The spreadsheet is designed to allow delegation of task, for example by lawyers to a legal assistant. It allows creation of tasks which are put on a task list and reordering of tasks according to priority. Assistants then move the tasks to a "completed tasks" section of the spreadsheet as the tasks are completed. The spreadsheet should be saved as a shared workbook so it can be simultaneously accessed by many users on a network e.g. lawyers adding tasks and assistants completing them. What is an M&E plan? A monitoring and evaluation plan details the logical framework, indicators, tools that will be utilized when operationalizing the monitoring and evaluation system. During the planning exercise, it becomes very vital to have present an M&E plan that has been developed using participatory means. Programs that are bringing development to communities will find it easier when M&E interventions are documented for the smooth running of an organization. Periodic training is required for all programme personnel to also familiarize themselves with the Monitoring and evaluation framework. By doing this survey a project manager will be best able to understand the baseline situation (or situation prior to project implementation). All architecture begins with a concept. If you’re struggling to find one, curious about what one is, or wondering how architects begin their projects; this short course will walk you through the process I use and some of the techniques I rely on to develop architectural concepts all illustrated with one of my residential projects. Design is a dialogue, and the concept ensures you have something to talk about. In this video I discuss the precise steps I take when beginning each project and how those steps lead me to an architectural concept. Before we can develop the concept, we have to first understand the practical constraints. My design process begins only after gathering and assessing all the given parameters for a project. Now, this primarily consists of three types of information. There’s information derived from the site - things like: local climate, the prevailing winds, the solar aspect, vegetation, neighboring structures, the site’s history, and any unique liabilities or opportunities. The site of course also comes along with legal frameworks for development, which describe where and what we can and can’t build. The second type of information we’ll gather is from the client. Every client has a set of cultural beliefs and preconceptions, preferences and agendas. Of course, we’ll want to determine their budget, and understand the personality traits and organizational politics which might also shape the design. The client and the building type together determine what architects call, “the program” which is essentially a detailed accounting of all the spaces the building will contain. And the third type of information I gather is related to the building typology – is it a museum, a home…or a school for example? To learn about a building typology we often conduct an analysis of notable or relevant historical precedents. We want to know the essential problems these types of structures grapple with. Understanding the history of the archetype allows us to approach a problem from a fresh perspective. All of this is necessary information that we collect for every project. This inventory can also serve as the progenitor for the design concept – our seed idea. And, rather than shunting creativity, these constraints often incite the creative process. Concept Inspirations Discussed: - Site - Client - Narrative - Materials - Structural - Mainifestos - Formal As with a good film, the setting, the characters, the cinematography, and the plot all conspire to make it what it is. It’s the experience you’ll recall rather than the concept per se. Sure, the concept sets the film in motion and it’s the starting point for all that follows. But this concept – the one or two-line description – can’t possible capture the richness and depth of the finished film…or in our case the architecture. Impress your colleagues by already knowing how by following these steps. Step 1: Bring a notebook Bring a notebook to the meeting with you. If you will be writing minutes often, you may want to buy a good notebook to keep your minutes in rather than a cheap one. Tip If you have a laptop, you should use it to save time later. Step 2: Send around a sign in sheet Create a simple sign-in sheet that has columns for name and contact information and pass it around. You will be able to refer to this record in order to document attendance. Tip Find out who was supposed to be there and make sure you include the people who did not attend in the minutes under regrets. Step 3: Begin note-taking Begin note-taking by noting the date of the meeting and the time the meeting was called to order. Step 4: Record old business Record old business, which is anything that needed a follow up from the last meeting. Note anything that was done or not done and by whom. Step 5: Record new business Record new business. For example, when someone has an issue to address they will make a motion. Note exactly what they said along with who seconded the motion and whether or not the motion passed. Step 6: Finish notes Write down any action items or things specific participants agreed to do, but don't transcribe word for word debates or discussions. End the notes with the time the meeting adjourned and the date of the next meeting. Step 7: Type and distribute Type up the minutes as soon as possible after the meeting so it's fresh in your mind. The video was made using Access 2010, however the process is very similar in Access 2007 and Access 2013. We'll be going as far as setting up the database tables, which traditionally would be stored in a so-called 'back end' database file, while forms, queries and report, which are not covered in any details by this tutorial, would be stored in a separate 'front end' database file. The tables from the back end are then 'linked' to the front end, so that it behaved as if all the objects were in one file. In some places we have made the design deliberately simple in order to keep our relationships clean and the number of tables low. This helps those new to Access to get their heads around how to create the database, but for actual use, might cause problems. We recommend that you learn more about database design from other sources before beginning your project if you intend to use it for a real business. Key topics to consider are: database normalisation theory; Inner, Left, Right and Outer Joins; Basic SQL (structured query language) use; Software Development Methodologies; UX (user experience) enhancement techniques; and of course, the very specific needs of your business, project or client. All together, a broad knowledge of these topics will allow you to design your tables with enough foresight to make the setting up of the queries, forms and reports you'll need later as easy as possible. Plus it should make the system easy to use and less likely to be corrupted or crash. Keep in mind that even if your stock database needs don't fit very well with our example parts database, or if you need an entirely different kind of system like an accounts database or CRM database, the lessons in this tutorial can still apply.

08 common Interview question and answers - Job Interview Skills 1. "Tell me a little about yourself." You should take this opportunity to show your communication skills by speaking clearly and concisely in an organized manner. Because there is no right or wrong answer for this question, it is important to appear friendly. 2. "What are your strengths?" This is a popular interview question. They want to know what you think of yourself. Although this is a general question, there is a wrong and right answer. The wrong answer is a generic answer saying you are organized and friendly. Although it will not hurt you during the interview, it will certainly not help you either. Answer this question based on the type of job you are applying for. 3. "What are your weaknesses?" For this answer, you should display a weakness that can be seen as a strength. There are many types of answers that will work. Some answers will be good answers for certain jobs, while the same answer will be a bad answer for a different job. Select an answer that will work for the position you are applying for. 4. "Where do you see yourself in five years?" This question primarily depends on where you are in your career. A person with 5 years of experience will have different goals than a person with no work experience.This question is asked to see how serious a candidate is about his or her career. Some people might not know their goals, and some people might have goals of becoming rich and retiring early. Those are incorrect answers for this question. The type of answer you want to give is an ambitious answer that shows you really love your career. A good interviewer will read between the lines and find out if a person is going to be a hard worker or just a mediocre one. Being descriptive and shooting for a big goal is something interviewers want to hear. 5. "What do you know about our company?" A typical job interview question, asked to find out how much company research you have conducted, is "What do you know about this company?" Prepare in advance, and in a word, research, so you can provide relevant and current information about your prospective employer to the interviewer. 6. "Are you good at dealing with change?" Dealing with change is common in the work place. A simple yes will not be sufficient to impress the interviewer. This is another type of question where everyone will have similar answers. Of course everyone is going to claim being excellent dealing with change. You got to communicate that you are really good at dealing with change. 7. "Do you work well under pressure?" In most cases, the best answer to this question is answering yes. Working well under pressure is a good trait to have. However, I think if you answer that you work the same with pressure and without pressure, the interviewer will be more impressed. However, you will need to explain in words why this is better. 8. "How do you make important decisions?" There are many ways to answer this question, and if you have a reasonable method of making decisions, it will probably be sufficient. One answer I thought of included not being afraid of asking your manager. You can follow up by saying even the best needs mentoring, and you always want to improve. So basically, this could work as an answer, but depending on the job, you might have a better shot with an answer like my example.

In this session, our trainer Saket is answering questions related to PMP Exam Preparation. Student: Next question is when to update the issue log like there was one question during the meeting one of the stakeholders has raised the concern what you should do next. Like the options were given update different plans and the last option was update the issue log. So the answer would be update the issue log, right? Saket: True, so I would say it's again the most appropriate thing at that point in time looking at the various possible options. So, the thing is if somebody saying Ok I don't like meeting at 9am and I want to meet at 11 am now we can't just change the time of the meeting from 9 am to 11 am because somebody said that at the same time we cant ignore that somebody is very very uncomfortable with 9 am meeting. Now first thing is that we acknowledge this an issue so that we can appropriately work with respective stakeholders and find out can we move the meeting from 9 am to 11 am or not so it may trigger a change request or it may get resolved by way of non change request procedures but first we need to identify it that Ok there is uncomfortable stage which person is raising issue log may get triggered into a change request issue recorded in issue log may get converted into change request issue may recorded into issue log, may directly update the project management plan or may get just clarified without doing any of these two things so we don't change anything we just clarify to stakeholder his misunderstanding or whatever it is. Again just as a concept when the context of the question and based on the answers provided the best suitable answer should be selected. Like if there are the options also give update changelog, update project management plan update issue log but if the concern raised by stakeholder is that it might lead to the answer will change request because it is fitting most appropriately that situation right? True, generals are primarily used for individual personal specifications so if I see some functionality or I see some project deliverables and I find that project deliverable should be behaving in a different way then I directly go with change request path so I do an impact analysis I raise the change request about it because it is clear understanding of changing the deliverable. When somebody is not saying change it. I pick my example back rather than saying I want to move this 9 am to 11 am I am only saying this 9 am meeting not working for me. Now I am not requesting a change. I'm just raising an issue that this 9am meeting is not working for me okay. This is like a paved issue, this is just like not even recommending what to do but frankly, we have a conversation with whom 9 am meeting is not working then what possibility should work. He says its good if you can move to 11 am you have an agreement on it okay. Now let me raise a change request that can we move this meeting from 9 am to 11 am every week and the process is the stakeholder will vote on it and we decide the change request is approved or not. So issue got converted into change request change request got converted into integrated change control, people accepted or rejected it, if they accept it then communication management plan get updated that yes now onward this particular meeting will happen at 11 am rather than 9 am so now I refine my understanding of issue by way saying that issue is more to do with sharing uncomfortable situation unhappiness without having an idea of how do I want to change it. Okay, if I raise the change request as you said after that I will update communication Yeah, so if the change request gets approved. The initial communication management plan was saying that review meeting happens 9am every Friday somebody says this is not good for me it's okay you have an issue. Then we the project manager went and says you raised the issue in the last meeting saying 9 am is not working for you what possible we can do you had brainstorming then stakeholder says if you guys can meet at 11 am that would be comfortable for me project manager says let me do impact analysis and take an agreement from other stakeholders So acknowledge there is change request for post in a communication management plan, there you want to move the meeting from 9 am to 11 am so project manager raises the change request mentions that this part of communication management plan requires a change then it goes to people who are getting impacted so they integrated change control looks into the feasibility of approval process of doing it. The weather was incredible, warm and sunny one day with deer coming out to dine on the acorns exposed by the melting snow, but the next day, rain ice pellets fell all night long before changing to snow the following day. It was not the worst ice storm I've witnessed, not like the ice storm of several years ago that shut the northeast down for a few days, but it did some damage. Log Cabin: The Bear Den https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL-UbUksm4nPmy72sCsMtEbyUOr4XojCsG With our DJI Mavic Pro drone, my wife got some incredible aerial footage and photographs of raging rivers, pristine Canadian wilderness in the snow and the log cabin. The rustic tiny house is extremely hygge right now, especially when my wife and dog are there and the fire in the woodstove is burning, the candles and lanterns are lit and the furs are piled high on the bed. It's extremely cozy now that the floor is insulated and the spaces between the logs have been filled. Woodworking and bushcrafting the structure was very rewarding, but the interior finishes are the icing on the cake. Whenever I'm inside with the fire burning and I look out through the windows and the winter storms raging, I'm inspired to finish the tiny log house as soon as possible so that I can get working on the front porch, the outdoor kitchen, the cellar, workshop, maple syrup shack and more. I'm particularly excited to live off the land, foraging for wild plants and edibles, growing my own vegetables and becoming self reliant. I can use this off grid cabin as a shelter and base where I can practice living off the land and use primitive technology, learn bushcraft skills, improve my survival skills and my self reliance. Of course, no video would be complete without the meals that I prepare on the wood stove over the fire with cast iron cookware. In this episode, I make stewed venison spiced with garam masala, with leeks, onions and broccoli. For breakfast, I have fresh chicken eggs from the nearby rural homestead where they raise chickens and turkeys. I will be showing how I put the eggs in long term storage, preserving the food for the future. My dog and I fall asleep to the hooting of barred owls, and the wind through the trees and the falling rain were a big ASMR triggers for me. It's deep winter outside, but in the cabin was cosy and warm. Sometimes I think living off grid in a tiny house seems much easier, away from the daily stress of life. In fact, dealing with my high blood pressure and becoming much healthier is my motivation for building this cabin and living the simple life. Not my only motivation of course, I'm also inspired by my wife and my parents, who are living long and happy lives. Inspiration is important in this crazy world, and of course I'm not the only one who wants to escape from society and retreat to a cabin in the woods. To accomplish my goal of living off grid with as little money as possible, living cheap and saving money wherever possible, I need to continue to hone my woodworking and bushcraft skills, along with tree identifications, foraging, making maple syrup, harvesting chaga, catching fish and game, preserving food for long term storage (dehydrating, salting, curing, smoking, freezing, drying). When taking lock stitches (regular sewing machine stitches) out of woven or knit fabrics always pull the bobbin thread. They both agree snipping the thread every few inches and stitching with the longest stitch length possible for your project and desired effect (even if that means only going to a 3 mm) will be a big help if you need to do some stitch editing. They are also huge advocates for using a slightly different colored bobbin thread than your fabric and top thread. This will make it easier to differentiate which is the bobbin thread. Overlock (serger) stitching is a little different. They again highly suggest thread blending. This time you will be pulling the needle threads. If done correctly the looper threads will just fall away from your fabric edge. To remove satin type stitches like buttonholes and embroidery you will want to gently shave the back of the stitches with a razor or specialty tool. They urge you to keep the stabilizer on the fabric and to NOT unhoop your embroidery project. Once you remove the stitching you will be all set to restitch.
