Life Cycle of a Butterfly | #aumsum #kids #education #lifecycle #butterfly

05:16
Our topic for today is Life Cycle of a Butterfly. A butterfly lays eggs on the leaves of a plant. These eggs hatch and young ones called larvae or caterpillars come out of the eggs. The caterpillar starts feeding on the leaves and starts to grow. It sheds its skin several times so that it can grow. Once the caterpillar is big enough, it stops eating. It then forms a protective layer around itself. This stage is called chrysalis or pupa. The caterpillar remains motionless in the cocoon for about 10-15 days. Inside the cocoon, the caterpillar undergoes a series of changes. After about 15 days, a beautiful adult butterfly emerges out of the cocoon. These series of changes in the life cycle of a butterfly is called metamorphosis.

Project Management Simplified: Learn The Fundamentals of PMI's Framework ✓

50:41
✅The best jobs no longer go to the best candidates. Times have changed. They now go to the people with the best strategies. We transformed over 5,000 careers. Join me at LIG and let me show you how yours will be the next career transformed; http://lig.academy Welcome to this week's episode where I make project management simple for you. To make it applicable to the majority of the audience, I am teaching Project Management Institute's (PMI) project management framework. ________________________________________________ Textbooks and frameworks are always boring. So, to make project management more interesting for you, I ran a project to demonstrate what steps to take and when. You won't regret spending 50 minutes to learn the basics of a wonderful practice called project management. You can also download all the templates I used in the session here (no need to register); https://thecareermastery.com/career-tips/project-management-simplified/ Although I strongly recommend you watch the entire session without skipping, for those of you who are just looking for snippets of information, you may find below the index of the video; 03:03 What is a project, program, and portfolio and how are they different from operations? 04:08 Project = Project Life Cycle + Project Management Process 04:43 Project Life Cycle 06:52 Process Groups 09:27 LIG, PMP certification or CAPM certification, which one is right for you? [Hint: I am biased!] 11:53 Process Groups - Initiation 13:06 Process Groups - Initiation - Project Charter 16:50 Process Groups - Initiation - Stakeholder Identification 18:17 Process Groups - Planning 20:30 Process Groups - Planning - Collecting Requirements 22:45 Process Groups - Planning - Defining the Scope 24:41 Process Groups - Planning - Scope Baseline 25:12 Process Groups - Planning - Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) 32:22 Process Groups - Planning - WBS Dictionary & Scope Creep 34:39 Process Groups - Planning - Time Management / Developing a Schedule 36:00 Process Groups - Planning - Gantt Chart 37:38 Process Groups - Planning - Fast Tracking a Project & Project Crashing 38:52 Process Groups - Planning - Cost Management 39:42 Process Groups - Planning - Budget development (for PMP or CAPM takers) 41:02 Process Groups - Executing 42:04 Process Groups - Executing - Gold Plating 43:16 Process Groups - Monitoring and Controlling 45:00 Process Groups - Monitoring and Controlling - Earned Value 47:57 Process Groups - Closing Process Group _______________________________________________________________ What is even a project? It definitely has a sexy tone to it right? Project… I just love the way it sounds. I wonder how cool it must sound in French. Proje… Well, project is a temporary endeavor to create a unique solution. Yeah that’s operations. No Well, the difference between a project and operations is fairly simple. A project ends. So, it’s temporary. You implement your project, you close it, you create a unique product/service/ or whatever outcome you wanted then you are done. Whereas in operations, it’s on-going and repetitive. You may have also heard about the terms program and portfolio. Let me just quickly explain them here. Program is multiple projects put together. Combined. And Portfolio is similarly. Multiple programs put together. So, it’s project, program, portfolio. Now before I go further, and dive deep. You need to understand something crucial. To run any project, you need 2 methodologies. The first one is a project life cycle and the second one is project management process. Most people confuse these 2. And if these are not clear, you can kiss the PMP certification goodbye. It’s absolutely amazing how many content creators in YouTube confuse these two. They are not interchangeable. You cannot afford to confuse a project life cycle with a project management process. Don’t worry I am going to make it very simple for you. Let’s start with Project Life Cycle. Project Life Cycle is unique to a project, to an industry, to your needs. It’s highly customizable. Think of it like this; a human development is a project. So, your life cycle is; 1) Conceiving 2) Birth 3) Childhood 4) Teenage hood. Teenage hood. Is that a word? Teenaging? 5) Adulthood 6) And death Easy stuff right? So, now if it was an IT project. I am not an IT but it would like something like this; High-level design Detailed Design Coding Testing Installation And Turnover This is project life cycle. The term cycle is a bit confusing here. I think. But who knows. This video covers; project management project management institute pmp project management professional certification project life cycle project management PMI managing a project project management fundamentals fundamentals of project management project management for beginners project management course

Seed Germination | #aumsum #kids #education #science #seeds

05:28
Our topic for today is Seed Germination. The life of a plant begins from a tiny seed. The seed is protected by an outer covering called a seed coat. The seed contains a small baby plant called the embryo. Conditions required for the growth of a seed are Moisture, Warmth, Nutrient rich soil, Sunlight and Good quality seed. Once, these conditions are satisfied, the seed begins to grow. The seed absorbs water from the soil and provides moisture to the embryo. The plant cells inside the seed start duplicating, enzymes get activated and the embryo starts getting nourishment. The first sign of growth is a tiny root which comes out of the seed. With more and more nourishment, the embryo starts growing. Eventually, the growing plant bursts open through the seed coat in search of sunlight to start its own process of photosynthesis. Once the seed coat falls off, the root starts growing downwards to anchor the seed and to search for more food and nutrients from the soil. Meanwhile, the shoot also starts growing upwards towards the light. Soon, we see a baby plant with tiny leaves. This process of the growth of a seed into a plant is called germination.

The Water Cycle- How rain is formed-Lesson for kids

02:44
Enjoy learning about the water cycle for kids in a fun way. Understand how the water cycle works with our facts that explains the different processes in a way that's easy to follow. Q.What is the Water Cycle? A.The Water Cycle is the journey water takes as it circulates from the land to the sky and back again. Q.Why do we need the water cycle? A.The Earth is covered by water, however, almost 97% is salt water found in the oceans. We can not drink salt water or use it for crops because of the salt content. We can remove salt from the ocean water, but this cycle process is very expensive. Q.What are the steps of water cycle? A.Evaporation: The changing of water into a gas is called Evaporation. Condensation: The changing of water vapor into water droplets is called Condensation Precipitation: Water falls from the sky in the form of rain, snow or hail. This process is called precipitation. Collection: Oceans and lakes collect water that has fallen. Water evaporates into the sky again and the cycle continues. Mitosis: The Amazing Cell Process that Uses Division to Multiply! (Updated)

08:27
Updated Mitosis Video. The Amoeba Sisters walk you through the reason for mitosis with mnemonics for prophase, metaphase, anaphase, and telophase. Expand details to see table of contents.👇 Video handout here: http://www.amoebasisters.com/handouts Table of Contents: Why is Mitosis Important? 0:44 Why Don't You Want Cells Dividing all the Time? 2:00 Interphase (occurs before mitosis) 2:23 DNA and Chromosomes 2:55 Chromosome Replication 4:07 PMAT Mitosis Stages 5:30 Cytokinesis (actual splitting of cell) 7:30 We appreciate the feedback we get for what we need to clarify or should have added. Here is a clarification (also pinned in comments): We mention mitosis as "a type of cell division." To be more specific, it's a division happening within the cell---in the nucleus. But we do not introduce the nucleus until later on in video. Mitosis is specifically the division happening of the nucleus whereas cytokinesis follows to do the actual splitting of the cell (cytokinesis at 7:30). Some sources separate the cytokinesis event completely from mitosis---some do not---our video does not specify. Also, some texts will also include prometaphase, a stage in between prophase and metaphase. In this short vid, that stage is not included, but we encourage you to explore it! Cell Division and the Cell Cycle

05:35
This dramatic video choreographed to powerful music introduces the viewer/student to the wonder and miracle of the cell division and cell cycle. It is designed as a motivational "trailer" to be shown by Biology, Biochemistry and Life Science teachers in middle and high school and college as a visual "Introduction" to this miracle of life. As a high school Biology teacher myself, I have found this video to truly inspire my students to want to learn more about the topic. Please rate this video and feel free to comment. If you like it, please help me spread the word by posting links on your media websites. The more students who can enjoy these dramatic videos, the better! To view all of my videos in Biology, Earth Science, and Astronomy, subscribe to my channel at: http://www.youtube.com/user/sfgregs?feature=mhum. I will be releasing new videos periodically. I wish to thank all the quality video and music producers whose postings enabled me to assemble this video for educational use. To best enjoy this video, turn up your speakers. The music is very powerful and dramatic! The music is "Pure Spirit of the Forest" from the movie, Avatar. I can customize this video to add your name or school name at the end credits, for a very modest fee. If interested, email me at "fsgregs@comcast.net" Until recently, you were able to download my videos for free from my other video storage site (vimeo.com). Recently, however, they began charging a significant membership fee to enable that feature, so I regret that downloading from there is no longer available. However, you can search for and obtain free download addons for your browser that will allow you to download my videos from either YouTube or Vimeo.

Animal Life - CBSE Class V Science lesson

05:51
Animal Life - CBSE Class V Science lesson by Soma Mukhopadhyay Animal Life Habitat and Adaptation The environment in which an animal or a plant lives naturally is called its habitat. An adaptation is any change in an animal, that gives it an advantage for survival in its environment. Breathing in Animals Breathing is essential for survival. LUNGS Birds, mammals and reptiles breathe with the help of their lungs. All mammals including human beings, breathe through nose. From the nose, air is carried to the lungs. Whales are mammals living in water and having large lungs which help them to breathe in a lot of air. They come up to the surface of water to breathe. SPIRACLES Insects like flies, mosquitoes and butterflies breathe through air holes present in their body, which are called spiracles. A frog is adapted to both types of breathing as it lives both on land and in water. Hence frogs breathe through lungs as well as through moist skin. Conflict in Israel and Palestine: Crash Course World History 223

12:53
In which John Green teaches you about conflict in Israel and Palestine. This conflict is often cast as a long-term beef going back thousands of years, and rooted in a clash between religions. Well, that's not quite true. What is true is that the conflict is immensely complicated, and just about everyone in the world has an opinion about it. John is going to try to get the facts across in under 13 minutes. Mammals | Educational Video for Kids

05:41
▶ SUBSCRIBE HAPPY LEARNING! http://bit.ly/HappyLearningTV Educational Videos and songs for Kids. Today we’re going to learn about mammals! The diversity of mammals is amazing. They can be as huge as these whales,or as tiny as this cute little balancing mouse. They can be noisy like this howler monkey, or quiet like this hedgehog with its sharp, pointy spines. Even though they’re amazingly diverse, all mammals have a number of common characteristics you should know about, so you can recognize and differentiate them. All mammals are viviparous, they are born from their mothers’ womb. In their early stages of life, they feed on milk, which they get from their mothers' breasts where the mammary glands are. And that’s why they’re called mammals. And when they’re little, they’re so cute, aren’t they? Mammals reproduce by internal fertilization when a sperm cell and an egg join inside the female. As you can see, they have teeth inside their mouths, and lips around them so they can eat and suck milk. Most mammals’ bodies are covered with hair, and all mammals breathe with their lungs, even if they live in the sea. Look at these dolphins coming to the surface for air. The body temperature of mammals doesn’t depend on whether it’s cold or hot outside, because they can maintain their own internal temperature. Almost all mammals are terrestrial, like camels, and jaguars. Some live in the sea and are called Marine mammals, like these dolphins, and these seals,There's even a flying mammal, bats are the only mammal that flies. Mammals have four limbs, which vary depending on where they live. Land mammals have legs,so they can walk, and run when they need to,and Jump.,and sometimes even climb. Marine mammals have fins so they can swim very fast... And flying mammals have wings so they can fly through the sky... Do you know which is the most wonderful mammal that lives on Earth?Human beings! People are mammals too... How mammals feed Depending on what they eat, mammals can be classified into different groups. Herbivores only eat plants and their teeth are especially designed for grinding. Horses, sheep and llamas are herbivorous mammals. Some very special herbivores are called ruminants. They swallow their food almost without chewing it, and some of it is digested normally, but some of it is stored in their stomach, and when they want to, they regurgitate it into their mouth to digest it again. Cows, giraffes and goats are ruminants. Carne means skin or meat in Latin, and that’s what carnivores eat: the flesh of other animals. Their teeth are large and sharp for hunting and tearing at their food. Carnivores that eat insects and other invertebrates are called insectivores, like these anteaters. Omnivorous mammals feed on both meat and plants. Bears, monkeys and humans are omnivores: we can eat a tasty burger with lettuce and tomato.  So, let's remember, Mammals are viviparous, and in their early stages of life they feed on milk from their mother’s breasts,They have lips and breathe with their lungs,Their body temperature does not depend on the environment they are in, and depending on their food sources, they may be herbivores, carnivores or omnivores. Easy, right? So goodbye for now, everybody! And don’t forget to subscribe to Happy Learning!

Global Warming. The thicker layer of greenhouse gases traps more heat. This result in an increase in average temperature of the earth and the earth becomes hotter and hotter. This is called global warming. If we do not take steps to reduce global warming, it will lead to loss of human lives, plants and animals. Steps to reduce global warming: Plant more trees. Reduce, reuse and recycle. Use less hot water. Turn off electronic devices when not in use. Spread awareness. Come on everybody, let us reduce global warming.
