Hear The Whisper

03:43
The inspiration for this video and song came from an incredible horse named Petey. He has truly touched my heart and changed my life forever. Petey is a PreMarin (Pregnant Mare Urine) colt. He was rescued from a PMU farm in Canada when he was 3 months old. I first met him at the Ray of Light Farm in CT, when he was a yearling. It was shocking to learn about the devastation imposed upon the lives of the mares used to make this drug and on their innocent foals. Pregnant mares used for Premarin production are often confined to narrow tie stalls where they cannot turn or lie down for weeks at a time without release for exercise. This chronic lack of exercise can cause severe swelling of the legs, breakdown of the hoof structure and sets the stage for colic. They are harnessed to urine collection bags six months a year. The mares may be impregnated for production for 8 to 9 years. At the end of their use, they are sent to slaughter. The PMU grade (mixed breed) foals, innocent by-products of this industry, have almost no chance to find homes as sport horses, working horses or pets. At two to five months old, the foals are taken from their mothers and sent to auctions where they ultimately end up in the slaughterhouse. When I met Petey, I was deeply moved by his calm presence and unique beauty. His amazing spirit compelled me to honor him and others like him with the words and music to "Hear the Whisper." I hope you enjoy the story, as Petey truly helped me find the Ray of Light that lives within us all. The only way we can stop this atrocious treatment of mares and foals like Petey is to squelch the demand for the product. Thankfully, the number of PMU farms has been decreasing. Currently, there are around 37,000 broodmares on 422 PMU farms and ranches in Canada and the US. However, foals are still sold at auction by the hundreds to feedlot operators, who then send them to slaughter for European and Asian meat markets. HERE'S HOW YOU CAN HELP: 1. View the entire video! I wanted to create a way to support the work being done to close down PMU farms on behalf of foals like Petey. The owner of one PMU farm in Canada has agreed to close down this year if enough money can be raised. Horse whisperer Anna Twinney is leading in this effort, along with the Equine Angels Rescue Sanctuary, Ray of Light Farm and the Equine Voices Rescue & Santuary. Please take the time to offer your support to any of these amazing groups. Their websites are listed at the end of this presentation. 2. Do not use any product made from Pregnant Mares Urine. The synthetic alternatives are safe, reliable and very effective. Most importantly, there are no animals suffering from its production. If you are a woman being prescribed "Premarin" which is manufactured by Wyeth-Ayerst as an estrogen replacement, ask your doctor about synthetic alternatives such as: Cenestin by Duramed, Climara by Berlex, Estrace by Mead/Johnson, Estratab by Solvay, Ogen by Upjohn, Ortho-Est by Ortho-Mcneil, Provera by Upjohn, Estinyl by Sherin, Estradrem by Ciba. All of these products are made from plant materials such as soy, yams and other vegetable sources. 3. Help educate others about the drug Premarin. SHARE this video on your FB profile. 4. In addition to financial donations, you can sponsor, foster and adopt! Together, we can make a difference! Thank you.

More than a hundred thousand pregnant mares are confined to tiny stalls, for 6-7 months of their eleven-month pregnancies, for the sake of collecting their urine. The mare’s estrogen-rich urine is used for the manufacture of estrogen replacement drugs such as Premarin, PremPro, PremPhase and Duavee. Usually the mares go through this misery cycle for about 12 years. For some it goes on for 20 consecutive years This grousome industry is commonly referred to as the Pregnant Mare’s Urine or the PMU industry. Perimenopausal bleeding - Conjugated equine estrogens

03:48
Conjugated equine estrogens http://perimenopausalbleeding.mymenopauseonline.com/ Conjugated equine estrogens contain estrogen molecules conjugated to hydrophilic side groups (e.g. sulfate) and are produced from the urine of pregnant Equidae (horses) mares. Premarin is the prime example of this, either alone or in Prempro, where it is combined with a synthetic progestin, medroxyprogesterone acetate. Women had been advised for many years by numerous doctors and drug company marketing efforts (at least in the USA) that hormone therapy with conjugated equine estrogens after menopause might reduce their risk of heart disease and prevent various aspects of aging. However, a large, randomized, controlled trial (the Women's Health Initiative) found that women undergoing HT or HRT with conjugated equine estrogens (Premarin), in combination with a synthetic progestin (medroxy pogesterone acetate (Premarin plus Provera, known as Prempro)), had an increased risk of breast cancer and heart disease[40]. An increase in breast cancer risk was not seen in the Women's Health Initiativestudy of conjugate estrogen alone (Premarin) versus placebo, however this study was stopped prematurely as an increased risk of stroke was observed in women treated with Premarin. Although this increase in risk was small overall, it passed the thresholds that had been established by the researchers in advance as sufficient to ethically require stopping the study. When these results were first reported in 2002, the popular media sensationalized the story and exaggerated the risk, while the manufacturer continued to attempt to minimize the degree of risk. However most news stories failed to mention that the average age of the women in WHI was 62 years old, significantly older than the time when most women start HRT, and in fact many years into postmenopause. In order to enroll in the study, patients had to be asymptomatic of hot flashes, so they would not know whether they received the placebo. For these reasons WHI was not representative of generally accepted clinical practice. The 2002 and 2003 announcements of the Women's Health Initiative of the American National Institute of Health and The Million Women Study of the UK Cancer Research and National Health Service collaboration respectively, that HRT treatment coincides with a increased incidence of breast cancer, heart attacks and strokes, lead to a sharp decline in HRT prescription throughout the world, which was followed by a decrease in breast cancer incidence. On hearing the news about the WHI study, many women discontinued equine estrogens altogether, with or without their doctor's knowledge. The number of prescriptions written for Premarin and PremPro in the United States dropped within a year almost to half of their previous level. This sharp drop in usage was followed by large and successively larger drops in new breast cancer diagnoses, at six months, one year, and 18 months after the drop in Premarin and Prempro prescriptions, for a cumulative 15% drop by the end of 2003. However, the apparent meaning of this correlation is called into question by the fact that prescriptions of Prempro and Premarin fell dramatically in Canada as well, but no similarly dramatic drop in Canada's breast cancer rates was observed during the same time period. Studies designed to track the further progression of this trend after 2003 are under way, as well as studies designed to quantify how much of the drop was related to the reduced use of HT/HRT.

Raising awareness against horse slaughter. Ignoring it will not make it stop. Some photos may cause heartbreak and (hopefully) anger and determination. Horse slaughter continues unchallenged in Canada though the majority of it's citizens are against it. PMU farms are big business in Canada producing Premarin, a hormone replacement drug. This is a very cruel industry from many different angles. Wyeth Ayerst is the manufacturer of this drug. Don't believe any lies or propaganda you may hear or read from those involved. They do not care about the horses. I hope to share what I learn because knowledge is power. The slaughter industry counts on public ignorance.

Anti-Aging Secrets On The Way To Work # 53

03:48
The hormones studied in the Women's Health Initiative were Premarin and PremPro. Premarin contains at least 17 different horse Estrogens and comes from pregnant horses urine. Only one of these 17 Estrogens are similar to our Estradiol. The rest are foreign hormones to the human body. The PremPro is a mix of Premarin and the Medroxyprogesterone. Medroxyprogesterone is that synthetic Progestin I told you about that is the true culprit for slightly increasing a woman's risk of breast cancer and heart disease. (Remember Estrogen does not increase these risks.) Medroxyprogesterone is used with Premarin to prevent the uterine lining from enlarging when a woman uses Estrogen. I highly recommend staying clear from these drug hormones. Once started on either of these medication hormones, it can be far more difficult to get off of them and get on the much more gentler and natural bioidentical hormones. For most women, bioidentical hormones provide all the benefits as quickly, gently and effectively as the synthetic icky stuff. Now how often can you say THAT about natural verses drugs. That's right, bioidentical hormones at natural human body doses are exactly what your body is asking for and does your body good.

AP reports on cruelty to horses sent to Puerto Rico

You cannot transport horses in the US roadways, even back when there was horses being taken to the slaughterhouse, you could not even take them to the slaughterhouse in these containers." FILE: Canovanas - 12 May 2008 4. Amateur video of conditions inside of container used to transport horses Caguas - 12 June 2008 5. SOUNDBITE (English) Jose Garcia Blanco, Medical Director at racetrack veterinary clinic: "They couldn't move laterally, they couldn't move forward or backwards, they couldn't turn around, they couldn't lay down, they couldn't pick up their heads. If you think about that they shipped on Friday, and they got there on Monday, that's four days. Plus whatever time it took to load this boat - you're putting these horses under these conditions for at least four full days, so I think it's pretty inhumane." 6. SOUNDBITE (English) Jose Robles, Commander of Canovanas State Police: "Ideally, these people could be put behind bars and these animals would receive better treatment in the future. But then again, this is ideal, and quite honestly that is not the way I believe this case is going to end." 16. Wide of horse race STORYLINE The US Department of Agriculture has opened a federal animal abuse investigation into the case of 19 race horses packed inside a cramped trailer during a four-day sea voyage from the Florida to Puerto Rico. Many of the thoroughbred horses were bruised or bloodied as a result of injuries sustained along the journey from Jacksonville, Florida. Four were in such a state of panic, that veterinarians said they were forced to sedate them to get them out of the metal trailer. The shipment, which is now under investigation by the US Agriculture Department, involved a trailer designed for animals with shorter necks such as cattle. The horses, once cramped inside were forced to crouch down for the entire length of the four day trip. Amateur video footage obtained by AP Television showed the horses being taken out of the trailer upon their arrival in Puerto Rico on May 12. The footage also showed the conditions inside the containers used to transport them. Animal rights advocates have sought to ban the trailers for the transport of horses. The staff documented the horses' injuries with photographs and a video camera. Owners of the horses could not be reached for comment. PSA 2017: Horse Slaughter

02:40
This PSA is originally made out for "equine enthusiasts" but it is insightful for anyone who wants to know the dark truths of horse slaughter. The music in the beginning is used to set a sad and shocking tone and it prepares my audience for the heartbreaking facts they will soon learn. The switch of music from a slowed down version of "news" to "playful" changes the tone to a hopeful one that will introduce the audience to the new hope embedded in this video. The music is one thing that strongly appealed to pathos. Logos shined strongly throughout the entire video as it moved in a logical and "domino effect" kind of way. The sources at the end of this video and the website link for help both appealed to ethos because they established credibility and reputability.

Colt starting: Amber and Flicka

00:46
I bought Flicka when she was 4 years old, head-shy and afraid of people. She ran over her handler, spooked at every noise or sudden movement and was also really afraid of water. In the spring, when she began shedding I noticed her head and neck were covered with scars. I later found out that she used to be a Premarin mare, these horses are cruelly exploited to produce a symptom-relief menopausal drug for women. When I started training her, I began with her head-shyness. I keep all my horses in the pasture without a halter, but obviously that wasn’t possible for Flicka. I turned her out with a halter on and just let her be a horse for a while. After a few weeks spending time with my herd in the field she began to calm down and even moved a bit in my direction when I came to take out other horses for training. Another week later she accepted me touching her and stroking her. I decided to take it to the next level and practised haltering her every day. Since she already had a halter on, I used a second halter to get her out of the pasture. After hours of practising I was finally able to get the halter on without any difficulties and she could finally get turned out without one. Amber helped me with gentling and eventually riding her, since I'm way too tall for her. This was one of the first times they went riding together in the pasture.

September 13, 2015 Middletown, California Had to stop and get some photos of these lucky horses that survived the flames. As I got closer, they approached me and started asking for help. Switched camera to video mode and caught this moment. This is when things shifted for us. We would still document this disaster, but focus most of our efforts on helping animals left behind. REAL HORSE RESCUES | EQUINE ADVOCATES 2 | ABC-WTEN

28:33
S1 | Ep. 4: Real Horse Rescues continues with Equine Advocates' Susan Wagner. In this second installment, Susan Wagner focuses on the often untold stories of mustangs and burros, PMU mares, and mules. These equines, less visible to the public than thoroughbreds or show-horses, are a special passion for Equine Advocates. AT 3:45 Meet Hayden and Nelson, two Wild American Mustangs, rescued from Montana and Nevada, respectively. "What’s happening to wild horses and burros in this country is a tragedy. They get rounded up and separated from their families and that’s quite traumatic for wild horses. They are run down with helicopters. This is all at the [US] taxpayers' expense," Wagner explains. Considered a pest animal, the government's policy is to chase horses off the land and auction them to the highest bidder--most often those who are in the business of transport to slaughter, where they can sell the mustangs for meat and make a profit. AT 7:20 Wagner introduces viewers to Hank The Tank, who she describes as "one of the most wonderful animals I have ever been around." Rescued by Equine Advocates, along with seven other mules standing at a notorious slaughter auction in New Holland, PA, Hank has lived happily in Chatham for over a decade. "Rescuing mules is very important to us. I heard somebody call them ‘The Forgotten Equine’… A lot of the people that use these animals for work don’t want to pay for a veterinarian or lay them up, so they would rather take them and trade them in for another one; kind of like a used car. When Hank was rescued, he was somewhere between only 8 and 10 years old." Raised on a farm and traded in for slaughter before he had even reached half of his lifespan, Hank was a little traumatized at first. Wagner shares that with mules, "once they understand that they are safe and loved and in a great home, they are the best. You know, I would recommend people adopt a mule, or rescue a mule… They do live quite a long time. They live as long as horses, and maybe a little bit longer. This guy is in his mid- to late-20s, we have a mule here who is 34." AT 21:25 Meet Annie, a young, former PMU mare. For those who aren't familiar with the term, PMU stands for "Pregnant Mare's Urine", and much like pregnant cows tied in to mechanical stalls to pump them for dairy, PMU mares are locked by the thousands into industrial barns to collect their urine. Unbelievable? It's true. Susan Wagner walks us through the history of PMU, used pharmaceutically as a hormone therapy for menopause. Despite numerous studies proving the significant human health risks caused by the use of PMU, drugs continue to be produced domestically and globally, putting women at risk of many damaging side effects and torturing countless mares, hidden from view. Draft horses being turned out to their grazing pasture

00:28
Our Draft herd enjoys regular turnout time in a very large pasture...do you think they like it?? The last horse to run by is Calypso - she was nearly a quarter mile behind the gang when they started out the gate. The large brown one that started the herd off is Buster. Not only does the turn-out give them exercise, they are also stimulated by the change of location and different horses near the turnout area. This keeps them healthy and interested in life. Because of their large size -- and appetites -- draft horses are often hard to find homes for when the "job" they were bred for, ceases to exist. In Buster's case, he was a carriage horse who was not very successful at his job. The other drafts in our herd were either mares used for producing Premarin ( a hormone replacement drug) or foals born to the impregnated mares. All of the horses in Redwings' herd were destined to slaughter had it not been for the generosity of donors whose support helped us rescue these gentle giants. Dyspareunia Part 1: Treatment of Vaginal Menopause Symptoms

02:32
The Hormone Pharmacist here, talking about Dyspareunia - Treatment of Vaginal Menopause Symptoms and Intimacy Issues http://hormonepharmacist.com I’m Steve Goldring, The Hormone Pharmacist, and I’m here to talk with you about a subject that’s a little delicate. Some women in menopause experience something called vaginal atrophy. This can lead to intimacy issues that might have a negative impact on your relationship. Of course, the first thing you need is understanding and patience from your partner with the changes in your body during menopause, but there ARE treatments that can reduce vaginal symptoms. Over the next few videos, I’ll explain some of these treatments The decreases in estrogen and testosterone that your body experiences at menopause cause the layers that make up the vaginal wall to change dramatically. In a recent survey of 3000 post-menopausal women (1.) • 55% said they had vaginal dryness • 44% reported dyspareunia - painful intimacy • 37% complained of vaginal irritation • 60% said these symptoms affected their enjoyment of sex The survey showed these women were hesitant to talk with their doctors about these issues. There ARE effective treatments for vaginal dryness and painful intimacy. You don’t have to just “Get used to it.” Over the counter lubricants may help with mild vaginal dryness, although about 40% of the women surveyed said that these had not worked for them. Hormone replacement products can reverse menopausal vaginal atrophy. Estrace® vaginal cream Estring® vaginal ring Vagifem® vaginal tablet These contain estradiol, exactly the same as an estrogen your body used to make. Estradiol’s very effective at restoring vaginal health and reducing vaginal menopause symptoms. (2.) Cash prices range from $175 to $375. (3.) They should be covered by insurance. Avoid Premarin® vaginal cream because it has 10 or more horse estrogens you don’t need. You may have seen ads for Osphena® featuring “Patti,” a woman in her 50s who is embarrassed but talks about painful sex after menopause. Osphena® is an estrogen blocker that also helps reduce vaginal dryness. A downside of Osphena® is that it can CAUSE HOT FLASHES. The cash price of Osphena® is around $180 for 30 oral tablets. Two more options for vaginal symptoms are only available in the U.S. from a compounding pharmacy. I’ll tell you about those in my next video. If you subscribe to my YouTube channel, you’ll be the first to know when I upload new videos. Join me for hormone updates at hormonepharmacist.com, where I have lots more useful, practical information about the best treatments for all your menopause symptoms. Thanks for watching and I’ll talk with you again soon. References: 1. Wysocki S, Kingsberg S, Krychman M. Management of Vaginal Atrophy: Implications from the REVIVE Survey. Bio-Identical Hormones

03:42
Visit us at http://www.sarasota-anti-aging-rejuvenation.com/ We frequently hear the term Bio Identical Hormone. Here is what that means. We have known for decades that replacing hormones was extremely beneficial for health. And for decades we have been able to make exact replicas of the hormones we make ourselves [ Bio Identical]. Unfortunately the Pharmaceutical companies weren't able to patent and profit from the exact replica of what God created. So they used synthetics and compounds that are very close to the identical structure. In fact they are so close they actually do a lot of what the natural hormones accomplish. BUT IT WASN'T CLOSE ENOUGH AND MANY DID CAUSE TROUBLING SIDE EFFECTS!!! Premarin is a great example of that! Its made from the urine of pregnant Mares. Its probably great for horses...but not meant for humans. By using natures exact duplicates, we can get all the wonderful benefits of medically managed hormone replacement and minimize any potential "bad" side effects.

Life of a NYC Carriage Horse, Finbar, now retired for more than 10 years.

04:18
Finbar, the carriage horse, was the first horse I ever bought and trained. He was such a fantastic horse I had to build him a suitable carriage!! He gave me 11 years of flawless service at Central Park .He is now retired. He has lived on Finbars Farm for the last 9 years. Except for the occasional trail ride, his time is his own. As for how much I love and care for my horse Finbar, let me put it this way If it was his life or yours.... you would be well advised to make peace with whatever God you have! FACT The PETArds will never know of such a relationship; the love , the bond, the knowing of each other, the unspoken communication, being as one with a working horse. Very few get to experience this. I am indeed a lucky man. Animal Rights is a lie and a con. Peta uses mindless pawns to repeat their crap. They have hijacked sentiment and empathy by manipulation of image and language. For more info go to www.consumerfreedom.com or www.peta-sucks.com Thank You.

Rowell Ranch Rodeo Cruelty: Bucking Horse tries to Escape Chute

00:45
Filmed May 19th 2012 at Rowell Ranch in Castro Valley California at around 1:00 to 3:00pm. United for Animals attended Rowell Ranch Rodeo to film and document the severe abuse of the animals. Video: Bucking horse tries to escape chute and gets their front leg stuck on gate. There is certainly a reason this horse is frantically trying to escape this confinement. These animals should not be used for "entertainment".

Stop Horse Slaughter

10:38
i added more to this video and fixed the parts i messed up on i think this one turned out good so please whatch here is a website for you to read http://rtfitch.wordpress.com/2010/04/05/horse-slaughter-is-cruel-and-bute-in-... If you can't persuade them for the right reasons, then scare them with the facts. A new paper in the journal Food & Chemical Toxicology shows how dangerous American horse meat is for human consumption. Americans should stop selling horses for slaughter abroad because we love our horses and do not treat them as livestock. That's the right reason to stop this incredibly cruel practice. Still, millions of greedy horse owners and breeders send horses off to slaughter because it's more remunerative than not breeding at all or even having them euthanized. But according to this new paper, humans who consume horse meat (most often overseas and especially in France, Italy, Japan and Belgium) are at risk for being poisoned by Phenylbutazone or "bute." It's a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug originally developed for treating severe cases of arthritis, but it was later found to... "cause serious and lethal idiosyncratic adverse effects in humans. Sixty-seven million pounds of horsemeat derived from American horses were sent abroad for human consumption last year. Horses are not raised as food animals in the United States and, mechanisms to ensure the removal of horses treated with banned substances from the food chain are inadequate at best." Bute is still routinely used not just at the thoroughbred racetrack, which is what the authors of this paper studied, but also by horse owners nationwide to mitigate pain for all sorts of horse injuries. Horses do not have the same lethal reaction to bute that humans can display, although long-term use of bute for horses can create ulcers and other organ damage. The paper's authors call it a "significant health hazard" for people to consume horse meat. I hope this information is highly promulgated throughout horse-consuming societies in Europe and Asia.

Brand new videos 7 days a week! More from Today I Found Out: The Tallest Man Ever... and 9 other Amazing Records http://bit.ly/1VroT4s The Rockstar with a PhD... and 8 other Facinating Facts http://bit.ly/1gN5yKW Find more interesting quick facts here: http://www.todayifoundout.com/index.php/category/quick-facts/ In this video: 1) The fear of dinner party conversations or dinner parties in general is known as Deipnophobia. 2) “School” comes from the Ancient Greek “skhole”, which meant “leisure or spare time”. 3) Vodka comes from the Russian word for “water,” which is “Voda.” Like most distilled liquors, in the beginning Vodka was mainly used as a medicine. Vodka was also used as an ingredient in early European formulas for gunpowder. 4) A “tittle” is nothing dirty, it’s simply the name for the dot over the letter “i” 5) Air Force One is only called that when the U.S. President is aboard. It is not a specific plane and the U.S. maintains a presidential air fleet at Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland, with each plane meeting the requirements for transporting the President. 6) The “USA Patriot” in USA PATRIOT Act actually stands for something: Uniting & Strengthening America by Providing Appropriate Tools Required to Intercept & Obstruct Terrorism 7) The term “Speak of the Devil” is the shortened version of “Speak of the Devil and he doth appear. ” It was first printed in Giovanni Torriano’s ‘Piazza Universale’in 1666, where he wrote, “The English say, Talk of the Devil, and he’s presently at your elbow”. In 1672, it again appeared in a poem which stated “Talk of the Devil, and see his horns.” However, during the 19th century the term started losing its sinister meaning and was used as a warning of an eavesdropper to a conversation rather than the literal Devil. In the 20th century, it simply started being a reference to someone who appeared unexpectedly while being talked about. 8) Glass tubes created by lightning strikes in sand are called “fulgurites”. 9) The drug Premarin (made of conjugated estrogens) originally came from the urine of pregnant horses, hence: PREgnatn MARe urine 10) The only word in the English language to end with “mt” is “dreamt”, unless of course you consider “undreamt” to be a separate word. 11) “Desperation” is an anagram for “A Rope Ends It”. 12) The Ewoks in Star Wars were named after the Native American tribe Miwok. The Miwok’s lived in the Redwood forest that is the setting for the Endor scenes on Return of the Jedi. It has also been suggested that Princess Leia’s bun hair style was also of Native American origin, based on the Hopi Indian “Squash Blossom” hair style that very strongly resembles Leia’s bun hair style. George Lucas denies this, stating the strong similarity is coincidental. Of course, he also now claims Han shot second, so… 13) The word “Velcro” is derived from the French “velour” (velvet) and “crochet” (hooks). So essentially, Velcro just means “hooked velvet”.
