We are the largest supplier of ESL jobs and take pride in our full support program. We believe that buy creating lesson plans and ensuring that our teachers get all the support they need we can assist them in making the most of their class. NETWORK ESL has been established in China for 13 years now and was formed with one main goal in mind: to offer teachers already in China and those that are thinking of teaching in China a comprehensive and complete service so as to ensure that the benefits and provisions outlined in teaching contracts are actually provided to the teacher whilst at the same time offer a comprehensive support network throughout our teachers' entire stay. By providing this, it was envisaged that we would achieve two things: 1. An improvement in the quality and effectiveness of oral English teaching in China, thereby accelerating the learning and English-speaking ability of students at our client schools. 2. An assurance that teachers, after being offered a support system in China ranging from lesson planning, travel assistance, and advice to guidance with everyday living, would thoroughly enjoy the experience and, thus, have fond memories of their Chinese friends and China in general. We are proud to state that we believe we have met these objectives. We remain committed to our present and future teachers and to improving the extent and quality of the services offered by The Network to ensure that all who come across The Network will have an enjoyable and rewarding experience in China.

Li'l Larikkins - Preparing for an Emergency
Students explore the importance of having a box or bag prepared with items of significant or emotional value in the case of a bushfire threat. This box doesn’t need to contain emergency items (like the emergency kit) but rather items such as photos, important documents or anything of significant personal value that wouldn’t be safe in the home. This lesson is an opportunity to discuss the home bush fire survival plan and the importance of leaving early. Schoolchildren Learn about Fire Safety through Lion Mascot
Youngsters in Leicester were educated on fire safety yesterday with the help of furry mascot Lester Lion. Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service visited Sparkenhoe Primary School to teach the pupils about the importance of fire safety, and how to spot fire risks in the home. This is part of a revamp in primary school educational resources across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland, after the Fire Service received funding from the Electrical Safety Council. The Service hopes that the combination of fun with education will lead to memorable workshops that could potentially save lives. Helen Sutcliffe, the education manager with the Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service commented that "We believe that by catching the children young, then it's a whole generation educated". As well as the sessions with Lester Lion, the children had the chance to become Junior Fire Safety Inspectors -- they were encouraged to discuss fire safety with their families, using a checklist they took home. By bringing the completed checklist back to school their names will be entered into a draw to win a Kindle Fire. The children behaved impeccably and really enjoyed the day's activities, and Assistant Head teacher Dan Cheetham said "They've learnt a lot from it".

"Smoldering Fire" Sparks Nuclear Emergency Fears in St Louis MO (Rense)
AP: Catastrophic event could release radioactive fallout over major U.S. metropolitan area — Gov’t issues emergency plan as fire burns near nuclear site — Report: “World is on brink of nuclear disaster” — Senator: “What we have… could end up as Chernobyl” http://tinyurl.com/p5ytu87 Daily Star, Oct 8, 2015: Nuclear disaster fears as fire nears Cold War bomb dump; The world is on the brink of a nuclear disaster as fire rages towards a cache of Cold War nukes — A secret emergency plan has been drawn up as an underground blaze creeps towards a waste dump containing radioactive waste from the Manhattan Project. The leaked document warns a “catastrophic event” will be triggered if the nuclear material is ignited… radioactive smoke could erupt over the densely-populated area of St Louis. http://tinyurl.com/q8soalk Radiation Report Update Overlay Weather Wind Rad Counts 10/14/15 https://youtu.be/5o4H2YW_b14 Beneath the surface of a St. Louis-area landfill lurk two things that should never meet: a slow-burning fire and a cache of Cold War-era nuclear waste, separated by just 300 meters… Authorities have quietly adopted an emergency plan in case the smoldering embers ever reach the waste, a potentially ‘catastrophic event‘ that could release radioactive fallout in a plume of smoke over a densely populated area of suburban St. Louis… [T]he plan for a worst-case scenario was developed only a year ago and never publicized until this week… If the underground fire reaches the waste, “there is a potential for radioactive fallout to be released in the smoke plume and spread throughout the region,” according to the disaster plan. The plan calls for evacuations… in St. Louis County… and perhaps the federal government, would be called upon to help… Missouri Attorney General, Sep 3, 2015: BREAKING NEWS – Attorney General Chris Koster released today new reports from expert witnesses [that] paint a troubling picture of the environment surrounding the landfill site… Drs. Joel Burken and Shoaib Usman… at Missouri Univ. of Science and Technology, detected radiological… contamination in trees on the property of neighboring landowners… these findings “indicate the off-site migration of RIM [radiologically impacted material], either in groundwater or aerial transport of particulate matter”… Drs. The One Thought That Gets Me Through Every Christmas My Firefighter Works
Whether you are a new or seasoned fire wife, nor how prepared you are with fun plans for the day, those thoughts still surface on the Christmas holidays when your firefighter heads to the station and you are left to celebrate with "the rest of the world" alone on that day. There is one thought that gives me perspective and gets me through every time.

Gilded Age Politics:Crash Course US History #26

Also, if you can afford to pay a little every month, it really helps keep the channel producing great content. In which John Green teaches you about the Gilded Age and its politics. What, you may ask, is the Gilded Age? The term comes from a book by Mark Twain and Charles Dudley Warner titled, "The Gilded Age." You may see a pattern emerging here. It started in the 1870s and continued on until the turn of the 20th century. The era is called Gilded because of the massive inequality that existed in the United States. Gilded Age politics were marked by a number of phenomenons, most of them having to do with corruption. On the local and state level, political machines wielded enormous power. John gets into details about the most famous political machine, Tammany Hall. Tammany Hall ran New York City for a long, long time, notably under Boss Tweed. Graft, kickbacks, and voter fraud were rampant, but not just at the local level. Ulysses S. Grant ran one of the most scandalous presidential administrations in U.S. history, and John will tell you about two of the best known scandals, the Credit Mobilier scandal and the Whiskey Ring. There were a few attempts at reform during this time, notably the Civil Service Act of 1883 and the Sherman Anti-trust act of 1890. John will also get into the Grange Movement of the western farmers, and the Populist Party that arose from that movement. The Populists, who threw in their lot with William Jennings Bryan, never managed to get it together and win a presidency, and they faded after 1896. Which brings us to the Progressive Era, which we'll get into next week! Hey teachers and students - Check out CommonLit's free collection of reading passages and curriculum resources to learn more about the events of this episode. The Gilded Age was marked by the success of the richest coupled with inequality and corruption. Repeated factory disasters, such as the triangle shirtwaist factory fire revealed the unsafe working conditions of the urban poor: https://www.commonlit.org/texts/the-triangle-shirtwaist-factory-fire Meanwhile, workers began to join unions and strike for better working conditions: https://www.commonlit.org/texts/the-coeur-d-alene-miners-uprising Like us: facebook.com/youtubecrashcourse Follow Us! @TheCrashCourse @realjohngreen @crashcoursestan @raoulmeyer @thoughtbubbler @br8dybrunch
