electrolytes, carbohydrates, food and minerals. These pictures were taken first thing in the morning, on an empty stomach with very little water, so I was “flat”, rather than being “full”. This is one problem with people who are always on a low-carb diet (ketogenic, paleo, intermittent fasting, etc.) . They look flat and depleted, even when they are lean. Carbs help fill out your muscles because they hold 3x their weight in water. When your muscles are hydrated, you’ll look fuller, bigger and harder.. And your blood volume will also be higher and thus, you’ll be more vascular too. HOWEVER, I put Himalayan or Celtic salt in my water and on my food. This keeps me hydrated and that’s the secret. My workouts are a lot better too. I’m stronger and I get better pumps. However, REAL salt does the opposite - it retains the water in your muscles, not under the skin. Tip #3 - Improve Insulin Sensitivity The problem with having carbs is NOT higher blood sugar, but poor insulin sensitivity. In fact, the more muscle you have and the lower your body fat, the better your insulin sensitivity, the MORE carbs you can eat, the easier it is to gain muscle and lose fat. More salt and water will also help improve insulin sensitivity, so keep doing that. Better sleep, has lots of benefits, including better insulin sensitivity as well. Tip #4 - Specific Workouts How you exercise, what you do, how often all can make a huge difference in how you look. First, you need to lift heavier weights to create a more dense, harder looking muscle. Do sets at 6-8 reps to hit your fast-twitch muscles, as well as higher 10-15 reps. Both are needed. Secondly, exercising too much, too often, too long causes stress hormones such as cortisol and aldosterone to go up, while also DECREASING insulin sensitivity and testosterone levels. The end result not only will you start to lose muscle and also gain fat, but your muscles will be depleted, flat and “stringy” looking. This gives that “skinny/fat” look, rather than “lean/hard” look. So I suggest lifting weights for about 45 min, no more than an hour, 3-4x weekly or every-other-day. Tip #5 - Improve Your Hormones Because my background as a doctor is in endocrinology - the study of hormones, this is an area I’m most passionate about. This is why steroids work so well, not only in building muscle and losing fat, but making you look harder, fuller and more vascular. However, simply optimizing your own hormones naturally, will go a long way in making improvements in how you look, feel and perform. This is how I do it because it’s so much safer, healthier, easier to maintain and you won’t have any of the negative side-effects (hair loss, zits, man-boobs, high cholesterol, blood pressure, etc.) This means higher “positive” hormones - such as Testosterone, GH, IGF, DHEA, etc., while minimizing “negative” hormones such as estrogen, prolactin, cortisol, DHT, etc. #muscle #weightlifting #vascularity ======================================== ======================================== Thank you for watching. Adrenal Fatigue Related Health Conditions

11:13
http://www.drlam.com/blog/adrenal-fatigue-related-health-conditions-2/2854/ - The normal stress response by the adrenal gland is to increase the blood sugar level. However, glucose release is slowed as the output of cortisol reduces during later stages of Adrenal Fatigue, such as what happens in adrenal exhaustion. - Hypoglycemia itself is a significant stress on the entire body, especially on the adrenal, so you have a vicious cycle that goes on. While this can be overcome by sugar fixes initially, in mild Adrenal Fatigue – and that’s why people take Coca-Cola, or Pepsi Cola, or pop drinks, as well as donuts or juices to give themselves that little boost, this is only a quick fix, and usually the symptoms will come back after only a short time, usually within one or two hours. - Hypoglycemia is also related to the autonomic nervous system dysfunction. Secondly, we have a musculoskeletal system breakdown. Now, collagen and protein are broken down in a catabolic state of function during Adrenal Fatigue. This can lead to chronic pain syndromes, joint pain, chronic fatigue, and fibromyalgia. - As cortisol goes up, one of the side effects of this hormone is the breakdown of protein, resulting in an overall net catabolic state, meaning the amount of buildup of the muscle is less than the amount of breakdown, so as a result, broken down muscles are not adequately replaced. Collagen is broken down without significant replenishment. Outwardly, wrinkles start to develop as premature aging sets in. Internally, organs and muscle breakdowns tends to lead to chronic muscle and joint pains of unknown origin, especially after strenuous exercise or heavy lifting. - Adrenal Fatigue therefore is often associated with poor ability to digest protein, as well as the gastrointestinal systems tend to slow down. This will only add to the musculoskeletal pain and syndromes. It should come, therefore, as no surprise that that secondary fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue are commonly associated with adrenal exhaustion. - Because Adrenal Fatigue can lead to insomnia, sleep disturbances, brain fog, anxiety and depression if the central nervous system is involved. Peripheral nervous system dysfunction is often associated with orthostatic hypertension, dizziness, lightheadedness, temperature intolerance, fainting spells, tingling and numbness sensation of extremities, as well as sweating disregulation. - Chronic lack of sleep is strongly associated with decreased immunity, as well, and impaired glucose intolerance, as well as the decreased alertness and concentration. Cortisol, DHEA, testosterone, and estrogen are key hormones produced by the adrenals, - Those with advanced Adrenal Fatigue are strongly associate with an increase in fear, anxiety, depression, as well as difficulty concentrating. - A lot of people also complain of brain fog, which is a mental state where the memory becomes clouded or unclear. The exact physiology is not clear, but it’s postulated that excessive metabolite buildup in the brain over time, due to poor clearance is a major factor. It brings up a point that many people try to do detoxification to get themselves better from Adrenal Fatigue, but improper detoxification can make the body worse, and make brain fog more decompensated, and also can even trigger a retoxification reaction, if not done carefully. - Oftentimes what happens during Adrenal Fatigue, is what’s responsible for many of the common symptoms, including heart palpitations, blood pressure irregularity, as well as sweating. - You can also have estrogen and progesterone imbalances leading to a continuum of estrogen dominance, such as PMS, endometriosis, PCOS, fibrocystic breast disease, breast cancer, as well as irregular menstrual cycles. Hormone imbalances can also include thyroid imbalances, which are very common, as you can see. Adrenal Fatigue is commonly associated with secondary hyperthyroidism, where the thyroid laboratory tests may be normal, but the person is clinically sub-functioning in terms of high thyroid, and can be considered hypothyroid. There can also be cortical hormone imbalances, such as aldosterone imbalances, leading to irregular blood pressure, as well as salt and fluid retention problems. - There could be androgen imbalances, including masculinization effects from testosterone, with symptoms such as seborrhea, dermatitis, acne, hirsutism, as well as velvety light brown to black markings, usually on the neck. In men, a low libido is often associated. - We have immune system dysfunctions with symptoms such as allergies. The weaker the adrenal, the stronger the effects of allergens because of the histamine release, and the less the cortisol is being secreted. Therefore, you have less anti-inflammatory response. Number two, you also have autoimmune disease. These become more prevalent, such as Hashimoto’s disease, as well as rheumatoid arthritis, because of the cortisol effect.

WARNING: Why Caffeine Is Horrible For Your Health & Hormones

05:13
A scientifically researched and natural solution for increasing your energy levels WITHOUT using caffeine: 👉👉 http://drsam.co/yt/Natural-Energy-Booster Or discover the worst energy supplement for your health: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9-0c7CTy6Sg =============================================== WARNING: Why Caffeine Is Horrible For Your Health & Hormones =============================================== #caffeine Most of you aren’t going to like today’s topic, because most people consume daily, the most abused drug on the planet and that’s caffeine. And YES, caffeine is a drug. So powerful that Coca Cola’s original ingredient contained cocaine and they needed a replacement for it and the substitute was and still is, caffeine! Whether it’s your morning or daily coffee and tea, the usual “energy drinks”, sodas, pre-workout products or dozens of other “energy” stimulatory products that contain caffeine. In fact, most people can’t seem to start the day without getting their “caffeine hit”. The problem with caffeine is that it “burns out” your Central Nervous System and causes numerous, negative changes in your hormones, which ultimately accelerates aging. The negative changes in hormones are: Increase in stress hormones, such as cortisol -- this means more belly fat. Decrease in testosterone -- this means less muscle and lower libido. Decrease in growth hormone & IGF -- more fat, accelerated aging. Decrease in thyroid hormones (T3) -- slower metabolism and fat gain. Decrease in adrenal hormones -- DHEA, pregnenolone, etc. Decrease in melatonin -- sleep and anti-aging hormone. Increase in estrogen -- breast cancer, gynecomastia (“Man Boobs”), irregular menstruation Higher blood sugar and insulin insensitivity -- more fat, less muscle, diabetes, etc. Another major issue is neurological in that it causes issues by decreasing dopamine release and dopamine receptor sensitivity -- both are bad because it decreases happiness and can cause parkinson's. It also causes a decrease in another neurotransmitter, serotonin. This means again, less happiness, more worry, stress, anxiety and panic. Other health problems that are non-hormonal Oxidative stress and inflammation -- related to numerous health problems, aches and pains PH imbalance (more acidic) -- acid reflux, osteoporosis, gut bacterium imbalances Insomnia & poor sleep (shallow REM sleep) -- cause of too many health problems and hormonal imbalances. High blood pressure Honestly, I can go on and on. And trust me when I tell you that when I take a little bit of caffeine, I feel AMAZING. I honestly do. I’m happy, very productive and just more focused. But I’ve done so many tests with it and no matter what I do, within a few days my body adapts, I need to increase the dose, my hormones start to change for the worst -- as does my sleep. And people who I’ve tested who habitually consume caffeine daily, for years and years (like most of us) -- trust me, they have a lot of health issues. BUT NOT ONCE, will a doctor say “get off the caffeine, it’s killing you”. This is because nobody even thinks of caffeine as a drug. And “every does it”. Remember, it’s a very potent drug and works in many ways, the same as Cocaine. And both are “natural” and found in “nature”. But they are not to be consumed in highly concentrated sources, like we do in modern society. Anyway, like I said -- I really like how I feel on caffeine, I just don’t like to deal with the negatives - especially the hormonal imbalances. So, what does this mean? Because I know right now most people are thinking “umm… no way am I gonna stop my caffeine, I love my coffee, etc., etc.” Yeah, I get it. However, the good news is that there are much safer, healthier and even better solutions -- natural herbs, plant extracts and amino acids that will give you all the energy and focus you need, but without any of the negative side-effects that I’ve mentioned today. No crash. No negative hormonal changes. Plus, they are actually GOOD for your health -- body AND especially mind. Better for memory, cognition and mood. They actually help improve your hormones and neurotransmitters. They have anti-aging benefits, especially for your mind. ======================================== Subscribe to Dr.Sam Robbins's official Youtube channel http://drsam.co/yt/subscribe Like us on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/DrSamRobbins ========================================= Thanks DrSamRobbins

Insulin Like Growth Factor 1 (IGF-1) Explained: Everything You Should Know

06:54
Dr Kiel quickly reviews and explains Insulin Like Growth Factor 1 (IGF-1) and all the effects it has on your body. MORE TESTOSTERONE KNOWLEDGE https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLt6puIp2CPGW0tIf5L82gvkxDhaSQnME3 READ MORE https://www.healthydocs.net/home/2017/insulin-like-growth-factor-1-igf-1-explained-everything-you-should-know TESTOSTERONE EXPLAINED https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=urgNiKfpKf8 This playlist covers things like testosterone and other androgens, DHEA (Dehydroepiandrosterone), insulin like growth factor (igf-1, igf 1), and human growth hormone (hgh). The emphasis is understanding these hormones and ways to promote them naturally. Please like, subscribe, comment and share! SUBSCRIBE: https://www.youtube.com/user/DrJohnKiel FACEBOOK: https://www.facebook.com/medicinelifestyle TWITTER: https://twitter.com/LifestyleMedYou I wanted to take a few minutes to explain Insulin-Like Growth Factor 1 to you. This molecule is also called somatostatin C and more often IGF-1 for short. This hormone is widely discussed in the sports world for possible performance enhancement. It also shares the common name insulin with the medication used to treat type 1 diabetes. For these reasons, I thought it would be worth discussing and spending some time reviewing. Briefly, I will discuss the anatomy, physiology and regulation of IGF-1. IGF-1 secretion is regulated by the release of human growth hormone, which is secreted from the pituitary gland. I have made a detailed video explaining growth hormone and I would encourage you to check that out if you want to know more. The function of IGF-1 and HGH overlap significantly and the distinction between the effects of HGH and IGF-1 are not entirely clear, and the research in this area is ongoing. IGF-1 is produced and secreted primarily from the liver, although other peripheral tissues, such as bone, produces its own IGF-1. The reason that insulin-like growth factor has the name is that it has an insulin like subunit that binds to insulin receptors, but only has 10% of the potency of regular insulin on glucose regulation. This is an anabolic hormone; in other words it ‘promotes growth’. While this includes skeletal muscle, it’s certainly not limited to it. It’s worth noting that it is not androgenic, as opposed to testosterone, meaning it doesn’t promote male sex characteristics such as facial hair and deeper voice. It’s primary effect is growth stimulation. This is a balanced effect which affects all tissues equally, not just skeletal muscle. This occurs because it is released into the bloodstream by the liver, although local production by bones probably is a little more effective locally. Production peaks during puberty where whole body growth is at it’s greatest. Other functions: Whole body protein synthesis and inhibition of protein breakdown (proteolysis) Enhanced bone mineralization Low blood sugar (hypoglycemia, remember it acts like insulin) Positive nitrogen balance Increased kidney filtration Partial reversal of catabolic activity of glucocorticoids on protein synthesis Diabetics: increased insulin sensitivity (not approved for this use)

How to Increase Serotonin Levels Naturally

04:28
" Serotonin is a very important hormone as it influences mood and sleeping patterns. It also controls blood pressure levels. Serotonin is made up of an amino acid – Tryptophan. Tryptophan is obtained from food, which is then transported to the brain. In the brain cells, Tryptophan is converted to Serotonin. Serotonin deficiency can be treated with proper diet or with Serotonin supplements. Hence, inclusion of foods that have Tryptophan in our diet is very important. "
