Cholesterol: Don't Smoke
Learn about lifesaving tips on how to quit smoking to lower your cholesterol levels. This video is just one of many that offers health and wellness tips at http://bit.ly/2j1jiqn Amy Wixted, Wellness and Education Manager at The Villages Health®, explains how smoking negatively affects your cholesterol. Smoking and second-hand smoke lowers HDL cholesterol and raises total cholesterol. It also speeds up hardening of the arteries and damages your blood vessels; plaque and cholesterol build up and float in the blood vessels, and can lead to more build-up in different areas. It's very difficult to quit smoking. The average person takes nine attempts before they are successful. So if you know anybody that's trying to quit, make sure you give them a lot of encouragement and support. There are free resources available. The American Lung Association is great for people who want to find local resources in their area. Every state has different resources available. The gold standard is to have both counseling - whether individual or in a group - online, telephone or in person, and nicotine replacement therapy at the same time. Of course, plenty of people have gone cold turkey and have been successful, but it’s hard to do it that way. For people who need extra resources, they're there and available at no charge. Niacin effects on Cholesterol (Mechanism of Action)
See Text below for more information about Niacin and its effects on Lipids overall. Niacin (or Nicotinic Acid) is a form of vitamin B3. Niacin is one of the essential nutrients for the human body. Niacin deficiency can cause pellagra, while insufficient niacin in the diet can cause nausea, skin and mouth lesions, anemia, headaches, and tiredness. A recommended daily allowance of niacin would be 2–12 mg/day for children, 14 mg/day for women, 16 mg/day for men, and 18 mg/day for pregnant or breast-feeding women. Niacin in much higher doses than those recommended as daily dietary allowance is a potent agent against Dyslipidaemia. In doses as high as 1.500 - 2.000mg is proven to reduce LDL (bad) cholesterol by 20%, increase HDL (good) Cholesterol by 30%, and also reduce Triglycerides by almost 40%. It is also proven to reduce the atherogenic fraction of LDL: Lp(a), and apolipoprotein Apo-B (which is the carrier of lipids in LDL-C). Two large studies have been conducted with these doses of Niacin with patients under treatment with Statins. (AIM-HIGH & HPS2-THRIVE). These studies concluded that there is no added cardiovascular benefit by concomitant use of high doses of Niacin along with statin treatment, when LDL-C levels are already very low. It seems though that Niacin treatment is effective in patients not treated with statins. Niacin in such high doses can cause Flushing. Another form of vitamin B3 is Nicotinamide, but only Niacin has been found to have this strong effect on dyslipidaemia.

7 Best supplements that will clean your arteries naturally at home
7 Best supplements that will clean your arteries naturally at home : Heart attacks are caused by the blood supply to the heart being suddenly interrupted. Without this supply, heart muscles may be damaged and begin to die. fatty deposits called plaque buildup in your arteries, they can narrow the vessels and raise your risk of atherosclerosis and heart disease. Several supplements are available that, over time, might help dissolve plaque and improve the function of your arteries, lowering your risk of chronic circulatory problems. Here are 7supplements that can help you unclog your arteries 1. Take fish oil supplements. If you don’t like fish or don’t have access to fish, you can simply take fish oil supplements to help get omega-3 fats. Look for fish oils that contain EPA and DHA oils. Although you might expect consuming fat to increase arterial plaque, omega-3 fatty acids may help slow plaque deposition and, over time, reduce its amount, according to experts at the University of Maryland Medical Center. Consuming supplements containing these unsaturated, healthy fatty acids can lower levels of blood triglycerides while raising levels of HDL, helping to keep your blood cholesterol in a healthy range. They may also help prevent inflammation of the arterial lining and reduce the risk of blood clots, both of which promote plaque deposits. 2. Take psyllium supplements. If you have difficulty getting enough fiber from foods, you can take psyllium supplements. Psyllium is a water-soluble fiber available in pill and powder forms. 3. Increase soy protein through supplements. Soy proteins are commonly available as powders that you can mix into a variety of foods and beverages (juices, smoothies, etc.). Several studies have shown that soy protein supplementation can have a beneficial effect on your cholesterol levels. 4. Take niacin supplements. You can also take niacin (vitamin B3) to help lower cholesterol levels. However, talk to your physician and monitor niacin supplementation closely. Common side effects at high doses include: • Flushing of the skin • Stomach upset • Headaches • Dizziness • Blurred vision • Increased risk of liver damage 5. Garlic Supplement. Garlic isn't just a culinary herb but is also a useful supplement if you're concerned about arterial plaque and atherosclerosis, according to evidence summarized at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. Garlic contains a compound that's converted into allicin when cloves are crushed. Allicin could help lower blood levels of cholesterol by suppressing a liver enzyme that makes cholesterol. This eventually reduces plaque so You can simply add more fresh garlic to your food or take garlic supplements if you don’t enjoy garlic in foods. 6. Take plant sterol supplements. Beta-sitosterol and sitostanol are two additional supplements that may have a positive impact on cholesterol. You can find these options in supplement form at most vitamin shops or health food stores. 7. Take coenzyme Q-10 (CoQ-10) supplements. CoQ-10 is an essential nutrient used to treat a variety of heart and blood vessel conditions. It can also counteract muscle pain resulting from other cholesterol-lowering medications called “statins.” Consider taking CoQ-10 if your doctor has prescribed one of these medications. check out my other similar videos https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RFE8MFBZURI 😍 15 Foods That Unclog Arteries Naturally And Protect Against Heart Attack https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_-yVQyl2k4s 😍 7 Lifestyle Changes That Will Clean Your Arteries Naturally And Protect You From Heart Attack NOTE: The materials and the information contained onNatural ways channel are provided for general and educational purposes only and do not constitute any legal, medical or other professional advice on any subject matter. The Niacin debate: Does it help or not? History, background and current state
Ford Brewer MD MPH at PrevMedHeartRisk.com Niacin is Vitamin B3 (BOOPER ALERT - 35 SECONDS, I MISTAKENLY SAID D3 - NOT ONCE, BUT SEVERAL TIMES. I WOULD RE-TAPE IT. But too many people continue to value it.) . Along with it's partner chemical, Nicotinamide, it is the B3 complex. Niacin was discovered in the late 1800s and confirmed in the early 1900s. It was originally called "PP" factor, for Pellagra Prevention factor. Pellagra can cause severe skin disease. It also can create black tongue. This is also cured by niacin. Niacin was originally made by oxidizing NICOTINE. The similarities in these two molecules is shown in the video. It may have something to do with the far-reaching impact of nicotine. Niacin is involved in more metabolic processes (over 450) than any other vitamin cofactor. And Niacin has been found to have a positive impact on more cholesterol, lipid and cardiovascular problems than any other medicine. Debate started in 2011 with 2 studies, HPS2-THRIVE and AIM HIGH. The problem with HP2-THRIVE was lapropriant. Lapropriant was the popular medication used to stop niacin flush. Niacin flush is created by action on prostaglandin receptors. Lapropriant blocks those receptors. This receptor-blocking activity stopped the niacin flush. But it appears it also stopped the positive impact of niacin. AIM HIGH was another study that failed to show positive impact by niacin. There is a lot of debate re: the reason. It ranges from the thought that niacin doesn't work to problems with the study design. Does niacin help or not? It's still a debate. Many studies have shown that it does. A couple have shown that it does not. What do I do? I take it. 2000 mg/day. Rugby or Enduracin brands (and I have no financial relationships). Extended release. We'll cover management of flush in another video. About Dr. Brewer - Ford Brewer is a physician that started as an Emergency Doctor. After seeing too many patients coming in dead from early heart attacks, he went to Johns Hopkins to learn Preventive Medicine. 💔 Smoking, Clogged Arteries And Death - Scary Facts About Smoking
How I quickly improved my dad’s blood flow in only 30 days and avoided the #1 cause of a heart attack or stroke. 👉 http://drsam.co/yt/NoDeathForMe Or you can watch this video: http://drsam.co/yt/SeePart1 And the clinical studies can be seen here: 1. http://www.surgeongeneral.gov/library/tobaccosmoke/report/full_report.pdf 2. Roger VL, et al. (2011). Heart disease and stroke statistics—2012 ======================================= 💔 Smoking, Clogged Arteries And Death - Scary Facts About Smoking ======================================= Today I’m going to discuss a not so obvious problem to a very obvious problem. So, what the heck does this mean?... The “obvious” problem is smoking. I think everyone knows by now just how bad smoking is for you. And most people associate smoking to lung disease or lung cancer. However, most people don’t realize that cigarette smoking causes 1 in every 5 deaths in the US. That’s 20% of all deaths! In fact, it’s the main preventable cause of death and illness in the United States. And this is because smoking harms nearly every organ in your body... including the heart, blood vessels, lungs, eyes, mouth, reproductive organs, bones, bladder, and digestive organs. Now, a “not so obvious” problem with smoking is that it causes major damage to your blood vessels and circulation! The chemicals in tobacco smoke harm your blood cells. They also can damage the function of your heart and the structure and function of your blood vessels. This damage increases your risk of atherosclerosis -- which is a disease that causes plaque build up in your arteries. Over time, plaque hardens and narrows your arteries. This limits the flow of oxygen & nutrient rich blood, to your organs and other parts of your body. Not only is this bad for your heart, which dramatically increases your risk for a heart attack or stroke. It’s also one of the leading causes of AGING -- for your body, skin, organs and even brain! Even A “Little” Is Too Much Any amount of smoking, even light smoking or occasional smoking, damages your heart and blood vessels. For some people, such as women who use birth control pills and people who have diabetes or high blood sugar, smoking poses an even greater risk to the heart and blood vessels. Secondhand smoke has all the same problems of regular smoking, but it’s just not as “concentrated”. Secondhand smoke is the smoke that comes from the burning end of a cigarette, cigar, or pipe. It also refers to smoke that's breathed out by a person who is smoking. My point with today’s short video is to remind you that smoking is bad for you, obviously… However, lung cancer is the LEAST of your problems when it comes to smoking. A much bigger problem is the decrease in blood flow and circulation, which affect every organ and cell in your body. If you’re over the age of 35, if you have high blood sugar or blood pressure, if you’re overweight, if you live a high-stress life, if you don’t exercise daily, if you don’t eat healthy, etc., etc…. Then smoking dramatically increases your risk for a heart attack or stroke. If nothing else and you only care about your looks and vanity, smoking really AGES you - both internally, as well as externally. So at this point, you need to first make a decision and COMMIT that you’re going to STOP smoking permanently. If not for yourself, then for your family, friends and loved ones. Because secondhand smoke can be almost as bad. ======================================== Thank you for watching. Please feel free to comment, like or share with your friends. How Smoking Raises Heart Disease Risk | Heart Disease
Watch more How to Understand Heart Disease videos: http://www.howcast.com/videos/512521-How-Smoking-Raises-Heart-Disease-Risk-Heart-Disease How does smoking increase the risk of heart disease? Smoking has been one of the risk factors that's most well-established for the development of heart disease and the buildup of atherosclerotic or cholesterol plaques in the arteries of the heart. The link between smoking and heart attack and stroke has been very strongly established in the medical literature. How does smoking lead to the buildup of cholesterol plaque in the arteries? It's a pretty complicated mechanism, but some of the basics we know. When people smoke, it increases the likelihood that cholesterol in the blood will be taken up into the arteries of the heart. In addition, it increases the inflammation of the arteries of the heart. If we take a campfire analogy of coronary atherosclerosis, we can consider the artery as the campfire and every time you smoke, it's like taking a little squirt of lighter fluid and adding it to the campfire. Each time, you get a little burst of inflammation and that causes a little more damage. This is a very simplistic way of looking at things, but helps give us a visual of what might be going on in the arteries of the heart when someone smokes. Not only has the link between smoking and heart disease been well-established, but the amount you smoke makes a real difference. With each additional cigarette per day, we've been able to show an increased rate of heart attack and stroke. The flip side of that coin, is as anyone reduces the amount they smoke, their risk of heart disease dramatically reduces. Stopping smoking is one of the single best ways for someone to reduce their risk of heart disease, stroke, or heart attack. So, smoking, can be said to directly lead to the buildup of atherosclerotic plaque in the arteries.

This Is What Happens To Your Brain And Heart, When You Eat Banana Three Times A Day
Eating one banana in the morning, afternoon, and evening, you will provide your body with enough potassium to reduce the risk of a blood clot in the brain by 21%. The American College of Cardiology, claimed that stroke cases can be prevented or even reduced by the potassium levels found in certain foods, including bananas, fish, spinach, and lentils. Study found out that a daily potassium intake around 1,600 mg can lower stroke risk. An average-sized banana contains nearly 500 mg of potassium. So three a day can lower blood pressure and help with proper brain and nerve function. Bananas also rich in vitamin B6, vitamin C, manganese, biotin, dietary fiber, which regulate the function of the digestive system. One banana contains 108 calories and little cholesterol, fat, or sodium, which are known to cause weight gain. Bananas are low in glycemic carbohydrates and they are a highly recommendable snack for athletes who are always in a need of an extra energy boost. Other Health Benefits Of Eating 3 Bananas a Day * Lowers depression: Bananas are rich in tryptophan, a protein which the body converts into serotonin, a compound that improves the overall mood. * Regulates blood pressure: It helps regulate heart function, body’s fluid balance and also reduce the risk of blood pressure and stroke. * Treats constipation: If you are constipated, then try including bananas into your diet to restore your bowels. * Anemia: Bananas contain great amounts of iron, so they can help the body produce hemoglobin, and we know that low levels of hemoglobin usually indicate anemia. * Smoking: Bananas have a high content of vitamins B2 and B6, it can help your body recuperate from the impacts of nicotine withdrawal. * Cures hangovers: Banana smoothies sweetened with some honey are an excellent cure for hangovers. * Fights stress: Potassium helps regulate the heartbeat. When we feel stressed, our metabolic rates rise and potassium levels drop. Eating potassium-rich foods such as bananas can help balance the heartbeat. * Improves bone mass: According to some research, the potassium in bananas prevents the decay of bones. * PMS: The vitamin B6 from the bananas can help you normalize your glucose levels, thus improve your mood.

Subscribe to the podcast at http://stemtalk.us Full show notes are available at http://stemtalk.us/episode-41/ Dr. David Diamond is a University of South Florida professor in the departments of psychology, molecular pharmacology and physiology and director of the USF Neuroscience Collaborative. He is well known for research that looks at the effects of stress on brain, memory and synaptic plasticity. A primary research project over the past few decades has been the study of treatments for combat veterans and civilians with PTSD. Although his academic specialty is neuroscience, recently he has been closely examining the role of fat and cholesterol in heart disease. He began looking into lipids after test results showed his triglycerides were through the roof.  He also launched a critical look into the effectiveness of statins, a class of drugs doctors frequently prescribe to help people lower cholesterol levels in their blood. Dr. Diamond’s findings contradicted the low-fat, high-carb diet that he, as well as many Americans, had been advised to follow. This led him to explore ways for people to optimize their diet for cardiovascular health. He eventually created a graduate and undergraduate seminar entitled, “Myths and Deception in Medical Research.” A lecture he gave at the university entitled “How Bad Science and Big Business Created the Obesity Epidemic” is now a YouTube video with nearly 200,000 views. The lecture focused on how “flawed and deceptive science demonized saturated fats and created the myth that a low-fat, plant-based diet is good for your health.” Dr. Diamond received his B.S. in biology from the University of California, Irvine in the 1980. He continued his post-graduate work at the university and earned a Ph.D. in biology with a specialization in behavioral neuroscience. From 1986 to 1997, Dr. Diamond was an assistant professor in the Department of Pharmacology in the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver. He then moved to University of South Florida and since 2003 has been a professor in the departments of psychology, molecular pharmacology and physiology. In addition to directing USF’s Neuroscience Collaborative, Dr. Diamond also is the director of the university’s Center for Preclinical and Clinical Research on Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. His research projects at the university have ranged from “The Effects of Stress on Brain, Memory and Synaptic Plasticity” to “The Cognitive and Neurobiological Perspectives on Why Parents Lose Awareness of Children in Cars.” Dr. Diamond has served on federal government study sections and committees evaluating research on the neurobiology of stress and memory and has more than 100 publications, reviews, and book chapters on the brain and memory. He is a fellow in the American Institute of Stress and in 2015 he received the award for Outstanding Contribution to Science from the Riga Diabetes and Obesity World Congress. In 2015, Diamond also received the University of South Florida International Travel Award. A silent killer in your kitchen cabinet that’s worse for your health than alcohol, nicotine and many
https://livingtraditionally.com/a-silent-killer-in-your-kitchen-cabinet-thats-worse-for-your-health-than-alcohol-nicotine-and-many-drugs/ References: https://www.organicconsumers.org/old_articles/Organic/spicesgood.php http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3730882/ A silent killer in your kitchen cabinet that’s worse for your health than alcohol, nicotine and many drugs Did you know that conventional spices contain harmful ingredients? When you buy conventional spices, they often contain artificial Colors, preservatives, and gmos. Many of the spices most people buy are treated with chemicals, contain GMOs and are irradiated. According to Thomas Fricke, co-founder and president of ForesTrade, an organic spice company in Brattleboro, Vermont, “Virtually all conventional spices sold in the United States are fumigated [sterilized] with hazardous chemicals that are banned in Europe.” Sterilizing Spices with Toxic Chemicals and Radiation Spice contamination usually occurs during processing storage, distribution, sale. Spices can be contaminated with insect parts, rodent hair and feces. So in order to get rid of these not so yummy ingredients, conventional spice producers sterilize their spices with toxic chemicals. such as ethylene oxide. Ethylene oxide exposed lab rodents had similar cancers, and cellular studies confirm that ethylene oxide causes genetic (DNA) mutations and chromosomal damage that can lead to cancer (see summary of relevant cancer data here). According to The United States Environmental Protection Agency, The acute (short-term) effects of ethylene oxide in humans consist mainly of central nervous system (CNS) depression and irritation of the eyes and mucous membranes. Chronic (long-term) exposure to ethylene oxide in humans can cause irritation of the eyes, skin, and mucous membranes, and problems in the functioning of the brain and nerves. Some human cancer data show an increase in the incidence of leukemia, stomach cancer, cancer of the pancreas, and Hodgkin’s disease in workers exposed to ethylene oxide. However these data are considered to be limited and inconclusive due to uncertainties in the studies. EPA has classified ethylene oxide as a Group B1, probable human carcinogen. Another process of sterilizing spices is food irradiation. It is the process of using radiation to kill bacteria and other contaminants. But while radiation is used to reduce bacteria in the spices we are consuming, the finished product has decreased levels of vitamins and natural enzymes. Irradiation changes the chemical composition of a spice, potentially creating toxic, carcinogenic by-products in the food and increasing our exposure to free radicals. Free radicals cause aging and disease – something we want to avoid at all costs! A large number of spices on the market today contain monosodium glutamate (MSG), a known carcinogen, endocrine disrupter and killer of brain cells, which may also be linked to the development of cardiac problems, kidney problems, neurological disorders, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s and Lou Gehrig’s disease. It can also lead to inflammation, migraines, obesity and/or cell damage, to name only a few potential effects. MSG hides under many names, including but not limited to hydrolyzed protein, sodium caseinate, yeast extract, textured protein and autolyzed yeast. Most spices contain free glutamate- which is essentially the same as MSG. Instead of adding straight monosodium glutamate they process ingredients in such a way as to create free glutamic acid to get the desired effect without labeling. Artificial Colors, Preservatives, and GMOS Conventional spices can also contain Anti-caking agents that keep them from clumping together. GMO soy and corn derivatives Artificial colors Artificial flavors Preservatives Buy Organic Spices. Organic spices don’t contain any fillers, synthetic anti-caking agents, artificial colors, flavors or preservatives that may be found in conventional spices. They’re also not irradiated and are free of genetically modified ingredients.

What Happens To Your Body When you Quit Smoking For 1 hour, 1 Day, 1 Month and 1 Year
Already feeling sick and tired of smoking? Considering quitting? If yes, you're not alone! Today, there are a whole lot of reasons to quit smoking and the good news is, it's never too late to make the decision! As we already know, smoking is incredibly bad for your health — it's more like a way drawing yourself closer and closer to the grave! But the good news is, you can quit today and start getting your life back. Yes, the benefits of quitting smoking are almost instant — you're likely to see great improvements in as little as 20 minutes! It's however important to note that quitting smoking can be pretty tough in the beginning, but trust me, it's totally worth it! Just try to figure out a plan to handle those cravings, especially in the first few weeks — do this and you'll be well on your way to a new super healthy life. Here are some of the amazing benefits that come along with your decision to quit cigarettes. After 20 minutes to 1 hour As mentioned earlier, smokers are likely to experience impressive improvements in their health just minutes after quitting the habit. For the most part, after 20 minutes, your blood pressure starts to drop back to normal and overall circulation begins to improve. After 12 hours At this point, you should be aware that the cigarettes are chock full of harmful toxins including carbon monoxide. Of course, this gas is present in cigarette smoke and it turns out that excessive inhalation can be incredibly harmful to the body. What's more, carbon monoxide in cigarettes inhibits oxygen from getting into the lungs and blood, and prolonged inhalation within a short time can trigger suffocation. But the good news is, after just 12 hours without a cigarette, the body gets rid of the excess carbon monoxide and improve oxygen levels. After 24 hours Worried about suffering a heart attack as a result of smoking? If yes, you'll be glad to know that the risk decreases just after one day of quitting. Essentially, smoking lowers good cholesterol which eventually increases the risk of developing coronary heart disease. What's more, smoking raises blood pressure and even increase the risk of stroke. But as mentioned earlier, these risks can be alleviated in as little as one day after quitting smoking. Of course, within a short time, the body's oxygen levels increases making it easier for you to exercise and perform other heart-healthy habits. After 48 hours Smokers are also at risk of having damaged nerve endings; more like the ones responsible for senses of smell and taste. But the good news is, after just two days of quitting, the nerve endings may heal and of course, the person will begin to notice a heightened sense of both smell and taste. After 72 hours Made it to the third day? Well, at this point, the nicotine levels in the body are already depleted. Of course, this is a good thing but you should brace yourself for nicotine withdrawal. In essence, after three days of quitting, there's a high chance of experiencing irritability, moodiness, terrible headaches and even cravings. This is just the way your body readjusts to the change. After 1 month At this point, your lung function starts to improve — you may notice less coughing and less shortness of breath. What's more, you're likely to notice a renewed strength to perform cardiovascular activities including running and jumping. After 9 months After nine months of quitting smoking, your lungs will start getting its life back. For the most part, the cilia would have recovered from the harmful effects of cigarette smoke and you'll notice a significant decrease in the frequency of lung infections. For those who might not know, the cilia are delicate hair-like structures inside the lungs that help fight infections. After 1 to 5 years Right now, your risk of developing coronary heart disease will decrease by half and after five years, blood vessels and arteries will begin to widen. It's good to know that this widening indicates that blood is less likely to clot, and that's great. Of course, this improvement lowers the risk of stroke significantly and it continues to reduce as the body heals more and more. All in all, quitting smoking is totally worth it — it's a way of bringing your body back to life. Now it's up to you take the decision and live the super healthy life you've always wanted. CBD Oil Side Effects Warning (Do Not Buy CBD Until You See This)
3 simple tips to follow before buying: 1. Always check the CBD purity, it should be 50% and more. 2. Choose products made in the US or Canada. Due to strict regulations this is your quality guarantee. 3. Do not expect to purchase quality and safe to use CBD oil for pennies. High quality CBD oil should cost at least $45-$50. Choose another product if that amount puts you into an uncomfortable situation financially. Brands that I trust and recommend: 1. Verified CBD Oil (http://verifiedcbdoil.com). This is probably the oldest brand of CBD I know. Tons of success stories and quality I have tested myself - these are the reasons I have been recommending this brand to my friends and family for years. The only downside is that due to their recent TV "fame" they are often out of stock and can be hard to get. Official website: http://verifiedcbdoil.com Benefits and Side Effects of CBD Oil Cannabidiol, or CBD as it is commonly known, is a very interesting chemical. And it is responsible for many people changing their views on marijuana use for medicinal purposes. While everyone has heard of THC (tetrahydrocannabinol), not many are aware of CBD. The two chemicals are both contained in marijuana, but they serve very different purposes. While the THC in marijuana is will get you high, CBD is a chemical with many benefits from a medicinal point of view - and it does not have the same side effects on the body as THC. What are the Health Benefits of CBD Oil? The ingredient CBD has been used for many years to make several products. One of these products is CBD oil. According to many studies which have carried out on this product, there are many different health benefits associated with it. First and foremost, it can help people who are experiencing excessive nausea and vomiting due to chemotherapy or some other type of medical treatment. It is also great at reducing the seizures some people get on a regular basis. Another benefit of CBD oil is how it helps combat inflammation and neuro-degenerative disorders. It is also great for anxiety and depression sufferers. So if you are suffering from one of these conditions, you may want to talk to your physician about the possibility of getting on CBD oil for a few months. CBD oil also contain various o nutrients like carbohydrates, amino acids, vitamins such as vitamin B1, B2, B6, D and E, trace minerals such as calcium, iron zinc, magnesium potassium, and several other compounds required by the human body for healthy functioning, such as chlorophyll, carotene, ketones, glycosides, nitrogen-based compounds, etc.. Unlike THC, CBD oil doesn't make you high. The CBD in these this product will not make you feel the same as the THC does. This is because THC is a psychoactive chemical whereas CBD is not. It does not act in the same manner when it comes into contact with your brain's pathways. It does not interfere with your psychological or psychomotor functions either. For those who want a simpler explanation: CBD oil is 100% safe and won't get you high! Are there Any Side Effects of CBD Oil? Whereas CBD oil has been proven safe for human consumption, some researches done on it have identified a possibility of side effects in patients taking the oil. One study which was published in 1886 in the International Journal of Neuroscience showed that CBD oil could cause some mild side effects in patients with dystonia. These side effects include dry mouth, hypotension, sedation, psychomotor slowing, and lightheadedness. However, there are no side effects which have been reported when CBD is taken in high doses. As you can see, you should not worry when taking CBD oil as its side effects are very mild. Buy CBD oil today and experience the many benefits associated with it. What is NICOTINE GUM? What does NICOTINE GUM mean? NICOTINE GUM meaning & explanation
What is NICOTINE GUM? What does NICOTINE GUM mean? NICOTINE GUM meaning - NICOTINE GUM definition - NICOTINE GUM explanation. Source: Wikipedia.org article, adapted under https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/ license. SUBSCRIBE to our Google Earth flights channel - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC6UuCPh7GrXznZi0Hz2YQnQ Nicotine gum is a type of chewing gum that delivers nicotine to the body. It is used as an aid in nicotine replacement therapy (NRT), a process for smoking cessation and quitting smokeless tobacco. The nicotine is delivered to the bloodstream via absorption by the tissues of the mouth. It is currently available over-the-counter in Europe, the US and elsewhere. The pieces are usually available in individual foil packages and come in various flavors. Nicotine content is usually either 2 or 4 mg of nicotine, roughly the nicotine content of one sixth to one third of a cigarette, with the appropriate content and dosage depending on the smoking habits of the user. Popular brands include Nicotex, Nicoderm, Nicorette, Nicogum, Nicotinell and Zonnic. Alternative nicotine replacement products include the nicotine patch, nicotine pastilles/lozenges and the nicotine inhaler. Gum should not be used less than 15 minutes after eating or drinking as doing so will reduce absorption. Users are directed to chew the gum until it softens and produces a tingling sensation or "peppery" taste. The gum is then "parked," or tucked, in between the cheek and gums. When the tingling ends the gum is chewed again until it returns, and is then re-parked in a new location. These steps are repeated until the gum is depleted of nicotine (about 30 minutes) or the craving dissipates. Dosage suggested by the Dental-professional.com website is: weeks 1-6: 1 piece every 1 to 2 hours; weeks 7-9: 1 piece every 2 to 4 hours; weeks 10-12: 1 piece every 4–8 hours; no more than 24 pieces per day. Do not use for longer than 12 weeks. Pregnant women should neither smoke nor use NRT. Light smokers should use the 2 mg and heavy smokers the 4 mg; size of gum is the same for both doses. When used properly, about 3 mg is absorbed into the bloodstream from the 4 mg gum, and 1 mg from the 2 mg gum. Chewing nicotine gum may increase the risk of heart disease, although this is still debated. Nicotine is a vasoconstrictor; it constricts arteries, which increases the resistance against which the heart has to pump blood, effectively making it harder for the heart to pump blood through the body. The result is enhanced shear stress on vessel walls, and repeated nicotine exposure contributes to accelerated health problems that are a function of chronic vascular injury such as coronary artery disease, acute cardiac ischemic events, and hypertension Studies have shown that nicotine exposure contributes to stroke, peptic ulcer disease, and esophageal reflux. Nicotine may also cause wounds to heal more slowly and may be associated with reproductive toxicity. Additionally, nicotine can cause the body to release its stores of fat and cholesterol into the blood. Nicotine has been correlated in vitro with increased expression of a gene associated with oral cancer; the researchers say their work "raises the possibility that nicotine could potentially increase the risk of mouth cancer. We want to stress, however, that further research is needed to conclusively determine whether this is indeed the case. There is no doubt however about the harmful effects of smoking, so smokers should make every effort to quit." Professor Robert West points out that there are no epidemiological studies showing a correlation between nicotine replacement therapy and oral cancer. There is evidence that nicotine has the potential to prevent and treat Alzheimer's disease. Nicotine has been shown to delay the onset of Parkinson's disease in studies involving monkeys and humans. A study has shown a protective effect of nicotine itself on neurons due to nicotine activation of ?7-nAChR and the PI3K/Akt pathway which inhibits apoptosis-inducing factor release and mitochondrial translocation, cytochrome c release and caspase 3 activation. Research at Duke University Medical Center found that nicotine may improve the symptoms of depression. Nicotine appears to improve ADHD symptoms. Some studies have focused on benefits of nicotine therapy in adults with ADHD.....

Science has shown that beer can bring many surprising health benefits even though it’s usually perceived as unhealthy. However, remember the key to good health is moderation like a pint a day. Binge drinking on a Friday night will do way more damage and it would be unwise to justify poor habits with false science. So Here are some remarkable and surprising beer benefits that might change your perception of the drink. 1.It can help prevent kidney stones A study conducted in Finland established that moderate daily consumption of beer can reduce the risk of developing kidney stones by 40%. This health benefit is attributed to beer’s high water content (about 93%) that helps flush harmful toxins out of the body and keep the kidneys working properly. Also, compounds in hops used in brewing help slow the release of calcium from bones, which in turn prevents build up of lost calcium in the kidney in the form of stones. 2.It can help reduce risk of heart disease One eye-opening study conducted at Italy’s Fondazion di Ricerca e Cura found that people who drank a pint of beer daily had a 31% reduced chance of heart disease. This heart protecting power of beer stems largely from beer’s natural antioxidants called phenols. However, the study also showed risk of heart disease increased in people who consumed higher amounts of beer. 3.It can help minimize risk of cancer Beer contains an important antioxidant known as xanthohumol. Xanthohumol is known to have powerful anti cancer properties that help fend off cancer causing enzymes in the body. Specifically, moderate beer consumption helps prevent a certain chemical reaction that can lead to prostate cancer in men. Beer has also been shown to reduce the chances of getting breast cancer in women. 4.It can help reduce cholesterol levels If you’d like an unorthodox method for cutting your cholesterol levels, indulging in moderate beer consumption may be the way to go. The barley used in brewing of beer contains a type of soluble fiber known as beta glucans that has been shown to help in lowering cholesterol levels. 5.Reduce risk of stroke. Study discussed on Web-MD found occasional beer drinkers had a 12 percent decreased risk of ischemic stroke, compared with nondrinkers. On the flip side, heavy drinkers have a 33% increased risk of ischemic stroke. 6.Lower blood pressure. If you have a choice between beer, wine, or a cocktail, choose beer. Men's Health says a Harvard study found beer drinkers are less likely to develop high blood pressure than are wine and liquor drinkers. So now you have a reason to drink a pint everyday, remember the key to reaping these amazing health benefits of beer is moderate consumption. Overindulgence in beer and other alcoholic drinks can be disastrous to your health. Niacin Flushing Pathway [HD]
Niacin (or Nicotinic Acid, kindly note: there is no connection with nicotine whatsoever!) is a form of vitamin B3. Niacin is one of the essential nutrients for the human body. Niacin deficiency can cause pellagra, while insufficient niacin in the diet can cause nausea, skin and mouth lesions, anemia, headaches, and tiredness. A recommended daily allowance of niacin is 2–12 mg/day for children, 14 mg/day for women, 16 mg/day for men, and 18 mg/day for pregnant or breast-feeding women. These studies concluded that there is no added cardiovascular benefit by concomitant use of high doses of Niacin along with statin treatment. It seems though that Niacin treatment is effective in patients not treated with statins. Another form of vitamin B3 is Nicotinamide, but only Niacin has been found to have this strong effect on dyslipidaemia. Niacin treatment in such high doses can cause Flushing. The mechanism of Niacin induced flushing is described in this video.

CBD Oil Treatment helps in the treatment and prevention of many common ailments and diseases - such as joint pain, acne and insomnia. It’s also one of the safest and most natural ways to treat these issues, and does not have any negative side effects. If you’re interested in being involved in the cannabis industry, we can help! Contact Quantum 9 today! Medicinal CBD oil treatment has some hidden benefits you may not expect! CBD packs a serious punch when it comes to the treatment and prevention of many common ailments and diseases. AND it accomplishes all this without any sort of psychoactive high, hallucinations, paranoia, laziness, or other negative effects. Sooo… What is CBD? CBD is a cannabinoid that is commonly used in the form of an oil. It can be ingested or applied to the skin to receive the positive effects.   There are a variety of ways in which people can benefit from CBD oil treatment. Some may surprise you. Let’s dive in. Anti-Inflammatory Properties CBD is a natural anti-inflammatory.   When injured or defending itself against foreign invaders, the body naturally responds by sending extra attention to the affected area. This is known as inflammation.   Short-term inflammation is helpful , but long-term or chronic inflammation can be extremely damaging. Chronic inflammation has been linked to several diseases such as arthritis, asthma, emphysema, and heart disease.   CBD oil treatment can reverse and prevent those symptoms by reducing inflammation at the source. Acne Treatment and Prevention A lesser known benefit of CBD is its ability to treat and prevent acne. when your body over produces oil, it can cause acne.   CBD slows down the production of that oil, making it less likely that you will overproduce it. This can nip the acne in the bud.   Cigarette Addiction Treatment A recent study showed that CBD may have a valuable purpose in fighting nicotine withdrawal.   In a double placebo study smokers were given an inhaler to use when having the urge to smoke.   Those who used the inhaler that contained CBD, ended up decreasing consumption of cigarettes by almost 40% after only a week.     Anxiety Disorders and Stress Management CBD oil treatment reduces the body’s natural response to fearful circumstances like public speaking.   The reduction in anxiety can be attributed to the reduced heart rate and blood pressure caused by CBD. This creates a calming effect on the body, even in the face of stressful circumstances.   A Cure For Insomnia Since CBD can be so beneficial in combating anxiety, it’s no surprise that it can help our bodies calm down and get a restful sleep.   With no habit forming qualities or known side effects, CBD oil treatment may be one of the safest ways out there to cure insomnia.   And, these are just 5 of the medical issues that CBD can help you with, but the list continues to grow.   If you are interested in cannabis distribution including CBD oil, we’re here to help.   Contact us today!   If you liked this video, be sure to like, comment and subscribe!

What's the Deal with E-cigarettes and Vaping?
Healthcare Triage has merchandise! David Diamond - An Update on Demonization and Deception in Research on Saturated Fat...
This lecture is part of the IHMC Evening Lecture series. https://www.ihmc.us/life/evening_lectures/ For the past 60 years there has been a concerted effort to demonize saturated fats, found in animal products and tropical oils, and cholesterol, in our food and blood. Despite the well-established health benefits of diets rich in cholesterol and saturated fat, flawed, deceptive and biased research has created the myth that a low fat, plant-based diet is ideal for good health. I will deliver an update on a talk I gave 2 years ago at the IHMC in Ocala, which will provide a historical perspective on how poorly conducted epidemiological research, U.S. government intervention and misinformation conveyed by contemporary lifestyle researchers have contributed to the current state of confusion on dietary influences on health. In addition, I will discuss how biased research has created the false appearance that high levels of serum cholesterol cause heart disease. I will describe how researchers have used deceptive statistics to give health care providers and the public the false impression that statins produce a dramatic reduction in the incidence of cardiovascular disease and mortality. I will point out that the miniscule benefits of statins are offset by their well-documented adverse effects, such as promoting the development of type 2 diabetes, cognitive impairments, cataracts, muscle pain and wasting, and increased incidence of cancer. This talk will serve as a wake-up call for the public to educate themselves as to how to optimize their diet and cardiovascular health. David. M. Diamond received his Ph.D. in Biology in 1985, with a specialization in Behavioral Neuroscience, from the Center for the Neurobiology of Learning and Memory at the University of California, Irvine. He is a professor in the Departments of Psychology and Molecular Pharmacology and Physiology at the University of South Florida, where he has directed his research program on post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Dr. Diamond has served on federal government study sections and committees evaluating research on the neurobiology of stress and memory, and has over 100 publications, reviews and book chapters on the brain and memory. He has served on the editorial boards of numerous medical journals and has received 30 years of federally funded support for his research. In the past decade, Dr. Diamond has expanded his research program to include cardiovascular disease and nutrition. His controversial research is an extension of an advanced seminar he directs at the University of South Florida entitled “Myths and Deception in Medical Research”, which emphasizes the critical evaluation of methods and conflicts of interest in health-related research. In recent years he added to his list of publications controversial papers on diet, cholesterol and statins, including one paper published in the peer-reviewed medical journal “Expert Review of Clinical Pharmacology”, which described the deceptive practices employed by researchers promoting statins for the treatment of cardiovascular disease. Dr. Diamond has been invited to present his myth-busting views on nutrition and cholesterol to lay people and physicians at nutrition, cardiology, obesity and diabetes conferences all over the world.

This will help you quit smoking
Want To Get Rid of Smoking? Click the link below: http://tiny.cc/quit-smoking-fast There's hardly a part of the human body that's not affected by the chemicals in the cigarettes you smoke. Let's take a tour of your body to look at how smoking affects it. As a smoker, you're at risk for cancer of the mouth. Tobacco smoke can also cause gum disease, tooth decay and bad breath. The teeth become unsightly and yellow. Smokers may experience frequent headaches. And lack of oxygen and narrowed blood vessels to the brain can lead to strokes. Moving down to your chest, smoke passes through the bronchi, or breathing tubes. Hydrogen cyanide and other chemicals in the smoke attack the lining of the bronchi, inflaming them and causing that chronic smoker's cough. Because the bronchi are weakened, you're more likely to get bronchial infections. Mucus secretion in your lungs is impaired, also leading to chronic coughing. Smokers are 10 times as likely to get lung cancer and emphysema as non smokers. The effects of smoking on your heart are devastating. Nicotine raises blood pressure and makes the blood clot more easily. Carbon monoxide robs the blood of oxygen and leads to the development of cholesterol deposits on the artery walls. All of these effects add up to an increased risk of heart attack. In addition, the poor circulation resulting from cholesterol deposits can cause strokes, loss of circulation in fingers and toes and impotence. The digestive system is also affected. The tars in smoke can trigger cancer of the esophagus and throat. Smoking causes increased stomach acid secretion, leading to heartburn and ulcers. Smokers have higher rates of deadly pancreatic cancer. Many of the carcinogens from cigarettes are excreted in the urine where their presence can cause bladder cancer, which is often fatal. High blood pressure from smoking can damage the kidneys. The health effects of smoking have results we can measure. Forty percent of men who are heavy smokers will die before they reach retirement age, as compared to only 18 percent of nonsmokers. Women who smoke face an increased risk of cervical cancer, and pregnant women who smoke take a chance with the health of their unborn babies. But the good news is that when you quit smoking your body begins to repair itself. Ten years after you quit, your body has repaired most of the damage smoking caused. Those who wait until cancer or emphysema has set in are not so lucky - these conditions are usually fatal. It's one more reason to take the big step and quit smoking now. Many smokers do not realize that there are actually substance abuse treatment programs designed to help them quit the bad habit of smoking. how to help someone quit smoking cigarettes http://tiny.cc/quit-smoking-fast ways to help quit smoking tips to help quit smoking how many attempts does it take to quit smoking what's the best way to quit smoking how to make quitting smoking easier How To stop smoking http://tiny.cc/quit-smoking-fast This will help you quit smoking http://youtu.be/5CUdcMLV3uU

The Best Foods To Prevent Clogged Arteries!
OUR WEBSITE : http://justhealthrelated.com/ The Best Foods To Prevent Clogged Arteries! Arteries are the plumbing system of our body– they carry blood abundant in oxygen and nutrients to every cell. Similar to a house with bust plumbing is doomed, so is the body if we let the arteries get clogged and hardened. Food high in hydrogenated fats, processed sugars and chemicals, smoking and excessive alcohol consumption, and lack of exercise, will reduce the arteries’ circumference, as gunk gets deposited on the walls. This condition is known as arteriosclerosis, and it’s a significant risk factor for heart disease, heart attack and stroke. Can you reverse clogged arteries? According to WebMD, simple life changes, including what you eat, can undo a few of the damage. They mention Dr. Dean Ornish whose studies show that significant lifestyle changes had major effects on heart health. His studies reveal that even severely blocked arteries in the heart became less blocked after a year, and there was even more reversal after 5 years. Just as you can make your arteries deteriorate by what you eat, you can also keep them healthy by picking the best foods. Here is a list of foods that will help to prevent clogged arteries: #1. Kiwifruit and cantaloupe: Antioxidant-rich fruits that lower the LDL cholesterol (called ‘bad cholesterol’) in the blood, and reduce plaque adhered to arterial walls. Eat one kiwifruit a day, or a cup of cantaloupe. #2. Oily fish: Salmon, tuna and herring all contain omega-3 fatty acids, which are a source of good fats and prevent the clogging plaque from forming. Make sure you get sustainably captured fish, and avoid buying farmed salmon, as its meat usually contains harmful chemicals and has less omega-3. #3. Berries and red grapes: Grapes contain flavonoids, which stop the bad cholesterol from oxidizing. Strawberries, cherries, cranberries and other berries contain powerful anti-oxidants and are loaded with vitamins. Purchase them organic to avoid the pesticide overload. #4. Garlic: Garlic has lots of medicinal properties. It lowers blood pressure and bad cholesterol levels. For medicinal effect, consume one to two minced raw garlic cloves. If you use supplements, look for the amount of allicin which is the garlic’s active ingredient. #5. Apples and grapefruits: An apple a day keeps the doctor away. The pectin (soluble fiber) in these fruits, lowers the bad cholesterol, while the minerals potassium and magnesium aid to control blood pressure. #6. Spinach: Rich in vitamins A and C, which help to prevent the clogging plaque from developing. Popeye’s favorite food also contains a lot of potassium and folic acid, therefore reducing high blood pressure. #7. Olive oil: A source of omega-3 fatty acids, olive oil is one of the good oils. Use cold-pressed natural oil and apply moderation in the amounts you eat, as fat is still fat. #8. Tomatoes: Antioxidant-rich food that prevents the oxidization of LDL cholesterol. If you consume them regularly, you can cut your risk of arteriosclerosis by half. #9. Green tea: Flavonoids in green tea are effective anti-oxidants. A good quality green tea will also prevent the development of blood clots and help maintain healthy linings of the arteries. Drink a cup a day. #10. Toxins are any substance that can be poisonous or cause negative health effects. “Toxin” refers to all the metals, chemicals, pollutants, artificial food ingredients, pesticides, and poisons that cause the body harm. This audio works with the body's natural process to remove these from your body, So be careful as body odor and waste may have a higher smell than usual during the detox process and you may also experience sickly or flu like symptoms. Listen as much as you want until you achieve the cleansing you want. The video is only 4 minutes long because any longer can make you very sick. It would be a heavy detox at that point.
