How to Get the Most out of Vitamin Supplements- Thomas DeLauer

How to Get the Most out of Vitamin Supplements- Thomas DeLauer: When should you take your vitamins? To learn more about how I can help you, head to http://www.ThomasDeLauer.com Many factors play a role on how available vitamins and supplements are when you take them. Fat-Soluble Vitamins: Vitamins A, D, E and K- These are stored in the liver and fat stores in your body, so you do not need to consume these every day. They are easy to get from food as they are not easily broken down by heat when cooking. These are the most important vitamins to eat with food, as the name implies, they are only absorbed and used by the body in the presence of fat. These vitamins dissolve in fat and are then delivered to the bloodstream for use in the body. Not much fat is needed, but if taking a supplement, or even eating fruits and veggies, but sure to have some fat added. If you make a healthy smoothie, add some almond butter or you favorite oil, such as macadamia nut oil. When eating salads, do not use fat-free salad dressings! Olive oil and lemon juice are great options. Be careful if you supplement these vitamins and be sure to check with your doctor if you feel you may need to do so. These vitamins are only needed in small quantities and can build up to a dangerous level if too many are taken. Vitamin D is the main fat-soluble vitamin in the US where deficiencies are common. This is due to inadequate exposure to sunlight. Fortified foods and supplements can help. Try to obtain 5-15 minutes of direct sunlight twice per week to avoid a deficiency, and if this is not possible then talk to your doctor about supplementation. Water-Soluble Vitamins: Vitamin C and B-complex vitamins are water soluble vitamins that you need to be sure to include in your diet daily. Unlike fat-soluble vitamins, these vitamins are not stored in your adipose tissue or liver and are in essence washed from your body daily. Food storage and preparation are important when making sure to get sufficient quantities of these vitamins. Deficiencies are uncommon, however vegans do not have a natural source of vitamin B12 and usually need to supplement. While deficiencies are not common, it is still important to consume daily for bodily functioning. As these vitamins dissolve in water, you do not need to take these with foods, although you can if you want to. Minerals: Calcium and Magnesium (2,4) - These are best taken with food and good to take at night. Calcium is linked to improved sleep due to its muscle relaxing abilities and magnesium has calming effects on the nervous and musculoskeletal systems. Zinc (2,4) - Take with or after meals to avoid stomach upset. Do not take with dairy as calcium hampers absorption. Also avoid taking with iron as large quantities of iron can also hurt your body’s ability to absorb zinc. Avoid taking excess zinc, which can lead to anemia through suppression of copper absorption. Iron (4) - Best to take on an empty stomach. Avoid taking with zinc, calcium and vitamin E as these can decrease absorption. If you have a sensitive stomach you may not do well when taking iron on an empty stomach. If so, take with a light meal. Probiotics (4) - Best to take 30 minutes before a meal as this is when digestive enzymes, bile salts and stomach acid are at low levels. These levels peak after a meal, so this is the worst time to take a probiotic. Fiber (2) - Be sure to separate taking fiber from other nutritional supplements as fiber can hamper mineral absorption. Fish Oil (4) – Fish Oil is best to take with food and with your multivitamin, or other fat-soluble vitamins, if you take them. The fat in the food that you eat can help to aid in digestion and absorption. As fats take a long time for your body to digest, it is best not to take fish oil pills or eat a fatty meal pre-workout. This can cause digestive upset. Multivitamins: As these contain both water- and fat-soluble vitamins, take with plenty of water and some food with fat in it, but try not to take with dairy as this can reduce your absorption of zinc. What Will Happen If You Start Eating Oats Every Day

10:07
Doctors and nutritionists highly recommend making oatmeal a part of your diet and having it as your healthy morning meal. The secret is simple: good-quality environmentally-friendly oats help you feel and look better on the inside and out. Oats have some unique properties thanks to the wide variety of vitamins and minerals they contain. Zinc helps cleanse the skin and remove toxins and other harmful compounds. Iron is one of the most important elements for the nutrition and saturation of moisture in skin cells. Magnesium promotes blood circulation and noticeable skin cell renewal. While protein is extremely important, your body also demands carbohydrates and fats, both of which you can find in oatmeal. Oats are also rich in antioxidants that help alleviate itching, inflammation, and high blood pressure. The slow carbohydrates found in oatmeal help curb your appetite and maintain normal blood sugar levels. All those nutrients in oats not only boost your metabolism but also prevent the accumulation of fat and toxins in the body. Thanks to the antioxidants present in oatmeal, the probability of damage to the walls of blood vessels by free radicals is reduced significantly. If you find it boring to just have oatmeal for breakfast every day, you’ll love the recipes we have put together to help you turn a boring oatmeal breakfast into something way more flavorful. Warning Signs That You're Zinc Deficient

05:53
For more info: https://draxe.com/zinc-deficiency/?utm_campaign=Youtube-Feb-2015&utm_medium=social&utm_source=youtube&utm_term=zincdeficient Today I’m going to share with you the five warning signs that you’re zinc deficient. About 75% of people in the world are deficient, so being deficient in zinc is very common. The 5 warning signs you’re zinc deficient: 1.) If you get sick a lot or have immune system issues 2.) Have leaky gut (http://draxe.com/7-signs-symptoms-you-have-leaky-gut/) 3.) If you struggle with diarrhea or IBS 4.) Thinning hair 5.) Inflammatory skin issues like acne, eczema, dermatitis, psoriasis One of the biggest factors in causing zinc deficiency is high levels of emotional stress. The second most common cause of zinc deficiency is over-exercise. The third most common reason your zinc deficient is if you’re pregnant or breast feeding. Lastly, if you’re older, you may tend to have malabsorption, which causes a zinc deficiency. In order to get more zinc in your diet, you need to consume more zinc-rich foods. The top 5 zinc-rich foods are pumpkin seeds, oysters, grass-fed beef, sprouted nuts and seeds, and peas. Additionally, probiotics are a key supplement to take when zinc deficient because it can help your overall absorption of nutrients. Everyone Is Putting Butter In Their Coffee, Watch Why! Natural Remedies

03:59
Everyone Is Putting Butter In Their Coffee, Watch Why! Natural Remedies Butter coffee is something that is very trendy. People add butter in their coffee because it has strong, abundant taste and is very helpful when it comes to weight lose. This claiming come from people that have tried it.After trying they never go back to the old, black coffee. Tablespoon of butter and coconut oil is not something that we add to a coffee, but you must know that it is perfect combination. Use a blender to prepare this coffee and to unify the coffee with the liquid fat. As a bonus you will get a great foam on the top . If you are in a hurry you can simply add some butter to your hot coffee and let it melt. The best time to consume it is early in the morning . It will : 1. It’s A Better Alternative to Sugar and Whipped Cream Using butter in your coffee gives an almost creamy, latte-like texture, meaning you can skip the whipped cream and two spoons of sugar you normally use to get the same effect. And if you’re making these creamy concoctions at home instead of grabbing a Starbucks’ Grande Caffe Latte, you’ll be saving yourself over 17 grams of sugar. Too much sugar can lead to some serious health problems – like obesity, tooth decay, fatty liver disease, diabetes and more. 2. Omega 3 Fats Omega 3 fatty acids are essential for normal growth and play an important role in the prevention and treatment of coronary artery disease, arthritis, inflammation, cancer and high blood pressure. These fats are vital for our health, yet our bodies cannot produce them – meaning we must obtain them from our diet. Eating grass-fed butter (as opposed to grain-fed) can provide your body with a much needed boost of omega 3s and work towards regaining that healthy balance. 3. Vitamin K Known as ‘the forgotten vitamin’ as it is so often overlooked, Vitamin K helps in blood clotting and keeping the bones strong into old age. Vitamin K is found in leafy green vegetables, natto – a type of fermented soy bean, blueberries and grass-fed animal products, such as butter. 4. Contains CLA for Weight Loss Conjugated linoleic acid (C L A) has long been touted as a ‘miracle’ weight loss aid. In a 2004 study, a group of overweight women lost 9% body fat in just one year thanks to C L A supplementation – without making any changes to their dietary or lifestyle habits. Not only does C L A burn belly fat, but it protects against cancer and encourages muscle growth. 5. Keeps You Full for Longer Naturally, drinking black coffee alone won’t keep you full. However, when you add butter to your coffee, you’ll be increasing its caloric and fat value – stopping hunger pangs kicking in. In fact, fats are an important component of a healthy breakfast as they provide the most concentrated source of energy and prolong emptying of the stomach after eating. Many fans of bulletproof coffee swear it gets them through to lunch without any re-fueling (although many others say this is not the case and a mid-morning snack is required). 6. Can Reduce Caffeine Sensitivity and the Acidic Effects of Coffee Many people suffer the jitters after a cup of coffee – particularly that first cup on an empty stomach. Others can feel queasy and unsettled as the coffee is simply too acidic for them to handle first thing in the morning. Adding butter to your brew can reduce these effects as the fat content lines the stomach, protecting you from shakes and nausea. 7. Increase Energy Levels While we all know that coffee alone provides a quick energy boost, this can often be short-lived. But adding butter to your drink can provide more sustained energy as fat is the most energy dense macro nutrient.

Which Foods Can Increase Your Blood Flow & Circulation?

06:59
Do you know which foods, vitamins, minerals, and herbs can help you to increase your blood flow and circulation? Discover why Dr. Sam Robbins, natural health expert, recommends Blood Flow Optimizer™ like one of the solutions: ► http://drsam.co/yt/WhichFoods-BFO *********** Which Foods Can Increase Your Blood Flow & Circulation? ******************** In this video, we will discuss about foods that naturally increase blood flow, thin the blood and improve circulation. Poor circulation, due to fatty plaques and blood clots can slow healing and raise your risk of heart disease, heart attack or stroke. As the saying goes, “you are what you eat”. First thing that you need to do is to reduce or eliminate animal protein and fat, sugar intake and to eliminate all caffeine beverages because caffeine constricts your blood vessels and increases the stress hormone, cortisol. Then, you should focus on eating more natural whole grains, sweet potatoes, fruits, vegetables, legumes, fish and nuts. Also, you need to drink lots of purified water to increase your blood flow and volume. There are lots of foods that can slightly help increase blood flow, but the following 3 are by far the best and most effective. 1. Garlic 2. Fish 3. Cayenne Pepper If you want faster results, there are natural supplements and herbs that are super powerful and far more effective than foods in improving your blood flow. Certain vitamins and minerals are also very important. Blood Flow Optimizer™ is utilized by anyone who wants to improve their blood flow and circulation because you want a healthier heart and vascular system, in order to help avoid a heart attack or stroke. The reason for Blood Flow Optimizer™ success is because it’s a complete “All-In-One” proven solution that delivers results QUICKLY. Blood Flow Optimizer™ is the most comprehensive solution because it helps: - Decrease the plaque buildup and increase the openings in the vascular system – so you have better blood flow and circulation. - Strengthen the walls of the arteries and blood vessels, reducing the chance of a rupture or tear. - Inhibit future buildup of plaque and calcium, which can help prevent a heart attack or stroke. Blood Flow Optimizer™ is a complete, "all-in-one" formula without the negative side-effects of drugs, or the need for multiple supplements in order to achieve the same goal — a healthier heart and stronger vascular system. Is coffee bad for you ? Shocking Side Effect of Coffee | Caffeine | Bad Effect of Coffee

03:51
Is coffee bad for you ? Shocking Side Effect of Coffee | Caffeine | bad Effect of Coffee.. Coffee is safe for most adults. Drinking more than 6 cups/day might cause “caffeinism” with symptoms such as anxiety or agitation. People who drink a lot of coffee every day may need to drink more coffee to get the same effects. They may also become “dependent” on coffee to the point that they develop withdrawal symptoms if they suddenly stop drinking it. Here are 10 side effects of coffee. 1.Pregnancy Caffeinated coffee is probably safe for pregnant women in amounts of 2 cups per day or less. This amount of coffee provides about 200 mg of caffeine. However, drinking more than this amount has been linked to an increased risk of miscarriage, premature birth, and low birth weight. These risks increase as the amount of coffee the mother drinks during pregnancy increases. 2.b*ea*t-feeding. Drinking 1 or 2 of cups of coffee per day seems to be safe for breast-feeding mothers and their infants. But the caffeine in larger amounts can irritate a nursing infant’s digestive tract and also cause sleep problems and irritability. 3.Children. It may be unsafe for children to drink caffeinated coffee. The side effects associated with caffeine are usually more severe in children than adults. 4.Bleeding disorders. There is some concern that coffee might make bleeding disorders worse. 5.Heart disease. Drinking unfiltered (boiled) coffee increases the amount of cholesterol and other fats in the blood, and also raises the level of homocysteine, all of which are associated with an increased risk of developing heart disease. Some research suggests an association between heart attacks and drinking coffee. 6.Diabetes. Some research suggests that caffeine contained in coffee might change the way people with diabetes process sugar. Caffeine has been reported to cause increases as well as decreases in blood sugar. Use caffeine with caution if you have diabetes and monitor your blood sugar carefully. 7.Diarrhea. Coffee contains caffeine. The caffeine in coffee, especially when taken in large amounts, can worsen diarrhea. 8.Glaucoma . Drinking caffeinated coffee increases pressure inside the eye. The increase starts within 30 minutes and lasts for at least 90 minutes. 9.High blood pressure . Drinking caffeinated coffee might increase blood pressure in people with high blood pressure. However, this effect might be less in people who drink coffee regularly. 10.Thinning bones (osteoporosis) . Drinking caffeinated coffee can increase the amount of calcium that is flushed out in the urine. This might weaken bones. If you have osteoporosis, limit caffeine consumption to less than 300 mg per day (approximately 2-3 cups of coffee). Taking calcium supplements may help to make up for calcium that is lost. Postmenopausal women who have an inherited condition that keeps them from processing vitamin D normally, should be especially cautious when using caffeine. Coffee might be unsafe when given rectally as an enema. Coffee enemas have been linked to cases of severe side effects including death. -------------------------------------------- Images are licensed under CC, ------------------------------------------- Blog : https://webhealthremedy.blogspot.com/ Facebook : https://www.facebook.com/Health-Remed... Health Benefits of Ginger - What is ginger good for?

04:36
You may know that ginger is a common ingredient in Asian and Indian cuisine, but did you know that it’s been used for centuries for its healing properties? Ginger has a long history of health benefits, including relief from nausea, digestive issues and pain. The most commonly used part of the plant for medicinal purposes is the root or underground stem, known as the rhizome. It can be consumed fresh, powdered, dried as a spice, or used in the form of an oil or as juice. If you don’t use ginger in your kitchen, here are 8 reasons why you might want to start! 1. Ginger Relieves Digestive Issues The phenolic compounds in ginger have been shown to help relieve irritation in the gastrointestinal tract. They help to stimulate saliva and bile production while allowing food and fluids to move through the GI tract more smoothly. In a study of 24 healthy individuals, taking 1.2 grams of ginger powder before a meal accelerated emptying of the stomach, reducing indigestion by 50%. 2. Ginger Relieves Nausea Drinking ginger tea or even consuming raw ginger is a common and safe home remedy for nausea, especially during cancer treatment or pregnancy and morning sickness. A review of 12 studies that included a total of 1,278 pregnant women found that 1.1-1.5 grams of ginger significantly reduced nausea. 3. Ginger Can Relieve Pain A study conducted at the University of Georgia found that daily ginger supplementation reduced muscle pain by 25%. Ginger has also been found to reduce pain during menstrual cycles. Researchers also believe that ginger is effective at reducing the day-to-day progression of muscle pain. 4. Ginger Reduces Inflammation Osteoarthritis is a common health problem that involves the degeneration of the joints in the body, causing joint pain and stiffness. In a trial of 247 people with osteoarthritis of the knee, those who took ginger extract had less pain and required less pain medication. 5. Ginger May Reduce Risk of Heart Disease In a recent study involving participants with type 2 diabetes, researchers found that 2 grams of ginger powder each day lowered blood sugar and led to a 10% overall reduction over a period of 12 weeks. High blood sugar is a major risk factor for heart disease. With the effects of ginger on blood sugar, your risk of heart disease may be lowered by at leas 10%. 6. Ginger May Lower Cholesterol Levels A 45-day study involving 85 people with high cholesterol concluded that 3 grams of ginger powder each day caused significant reductions in cholesterol levels. Researchers believe that ginger can aid in lowering cholesterol levels and reducing the risk of heart disease. 7. Ginger May Have Anti-Cancer Properties A substance in ginger known as 6-gingerol has been studied as an alternative treatment for several types of cancer. Research on this theory is still being conducted, but one study found that 2 grams of ginger extract each day significantly reduced pro-inflammatory signaling molecules in the colon. 8. Ginger May Improve Brain Function Oxadative stress and chronic inflammation are two factors that can accelerate the aging process, and become a key driver of Alzheimer’s disease and other age-related cognitive impairments. Some studies suggest that the antioxidants and bioactive compounds in ginger can inhibit inflammatory responses that occur in the brain. In a study of 60 middle-aged women, ginger extract was shown to improve reaction time and working memory, suggesting that ginger supports brain health in multiple ways. If you drink turmeric water everyday then this will happen to your body - turmeric health benefits Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SUxKlAVpt5s Please subscribe our channel: https://www.youtube.com/c/livehealthylifeofficial Like us on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/Live-Healthy-Life-1645151002425115 Follow us on Twitter : https://twitter.com/livehealthylif1 Follow us on Google+ : https://plus.google.com/+LiveHealthyLifeofficial 10 Reasons Everyone Should Drink Warm Turmeric Water Every Morning Turmeric, also known as Curcuma longa, is a very common herb. Often known as the "Queen of Spices", its main characteristics are a peppery aroma, strong flavor, and golden color. People from all over the world use this herb in their kitchen. It is also loaded with many healthy nutrients such as protein, dietary fiber, vitamin C, vitamin E, vitamin K, potassium, calcium, copper, iron, magnesium, and zinc. Because of all these factors, turmeric is often used to treat a wide variety of health problems. 1. Prevents Cancer Turmeric can help prevent prostate cancer, stop the growth of existing prostate cancer and even destroy cancer cells. Several researchers have found that the active components in turmeric make it one of the best protectors against radiation-induced tumors. 2.Relieves arthritis The anti-inflammatory properties of turmeric are great for the treatment of osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. In addition, the antioxidant property of turmeric destroys free radicals in the body that damage the body's cells. It has been found that those suffering from rheumatoid arthritis who consume turmeric on a regular basis experience much relief from mild to moderate joint pain as well as inflammation of the joints. 3. Immunity Booster Turmeric contains a substance known as lipopolysaccharide, which helps stimulate the body's immune system. Its antibacterial, antiviral and antifungal agents also help strengthen the immune system. A strong immune system decreases the chances of colds, flu, and cough. 4. Control Diabetes Turmeric can be used in the treatment of diabetes by helping to moderate insulin levels. It also improves glucose control and increases the effect of medications used to treat diabetes. Another significant benefit is the effectiveness of turmeric in helping to reduce insulin resistance, which can prevent the onset of type 2 diabetes. 5. Heals the wound Turmeric is a natural antiseptic and antibacterial agent and can be used as an effective disinfectant. If you have a cut or burn, you can spray turmeric powder into the affected area to speed up the healing process. 6. Reduce cholesterol level Research has shown that simply using turmeric as a food condiment can lower serum cholesterol levels. It is a known fact that high cholesterol can lead to other serious health problems. Maintaining an adequate level of cholesterol can prevent many cardiovascular diseases. 7. Weight control Turmeric powder can be very useful in maintaining an ideal weight. A component present in turmeric helps to increase the flow of bile, an important component in the breakdown of fat in the diet. Those who wish to lose weight or treat obesity and other associated diseases can benefit from having a teaspoon of turmeric powder with each meal. 8. Prevent Alzheimer's Disease It is suspected that inflammation of the brain is a major cause of cognitive disorders such as Alzheimer's disease. Turmeric supports the general health of the brain helping in eliminating plaque buildup in the brain and improving oxygen flow. This can also prevent or slow the progression of Alzheimer's disease. 9. Prevents Liver Disease Turmeric is a kind of natural liver detoxifier. The liver detoxifies the blood through the production of enzymes and turmeric increases the production of these vital enzymes. These vital enzymes break down and reduce toxins in the body. Turmeric is also believed to invigorate and improve blood circulation. All of these factors support good liver health. 10. 9. Improves digestion Many key components in turmeric stimulate the gallbladder to produce bile, which then improves digestion and reduces the symptoms of swelling and gas. In addition, turmeric is useful in the treatment of most forms of inflammatory bowel disease, including ulcerative colitis. To get the optimum benefits of turmeric water, try this recipe: Ingredients: 8 ounces of filtered water Half teaspoon turmeric 1 teaspoon honey (optional) Preparation: Heat the water just below the boiling point. Put turmeric in a cup. Slowly stir warm water until thoroughly mixed.

Chocolate: Benefits vs. Dangers | Is Theobromine Safe? - Thomas DeLauer

Chocolate: Benefits vs. Dangers | Is Theobromine Safe? - Thomas DeLauer: Learn the OTHER benefit of Chocolate! I'll teach you more about the foods that work for you at http://www.ThomasDeLauer.com Click to learn more. Theobromine and Fat Loss: Theobromine is the major alkaloid in cocoa, giving cocoa its bitter taste. Theobromine is the substance responsible for chocolate being toxic to dogs and some other mammals. Humans process theobromine differently, leading the many health benefits rather than toxicity. Cocoa consumption began in the Americas and spread to Europe in the 16th century. It was traditionally used both as food and medicine. Theobromine concentrations are higher in dark chocolate than milk chocolate or white chocolate. Cocoa nibs and cocoa powder have the highest concentrations. It is a substance known as a methylxanthine derivative. Caffeine is also a methylxanthine → caffeine and theobromine are similar in molecular structure. Our affinity for chocolate has to do with the combination of caffeine and theobromine. -A study had participants consume a drink with a capsule of either placebo or a caffeine/theobromine combination similar to that of chocolate. Those that consumed the drink with the caffeine and theobromine reported liking the beverage more. Just like caffeine, theobromine is a stimulant. This is due to their effect on adenosine receptors. These compounds act as adenosine antagonists, taking the place of adenosine on receptors in the brain. Theobromine is about 1/10th as effective as caffeine in the body, so it takes much more theobromine to feel its effects than caffeine. The half-life, the amount of time that it takes for your body to process ½ of a substance, of theobromine is about 6 to 10 hours, longer than that of caffeine. This means that theobromine stays around in the body for a long period of time after consumption. Theobromine is an anti-inflammatory and reduces oxidative stress in the body. It has been found to help with asthma symptoms. Theobromine has been found to increase HDL cholesterol and decrease LDL cholesterol. Theobromine has been found to affect DNA and RNA structure. The full impacts of this are not yet known, but it is hypothesized that this can inhibit or induce gene expression. -Caffeine has been found to reduce the risk of Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease. -Thus theobromine may be effective to treat some diseases and could be used in future drugs Theobromine and Weight Loss: Theobromine may help to speed up weight loss, but not as noticeably as caffeine. As a mild stimulant this can give you the energy to go for a run or hit the gym. As a diuretic, this can help you to empty the contents of your stomach. Also may act to suppress appetite, reducing our likelihood to consume unhealthy foods at moments of temptation. The quantity of theobromine found in chocolate and other foods, such as coffee, are unlikely to be high enough for you to notice any weight loss impact through the above means, especially when compared to caffeine in coffee. However, there are so many other health benefits, and the more all-around healthy you are the more able you are to live an active lifestyle. One of these has to do with insulin resistance. Insulin resistance is the most likely way that theobromine may aid in weight loss. A 2005 study had volunteers consume dark chocolate for 15 days, and then white chocolate. Insulin sensitivity was increased during the dark chocolate period. Improved insulin sensitivity is crucial in weight loss. Can You Have too Much? Studies have found that the positive mood effects of theobromine turn negative when too much is consumed. Dark chocolate has roughly 200 to 300 mg of theobromine per 40 grams, so a typical 50 gram dark chocolate bar can be assumed to be at about 250 to 375 mg of theobromine. One study found 700 mg of theobromine lowered blood pressure, increased how interesting a task seemed and decreased calmness. Another study found that higher levels of theobromine, from 500 mg to 1000 mg, experienced more “dislike” feelings. So, eating one dark chocolate bar will likely lead to positive mood effects, but eating two or more could lead to negative effects. References: 1. 7 Recommended Supplements on a Keto and Intermittent Fasting Plan

Take Dr. Berg's Free Keto Mini-Course: http://pxlme.me/-i717vtY or go here: https://www.drberg.com/how-to-do-ketosis Electrolyte Powder: https://shop.drberg.com/electrolyte-powder-regular Nutritional Yeast (Supports B-Vitamins): https://shop.drberg.com/nutritional-yeast-regular Download Keto Essentials https://m.me/drericberg?ref=w2128577 Dr. Berg talks about the best recommended supplements on a keto (ketogenic diet) and intermittent fasting. 1. Minerals 2. B1 (in conversion from sugar to fat burning) 3. B3 (to remove fat and cholesterol from the liver) 4. B5 (in the conversion from sugar to fat burning); helps in the keto adaption and prevent ketogenic fatigue, flu, and rash. 5. Vitamin A (improves insulin resistance) 6. Vitamin D (improves insulin resistance) 7. Choline - to help a fatty liver Virgin Cod Liver oil helps provide vitamin D and A equally. Nutritional Yeast provides B vitamins, Electrolyte Powder helps provide minerals. Hey guys, we are going to talk about the 7 recommended supplements on a Ketogenic diet and intermittent fasting plan. The first one I am going to recommend is minerals. You want to potassium, magnesium, sodium and calcium those were electrolytes, and then trace minerals. Because minerals helps reduce insulin resistance and it puts you into fat burning a lot better. Plus, these minerals are alkaline which offset some of the uric acid buildup that comes from the ketogenic diet to lessen the chance to get a gout or the uric acid kidney stones. Number 2 vitamin B1, this is essential in the adaptation of sugar burning into fat burning, and it is also great to relieve stress. Vitamin B3 is really good for lowering cholesterol that is coming out of the fat cells or liver and it is also good to support the liver in general. Vitamin B5 is another key B vitamin that is essential in the adaptation to fat burning. If you are deficient in B5 and B1, you may notice more fatigue, keto flu and keto rash, any of those symptoms. Number 5, vitamin A which is also essential in dealing with insulin resistance and you would get vitamin A in cod liver oil, grass-fed cheese, grass-fed liver and egg yolks. No. 6 vitamin D and I recommend vitamin D3 version, this is really good for insulin resistance and improving that. It is also in cod liver oil, egg yolk. In fact if you consume cod liver oil, you get a 50/50 split of vitamin A and vitamin D so you could kill 2 birds at 1 stone. No. 7 choline which is essential of getting the fat off the liver. I recommend doing electrolyte powder for the minerals. I recommend nutritional yeast for B1, B3, B5 and it even has choline. I have a version that has non-fortified, it is in a tablet form with added B12. You have electrolyte powder, nutritional yeast, and cod liver oil and if you really have fatty liver you could have choline in addition to the choline that is in nutritional yeast to strip off the fat from the liver. If You Eat 2 Eggs at Breakfast For a Month, This is What Happens to Your Body

03:16
Please Subscribe! ▶ https://goo.gl/ksfh7M Eggs, whether boiled, poached, or scrambled, they are a great way to start your day. These little orbs are a great source of protein and amino-acids. Proteins are the building blocks of life. Every cell in the human-body contains protein. The basic structure of protein is a chain of amino-acids. You need protein in your diet to help your body repair cells and make new ones. Eggs are one of the few foods with complete proteins, that is, they contain proper proportions of all nine essential amino acids required by the body. They are also packed with numerous vitamins and minerals including Vitamin-A, vitamin-B12, Vitamin-D, Vitamin-E, folate, selenium, choline, and others. Eggs are one of the highest protein breakfast options One of the key steps you can take to help manage their appetite throughout the morning is to ensure that their breakfast choice has enough protein. 2-eggs served with 2 slices of wholegrain toast contain at least 20g of protein, much of which is of ‘high biological value’ protein, which means it is easily used in the body. This means that choosing eggs for breakfast will give you at least 25% more protein than other popular breakfast choices. Here are few of the many Amazing Health Benefits your body receives If You Eat 2 Eggs at Breakfast For a Month 1.Eggs Raises the Good Cholesterol Eating eggs leads to elevated levels of HDL (High-density lipoprotein), which is also known as the “good” cholesterol. People who have higher HDL levels have a lower risk of heart disease, stroke and other health issues. According to one study, eating two eggs a day for six weeks increased the good-cholesterol level by 10-percent. 2.Can Help You lose That Extra weight Forget counting calories and cutting out carbs. The key to losing weight could be as simple as having 2-eggs for breakfast. Scientists have shown that those who start their day with poached, boiled or scrambled eggs can lose up to two-thirds more weight than others. The secret of the egg's success lies in its ability to make us feel full for longer than many other foods there-by consuming less calories. 3.Eggs help with brain development and memory. Choline, an essential nutrient found in eggs, stimulates brain development and function. It has also been linked with increasing memory-power and alertness 4.2 Eggs at breakfast can protect your eyesight. Two antioxidants, leutin and zeaxanthin, are present in eggs and have been linked to protecting eyes from damage related to Ultra-Violet exposure. They have also been associated with reducing the likelihood of developing cataracts in your old age 5.Strong Bones Hard-boiled eggs provide Vitamin-D to keep your bones and teeth strong. Vitamin-D promotes the absorption of calcium and regulates calcium levels in your blood. This process ensures that your skeleton gets the calcium it needs for strength and structure. You need 600 international units of Vitamin-D each day, reports the Office of Dietary Supplements. You get about 45 international units of Vitamin-D from one large hard-boiled egg. Your heart, your fluid, your energy, your nutrients in and out of the cell is dependent on the sodium and potassium pump. However, potassium is the most difficult to get from the diet. High levels of cortisol (stress), insulin, sugar, diuretics, excessive salt, surgery, all can deplete potassium. However, you need between 7-10 cups of salad or veggies to get your daily requirement of 4700mg. Hey guys, Dr. Berg here. I want to do a video on the most important electrolyte. Let me explain what an electrolyte is, if you ever take salt and put it in the water and dissolve it, the sodium and chloride disconnect and they become two separate minerals and that fluid is very electrically conductive. Basically electrolytes have to do with minerals that help conduct electricity in the body. They help with a lot of different things. As far as the electrolytes, it will be like potassium, sodium, magnesium, calcium, chlorides, and all those minerals. Potassium out of all the electrolytes is the one that we need in a very large quantities. Why is that? Why do we need potassium in a large amount? I am talking 4,700 mg to 6,000 mg every single day and that is equivalent to 7 to 10+ cups of salad or vegetables every single day. Let’s go dig further into exactly to why we need potassium. There are something in the body called sodium-potassium pump. It is built in a little protein connected to an enzyme, it forms a whole enzyme in the surface of your cells and you will have between 8,000 to 30million of this little tiny pumps and they are little generators that generate electricity to allow things to go through the cell so it take a lot of energy, in fact the energy of 1/3 of your diet goes to running those pumps. You also have another pump in the stomach called the hydrogen potassium ATPas, it is basically another pump that is built with a potassium that allows you to create stomach acid to help you digest. This pumps are also in the muscles, nervous systems and the pumps in the nervous system used about 60% of your body’s chloric intake of energy. In other words, these pumps are really critically important in exchanging nutrition, glucose, amino acids and other minerals to allow them to transport in other cell. Potassium is essential for building the pumps to allow these functions right here, they charge the cell electrically, so your cells have a certain voltage to allow things to work and go in and out of the cell to create different energy. In fact your energy that you have that controls your metabolism is controlled partly by these little pump. So it charges the cell electrically, it gives you energy. It helps the muscle contracts and relax because it allows calcium to go into the cell as well. It controls the transport of calcium. 17:10
So-called "smart drugs" are drugs that can supposedly enhance your cognitive abilities. People all over the world are taking them in universities, offices and the comfort of their own home - to get ahead of the game. One drug, Modafinil - is amongst the most popular. It was labelled in August 2015 as the world’s first “safe” smart drug - off the back of research from Harvard and Oxford University. But is this true? And do “smart drugs" actually work? In this film, our reporter Benjamin Zand tries a drug himself - as he takes a first-hand look inside the world of so-called smart drugs. » Best Diet For Removing Calcium Deposits & Plaque Buildup From Your Blocked Arteries

05:24
How I quickly improved my dad’s blood flow and circulation in only 30 days - NO drugs or diets! ►► http://drsam.co/yt/CureBlockedArteriesNaturally =============================================== Best Diet For Removing Calcium Deposits & Plaque Buildup From Your Clogged Arteries =============================================== When attempting to remove calcium deposits from the their blocked arteries, most people mistakenly stop eating any food that contains calcium. This is wrong and counterproductive because calcium has many benefits and it’s a very important mineral, especially in your BONES… But NOT in your arteries and heart. In fact, calcium deposits and plaque buildup is a sign of early aging. So you really need to be proactive and reverse and remove calcium and plaque buildup For anti-aging purposes For improved blood flow and circulation To help reduce your risk of a heart attack or stroke. And the good news is that no matter how old you are or how “bad” things may seem in your arteries, you can DEFINITELY help reverse and remove calcium and plaque buildup… quickly and easily. And you can do it naturally, without drugs or crazy restrictive diets. I’ve done it over and over again with hundreds and thousands of my clients, including my father! Your “Diet” The types of foods you eat AND avoid is very important for removing plaque building and preventing calcium deposits in your arteries and veins. The right foods will direct calcium and important minerals directly into your bones, instead of your arteries. The best type of diet to follow is an anti-inflammatory and low insulin-stimulating/blood sugar diet. CARBOHYDRATES 50% of your diet should come from low-glycemic, anti-inflammatory carbohydrates. This is because high insulin levels due to high blood sugar from the WRONG forms of carbohydrates, causes plaque to build in the lining of your arteries. There’s nothing wrong with carbohydrates… You just want to eliminate or minimize sugars and simple carbs such as white bread, cereals, pasta and most carbs that come in a “box”. Instead, you want to eat more natural carbohydrates such as Yams/sweet potatoes Quinoa Buckwheat (contains NO wheat or gluten) Legumes/beans Some fruit Lots of vegetables PROTEINS Less than 25% should come from healthy proteins. Most people eat way too much protein, especially in America. It’s not natural to eat so much protein. Your body doesn’t require much protein and “high protein” diets actually CAUSE plaque and calcium buildup in your arteries. Best Healthy Proteins Wild caught fish (salmon is great) Grass fed bison/buffalo Free range eggs (including the yolks) Small amounts of free-range chicken FATS 25% from healthy fats Most people eat way too much of the WRONG fats and barely any healthy “good” fats. Stay away from hydrogenated oils and trans fats. Do NOT cook or heat your fats. Stay away from most vegetable oils, especially the junk at the local supermarket. These are the WORST types of fats because they cause plaque buildup. Best Healthy Fats: Organic, extra virgin coconut Organic avocado Extra virgin olive oil Raw nuts (almonds & walnuts are great) LIQUIDS Don’t drink your calories. Nothing with sugars. No sodas, even if they are “no calories” because they acidify your body and cause calcium deposits. You also need to eliminate dairy. Milk is for babies and cow milk is for BABY COWS! Drink lots of water (lemon for taste), some green tea and maybe 1-2 cups of organic coffee. Your liver is your second largest organ and is vital to your body’s health, which is why it’s so important to detox your liver. The top 5 ways you can detox your liver: 1. Remove all toxins from your diet (processed grains, sugars, fast foods, packaged foods, conventional meat and diary, and eat real foods) 2. Consume liver detoxifying herbs like milk thistle, turmeric, and dandelion 3. Detox your emotions (emotions like frustration, resentment, unforgiveness, and anger directly affect your organs) 4. Eat real liver (chicken or beef liver) 5. How to Lower Uric Acid Naturally

04:09
High levels of uric acid in the blood, also called hyperuricemia, can result from either increased production of uric acid in the body or decreased excretion of it through the kidneys. It can further lead to problems like gouty arthritis, kidney stones and renal failure. Factors that can contribute to a high uric acid level include a diet high in purines (purines are broken down into uric acid), excess alcohol consumption, renal insufficiency, obesity, underactive thyroid, genetics, diabetes, acidosis, and certain other diseases. There are some tips and natural remedies that can help reduce and control uric acid levels. 1. Apple Cider Vinegar Being a natural cleanser and detoxifier, apple cider vinegar can help remove wastes like uric acid from the body. It contains malic acid that helps break down and eliminate uric acid. Add one teaspoon of raw, organic, unpasteurized apple cider vinegar to a glass of water. Drink this solution two or three times a day. You can gradually increase the amount of apple cider vinegar up to two tablespoons per glass of water and continue this remedy until your uric acid levels come down. 2. Lemon Juice Though it may seem that lemon juice will make the body more acidic, in actuality, it produces an alkaline effect and helps neutralize uric acid. Plus, its vitamin C content also helps lower uric acid levels. Squeeze the juice of one lemon into a glass of warm water. Drink it in the morning on an empty stomach. Continue for at least a few weeks. 3. Cherries Cherries and dark berries contain chemicals that help reduce uric acid levels. Eat one-half cup of cherries daily for a few weeks. You can also drink one or two cups of tart cherry juice for about four weeks. For even better results, add blueberries, strawberries, tomatoes and bell peppers to your diet. 4. Baking Soda Baking soda, is highly beneficial for lowering uric acid levels and reducing gout pain. It helps maintain the natural alkaline balance in the body and makes the uric acid more soluble and easier to flush out of the kidneys. Mix one-half teaspoon of baking soda in a glass of water. Drink up to four glasses of this daily for two weeks. You can drink it every two to four hours. Do not take this remedy on a regular basis. Also, do not take this remedy if you suffer from high blood pressure. People age 60 or older should not drink more than 3 glasses per day. 5. Olive Oil Most vegetable oils turn into rancid fats when heated or processed. The rancid fats destroy the vital vitamin E in the body, which is essential for controlling uric acid levels. Opt for cold-pressed olive oil rather than using vegetable oil or butter. Olive oil contains monounsaturated fats, vitamin E and antioxidants and has anti-inflammatory benefits. 6. Water Drinking plenty of water helps optimize uric acid filtering. It helps dilute the uric acid and stimulates the kidneys to eliminate excess amounts from the body through urine. Drinking adequate water regularly can reduce the risk of recurrent gout attacks. Drink at least eight to 10 glasses of water throughout the day. Also, include more fluids and fresh, water-rich fruits like watermelons, strawberries and tomatoes, and vegetables like cucumber, lettuce and celery in your diet. Is Rice Healthy?

06:10
For more info: https://draxe.com/brown-rice-nutrition/?utm_campaign=Youtube-Sept-2015&utm_medium=social&utm_source=youtube&utm_term=rice Today I am answering the question, “Is rice healthy?” and explaining the difference between white rice and brown rice. My answer is that it really depends on you. I will show you the pros and cons of rice and go over what I believe is the healthiest rice today. There is a debate today about if you should consume rice or not: ⁃ The paleo diet community says to stay grain-free and therefore that rice is not healthy ⁃ Chinese medicine followers and vegans think rice can be an incredible superfood I believe there is validity to both but it depends on the person and the preparation of the rice. Rice to stay away from: Refined White Rice (This is not jasmine or basmati rice but the sticky white rice from fast food or Chinese restaurants.) Rice Cons: • Fiber, minerals and vitamins have been removed. • Study shows that people are twice as likely to develop diabetes as opposed to those eating whole grain brown rice. • Contains phytic acid (enzyme inhibitor) which keeps you from absorbing and digesting vitamins and minerals. • Contains proteins that are difficult to digest Rice Pros: • Whole grain brown rice is high in B3 which is good for heart health. • Whole grain brown rice is high in selenium which supports the thyroid and kidneys. • Certain types of rice contain GABA, a neurotransmitter that can support the brain and help reduce anxiety as well as support metabolism. So ... is rice healthy? Is brown rice healthy? It depends on how it is prepared. I believe if rice is soaked and sprouted, it unlocks the vitamins and minerals versus most rices that aren’t sprouted. I personally consume an organic rice from the company, True Roots. It is a germinated brown rice (soaked and sprouted) which kills off phytic acid and is easier to digest. In Chinese medicine, look up “qi” or “chi.” They believe that short grain brown rice increase your body’s “qi” which is your body’s life source and energy. It is considered to be one of the #1 healing foods. I suggest my patients make a “congee” with chicken bone broth, brown rice and vegetables such as carrots and celery. This chicken vegetable rice soup is healing and nourishing to the body. In conclusion, is rice healthy? Yes, it can be if you are doing sprouted rice that is traditionally prepared. Simply put, stay away from white refined rice that is void of vitamins and minerals and can cause a spike in your blood sugar and insulin levels. *This content is strictly the opinion of Dr. Josh Axe, and is for informational and educational purposes only. Eat 1 Tablespoon of Coconut Oil a Day and THIS Will Happen to Your Thyroid

03:19
Coconut oil has many health benefits that are well-documented. However, one recently discovered benefit is that coconut oil can help treat symptoms of hypothyroidism, or an under-active thyroid. Hypothyroidism occurs when the body’s thyroid gland does not make enough hormones to allow the body to function appropriately. Coconut oil contains a fatty acid called lauric acid, which has anti-inflammatory properties. Coconut oil also contains capric acid, which has antimicrobial and antiviral properties. It is recommended that you use extra virgin coconut oil for the best health benefits. One tablespoon of extra virgin coconut oil should be consumed daily. It can be added to hot beverages, such as tea or coffee, and added to daily cooking, drizzled over a salad or added to a smoothie. Today’s video will discuss health issues that coconut oil can help treat. 1. Metabolism When the body’s thyroid is under-active, it can cause the body to feel fatigued and without energy. The fatty acids in coconut oil help the fats in the body convert to energy. This, in turn, boosts the body’s metabolic rate. 2. Weight Loss One of the most major symptoms of an under-active thyroid is unexplained weight gain. The weight is very hard to lose and the thyroid hormones directly slow down the body’s metabolism. The Journal of Nutrition published a study that showed the fatty acids in coconut oil help to keep the body feeling fuller, longer. Thus, assisting the body in shedding excess weight. 3. Constipation When hormones from the thyroid are low, the body’s organs run slower as well, causing the digestive tract and intestines to lag. The fatty acids in coconut oil provide the body with energy and boost organ function. Coconut oil also works as a natural laxative and is effective in fighting constipation. 4. Inflammation An under-active thyroid causes muscle and joint pain, largely from unbalanced hormone levels. Coconut oil can naturally calm any inflammation and relieve any pain. 5. Hair Loss The thyroid can affect the health of your hair and may even cause it to begin to fall out. However, adding coconut oil to your regime will prevent this from occurring and repair hair follicles. 6. Dry Skin The imbalance of hormones caused by an under-active thyroid can cause the body’s skin to become dry and flaky. Coconut oil can be added directly to the affected skin to restore its moisture and healthy skin. Have you experienced an under-active thyroid? Have you tried any of these remedies? Let us know in our comment section. To support our channel and level up your health, check out: Our Fast Weight Loss Course: http://thehealthnerds.com/the-science-of-fast-weight-loss-course Our Better Health Basics Course: http://thehealthnerds.com/food-health-happiness Trying to find the solution to stop cravings? Look no further. This video is the ultimate guide to stopping sugar, food, and sweet cravings for good with 8 natural appetite suppressants that work. Food and sugar cravings are a dieter’s worst enemy. Everyone has experienced that moment when walk to the fridge, look inside, realize nothing is on your “diet,” and walk away disappointed. Sometimes it can even be difficult to tell if you’re body is actually hungry or just bored. And while there is plenty of bad advice, pills, and hocus pocus theories out there, today, The Health Nerd is going teach you how to stop cravings with 8 simple appetite suppressants that actually work. #1. Drink water first Thirst and hunger cravings are often confused. This is because our sedentary lifestyle does not fit what our bodies were designed to do, so the brain “prompts” us to get up and go do something. To conquer this, drink a large glass of water when “hungry” and then wait a few minutes. You will often find that the craving goes away and your body was simply “bored” and searching for a dopamine hit. #2. Sip on some Peppermint Tea A study done by Wheeling University showed that inhaling the scent of peppermint every two hours caused people to eat 1800 less calories than normal. It also showed reduced cravings for sugars and fatty foods. #3. Try Mediation Strange but true, meditating has been shown to reduce binge eating by up to 70% in severe food addicts. It has also been shown to increase focus, improve sleep, reduce stress and anxiety, and make you more empathetic of others. You only need 5 – 10 minutes for these effects, And it can be done anywhere… #4. Eat lots of protein and fibrous carbs at the same time Protein has been shown to greatly reduce cravings and help people naturally decrease their calories by up to 441 per day. Fiber has been shown to reduce appetite by up to 39% as well. Combine them in meals like a steak and spinach salad or an apple with a high quality whey protein shake. #5. Drink decaf coffee It looks like decaf coffee has finally found its place in the world. Not only does it have antioxidants and nutrients, it is also a strong appetite suppressant. In fact, it was proven to beat out regular coffee and caffeine pills for helping people stop cravings. #6. Drink apple cider vinegar throughout your day Vinegar increases the fullness you feel from your meals and causes people to eat 200-275 fewer calories throughout their day. Apple cider vinegar can also help you fight sugar cravings by stopping those mid-day crashes with its blood sugar leveling effects. Drink 2 tablespoons in 8 oz of water 30 minutes before your meals for best results. #7. Spice things up. Adding in cayenne pepper to your meals has been shown to increase metabolism and curb appetite. It has also been proven to increase fat burning in men and women. So adding in a little Sriracha or Louisiana hot sauce to your food will help stop your cravings. #8. Eat satiating foods The biggest problem people have is eating foods that don’t truly satisfy them. Foods like butter, white bread, ice cream, and pizza fill you up with calories but are proven to still leave the body unsatisfied. On the flip side, foods like watermelon, grapefruit, steak, broiled fish, oatmeal, apples, and potatoes have been proven to leave the body feeling full. Eat more of those foods to stop your cravings. It circulates throughout the body, bathing our cells, providing them with nutrients and oxygen and also picking up unwanted substances like, bacteria, and filters them out of the body. In addition to its cleansing functions, the lymph is also the body’s major fat-processing system – allows the absorption of fats and fat-soluble vitamins from the digestive system, followed by transport of these fats to your blood circulation. Lymph carries fatty acids to the liver, the main fat burning organ, for further processing and metabolism. This causes fat to accumulate in the body, especially in the abdomen, as well as other negative signs of a sluggish lymphatic system. (1,2,3) Exercise – Upper/Lower Splits: The lymphatic system has no heart to keep lymph moving and is instead moved by exercise, specifically muscle expansion and contraction. As muscles tighten, lymph vessels are squeezed and lymph is pushed along and filtered through lymph nodes on its way back to the veins and the heart. The main lymph vessels run up the legs, up the arms and up the torso - the largest groupings are found in the neck, armpits, and groin areas. Caffeine: A study from the Canadian Journal of Physiology and Pharmacology (2016) looked at the effect of caffeine on ketone levels. The study looked at the addition of 2.5 mg/kg caffeine (equiv. to ca. 1.5-3 cups of coffee w/ ~95 mg/cup) and 5.0 mg/kg caffeine (equiv. to ca. 3-5 cups of coffee w/ ~95 mg/cup) to subjects’ breakfast. The lower dose (almost) and the higher dose (more than) doubled the subjects’ concentrations of ketone bodies and free fatty acids in the subjects’ blood – ketones became more pronounced over time. Should be noted that subjects consumed caffeine pills; caffeine in the form of coffee will work just as effectively, but need to be careful of what additives you are including in your coffee (4) MCT’s: Because of their shorter length, MCTs are more easily digested and absorbed in the GI tract than LCTs. Once dietary fats are absorbed by the GI the body must then transport it to the liver where it is metabolized to produce energy. MCTs are transported directly from the gastrointestinal tract through the bloodstream to the liver. Fat metabolism occurs in the mitochondria of the liver and the liver then converts these molecules to fatty acids and ketone bodies. MCTs provide immediate energy because they are able to cross the double mitochondrial membrane very rapidly and do not require the presence of carnitine (LCTs require carnitine to enter the mitochondria) (5) Fasting: The initial phase of fasting involves a process known as gluconeogenesis, which simply means the creation of new glucose. When there is no endogenous glucose to be found, the body will then seek out other ways of getting energy and begins to adapt to these new conditions – on average, if you don’t eat for 10–16 hours, your body will go to its fat stores for energy, and fatty acids called ketones will be released into the bloodstream. The more keto-adapted you become the more ketones you’ll successfully utilize. At first, the brain and muscles are quite glucose dependent. But eventually they start to prefer fat for fuel. Mix Lemon Juice and Olive Oil for Amazing Benefits

04:07
We are always on the look out for all-natural alternatives to over-the-counter or prescription medication. It seems that we found one in lemon juice and olive oil. In today’s video, we will discuss the health benefits of mixing the two. While you’re not going to cure major diseases when drinking olive oil and lemon juice, this mixture has been shown to reduce problematic symptoms and prevent complications. Now, let’s discuss: 1. Detox the Body Lemon juice and olive oil are both known substances for detoxifying your body. They can rid your body of harmful toxins. They also help to clean your gallbladder and liver and help to protect them against damaging particles. 2. Relieves Constipation Olive oil is a natural laxative that helps to keep your bowels moving and comfortable. Lemon juice is an anti-inflammatory and helps to relieve any swelling of the intestines and the abdominal wall. The mixture of the two does wonders for your stomach, as it keeps your bowels moving, relieves painful gas and reduces abdominal stress. 3. Benefits Hair, Skin and Nails The mixture of olive oil and lemon juice helps to keep your nails moist and strong. The mixture can even be added directly to your cuticles to keep them healthy and reduce the chances of growing a hangnail. The lemon juice also fights germs and cleans your skin, so it also reduces or rids your scalp of dandruff. 4. Cholesterol This mixture can bring down high levels of bad cholesterol, while simultaneously increasing your good cholesterol. It can also help to keep your joints moving smoothly and minimizes stress on your joints and bones. 5. Helps with Circulation Olive oil helps increase the blood flow throughout your body and prevents blood clots from forming. Along with consuming the olive oil and lemon juice mixture, you can even apply it directly to your skin to prevent and reduce the appearance of varicose veins. 6. Fights Abdominal Fat While this mixture will not burn your fat, it can help you to remove excess weight. The mixture helps your body to digest fats better and increases your metabolism. The mixture contains fatty acids that are important to your body because they help to get rid of excess water weight and burn excess fat in your stomach. 7. Helps with Blood Pressure Consuming some olive oil and lemon juice for breakfast will make sure your blood pressure stays stable and does not spike up. It will also help to make your heart rate more regular. This is because lemons and olive oil fight toxins and contains essential minerals. 8. Fights Premature Aging Just one spoonful of this mixture everyday will keep your skin healthy and youthful. The mixture contains Vitamin E, which is essential in fighting wrinkles, arthritis and heart disease. The mixture also contains mono-saturated fats and essential minerals that help your organs and your digestive system to function properly. So, now that you know the benefits of mixing olive oil and lemon juice, you are likely wondering how it is made. It is important that you do not take more than one spoonful of this mixture per day. If you do, you may experience some ill side effects. Ingredients: ½ tablespoon olive oil ½ tablespoon fresh lemon juice What to do: Mix the two ingredients together and consume one half hour before breakfast. While you can use this mixture everyday, you will want to consume it at least three times per week to experience positive effects. Are you going to try this mixture? 5 Reasons to Take Supplements (AND WHEN YOU NEVER SHOULD!)

10:08
Highest quality supplements. Used by today’s top professional athletes. http://athleanx.com/x/tested-trusted-true-supplements One of the most common questions asked is whether someone needs to take supplements in order to build muscle and see results. It is a good question and one that has two completely different answers depending on the person asking it. In this video, I explain to you 5 reasons you need to take supplements and when you never should take them. If you can’t deal with brutal honesty however, I would advise you not to watch, as some feelings may be hurt. To determine whether or not you are a candidate for supplementation you have to start with your experience level and current condition. If you are just starting out and are relegated to lifting 5 pound dumbbells for most of your exercises, you are likely not ready for supplements. You can gain far more benefits focusing on building up your strength and foundation while learning proper form and the best way to train than with stuffing your face with supplements. The same can be said if you have allowed your diet and nutrition to put you grossly overweight. Supplements are not your savior. You first must figure out how to rededicate yourself to your nutrition so that you can lose enough weight to make supplements a viable part of the discussion once again to take you and your results to the next level. Next you have to ask yourself if you are motivated enough to take supplements. Some people view supplementation as a way to be lax with the rest of their fitness and nutrition plan. They figure that as long as they are taking the supplements that they don’t have to worry much about everything else. Couldn’t be further from the truth. On the other hand, sometimes the act of supplementing makes you much more accountable for the rest of your actions. In this case, it can be a great advantage to helping you stay on track. If stress is a big part of your life, be it from your work or family, supplements can become even more necessary to help keep you on track and combat that. We all know that proper nutrition and fueling can go a long way towards helping your body fight fatigue and breakdown. If stress is heavy in your life then you would particularly want to look into supplements to help keep you healthy and consistent with your nutrition in the face of schedule disruption. Finally, ask yourself if you think that you can get all the benefits of supplements from food alone. If you think so, I can tell you in most cases you are wrong. For instance, there is simply no practical way to get as much creatine as you would need to experience its benefits from food alone. I said practical. Sure, you may be able to do it in theory, but when you consider the roadblocks that I present to you in the video you quickly realize this won’t work. For a complete supplement and nutrition line that is tested and trusted by today’s top professional athletes, be sure to head to http://athleanx.com/athleanrx and get your Rx Supplement bundle. Feel what a difference supplementation can make and see first hand how it can take your results to the next level. B Tea: How to Increase Energy without Caffeine

09:06
If you were to take a random poll on the street and ask people how to increase energy the top three most popular answers would most likely be coffee, caffeine and energy drinks. And sure, any sort of stimulant will give you a temporary energy surge. However, if you are relying on stimulants day after day and week after week then you are more or less just putting a band-aid on your energy problem. There are of course plenty of lifestyle factors that also help increase energy levels. For example, getting adequate sleep, regular exercise and exposure to natural sunlight (for vitamin D) are all important daily habits for natural zip, pep and go. However, many times a lack of energy is directly correlated with diet and poor nutrition. Many nutrients work in synergy and contribute to vigor and vitality in overlapping ways, but there is one group of nutrients that really stand out as being the "energizing vitamins". And yet, it is estimated that as many as 15 to 40% of people are deficient in one or more B vitamins. No wonder so many people list lack of energy as one of their number one complaints! The B vitamin group are so well known for their ability to boost energy that many energy drinks are fortified with unnaturally high levels (note: unnaturally high is not necessarily synonymous with safe!) However, there is a 100% safe, all-natural and super easy way to get your daily B vitamin fix along with a surge of energy with my secret "B Tea".... My Every Sunday DIY Natural Skin Care Routine Plus Three DIY Projects

10:48
In this video I show my face care, hair care and hand care routine using only natural ingredients. And, of course, I show how to make three DIY projects – DIY Makeup Remover, DIY Mirror Decoration and DIY Motivation Wall Art. I start with DIY Natural Face Care. First step is to open pores with steam bath. To make it you will need 3 tablespoons sea salt, 700 ml hot (boiling) water, a bowl and a towel to cover yourself for better effect. Keep safe distance from the hot water (about 15-25 cm) and steam your face for 10 minutes. Then just gently dry it with towel. The second step is a DIY lip scrub. You will need a sugar to make it. Just scrub your lips with sugar in circular motion for 3-5 minutes, then rinse with water or remove sugar with wet cotton pad. I use beet sugar because it is vegan. The third step is to clean nose pores (to prevent (or remove, if you have) blackheads). I use a slice of lime fruit. Just press it to your nose for 2 minutes. Works great! Fourth - a DIY facial scrub. I don't use any special recipes for it – just scrub wet face with ground coffee. It works just perfect! I wouldn't say I do it too gently, but not too hard too. After scrubbing your skin feels like a dolphin skin LOL It's awesome. I also scrub all my body with ground coffee once a week. Wash with warm water. NOTE! You would probably need to wash your face twice, because sometimes coffee paint your skin. It's ok, just wash your face again. The fifth step is a DIY Natural facial mask. It is anti-aging and vitaminize your skin with vitamin C – the most powerful anti-wrinkles vitamin. This is not the one vitamin in this mask, but the most important. So you will need a half of avocado, a piece of mango (vitamins A and C) and a branch of parsley (vitamin C champion). Avocado gives your skin natural fats and those two, I would say “attack” your skin with vitamin C. Benefits of this mask: Avocado contains fatty acids, beta carotene, protein, vitamin A, E and D which moisturize your skin, protect it from ultraviolet rays and increase collagen metabolism. Mango is rich in vitamins A and C – antioxidants! It contains collagen which smooth your skin and prevent wrinkles appearing. Parsley – is a champion in vitamin C! It is anti-aging, full of anti-cancer antioxidants, prevents acne! I keep this mask on my face for 20 minutes (till it's surface will dry) and rinse with warm water. BUT! Just after applying this mask on your face – cut two slices of cucumber and put them on your closed eyes for 5 minutes. Super relaxing and nourishing you eyelids with vitamin C! I've decided to make DIYs while sitting with mask. :) So here the first one (of three) – the best ever DIY Makeup Remover. All you need is a cotton pads (I took 14 for 1 week (2 per day)), a jar with lid and extra virgin olive oil. Use it for one week and then refill the jar. It is the best make-up remover ever. Moving to the hair! My Natural DIY Hair Care is very simple – just apply extra virgin olive oil all over your hair (don't forget the tips) with plastic hairbrush or comb. If you have oily hair – better to not apply the olive oil on head's skin. Wait for 30 (at least) minutes (better 40) and wash with your regular shampoo. NOTE! All my skin care routine is vegan and cruelty-free! So please, use only cruelty-free shampoo! Meanwhile... DIY project #2 – DIY Vanity Mirror Decoration. I took a mirror and decorated it with artificial flowers and leaves – natural-looking mirror for natural skin care :) DIY Natural Hand Care is the next! Ground rice with mortar and pestle (just to crack every seed on three-four parts, don't make a rice flour) and scrub your wet hands with ground rice for 3 minutes. It whiten your skin and makes it soooo smooooth. Awesome! And the third DIY – is a DIY Motivation wall art on canvas. You can make it on paper and put into the frame ;) I used an Oscar Wilde's quote “Be yourself; everyone else is already taken”. It matches for the theme of the video I think. I printed the image I made myself in photo editor app for my smartphone. You can print it from my site (idunngoddess.com) or trace the image from the screen to paper. Then painted the letters, covered them with glitter nail polish, cut them off and glued to the canvas. I placed a little mirror instead of letter "o" and I think it suits to the phrase perfectly. Few more decorating elements (gold glitter tape and gold paper) and you're done!
