5 WARNING SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS OF RHEUMATOID ARTHRITIS

05:26
5 WARNING SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS OF RHEUMATOID ARTHRITIS Signs and symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis may include: Tender, warm, swollen joints Joint stiffness that is usually worse in the mornings and after inactivity Fatigue, fever and weight loss Early rheumatoid arthritis tends to affect your smaller joints first — particularly the joints that attach your fingers to your hands and your toes to your feet. As the disease progresses, symptoms often spread to the wrists, knees, ankles, elbows, hips and shoulders. In most cases, symptoms occur in the same joints on both sides of your body. About 40 percent of the people who have rheumatoid arthritis also experience signs and symptoms that don't involve the joints. Rheumatoid arthritis can affect many nonjoint structures, including: Skin Eyes Lungs Heart Kidneys Salivary glands Nerve tissue Bone marrow Blood vessels Rheumatoid arthritis signs and symptoms may vary in severity and may even come and go. Periods of increased disease activity, called flares, alternate with periods of relative remission — when the swelling and pain fade or disappear. Over time, rheumatoid arthritis can cause joints to deform and shift out of place. Subscribe to the channel, watch more videos, like or share a video and leave a comment. Thanks.

7 Things Your Hands Can Tell About Your Health

04:05
► 7 Things Your Hands Can Tell About Your Health Hands are one of the first body parts to show signs of aging. But they can also indicate certain health problems. Doctors say that, the condition of your hands can be a result of several medical changes going on elsewhere in your body. Red palms: Doctors explain that, red palms can be a sign of liver problems, especially if you are over 50 years old. Usually the redness is located in the outer edge of the palm. The possible reason for red palms is a change in the hormonal balance, which causes blood vessel dilation. Rheumatoid arthritis can be also a reason for redness on the palms. If you’ve spotted red areas on your hands, you should get medical advice to find out the true reason for it. Meanwhile, try to switch to a healthy diet and lower your alcohol intake. Sweaty palms: There are several possible reasons for sweaty palms: Excessive sweating. Stress. Overactive thyroid. In case of hyperhidrosis, which is excessive sweating, you can try strong antiperspirants. You can also get a medical procedure done to fight hyperhidrosis. Try to limit your alcohol intake and learn to control your stress levels (meditation, “inhale-exhale” technique). If nothing seems to work you should definitely make a doctor’s appointment. Loss of sensitivity and tingling: Sometimes we wake up with the feeling that, we have lost sensitivity in certain parts of our body, and when we move it starts tingling. Usually it’s just because we pressed on the sensory nerve for a long time. The tingling is the time that the nerve needs to get back to work. In some cases these symptoms in the hands can be a sign of a more serious problem like cervical osteochondrosis, carpal tunnel syndrome, venous thrombosis of the limb, a brachial plexus injury, anemia or diabetes. If you often experience loss of sensitivity in your hands without an obvious reason, go and consult with your doctor. Dry hands: The most common reasons for dry skin on the hands are dehydration and estrogen deficiency, which goes hand-in-hand with menopause. To avoid dehydration drink enough water, and use moisturizing hand creams. Include oily fish, seeds, and nuts in your diet. Visit your doctor for hormonal replacement therapy, it will help you to control the estrogen drop. Trembling hands: It’s known that shaking hands can be a sign of serious health problems like Parkinson’s Disease. If you have serious concern go and get medical advice. In the meantime limit your strong coffee and alcohol intake, because they can also cause trembling hands. Other possible reasons are anxiety and major stress. Weak nails: Weak or cracked nails can be a symptom of zinc deficiency. Zinc is really important for our health, it promotes wound healing, helps cells divide, and strengthens the immune system. Add some zinc-rich foods to you diet like oats, nuts, and meat. Doctors also recommend taking zinc as a supplement if its level is low in your body. Clubbed fingers If your fingers look like a club or a drumstick, where the nail and finger develop a bulbous end, usually there’s a deficit of the oxygen in your body. It may be the symptom of a more serious disease like lung cancer or heart disease. Go and get professional medical advice if you experience “clubbing.” ★ Please leave a like if you enjoyed and tell me what you think in the comments! ★ Don't forget to subscribe my channel to help us reach to 100.000 Subscribers : https://goo.gl/29sHF2 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ★ VIEW MORE: ➞ Tips & Tricks: https://goo.gl/UdhRLs ➞ Natural Remedies: https://goo.gl/djrthu ➞ Diet & Weight Loss: https://goo.gl/7sEJCX ➞ Beauty Tips: https://goo.gl/E3nsCd ➞ Healthy Drinks: https://goo.gl/BSGh2E --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ★ Like our facebook page: https://goo.gl/tVNSqu --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ★ Videos can use content-based copyright law contains reasonable use Fair Use (https://www.youtube.com/yt/copyright/)

11 Ways How To Use Turmeric For Arthritis Treatment

06:26
Arthritis is an inflammation or pain that can commonly occur in the fingers, elbow, knees, hip, jaw or any other area between the joints. Arthritis can lead to swelling, pain, redness, joint destruction and disability. There is no treatment for it, especially if it is rheumatoid arthritis, which is an autoimmune disease that causes the defense system of the body to attack itself. In this video, we'll let you know how turmeric can be used to treat arthritis. Turmeric has been in use for many centuries now as a cure for several diseases. Turmeric, its rhizome stem, is used as a traditional medicine to cure various ailments like arthritis and inflammation. Here, we have discussed how you can use turmeric along with other ingredients to cure the condition of arthritis. Turmeric contains anti-inflammatory, anti-arthritic, free radical removal and antioxidant properties that help in treating arthritis. Turmeric also contains curcumin that is effective in treating arthritis and its associated pain. It also helps in treating the swelling and tenderness of the joints. Turmeric also helps in blocking certain cytokines and enzymes that result in inflammation and also works as a painkiller that raises the mobility in the joints and decreases the stiffness. So, here's a gist on how to use turmeric for arthritis treatment. Continue watching to know more. 1. Turmeric And Milk : Mix one spoon of turmeric with one cup of warm milk. Drink this milk in the evening before going to sleep to get a sound sleep. Also, make sure to consume turmeric regularly to reduce the joint pain and inflammation caused by arthritis. This is also confirmed in the study 'Turmeric Extracts Containing Curcuminoids Prevent Experimental Rheumatoid Arthritis'. 2. Turmeric And Water : Add one spoon of turmeric into water. Mix it thoroughly and boil it for 15 minutes. This will help create 12% of curcumin mixture. You need to drink this solution within four hours. Else the curcumin will gradually reduce to 6% in about 6 hours. 3. Turmeric And Ginger : Ginger has anti-inflammatory properties that help remove the inflammatory chemicals from the painful joints. Take half a spoon of turmeric powder and powdered ginger root. Brew them in boiling water for about 20 to 30 minutes. Drink this tea to get relief from arthritis. 4. Turmeric Powder And Coconut Oil : Mix one spoon of turmeric powder with a sufficient amount of coconut oil. Make a paste and apply it on the affected area. Leave it on for a few hours and rub it off after it dries. Repeat this to get relief from arthritis pain completely. 5. Turmeric Powder, Powdered Lime And Saltpeter (Potassium Nitrate) : Take one spoon of turmeric powder, a little powdered lime and saltpeter. Mix them well to make a paste. Apply this on the painful area and cover it with a cheese cloth. Repeat this frequently to get relief from arthritis and its symptoms. 6. Turmeric Paste : Mix ¼th cup of turmeric powder in ½ a cup of water. Simmer it over medium heat and stir until it becomes a paste. Allow it to cool down and store it in the refrigerator. Apply on the affected area and wash off with plain water. Hence, you can adopt this method to treat arthritis using turmeric. 7. Turmeric, Coconut Oil And Egg Yolk : Beat the egg yolks and melt the coconut oil. Add coconut oil into the mixture along with some turmeric powder. Use a hand blender and emulsify this mixture. Consume this mixture once or twice a day to get relief from arthritis completely. 8. Turmeric, Lemon Grass, Coconut Oil And Cayenne Pepper : Mix 5 spoons of cayenne pepper with 5 spoons of turmeric powder. Add dry organic lemon grass to it and coconut oil to it. Mix all these in an oven pan and preheat it at 150 degrees C for 3-5 hours. Strain these herbs by using a cheesecloth into a glass jar and close the lid tightly. Apply this mixture on the skin to get a good relief from arthritis pain. 9. Turmeric, Fenugreek Powder And Dried Ginger Root : Ginger contains anti-inflammatory phytonutrients called gingerols that help with fighting inflammation and arthritis. Mix one spoon each of turmeric powder, fenugreek powder and dried ginger powder. Mix all these thoroughly along with warm water. Consume this solution twice in a day to get relief. 10. Turmeric And Dimethyl Sulphate Solution : Add two spoons of turmeric powder to 1-2 spoons of dimethyl sulphate. Mix them well to make a paste and rub it over the painful joints. Wrap it with a plastic wrap and cover it with a heating pad for about 25 to 30 minutes. 11. Turmeric And Lemon Juice : Take two spoons of turmeric powder with one spoon of lemon juice. Mix them well and add it to boiling water to make a paste. Apply the paste on the affected area and leave it for a few minutes. Wash it with water and repeat this until it heals. Hence, this is the best natural remedy to treat arthritis with the help of turmeric. Video URL : https://youtu.be/izNTQDXdTUU

WHAT YOUR HANDS CAN TELL YOU ABOUT YOUR HEALTH

03:10
Your hands could say a thousand words and if you care to study them closely and observe the changes that are happening, then you are sure to pick up some of those telltale signs of some alarming aspects about yourself. Your finger nails are the furthest most point from your body, and could tell you if you are suffering from a skin cancer identified by doctors as “Acral Melanoma”, very common among those with darker skin tones, where it would be shown with either a brown discoloring or black stripes under the finger nails. A red coloring too would not bode well as it shows that you could have anti immune diseases, which can be identified as “Lupus” or “Rheumatoid Arthritis”. If you find anything of the sort, a doctor would need to be consulted. Swelling of the fingers is also not a good sign and could invariably be something not very serious to very serious and the best would be to consult a doctor and obtain a diagnosis. It could be quite serious like “Rheumatoid Arthrtis”, “Hypothroidism”, or even due to low Albumen and Protein levels in the body which would not bode well and would need the right medications or adjustments. In the alternative it could be some deficiency in hormones, or too much salt or even due to dehydration in the body in which case they would need to be addressed immediately. The length of your fingers could also tell so many things and if your ring finger is taller than your index finger you could be in for what doctors call osteoarthritis in the knee, which is s very painful condition which could make you immobile. If your fingers are shaking uncontrollably it could also be either due to the high intake of coffee or caffeine which could be corrected by reducing its intake but it could also be “Parkinsons disease” which is quite another issue and more serious than an overdose of caffeine. Rough palms could be either due to dry skin or even one of the many eczemas that are affecting those who contact them due to various reasons, which only a doctor would be able to tell after he takes a look at your hands. If the palms or hands start itching then it could be something entirely different and could be due to anything from normal itchiness to any other serious issues. A pale whiteness in your palm or cold hands in general could be due to a lack of blood flow. If skin is peeling off your hands then it could be due to deficiencies in Vitamins that are needed to keep our skin looking nice with that extra glow even when you are exposed to the harsh realities of the Sun.

Nail Symptoms and What It Means for Your Health!

04:22
Did you know that your fingernails can provide clues to your overall health? Healthy nails grow, on average 3.5 millimeters a month, but this is influenced by your nutritional status, medications, trauma, chronic disease, and the aging process itself. If you notice any significant changes in your nails, including swelling, discolorations, or changes in shape or thickness, see a dermatologist right away. It could be nothing, or it could be due to an underlying condition. Below are the nail symptoms you might experience in your lifetime and what they mean for your health. White Lines Across Nails Also dubbed "Muehrcke's lines," these double white lines run horizontally across the nails, and are typically most clearly seen on the index, middle, and ring fingers. Commonly, these lines can indicate low levels of protein in the blood, which can be caused by liver disease or malnutrition, or during periods of stress, especially ones that affect your metabolism. Dark Stripes Running Down Nails In many cases, these dark, vertical stripes across your nails are harmless. However, there is a chance that they could be a sign of subungual melanoma, an extremely ferocious form of cancer that occurs on the toes or fingers. Red Or Brown Streaks Underneath Nails Also called splinter hemorrhage, these thin, reddish brown streaks underneath the nails are primarily tiny, damaged blood vessels. They can indicate wider, more severe causes that have to do with inflammation or swelling, including medical conditions like rheumatoid arthritis and psoriasis. Discolored Nails Discolored nails can indicate various things, including signs of an infection, a nutritional deficiency, and a problem with one of your organs. Yellowish nail points to a fungal nail infection, or even psoriasis. Brown nails can indicate a thyroid disease or malnutrition. White nails can point to an iron deficiency. Bluish-gray tint can mean that your body might not be getting enough oxygen. It could also point to an issue with your lungs or heart. Brittle, Crumbly Nails Dry, brittle nails that frequently split or crack have been linked to things like thyroid disease and fungal infections. They can also indicate lichen planus, a condition that results in itchy rashes on the skin or around the mouth. Thickened Nails Among many other possible causes, thickened nails can form due to reactive arthritis (a really painful kind of inflammatory arthritis) and lung diseases. Another possible explanation is poor circulation. Medical conditions, like diabetes, can slow down the blood flow through the fingers and toes, and affect the quality of the skin. Spoon-Shaped Nails Spoon-shaped fingernails curve inward, and look like they are "scooping" outward. They can indicate a condition known as koilonychia, a disease that can be an indicator of hypochromic anemia, which leaves the red blood cells paler than normal. In addition, these nails can be a sign of hemochromatosis, a liver condition that is caused by a surplus of iron. They can also be a sign of heart disease or hypothyroidism. Pitting Or Denting In Nails Medical conditions such as psoriasis and reactive arthritis are likely be the reason that you're seeing little dents in your nails. Other possibilities include eczema and alopecia areata, a genetic disease that results in spot baldness. Grooves In Nails Also dubbed "Beau's lines," these horizontal grooves are ridges and indentations in the nails. There are several causes, including malfunctions during cell division, infections in the nail fold, or finger injuries. Nail Clubbing Also known as drumstick fingers and watch-glass nails, clubbed nails occur when the nails curve around the fingertips. This could be totally harmless — there might be an increased blood flow to the fingertips, and this could even be a genetic occurrence. Clubbed nails could also indicate lung and liver disease, heart disease, and inflammatory bowel disease, according to Hills.

How to Use Aloe Vera to Treat Rheumatoid Arthritis|which gymno spermic plant cures rheumatism Learn More About AloeVera For Free Ebook https://goo.gl/zxNUhM 1.Watch Aloevera planet: https://youtu.be/VAxfVv_TC18 2.How To Useful For Aloevera :https://youtu.be/Vjgb7I45QHg 3.Skin Care And Aloe Vera :https://youtu.be/n-5tLdRusEY Disclaimer: This video only for educational purpose If you have rheumatoid arthritis (RA), an inflammatory autoimmune disease, you know the pain it can cause to your joints. The body's immune system mistakenly attacks itself, commonly the membranes that line the joints of your wrists and fingers. You may also notice pain around your neck, shoulders, elbows, hips, knees, ankles and feet. But, managing the pain by treating inflammation can reduce your discomfort. Using aloe vera, adopting an anti-inflammatory diet, and changing your lifestyle can bring relief from RA symptoms. 1 Learn about aloe vera gel and juice. Gel from the aloe vera plant is a traditional treatment for wounds, burns, infections and some kinds of joint pain and arthritis. You can use it directly on the joints or drink aloe vera juice to decrease inflammation. Aloe vera may be useful for RA because of its anti-inflammatory properties, its property as a pain-reliever (likely due to the anti-inflammatory properties) and in speeding up wound-healing. It is also a safe moisturizing and anti-aging agent. The gel comes from the central part of the aloe leaf, known as the "inner fillet." It contains larger complex sugars than aloe juice does. These complex sugars are thought to be responsible for the benefits of aloe. The juice is extracted from the outer leaves and also contains complex sugars. 2 Get aloe vera gel out of the plant. If you have a mature aloe plant, cut off a leaf using a pair of sharp scissors and peel away the outer leaf to reveal the clear gel inside. Use your fingers to get the gel out or cut the end off the leaf and squeeze the gel out. If you want to purchase the gel, check online or at your local health food store. Buy organic aloe vera with no additives or preservatives 3 Apply aloe vera gel to your joints. At first, apply the aloe to a small area to test for any possible reactions. If a rash or other problems develop, stop using it. If there's no skin irritation, spread the gel onto the areas that are bothering you the most. Apply it like you would any other lotion. This will give you temporary relief from the pain of rheumatoid arthritis. As long as there's no skin irritation, you can keep treating the pain with aloe vera as long as you want. Most people don't experience side effects, but aloe may cause redness, a burning or a stinging sensation and rarely, a short-term rash 4 Learn about aloe vera juice's side effects and health interactions. Aloe vera juice has been reported to decrease immune responses which may be helpful in RA. Drinking aloe vera juice can cause cramping, diarrhea and gas. If this happens, stop drinking it. Drinking aloe vera juice can lower blood sugar and interfere with diabetes medications, so don't drink the juice for more than 3 to 4 weeks. It can also decrease the absorption of steroid creams, and decrease potassium levels if you drink the juice. Always talk to a knowledgeable healthcare professional before combining any medications with supplements, including topical or oral aloe vera. While there are no long-term studies of internal aloe vera's effects, one study found a link between the juice and colon cancer. The Center for Science in the Public Interest (CSPI) does not recommend drinking aloe vera. But, it strongly recommends using aloe vera topically 5 Drink aloe vera juice. Look for organic aloe vera juice (like Lily of the Desert or Nature's Way) with no additives or preservatives. Start with small amounts, like 2 to 3 ounces once a day, to see how you react to the juice. Work your way up to 2 to 3 ounces 3 times a day. It does taste a little bitter and may take some getting used to. You can try adding 1 teaspoon of honey to the juice or mix it with a fruit juice till you like the flavor. Never drink the gel since it contains a strong laxative and can cause diarrhea SUBSCRIBE FOR MORE VIDEOS WATCH MORE USEFUL VIDEOS : 1.How to Use Meditation to Treat PTSD|ptsd and schizophrenia https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3uK9bfEo6Wk ………………………………………………………………………………………………………… 2.How to Use a Mala|beads with meaning https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fmH799CS1yE ……………………………………………………………………………………………………….. 3.how does meditation help depression |guided meditation depression https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EKhvdXnTawU FOLLOW ME SOCIAL PROFILES: YouTube: https://goo.gl/yEbKyd Google+: https://goo.gl/T1fvmo FaceBook: https://goo.gl/nXwenV Twitter: https://goo.gl/yMmnDl Pintrest: https://goo.gl/KHEQjl Linkedin: https://goo.gl/262zkC

Early Signs of Rheumatoid Arthritis

03:59
Early Signs of Rheumatoid Arthritis What is rheumatoid arthritis? Rheumatoid arthritis is an autoimmune disorder that causes chronic inflammation of joints. Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) tends to begin slowly with minor symptoms that come and go, usually on both sides of the body, and progress over a period of weeks or months. Symptoms of this chronic disease vary from person to person and can change from day to day. Bouts of disease activity are called flare-ups, and inactive periods are called remission. Fatigue You may feel unusually fatigued well before any other symptoms become obvious. Fatigue can precede the onset of other symptoms by weeks or months. It may come and go from week to week or day to day. Fatigue is sometimes accompanied by a general feeling of ill health or even depression. Morning stiffness Morning stiffness is often an early sign of arthritis. Stiffness that lasts for a few minutes is usually a symptom of a degenerative form of arthritis. Stiffness that lasts for several hours is generally a symptom of inflammatory arthritis and is typical of RA. You may also feel stiffness after any period of prolonged inactivity like napping or sitting. Joint stiffness Stiffness in one or more of the smaller joints is a common early sign of RA. This can occur at any time of day, whether you are active or not. Typically, stiffness begins in the joints of the hands. It usually comes on slowly, although it can come on suddenly and affect multiple joints over the course of one or two days. Joint pain Joint stiffness is often followed by joint tenderness or pain during movement or while at rest. This also affects both sides of the body equally. In early RA, the most common sites for pain are the fingers and wrists. You may also experience pain in your knees, feet, ankles, or shoulders. Minor joint swelling Mild inflammation of the joints is typical early on, causing your joints to appear bigger than normal. This swelling can also cause joints to feel warm to the touch. Flare-ups can last anywhere from a few days to a few weeks, and this pattern can be expected to increase with time. Subsequent flare-ups may be felt in the same joints or in other joints. Fever When accompanied by other symptoms like joint pain and inflammation, a low-grade fever may be an early warning sign that you have RA. However, a fever higher than 100 degrees Fahrenheit (38 degrees Celsius) is more likely to be a sign of some other form of illness or an infection. Numbness and tingling Inflammation of tendons can create pressure on your nerves. This may cause numbness, tingling, or a burning feeling in your hands referred to as carpal tunnel syndrome. The joints of your hands or feet may even produce a squeak or crackling noise as damaged cartilage grinds against joints when you move. Decrease in range of motion Inflammation in your joints can cause tendons and ligaments to become unstable or deformed. As the disease progresses, you may find yourself unable to bend or straighten some joints. Although your range of motion may also be affected by pain, it’s important to engage in regular, gentle exercise. Other early symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis During the early states of RA, you may feel a variety of symptoms, including: general weakness or a feeling of malaise dry mouth dry, itchy, or inflamed eyes eye discharge difficulty sleeping chest pain when you breathe (pleurisy) hard bumps of tissue under the skin on your arms loss of appetite weight loss See your doctor to get a proper diagnosis if you’re experiencing some of the early symptoms of RA. Symptoms Of Fibromyalgia That You May Not Be Aware Of It! Just Health Related

03:55
SYMPTOMS OF FIBROMYALGIA THAT YOU MAY NOT BE AWARE OF AND HOW TO CONTROL THEM Fibromyalgia is a musculoskeletal disorder that causes fatigue, widespread muscle and joint pain and memory and mood issues, according toWebMD. And while fibromyalgia is the most common musculoskeletal condition after osteoarthritis, it’s still not well understood by the medical world. Women are actually much more likely to suffer from fibromyalgia than men, and at this time there is no cure for the disorder. Since fibromyalgia can cause symptoms that are similar to osteoarthritis, it’s important to understand the signs, symptoms and risk factors that are associated with the disorder to make sure you’re treated properly. Risk Factors There are three risk factors that increase your chances of developing fibromyalgia, according to the Mayo Clinic: 1. Sex. Women are more likely to develop the disorder than men. 2. Family history. If a family member has fibromyalgia, you are at an increased risk of developing it. 3. Rheumatic disease. If you have rheumatoid arthritis or lupus, you might have a higher risk of developing fibromyalgia. Symptoms Fibromyalgia often causes widespread pain and fatigue, and it can cause certain parts of the body to be painful to touch — like they’ve been overworked or pulled. The disorder also can affect your sleeping habits, usually limiting the amount of restful sleep you can achieve, and cause depression. Other symptoms, according to WebMD, include: – Abdominal pain – Chronic headaches – Dryness in your mouth, nose and eyes – Hypersensitivity to cold and/or heat – Inability to concentrate – Incontinence – Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) – Numbness or tingling in your fingers and feet – Stiffness Treatment To determine if you have fibromyalgia, your doctor must eliminate other possible causes for your symptoms, such as giving you blood tests to discount other conditions that cause pain and fatigue. Once your doctor has determined you have fibromyalgia, treating the disease may include some of the following, according to the Mayo Clinic: – Pain relievers. These can be anything from over-the-counter drugs like ibuprofen to prescription pain-relief products. Pain relievers are used to lessen discomfort and help you sleep better through the night. – Antidepressants. These medications can help with the pain and fatigue that comes with fibromyalgia. – Antiseizure drugs. These kinds of drugs have actually proven helpful in reducing the pain of those suffering from fibromyalgia. There are many causes of joint and muscle pain that are fairly easy to identify. You might work out too vigorously, or not warm up eough before exercising. You might lift, pull or push something too heavy. You might overuse a joint or muscle by doing the same movement repetitively, causing strain or wear. Bursitis and tendinitis fit in this category. You can also expect to feel muscle and joint pain if you have a fairly common, temporary illness like a the flu, pneumonia, or a severe cold, or an infection somewhere in your system. But this video will focus more "mysterious" reasons for joint and muscle pain that are more complicated to diagnose. Arthritis is one of those. There are more than 100 different kinds of arthritis, and some forms can happen at any age. Most people are familiar with the most common form, known as osteoarthritis. Osteoarthritis causes inflammation of the joints, but the discomfort can often feel like it's coming from nearby muscles. Gout is a another painful arthritic condition that usually attacks the big toe and other small joints. Gout is caused by an irregularity in your body's chemistry that raises the amount of uric acid in the blood. Deposits of crystals grow in and around joints. It can often be controlled with medication and changes in diet. Rheumatoid arthritis, like osteoarthritis, it is a chronic, inflammatory condition that causes pain in the joints. But it is an autoimmune disorder, meaning your immune system attacks your own body snd therefore can affect many other tissues and organs. Rheumatoid arthritis causes widespread pain and discomfort in those who have it. Lupus is another immune disorder that causes unexplained joint muscle pain. Lupus can affect your skin, kidneys, blood cells, heart and lungs in various ways. Symptoms of lupus include shortness of breath, chest pain, dry eyes, headaches, confusion and memory loss. There can also be skin lesions and rashes, and skin discolorations in the fingers, Nerve damage, especially in your spinal column, can cause pain that "radiates" to distant parts of your body and feels like muscle or joint discomfort. A condition called sciatica occurs when there's a problem with the sciatic nerve, which runs from your back down to your lower extremities. When the sciatic nerve is injured, the pain can feel like it's happening in the buttocks, legs or feet. Other relatively uncommon diseases and conditions that cause joint and muscle pain could include the following. Fibromyalgia causes chronic pain, stiffness, and tenderness of the muscles, tendons, and joints. Fibromyalgia pain can range from mild to severe. Lyme disease, which is transmitted through tick bites, includes a rash followed by fever, joint and muscular pain, and headaches. Rocky Mountain spotted fever is another disease you get from a tick bite. One of its classic symptoms is muscular pain. Trichinosis or roundworm is a health threat we don't think much about these days. But it causes muscle pain associated with breathing, chewing, or using large muscles.

What Is Your Health Telling You, According to Your Hands?

05:11
What Is Your Health Telling You, According to Your Hands? Your hands and nails are a physical indication of your health. The appearance of your fingernails and hands can also give you insight into any potential underlying health problems. It’s very easy to ignore our hands, too. Aside from the occasional nail-clipping, when’s the last time you really looked at your palms and digits? LET’S TAKE A LOOK AT WHAT YOUR HANDS CAN REVEAL ABOUT YOUR HEALTH 8. BLUE OR WHITE FINGERTIPS. If you look at your fingertips, you’ll notice a white-pink coloration. The pink, of course, is the blood circulating underneath. If your fingertips appear too blue or too white, it is a possible sign of poor blood circulation. One condition, known as Raynaud’s syndrome, occurs when small blood vessels become sensitive to temperature change. 7. PALE NAIL BEDS. Nails beds are comprised of the area of skin from the cuticles to fingertips, and where the nails lay. Similar to your fingertips, there’s a pink-to-red hue. If your nail beds appear overly-white, it may be a sign of iron-deficiency anemia. Iron-deficiency anemia occurs when there’s a lack of red blood cell circulation. 6. TREMBLING HANDS. There are a number of reasons why the hands may tremble a bit. Maybe you’ve had one-too-many cups of java, are anxious, or take certain prescriptions meds (e.g. antidepressants, asthma drugs. ) If your hands are frequently shaky, it’s a good idea to schedule a checkup with your family doctor. They’ll want to look over your medical records, and take additional measures to rule out possible neurological causation. 5. WEAK GRIP. According to a study of over 140,000 adults in 17 countries, a weak grip is indicative of being at a higher risk for stroke or heart attack. The strength of grip is considered a good measure of overall health, including muscle strength ( and why doctors have you squeeze their fingers during routine checkups. ) 4. SCALY SKIN PATCHES. Sometimes the skin gets red and scaly simply because of inadequate moisture. This is something we can easily treat through basic skin care. However, if scaled and flaky skin patches aren’t responsive to self-care, it’s time to schedule a checkup. Red, rough patches can be indicative of skin conditions that range from mild to severe. Perhaps the most important reason to visit a doctor when dealing with persistent scaly skin is to rule out the possibility of precancerous growths (these usually appear as small, wart-like dry patches. ) 3. SWOLLEN HANDS AND FINGERS. Occasional swelling of the fingers and hands usually isn’t too big of a deal. Dehydration, excess sodium intake and hormonal cycling can all cause these areas to swell. Increasing your water consumption and laying off the sodium for a while are two good preventative measures. If swelling of the hands/fingers is accompanied by stiffness or pain, it may be an indication of a more serious condition. Hypothyroidism (low thyroid hormone production) , rheumatoid arthritis, and systemic sclerosis symptoms include stiffness/pain and swelling of the hands and fingers. 2. SWEATY PALMS. As with trembling hands, sweaty palms can be induced by anxiety or caffeine overload. (Tip: if you’re a coffee lover, carry a water bottle around with you to maintain adequate hydration.) Chronically “clammy” hands may indicate a couple of things; menopause or thyroid conditions, or hyperhidrosis, in which overactive sweat glands produce excessive amounts of perspiration. Doctors can prescribe stronger antiperspirants to help curtail the sweating. Source: www.powerofpositivity.com ......................... What is rheumatoid arthritis?

03:15
Thank you for watching **Useful Information** * From providing a useful information channel. What is rheumatoid arthritis? Rheumatoid arthritis is a chronic inflammatory disorder that can affect more than just your joints. In some people, the condition also can damage a wide variety of body systems, including the skin, eyes, lungs, heart and blood vessels. An autoimmune disorder, rheumatoid arthritis occurs when your immune system mistakenly attacks your own body's tissues. Unlike the wear-and-tear damage of osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis affects the lining of your joints, causing a painful swelling that can eventually result in bone erosion and joint deformity. The inflammation associated with rheumatoid arthritis is what can damage other parts of the body as well. While new types of medications have improved treatment options dramatically, severe rheumatoid arthritis can still cause physical disabilities. Symptoms Signs and symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis may include: Tender, warm, swollen joints Joint stiffness that is usually worse in the mornings and after inactivity Fatigue, fever and weight loss Early rheumatoid arthritis tends to affect your smaller joints first — particularly the joints that attach your fingers to your hands and your toes to your feet. When to see a doctor Make an appointment with your doctor if you have persistent discomfort and swelling in your joints.

11 Symptoms and Signs of Lupus You Shoud Know

07:59
11 Signs Used to Diagnose Lupus 1. Fatigue About 90 percent of people with lupus experience some level of fatigue. An afternoon nap does the trick for some people, but sleeping too much during the day can lead to insomnia at night. It may be difficult, but if you can remain active and stick to a daily routine, you may be able to keep your energy levels up. 2. Unexplained fever One of the early symptoms of lupus is a low-grade fever for no apparent reason. Because it may hover somewhere between 98.5˚F (36.9˚C) and 101˚F (38.3˚C), you might not think to see a doctor. People with lupus may experience this type of fever off and on. 3. Hair loss Thinning hair is often one of the first symptoms of lupus. Hair loss is the result of inflammation of the skin and scalp. Some people with lupus lose hair by the clump. More often, hair thins out slowly. Some people also have thinning of the beard, eyebrows, eyelashes, and other body hair. Lupus can cause hair to feel brittle, break easily, and look a bit ragged, earning it the name “lupus hair.” 4. Skin rash or lesions One of the most visible symptoms of lupus is a butterfly-shaped rash that appears over the bridge of the nose and on both cheeks. About 50 percent of people with lupus have this rash. It can occur suddenly or appear after exposure to sunlight. Sometimes the rash appears just before a flare-up. Lupus can also cause non-itchy lesions in other areas of the body. Rarely, lupus can cause hives. Many people with lupus are sensitive to the sun, or even to artificial lighting. Some experience discoloration in the fingers and toes. 5. Pulmonary issues Inflammation of the pulmonary system is another possible symptom of lupus. The lungs become inflamed, and the swelling can extend to lung blood vessels. Even the diaphragm may be affected. These conditions can all lead to chest pain when you try to breathe in. This condition is often referred to as pleuritic chest pain. Over time, breathing issues from lupus can shrink lung size. Ongoing chest pain and shortness of breath characterize this condition. It’s sometimes called vanishing (or shrinking lung syndrome). The diaphragmatic muscles are so weak they appear to move up in CT scan images, according to the Lupus Foundation of America. 6. Kidney inflammation People with lupus can develop a kidney inflammation called nephritis. Inflammation makes it harder for the kidneys to filter toxins and waste from the blood. According to the Lupus Foundation of America, nephritis usually begins within five years of the start of lupus. 7. Painful, swollen joints Inflammation can cause pain, stiffness, and visible swelling in your joints, particularly in the morning. It may be mild at first and gradually become more obvious. Like other symptoms of lupus, joint problems can come and go. If over-the-counter (OTC) pain medications don’t help, see your doctor. There may be better treatment options. But your doctor must determine if your joint problems are caused by lupus or another condition, such as arthritis. 8. Gastrointestinal problems Some people with lupus experience occasional heartburn, acid reflux, or other gastrointestinal problems. Mild symptoms can be treated with OTC antacids. If you have frequent bouts of acid reflux or heartburn, try cutting down on the size of your meals, and avoid beverages containing caffeine. Also, don’t lie down right after a meal. If symptoms continue, see your doctor to rule out other conditions. 9. Thyroid problems It’s not uncommon for people with lupus to develop autoimmune thyroid disease. The thyroid helps control your body’s metabolism. A poorly functioning thyroid can affect vital organs like your brain, heart, kidneys, and liver. It can also result in weight gain or weight loss. Other symptoms include dry skin and hair, and moodiness. 10. Dry mouth, dry eyes If you have lupus, you may experience dry mouth. Your eyes may feel gritty and dry, too. That’s because some people with lupus develop Sjogren’s disease, another autoimmune disorder. Sjogren’s causes the glands responsible for tears and saliva to malfunction, and lymphocytes can accumulate in the glands. In some cases, women with lupus and Sjogren’s may also experience dryness of the vagina and skin. Subscribe to the channel, watch more videos, like or share a video and leave a comment. Thanks.

Medical Awareness: Rheumatoid Arthritis | توعية طبية عن التهاب المفاصل

21:07
Follow me on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/sami.al.sousi/ Follow me on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/IMP.PRODUCTION/ Rheumatoid arthritis is a chronic inflammatory disorder that can affect more than just your joints. Rheumatoid arthritis can affect many nonjoint structures, including: Skin,Eyes,Lungs,Heart,Kidneys,Salivary glands,Nerve tissue Bone marrow,Blood vessels Rheumatoid arthritis signs and symptoms may vary in severity and may even come and go. Periods of increased disease activity, called flares, alternate with periods of relative remission — when the swelling and pain fade or disappear. Over time, rheumatoid arthritis can cause joints to deform and shift out of place. Causes Illustration comparing rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis Rheumatoid arthritis vs. osteoarthritis Rheumatoid arthritis occurs when your immune system attacks the synovium — the lining of the membranes that surround your joints. The resulting inflammation thickens the synovium, which can eventually destroy the cartilage and bone within the joint. The tendons and ligaments that hold the joint together weaken and stretch. Gradually, the joint loses its shape and alignment. Doctors don't know what starts this process, although a genetic component appears likely. While your genes don't actually cause rheumatoid arthritis, they can make you more susceptible to environmental factors — such as infection with certain viruses and bacteria — that may trigger the disease. Risk factors Factors that may increase your risk of rheumatoid arthritis include: Your sex. Women are more likely than men to develop rheumatoid arthritis. Age. Rheumatoid arthritis can occur at any age, but it most commonly begins between the ages of 40 and 60. Family history. If a member of your family has rheumatoid arthritis, you may have an increased risk of the disease. Smoking. Cigarette smoking increases your risk of developing rheumatoid arthritis, particularly if you have a genetic predisposition for developing the disease. Smoking also appears to be associated with greater disease severity. Environmental exposures. Although uncertain and poorly understood, some exposures such as asbestos or silica may increase the risk for developing rheumatoid arthritis. Emergency workers exposed to dust from the collapse of the World Trade Center are at higher risk of autoimmune diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis. Obesity. People who are overweight or obese appear to be at somewhat higher risk of developing rheumatoid arthritis, especially in women diagnosed with the disease when they were 55 or younger. Complications Rheumatoid arthritis increases your risk of developing: Osteoporosis. Rheumatoid arthritis itself, along with some medications used for treating rheumatoid arthritis, can increase your risk of osteoporosis — a condition that weakens your bones and makes them more prone to fracture. Rheumatoid nodules. These firm bumps of tissue most commonly form around pressure points, such as the elbows. However, these nodules can form anywhere in the body, including the lungs. Dry eyes and mouth. People who have rheumatoid arthritis are much more likely to experience Sjogren's syndrome, a disorder that decreases the amount of moisture in your eyes and mouth. Infections. The disease itself and many of the medications used to combat rheumatoid arthritis can impair the immune system, leading to increased infections.

10 Early Signs and Symptoms of Lupus | Warning Signs of Lupus

06:25
10 Early Signs and Symptoms of Lupus The American College of Rheumatology says that if a patient has at least 4 of these 11 signs (though not necessarily all at the same time) they can be diagnosed with lupus. 1.
