See how my parents lowered their cholesterol by 30 pts in 30 days - no diets or drugs: ►►►http://drsam.co/yt/LowerYourCholesterolBy30Points =============================== 2 Best Exercises For Lowering Cholesterol =============================== The best part is that it requires no money and can be done anywhere, anytime... But before I start with the exercises, I want to first discuss the REAL CAUSE of high cholesterol… something that most doctors don’t know Back in 1998 my parent’s blood work both showed high cholesterol levels. To make a long story short, we tried everything… Cholesterol lowering “statin” drugs - but these just had a ton of negative side-effects, as I’m sure you know. Change in lifestyle -- better diet, exercise, rest, etc.. -- this did help in the long-run, but it requires a lot more discipline and sacrafices Supplements, herbs and vitamins - most were just a waste of time and money. Only about 6-7 key ingredients had a magical effect. And I’ll tell you which ones at the end of this short presentation What I discovered through all of these things we tested is that the real cause of high cholesterol is genetics and the change in your HORMONES due to AGING! And this is why the older we get, the higher the cholesterol levels. And why women who go through menopause, all of a sudden have high cholesterol… Again, the change in hormones. And this is why teenagers and people in their 20’s rarely have cholesterol problems and yet, they live a very unhealthy life-style. Exercise And this is where the correct type of exercise can make improvements in your “youth hormones”, which will eventually cause an improvement in your cholesterol and lipid levels. One of the best ways to improve your “youth” hormones and help reverse aging, is by utilizing “resistant exercise”. Basically, lifting weights! This can be done with free weights, cables, machines or even your own bodyweight. Thus, this can be done almost anywhere, anytime -- no machines or gyms. When you lift weights, you increase testosterone, growth hormones, thyroid hormones and other “youth” hormones, which naturally help “fix” many health problems over time -- one of them being high cholesterol. And don’t worry, you’re not going to get “buffed” out - especially women. That’s just genetics and lots of steroids. Walking The next best exercise is walking. Again, you can do it anywhere, anytime. Walking is great because it is AEROBIC (with oxygen), while lifting weights is ANAEROBIC (without oxygen). You need both. The REAL benefit with walking is that it helps lower your stress hormones, such as cortisol -- which is an “aging” hormone. As far as how much, how often and how long? Start off lifting weights 3x a week, 20-45 min max. That’s all you need. And walk 3-4x weekly, 20-45 min. Start low and build up over time. You can do your walking and lifting weights on the same day or on alternate days … or whenever. What’s important is that you just do it! Watch more Healthy Eating videos: http://www.howcast.com/videos/432350-How-to-Reduce-Bad-Cholesterol A little attention to detail never hurt anyone and may have benefits if it involves monitoring what you put in your body. Reduce your bad cholesterol through simple disciplined measures that are proven to help. Step 1: Disrupt fat with exercise Use exercise to naturally disrupt the metabolism of fat. Eating less helps, but excess body fat will keep cholesterol up until you actually lose pounds by breaking a sweat. Moderate walking and workouts five days a week can raise good cholesterol by 10 percent. Tip The National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute of the National Institutes of Health suggests everyone 20 and over should check their levels of bad cholesterol every five years. Step 2: Relax and reflect Relax and reflect periodically, rather than give in to the high tension that constricts arteries and raises blood pressure. If you're constantly stressing out, consider making some long-term changes that will eliminate some of your stres for good. Step 3: Get good greens Drink green tea, full of compounds that can help lower bad cholesterol. Eat leafy greens as well, for soluble fiber that sponges up cholesterol in the digestive tract. Step 4: Consume nuts Consume nuts instead of cheese, meat, or croutons in salads. According to the Food and Drug Administration, a daily handful of 42.5 grams of nuts may reduce cholesterol and the risk of heart disease. Step 5: Substitute fish Substitute meat with fish twice or three times weekly. Consuming fish can profoundly lower cholesterol and triglycerides. Step 6: Choose smart fats Select smart fats for your diet, substituting canola or olive oils for vegetable oil, butter, margarine, lard, or shortening. It's not merely fats, but the kind of fats you eat, that make the difference. Tip Eggs do not drastically increase cholesterol. Step 7: Take drugs to lower cholesterol Take a cholesterol-lowering drug if you have evident cardiovascular risks. Beforehand, consider alternatives like niacin, bile acid resins, and fibrates. Step 8: Commit to win Resolve to make changes, and live a healthy lifestyle. It's your life -- only you can make the changes to lower your bad cholesterol. Did You Know? In 2010, researchers identified nearly 100 gene variants possibly linked to as much as one third of hereditary factors influencing cholesterol production.

Magical drink to reduce cholesterol in 2 weeks. With Only Half Cup A Day You Will Lower Your Cholesterol and Lose Belly Fat Like Crazy!!! With Only 3 Tablespoons A Day You Will Lower Your Cholesterol and Lose Belly Fat Like Crazy!!! Cholesterol is a fatty substance made by your body and found in certain foods. Your body needs some cholesterol in order to function properly, but having too much (high cholesterol) puts you at risk for having a heart attack or stroke. The extra cholesterol that isn’t used by your body builds up in blood vessel walls, causing blockages. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), having high cholesterol doubles your risk of heart disease. Total cholesterol = LDL + HDL + Triglycerides LDL (low-density lipoprotein cholesterol, also called "bad" cholesterol) HDL (high-density lipoprotein cholesterol, also called "good" cholesterol) Triglycerides (fats carried in the blood from the food we eat. Excess calories, alcohol, or sugar in the body are converted into triglycerides and stored in fat cells throughout the body.) The good news is that lifestyle changes are effective in helping you reduce cholesterol levels. They’re also fairly straightforward and can be done at any age. Exercise: Physical activity helps you lose weight and boosts your HDL levels. Aim for 30 to 60 minutes a day of moderate cardio. Eat more fiber: Replace white breads and pastas with whole grains. Eat healthy fats: Olive oil, avocado, and nuts all have fats that won’t raise your LDL. Limit cholesterol intake: Reduce the amount of high-saturated fat foods like cheese, whole milk, and high-fat red meats. Quit smoking. It’s important to remember that everyone is different. Family history and whether or not you have other conditions, such as diabetes, plays a role in your individual risks. Talk to your doctor about your cholesterol levels and ask what he or she thinks your numbers should be. how to reduce cholesterol quickly how to lower cholesterol without medication lower cholesterol diet how to lower your cholesterol in 2 days supplements to lower cholesterol how to reduce cholesterol naturally home remedies foods to avoid with high cholesterol how to control cholesterol in indian diet how to prevent heart attack with food how to prevent heart attack naturally how to avoid heart attack while sleeping how to prevent heart attack when alone how to prevent a heart attack while it's happening how to prevent heart attack at night how to prevent heart attack from happening how to avoid heart attack symptoms how to prevent a stroke naturally foods that prevent stroke how to stop a stroke in progress how to prevent a stroke after a mini stroke how to prevent a stroke aspirin how to prevent a stroke or heart attack how to prevent a stroke from happening again stroke prevention diet To view more, click here: https://goo.gl/ONjJau SUBSCRIBE: Click here: https://goo.gl/wsOEBM Connect with me on: Email: firstname.lastname@example.org Muskaan Science Academy: https://goo.gl/ndG6eG Google Plus: https://goo.gl/6bNOp4 Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/muskaan.hamad Blog: http://beautyandmakeuptips2016.blogspot.com/ Tumblr: https://naturalhomeremedies.tumblr.com/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/muskaanhamad/ Vine: Search "Muskaan Hamad" on vine! Hi! I'm robo-Suzie and today I'll talk to you about Can Exercise Reduce Cholesterol. Guidelines And Tips. Also don't forget to subscribe for more tips in the future! But back to our topic. Can exercise reduce cholesterol? All of us know that exercise is generally good for fat reduction as well as to lead a healthier life. But can it really help in lowering down your cholesterol level? The answer is that regular exercise reduces the fat in one's body which is directly linked to lowering down your cholesterol levels. Hence a good exercise routine is a great way to tackle high cholesterol issues and have an overall healthier lifestyle. It does not matter whether you are overweight or not, regular exercise can certainly reduce cholesterol. Further, you can also moderate your physical activity to help raise the 'good' cholesterol (HDL) in your body. Here are some guidelines on how you can exercise regularly to control your cholesterol. If your doctor has identified a cholesterol disorder in you, you need to have your physician check your cardiovascular health status before entering into any kind of rigorous exercise program. The reason for this is that some middle-aged men and older adults may not be able to go through intensive workout sessions, which can lead to higher risks of heart attacks. It is extremely important to know if your heart is working perfectly through an ECG test. Choose moderate intensity workouts that are high enough where you can last at least 20 to 30 minutes. A moderate exercise can rank an approximate of 4 to 7 on a scale of 10, with 10 being the maximum intensity. There are no defined exercises for high cholesterol but you can choose between running, cycling, swimming, aerobics, walking etc. In general, for lowering the high levels of cholesterol, a high intensity workout is recommended (for instance - 1,500 kcal per week). You will find that in the next 12 to 16 weeks your level of cholesterol might be decreased from 10% to 20%. 1500 calories per week is equivalent to 3 to 4 hours of moderate intensity swimming, walking, jogging or cycling. One must remember that the volume of physical activity needed to lose weight is the same for cholesterol lowering. A sample exercise program. Start a workout routine by walking 20 minutes a day which should go on for four days a week. After 6 to 8 weeks you can increase your walking time to 2 hours and extend it to 6 to 7 days a week. Another workout program would be to get involved in an aerobics class 3 days a week and alternatively walk 50 to 60 minutes three days a week. The seventh day can be allotted for a tennis match or so on. One must realise that exercise results in fat loss which is directly associated with decreasing cholesterol levels inside one's body. A regular weekly exercise routine have various other benefits including improved fitness, overall health, reduction in blood pressure, reduction in diabetes risk and psychological well-being. Exercise increases the HDL cholesterol (which is the good cholesterol inside the body), while reducing the amount of LDL cholesterol, which is harmful for your body. When you exercise, your blood circulation increases, helping to clear away any kind of blood vessel clots which will make your heart stronger and more efficient. Being physically active can also help your cholesterol level, whether it involves everyday activities like gardening, cleaning or just any physical activity. That's it! Thank you. Please subscribe, comment and like this video if it was helpful! See you soon!

Tell Me Your Success with Before & After Images: https://www.drberg.com/add-client-suc... Take Dr. Berg's Advanced Evaluation Quiz: http://bit.ly/EvalQuiz Your report will then be sent via email analyzing 104 potential symptoms, giving you a much deeper insight into the cause-effect relationship of your body issues. It's free and very enlightening. Dr. Berg talks about cholesterol being high on a ketogenic diet. This is an oversimplified talk and for more detailed data - see the video on LDL. However, as your fat cells shrink, the fat cell not only releases triglycerides, but cholesterol too. Many people do not know the fat cells are filled with both. The excess cholesterol needs to either be eliminated through the liver and gallbladder (bile) or be recycled. This is all a normal process on ketosis. Hey guys, I want to talk about what will happen if your cholesterol went high on a ketogenic diet. The first thing you should know is that when you lose weight, the fat cells actually shrink. They won’t go away completely, you can’t get rid of the fat cells but you can shrink it. Second thing you need to know is inside that fat cell you have, triglycerides and cholesterol. A lot of people don’t realize that cholesterol is also stored in the fat cells. As the fat cell shrinks, you can burn triglycerides for fuel but you cannot burn cholesterol, it is not a fuel source. It is going to be eliminated to the body as you lose weight. As the fat cell is squeezed, the cholesterol is going to increase in the blood and is going to go in the liver and comes out to the bile. As long as your liver is healthy and you’re eating a lot of vegetables, and you have enough bile, you are totally fine even if your LDL is fine. The key thing is to make sure that your triglycerides are low because if you are not using your triglycerides as a fuel then there is a problem, you are probably eating too much sugar but when you are in ketogenic diet and you are doing it correctly and your triglycerides are low and your HDL and LDL is high, all that means is that you are burning more LDL and there is no bad effects that are going to happen, just keep your vegetables high and as you keep closer to your weight loss goal, that will level out and come back normal. Today we will discuss how apple cider vinegar can help to reduce you cholesterol and maintain a good blood pressure. The role of apples in healthy cholesterol levels relies on their concentration of pectin, a fiber common to many fruits. The pectin found in ACV attracts bad cholesterol (LDL) and gets rid of unnecessary cholesterol, making your levels much healthier. With more pectin to absorb cholesterol in your system, levels are maintained at a healthy rate. The acetic acid in apple-cider vinegar is what makes it effective in lowering low-density-level (LDL) cholesterol. Also known as bad cholesterol, LDL cholesterol can increase a person's risk of developing serious conditions, such as heart disease and hypertension. How to drink Apple cider vinegar: According to a study published in the British Journal of Clinical Nutrition, researchers found that if you consume just one tablespoon of apple cider vinegar in the morning, it helps to lower your cholesterol to normal level. Ingredients: 1 tablespoon of Lemon Juice 1 Tablespoon Apple Cider Vinegar 1 tablespoon of Honey 1 Small Piece of grated ginger 1 Medium Size grated garlic clove Preparation: Mix very well all the ingredients until they combine. this recipe for one time only. you can make large quantity by adding the ingredients proportionately and store them in refrigerator. This is because the fructose sugar in fruits, can actually increase your blood pressure and cholesterol levels, while also increasing your risk for diabetes. All bad for your heart. Anyway, if fruit isn’t really that good for your health - then why am I promoting “fruit” in today’s topic? Well, the fruit I’m referring to is an Avocado! Now, most people call it a vegetable because it’s green. However, the avocado is technically a fruit, and even more specifically, a single-seeded berry. Personally, I categorize an avocado under FATS because one medium size avocado (150 grams) has about1: 240 calories 12 calories (3 grams) from protein 12 calories (3 grams + 9 grams fiber) from carbohydrates 216 of calories (24 grams) being from fat (90% of the calories) Now, the TYPE of fat is the key to avocado’s “cholesterol lowering” secret and I’ll get to that in a minute. As far as clinical proof for improving your cholesterol… One study2 saw a 16% decrease in total cholesterol after only 7 days of a diet high in monounsaturated fat from avocados and a 22% decrease of both the “bad” LDL-cholesterol and triglycerides, along with an 11% increase the “good” HDL cholesterol. In a second study3, the participants saw an average drop of 14 points in “bad” LDL cholesterol with a higher avocado diet The “Secret” Heart-Healthy Fat Now, the reason for avocado’s working so well is that 66% of the fat is from monounsaturated fats!1 Most people like olive oil as the main source of monounsaturated fats. However, I don’t because most olive oil is rancid and processed. It’s “fake”. Most of the healthier, “extra virgin oils” break down at a lower heat temperature and thus, it’s best kept UNCOOKED and eaten raw. My favorite monounsaturated fat to cook with is macadamia oil because it’s not processed very much and also has a high heat capacity, so it’s great for cooking.4 Summary So if you want a healthier heart and lower your cholesterol, decrease your sugars and increase healthy monounsaturated fats from my favorite heart-healthy fruit, an avocado! ======================================== Thank you for watching. 7 Best supplements that will clean your arteries naturally at home : Heart attacks are caused by the blood supply to the heart being suddenly interrupted. Without this supply, heart muscles may be damaged and begin to die. fatty deposits called plaque buildup in your arteries, they can narrow the vessels and raise your risk of atherosclerosis and heart disease. Several supplements are available that, over time, might help dissolve plaque and improve the function of your arteries, lowering your risk of chronic circulatory problems. Here are 7supplements that can help you unclog your arteries 1. Take fish oil supplements. If you don’t like fish or don’t have access to fish, you can simply take fish oil supplements to help get omega-3 fats. Look for fish oils that contain EPA and DHA oils. Although you might expect consuming fat to increase arterial plaque, omega-3 fatty acids may help slow plaque deposition and, over time, reduce its amount, according to experts at the University of Maryland Medical Center. Consuming supplements containing these unsaturated, healthy fatty acids can lower levels of blood triglycerides while raising levels of HDL, helping to keep your blood cholesterol in a healthy range. They may also help prevent inflammation of the arterial lining and reduce the risk of blood clots, both of which promote plaque deposits. 2. Take psyllium supplements. If you have difficulty getting enough fiber from foods, you can take psyllium supplements. Psyllium is a water-soluble fiber available in pill and powder forms. 3. Increase soy protein through supplements. Soy proteins are commonly available as powders that you can mix into a variety of foods and beverages (juices, smoothies, etc.). Several studies have shown that soy protein supplementation can have a beneficial effect on your cholesterol levels. 4. Take niacin supplements. You can also take niacin (vitamin B3) to help lower cholesterol levels. However, talk to your physician and monitor niacin supplementation closely. Common side effects at high doses include: • Flushing of the skin • Stomach upset • Headaches • Dizziness • Blurred vision • Increased risk of liver damage 5. Garlic Supplement. Garlic isn't just a culinary herb but is also a useful supplement if you're concerned about arterial plaque and atherosclerosis, according to evidence summarized at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. Garlic contains a compound that's converted into allicin when cloves are crushed. Allicin could help lower blood levels of cholesterol by suppressing a liver enzyme that makes cholesterol. This eventually reduces plaque so You can simply add more fresh garlic to your food or take garlic supplements if you don’t enjoy garlic in foods. 6. Take plant sterol supplements. Beta-sitosterol and sitostanol are two additional supplements that may have a positive impact on cholesterol. You can find these options in supplement form at most vitamin shops or health food stores. 7. Take coenzyme Q-10 (CoQ-10) supplements. CoQ-10 is an essential nutrient used to treat a variety of heart and blood vessel conditions. It can also counteract muscle pain resulting from other cholesterol-lowering medications called “statins.” Consider taking CoQ-10 if your doctor has prescribed one of these medications. check out my other similar videos https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RFE8MFBZURI 😍 15 Foods That Unclog Arteries Naturally And Protect Against Heart Attack https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_-yVQyl2k4s 😍 7 Lifestyle Changes That Will Clean Your Arteries Naturally And Protect You From Heart Attack NOTE: The materials and the information contained onNatural ways channel are provided for general and educational purposes only and do not constitute any legal, medical or other professional advice on any subject matter. Doctors and nutritionists highly recommend making oatmeal a part of your diet and having it as your healthy morning meal. The secret is simple: good-quality environmentally-friendly oats help you feel and look better on the inside and out. Oats have some unique properties thanks to the wide variety of vitamins and minerals they contain. Zinc helps cleanse the skin and remove toxins and other harmful compounds. Iron is one of the most important elements for the nutrition and saturation of moisture in skin cells. Magnesium promotes blood circulation and noticeable skin cell renewal. While protein is extremely important, your body also demands carbohydrates and fats, both of which you can find in oatmeal. Oats are also rich in antioxidants that help alleviate itching, inflammation, and high blood pressure. The slow carbohydrates found in oatmeal help curb your appetite and maintain normal blood sugar levels. All those nutrients in oats not only boost your metabolism but also prevent the accumulation of fat and toxins in the body. Thanks to the antioxidants present in oatmeal, the probability of damage to the walls of blood vessels by free radicals is reduced significantly. If you find it boring to just have oatmeal for breakfast every day, you’ll love the recipes we have put together to help you turn a boring oatmeal breakfast into something way more flavorful. Foods that lower cholesterol fast - Eat These 4 Foods Every Day To Lower Your Cholesterol Eat These 4 Foods Every Day To Lower Your Cholesterol What is cholesterol and what is its significance in your life? The fats in your blood have waxy substance in it known as cholesterol. Unfortunately, you can inherit high cholesterol. You can prevent it from getting worse, though, by working out or refraining from smoking. Eating a balanced diet is the best way to keep your cholesterol levels in check. Read on to find out what foods to eat to ensure your cholesterol levels stay within normal range. 1. Whole grains Examples of grain products are any food made from corn, oats, rice, wheat, or another cereal or grain. You can keep your cholesterol levels low by consuming a diet rich in brown rice, oatmeal, quinoa, rye, wild rice, and whole wheat. Whole grains are an excellent source of important vitaminssuch as folate, niacin, thiamin, and vitamin B2. Your blood will no longer be depleted of oxygen as whole grain increases iron levels. It is crucial that your iron levels are high since your body already struggles in transporting oxygen-rich blood because of your narrowed blood vessels. Hence, eating foods rich in viscous fiber like barley and oats can make all the difference. Why? They lower down LDL cholesterol levels (a.k.a. bad cholesterol) and the blood pressure aside from improving insulin response and glucose levels. You can also benefit from the prebiotic effect you can get from grains rich in insoluble fiber such aswheat because it normalizes blood pressure and glucose levels. You should never skip breakfast if you want your cholesterol levels to remain in normal range. Doing so likewise lowers down your caloric requirement for the entire day. Studies support this notion as your cholesterol levels can drop by4.6 points if you consume a lot of whole grains and a further 6.5 point reduction if you eat a lot of oats. The Apple-Cinnamon Granola is a great recipe for starters. Protect your heart and still be able to enjoy a tasty treat. It is better to make your own granola at home rather than purchase commercially sold ones to ensure it is low in sugar and thus healthy for your heart. 2. Apples The doctors were never wrong in promoting daily apple intake as it was also found that it is also helpful in keeping bad cholesterol at bay. It makes for a sweet snack as it contains antioxidants and pectin that reduces inflammation and reduce LDL cholesterol levels. These two conditions predispose you to premature aging and a long list of chronic and debilitating ailments. Aside from antioxidants, apples are also a good source of vitamins A and C that are helpful against deadly free radicals. FYI, free radicals are molecular by-products of digestion. Apple is also a good source of soluble fiber that helps in reducing blood sugar levels along with that of cholesterol.I 3. Garlic Not exactly the most pleasant scent you want to smell, garlic works wonder in fighting oxidation and reducing inflammation.Naturally rich in antioxidants, garlic fights oxidation thereby preventing the cells from getting damaged. It is also effective in stabilizing cholesterol and triglyceride levels, common complaints among the elderly. Mixingabout 20 grams of crushed garlic in lemon juice to prevent hyperlipidemia and maintain normal blood pressure, lipid, and fibrinogen levels in a group of people between the ages of 30-60 as shown in one study. 4. Dark chocolate This is perhaps the most exciting and sweetest solution to reducing high cholesterol levels. Chocolate is made of cocoa. There are certain chemicals in cocoa that protect the cells from pathogens. There was an 11% reduction of the LDL cholesterol levels among patients who participated in a study published in the Journal of Cardiovascular Pharmacology. This result has been observed 15 days after they started taking 100 grams of dark chocolate daily. Take Everything in Moderation Your diet plays a huge role in maintaining normal cholesterol levels. Eating everything in moderation and preferring a diet high in healthy fruits and veggies and staying well hydrated is sometimes all you need. For better results, eat more whole grains, apple, garlic, and dark chocolate and you’ll soon start seeing positive results in your health. foods that lower cholesterol fast how to lower cholesterol cholesterol cholesterol diet how to reduce cholesterol lower cholesterol low cholesterol diet foods that lower cholesterol high cholesterol cholesterol levels how to lower your cholesterol how to lower cholesterol naturally how to control cholesterol high cholesterol foods high cholesterol diet ldl cholesterol reduce cholesterol how to reduce cholesterol naturally lower cholesterol naturally ways to lower cholesterol low cholesterol recipes how to lower cholesterol fast how to lower ldl how to reduce ldl cholesterol

Maybe your doctor's telling you that you're doing something terribly wrong. Maybe he's telling you you need to get off that ketogenic diet because your cholesterol levels are high. Maybe you're just scared. Maybe you're just concerned as to why they're higher, or maybe you're trying to be proactive and trying to understand why they might get higher. In this video, I'm going to help you understand that higher levels of cholesterol on a ketogenic diet could very well mean a very, very good and rather cool thing. You see, we have to remember that we're on a ketogenic diet. Everything is surrounding fats. We're eating a lot of fats, we're metabolizing fats, we're going to have more lipids and we're going to have more cholesterols in the bloodstream, plain and simple. We have to remember that. What's interesting is that higher levels of cholesterol on a ketogenic diet are being linked and associated with weight loss. Believe it or not, once weight loss starts and fatty acid metabolism really kicks in, we see an increase in cholesterol. So it usually means that you're having an influx of weight loss occurring at that very point in time. You see, as fat starts to break down, cholesterol goes up, and it has to do with the fact that triglycerides are mobilized and they end up getting broken down into fuel but the cholesterol just kind of hangs out. The cholesterol doesn't really get burned for fuel. It's not metabolized like that. It's not energy. So what it does, it ends up sitting in the bloodstream, waiting to get recycled by the liver. It's not doing anything good or doing anything bad. It's just elevated and it's usually indicative of the fact that your body is using a little bit more fat for fuel at that very point in time. So you will find it's a temporary increase and once the weight loss starts to plateau a little bit and starts to slow down, your cholesterol levels will probably start to come down. You've probably seen an increase in both your HDL and your LDL, and it just has to do with the fact that both of them are mobilized. On that note, we have to understand HDL and LDL and the relationship with ketosis, and once you understand this, everything's going to make a lot more sense and I can almost guarantee you're going to come out of this video overall feeling a lot less stressed out about this situation. First off, HDL and LDL, they're not even cholesterols. They're transport vehicles. They deliver cholesterols. So you've got high density lipoprotein and low density lipoprotein. Low density lipoprotein, the "bad cholesterol" delivers nutrients. It delivers cholesterol, delivers fat and fat-soluble nutrients to the cell. Very important, but for some reason it gets a bad rap. Then we have HDL. HDL's job is to go around and pick up waste particles or used LDL, particles of LDL, and take them back to the liver for recycling. So somewhere along the lines, messages got going to confused. For some reason we think that LDL is bad because it's delivering fat, even though it's totally important. For some reason we think that purely recycling that fat is the only good thing that should be occurring. Flax seeds also contain both insoluble and soluble fiber. Soluble fiber aids in lowering cholesterol, by preventing the absorption of cholesterol within the body You will be able to purchase flax seeds either whole or ground. Ground flax seeds need to be kept in an airtight and opaque container for up to 30 days, to prevent their omega-3 fats from oxidising.Whole flax seeds need to be ground in a coffee grinder at home, to make their alpha-linolenic acid available

It sounds logical that adding fat to the body will increase more fat in the arteries and on the body, however, that’s not how it works. Hormones turn calories into different things. The main hormone insulin is responsible for changing carbs into clogged arteries and fat on your body. If you keep insulin low by keeping carbs low - the dietary fat will not clog the arteries nor will it end up making you fat. Insulin is very inflammatory and can also start the progressive inflammatory process of your arteries. Hey guys, dr. berg here and in this video we are going to talk about will doing a high fat ketogenic diet clog your arteries. Just from the pure observation of eating more fat and a fatty clogged artery, it sounds logical that if you were to eat fat you are going to get a clogged artery. It sounds logical that you would eat more fat and then get more fat in your body but it is not how it works in the body because in the body there is a various hormones that tell certain types of calories what to convert into and the hormone that tells the body whether to clog or clean out the artery really is called insulin. Insulin is like the switch that converts fat into the body storage and also clogs arteries. Insulin is a very inflammatory hormone if you have too much of it you could get a lot of inflammation which can set you up for a whole series of events from the body starts healing the inflammation in the arteries with a combination of the cholesterols, calcium and fibrous kind of a connective tissue to form a little bit of a clot. What started that would be the high levels of insulin, not necessarily consuming cholesterol. Cholesterol is made by almost every single cell in the body. Your body makes about 3,000mg of cholesterol every single day. 3,000mg of cholesterol is equal to 300 strips of bacon, about a pound of butter or 14 eggs. Your body makes a lot of cholesterol. When you consume more fat, your body just makes less. That’s how it works. What really creates this clogged arteries is high levels of insulin by consuming too many carbohydrates. If you were to cut your carbohydrates down, like the breads, pasta, cereal, crackers, things like that, and sugar. If you would cut that down, you would notice your cholesterol would go way down. Also your triglycerides and your bad cholesterol will go way down. If you were to increase the sugar and the insulin, your cholesterol goes up and you should even experiment yourself to see if this is true for you. But what I want to give you is I have a little mini course that is very quick and you can probably get it done in maybe 20 minutes on ketosis to give you the basics. I show you how it works, what to eat, the tweaks that I am going to recommend and the side effects. DR. Can you take Red Yeast Rice Extract to lower cholesterol while you have Candida, a subscriber wants to know. Here's my take on it... Hi there, Eric Bakker, naturopath from New Zealand. I've got an interesting question here from a subscriber. "Is red yeast rice extract okay to lower cholesterol on Candida Diet?" Well why would you want to lower cholesterol? I'm not sure if I've done any videos on cholesterol management but this whole cholesterol management, lower management thing is a huge myth. Most people have got no idea or understanding of cholesterol and its effects on the body. We're told that LDL or the bad cholesterol damages our health, and we're told that the high density lipoprotein, or the HDL is actually beneficial for health. But they're only giving you a very tiny little piece of the information. Heart disease occurs by way of inflammation and inflammatory mechanisms go far beyond just HDL and LDL ratios. So red yeast rice extract is basically a kind of a fungus, it's a yeast called monascus, and this basically is grown on rice. It's quite popular and has been used, I think like 300 before Christ they discovered this. So it's actually a type of a statin drug. So back in the '70s the Americans, I think Lovastatin came from a fungus called aspergillus. So aspergillus is a particular type of fungus that can also affect our bodies really bad if it grows in the lungs. But they isolated this particular drug, which they call now a drug, a statin drug, called Lovastatin back in the '70s, and what they found out that Lovastatin is very similar to the monostatin or the one from the monascus yeast. Did you get all that? I hope you did. So yeast, fungus can actually be quite beneficial for the body too because as you can see fungus have different effects on the body. In this case the monascus can block the effects of HMG-CoA reductase which is an enzyme which helps to produce the LDL. But you don't really need to lower LDL, it's a pretty dumb thing to do. You need to get your bowel functioning better. So by improving the bowel motions, you're going to have a much better ability for the body to bind to cholesterol in the gut and excrete it. You don't need to lower it through taking drugs, it's a stupid thing to do. So there are many, many different videos you can watch now on the internet about the cholesterol myth, or what we call the Big Fat Lie. It's a load of crap that you need to lower cholesterol in order to prolong life. You need to keep cholesterol balanced and in good amounts when you get older, 'cause cholesterol is a formation for four major hormonal pathways in the body, including production of testosterone, progesterone, estrogen, cortisol, [inaudible 00:02:39]. All these hormones rely on a good supply of cholesterol. So if you're mess around with cholesterol, you could also potentially mess around with hormones. There's a book called "The Thief of Memory," written by a lady who's husband was an astronaut, whose brain basically went coo coo on him after taking these statin drugs. Statin drugs make billions of dollars a year for companies and this Big Fat Lie one day will come out. Hopefully this video is up long enough for people to say, "See that guy was right. These drugs are a joke." So if you're worried about heart disease, keep your blood pressure down, your weight down, and keep your bowel function working. One of my teachers used to say, "People need to keep their mouths shut and their bowels open 'cause it's going to prolong their lives." Hope you got something out of this video.

Drinks to Lower Cholesterol. High levels of bad cholesterol and total cholesterol increase your risk of heart disease and stroke. Total cholesterol takes into account levels of both low-density lipoprotein, or bad cholesterol, and high-density lipoprotein, or good cholesterol. According to the Mayo Clinic, your diet plays a critical role in reducing cholesterol levels. Adding particular beverages to your diet may be beneficial. Green Tea Green tea contains the highest levels of antioxidants known as polyphenols. According to the University of Maryland Medical Center, several studies show that this beverage can lower LDL cholesterol and total cholesterol levels. It also boosts levels of HDL cholesterol, which sweeps bad cholesterol from your arteries. Researchers believe that green tea’s polyphenols inhibit absorption of cholesterol in the intestines and enhance its excretion from your body. Berry Juice Berries help reduce blood cholesterol levels, but some are more effective than others. In a study conducted by the University of California at Davis, researchers found that fresh berries significantly decreased LDL cholesterol. Blackberries were the most effective, followed by red raspberries, blueberries and strawberries. More research is needed to determine the amount of berries or juice people should consume to lower cholesterol. However, drinking more berry juice on a regular basis may be beneficial. Tart Cherry Juice Tart cherries are loaded with antioxidants that provide several benefits, including reducing cholesterol levels. In a study conducted at the University of Michigan Cardiovascular Center, rats that received whole tart cherry powder as part of a high-fat diet had significantly lower levels of cholesterol than other rats. Cherry juice is readily available at supermarkets and natural health stores. However, you can also make your own at home using dried cherries or cherry powder. Ginger Tea Ginger has been used medicinally for centuries to treat health problems such as nausea and diarrhea. Preliminary studies also indicate that it may also help lower cholesterol and prevent atherosclerosis, according to the University of Maryland Medical Center, which recommends not consuming more than 4g of ginger daily. Caution While green tea and ginger tea are generally safe, in some cases they may cause side effects. For instance, drinking too much green tea may cause insomnia, dizziness or irritability. Ginger tea may cause heartburn or stomach upset. Also, these drinks can interact with certain medications. Consult your doctor about consuming these drinks to control your cholesterol levels.

I've always had high cholesterol, and it went even higher when I started doing keto. Turns out that this is a pretty regular occurrence for lean and/or athletic people on a low-carb diet (aka Lean Mass Hyper-Responders). This week, I'm doing another keto vlog, in which I attempt to lower my cholesterol numbers by using Dave Feldman's "Feldman Protocol". The premise is this: The more fat that's eaten in the three days prior to a blood draw, the lower one's cholesterol numbers will be. So in this vlog, I keep things keto, but ate as many calories as possible. before a blood draw, eat keto, but eat as may calories as possible. Check it out more about this protocol (along with Dave Feldman's other fascinating n=1 research) at https://www.cholesterolcode.com. See how my parents lowered their cholesterol by 30 pts in 30 days - no diets or drugs: ►►►http://drsam.co/yt/LowerYourCholesterolIn30Days =============================== If You Want To Lower Your Cholesterol, DON’T Do This… =============================== Having healthy cholesterol levels is important for avoiding heart disease, a heart attack or stroke. Unfortunately, most people try to lower their cholesterol levels doing the WRONG things. This is why they don’t get the desired results or aren’t able to maintain them long-term. Most people are either taking harmful prescription drugs or they change their diet by eliminating the WRONG foods from the diet, such as healthy fats and cholesterol Cholesterol Is Good, Not Bad For You The problem here is that cholesterol has many HEALTH benefits. It’s your friend, NOT your “enemy” Cholesterol is needed to make your “youthful steroid” hormones - such as testosterone, estrogen, anti-inflammatory cortisone and a dozen more. This is why aging and the change in your hormones causes an increase in cholesterol. In fact, there’s more information about this important topic under this video... Additionally, cholesterol is also needed to help absorb your fat-soluble vitamins - D, E, K, A, etc. Simply stated - cholesterol is a vital component of every cell membrane on Earth. In other words, there is no life on Earth that can live without cholesterol! In fact, having “low” cholesterol increases your risk of dying early. Low cholesterol causes depression, inflammation, low libido, wrinkles and other age related problems. The other thing most people don’t know is that over 80% of your cholesterol, is made inside your body by your liver… And NOT from the foods you eat. Your Cholesterol Do’s & Don’ts So the point of today’s message is that you DON’T want to eliminate cholesterol and healthy fats because otherwise, your body will be FORCED to produce it internally. Remember, your body needs cholesterol to survive. So with that in mind, here’s what you want to do: Eat Some Cholesterol The best are from free-range eggs. AVOID all the “omega-3” eggs because they’re fed poor quality foods. Have the entire egg, including the yolks. It’s best to eat them raw. But if you don’t want to do that, lightly cooked with the yolk still runny is ideal. About 1-2 eggs daily is a good amount for most people. I actually have 4-6 daily. Have Healthy Fats Raw nuts, not roasted. Almonds and walnuts are best. Organic avocados Extra virgin, organic coconut oil Macadamia nut oil (better than olive oil) Seeds - flax, chia, etc. Stay away from the supermarket oils, vegetable oils, margarine, etc. because they’re highly processed and oxidized. There’s one additional benefit from having healthy fats, including the fats from egg yolks -- you’ll have lower blood sugar levels. High blood sugar increases cholesterol levels and also increases body fat, especially the ugly belly fat. So enjoy your healthy fats and egg yolks. It’s good for you and your cholesterol levels.
