Hey guys, her is an easy crockpot Pulled Pork recipe that I worked into this week's meal plan. This recipe came from pinterest (link below) and worked out perfectly with hardly any changes needed. RECIPE: PALEO PULLED PORK -- NATURALLY FIT, GLUTEN FREE, PALEO APPROVED From: http://www.thestudiokitchen.com/ Free Home Meal Delivery | Call 512-244-6496 INTRODUCTION "This mouth watering recipe delivers true Texas BBQ flavor." Chuck Wright (General Manager, The Studio Kitchen.) INGREDIENTS: 1 Pork Shoulder Butt (8-10#) 1 ½ Tablespoons (or to taste) Pops Cookin' Gluten Free Seasoning™ Available at: http://www.popscookin.com/ DIRECTIONS: Place the opened Pork Butt in a foil pan. (Hint -- Don't remove any fat from the meat at this stage!) Lightly cover with Pops Cookin' Gluten Free Seasoning™ (Hint -- As the bottle says, " A little goes a long way!") Cover meat with plastic wrap or foil and keep refrigerated while preparing the smoker. (Hint -- while it is not necessary, allowing the meat to "marinate" overnight will certainly enhance the flavor!) Using the firewood of your choice, get your smoker up to between 250° and 300°. Once the temperature of your smoker has been maintained for 10-15 minutes, you are ready to put the meat on the smoker. Place the meat (fat side up) at the farthest position from the actual fire. This allows for the meat to slow smoke rather than cook too quickly. You will smoke the meat for 1 hour per pound. (Example: If your Pork Butt weighs 9 pounds, you will smoke it for a total of 9 hours at 250° to 300°.) Until you reach the half-way point of your cooking time, you will only need to manage the temperature of your smoker. (Hint -- Do Not Open The Smoker To Look At The Meat -- this is the temptation of many, but will only make it more difficult to manage the temperature of your smoker, and does nothing for the meat!) At the half-way point of your cooking time, using heat resistant gloves, transfer the meat to a foil pan and cover with foil. Using a calibrated meat thermometer, check the internal temperature of the meat. It should be between 140° and 150°. Immediately place the pan of meat back onto the smoker in the same location as before. (Hint -- Make sure the smoker is closed while you are placing the meat in the pan. This will help maintain your cooking temperature!) At the end of your cooking time, take the meat off of the smoker and allow it to rest (while covered) for about 40-60 minutes. (Hint -- This allows the meat to "absorb" much of the juices that have been captured in the foil pan. It also allows the meat to get to a more workable temperature for the "pulling" process.) After the resting period, using the heat resistant gloves, remove the meat from its pan (DON'T DISCARD THE JUICES!!!!) and place it on a cutting board (or into another pan). Remove the layer of fat off the top of the Pork Butt. This should basically just "peel" off. If your Pork Butt is bone-in then the bone will easily slide out of the meat. Once the top layer of fat and the bone have been removed, simply begin "shredding" or "pulling" the pork apart into slightly larger than bite size pieces and place in a new foil pan (or serving dish of your choice). Take the juices from the original pan and pour over the pulled pork. Blend it well, serve, and enjoy!!!! This delicious entrée can be ordered from http://www.thestudiokitchen.com/ (Click the Naturally Fit Link) Video produced by http://www.threeminutevideos.com/ Emily Talley's makeup Provided by Rae Cosmetics http://www.raecosmetics.com/ Check out other Naturally Fit TV episodes at http://360.naturallyfit.com/ For more information on Naturally Fit Modeling Agency go to: http://www.naturallyfitagency.com

In Memphis, bbq is cooked low and slow and without a bunch of sauce. Here's the way I make my pulled pork in the oven when I can't do it on a real smoker. Dry Rub BBQ Pork shoulder Uncategorized Ingredients 1 pork shoulder (also known as a Boston Butt or Picnic Shoulder) Dry Rub: 2 tbs salt 2 tbs paprika 1 tbs garlic powder 1 tbs onion powder .5 tbs chili powder dash of cayenne powder 1 tbs ground black pepper A few dashes of apple cider vinegar Directions This will cook faster if you take the meat out of the fridge a little bit before you are ready to cook. 1. Rinse and dry pork shoulder. 2. Preheat oven to 250°F 3. Trim off all excess fat 4. Put on a roasting rack in a roasting pan 5. Combine all ingredients for dry rub, adding just enough vinegar to turn it into a very thick paste (this is just so that you don't end up with dry rub powder everywhere 6. Rub down whole roast with the paste 7. Put on lower rack of oven and roast at 250 until internal temperature is 190°F. Start checking the temperature after 4 hours, but depending on how big your roast is, it could take up to 6 hours. 8. When the meat is done, take it out of the oven and let rest a little bit till it is cook enough to handle some. About 15-20 minutes. 9. Using two forks, pull apart the meat and serve or store. Tips: If you have an oven with a temperature probe, this is an -excellent- time to use it. Make sure your probe and/or thermometer are not touching the bone. If you want to be totally sure that the meat doesn't get dry, you can add humidity to the oven by putting a little bit of water into the bottom of the roasting pan before you put it in the oven.

VEGAN PULLED PORK SANDWICHES Servings: 6 INGREDIENTS 2 tablespoons olive oil 1 medium onion, sliced 3 cloves garlic, minced 3 cups jackfruit, either fresh or canned 2 teaspoons salt 1 teaspoon pepper 1 teaspoon cumin 1 teaspoon chili powder 1 teaspoon paprika ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper 1 teaspoon vegan Worcestershire 1 teaspoon liquid smoke 2 cups vegetable stock ½ cup vegan barbecue sauce FOR SERVING 6 vegan buns Vegan coleslaw PREPARATION Preheat your oven to 350ºF/180ºC. I had a few requests for recipes I mention in grocery hauls so here is my Slow Cooker Root Beer BBQ Pulled Pork recipe. Talk about easy! I'll do my best to film/blog recipes every week! Enjoy! ~Danielle RECIPE LINK (a printable version is available here): http://www.cozycakescottage.com/2015/05/27/slow-cooker-root-beer-pulled-pork/ Recipe: Ingredients: 3 to 4 lb. pork roast freshly ground black pepper 1 can root beer (12 oz.) 1 jar/18 oz of BBQ sauce or 2 to 2.5 cups homemade BBQ sauce (I use Sweet Baby Ray's) Buns for serving Directions: Lightly spray/grease your slow cooker pot. Trim the roast of a bit of excess fat (not all of it!). Place the roast in the pot and pepper it, pressing the pepper into the roast. In a bowl, mix the root beer and about 1/3 cup of BBQ sauce. Pour over and around the roast. Cover and cook on low for 6 hours (slow cookers vary so check your roast in 6-8 hour on low range). Drain liquid from slow cooker and shred the roast right in the slow cooker if you like. I like to keep a few tablespoons of the liquid in with the meat. Mix in the remaining bbq sauce and let heat/cook for another 15 to 30 minutes. Add/serve with extra BBQ sauce if you desire. My number one Whole30 tip is to batch cook, aka make a ton of food and repurpose it into multiple meals throughout the week. My second tip is to get a crockpot. This recipe takes care of both. Click "SHOW MORE" ↓ In case you haven’t noticed, I don’t measure spices (nobody got time for that). Also the prep time for this recipe is 30 seconds. Ingredients: 1 onion, chopped Garlic powder Cumin Dried basil Salt White pepper Black pepper Cayenne pepper 2-3 lbs. boneless pork shoulder roast Instructions: 1. Add onions to crockpot 2. Add spices to onions 3. Add pork shoulder to crockpot 4. Add another layer of spices on top 5. Cover, cook on low for 8 hours 6. Take meat out of crockpot and shred with a fork 7. Enjoy! I made this on a Thursday and used it with three different meals that week. Meal 1: Lettuce, red onion, cherry tomatoes, Tessemae’s zesty ranch salad dressing (Whole30 approved - http://bit.ly/1RL4Bmi), pulled pork on top Meal 2: Chopped red potato, green onions, and pulled pork cooked in skillet with coconut oil Meal 3: Shredded potatoes, cherry tomatoes, chopped zucchini, and pulled pork cooked in skillet with coconut oil. Carolina Style Pulled Pork Sandwiches | Carolina Barbecue on Big Green Egg For more barbecue and grilling recipes visit: http://howtobbqright.com/ For Carolina Style Pulled Pork, first you need to source a Pork Butt from your local grocery store or warehouse club. Look for one in the 8-10lbs range preferably bone-in. Remove the pork butt from the cryovac packaging and rinse under cool water. Pat the outside dry with paper towels and place in a large platter or pan. For Carolina style barbecue coat the outside everywhere with a good layer of Kosher salt (you’ll about ½ cup at least) and let the pork butt hang out until you fire up the smoker. Set your smoker to run in the 250 degree range for 8-10 hours. For fuel I start with a good base of charcoal and I use chunks of Hickory wood for the smoke. I add the Hickory to the coal as needed for the first 5 hours. Once your pit has stabilized in the 250 range, add 2 chunks of the wood and place the pork butt Fat Side Up on the cooking grate. Close the lid and kick back for a while because good bbq takes time. The fat will render down over the top of the butt as it cooks but in Carolina the pitmasters also use a Vinegar based sauce for extra moisture. It’s the combination of Hickory smoke, salt, and this vinegar moppin’ sauce on the pork that really makes Carolina Style Barbecue. Here’s my recipe for the vinegar sauce: Carolina Vinegar Sauce - 1 quart Apple Cider Vinegar - 2 Tablespoons Kosher Salt - 2 Tablespoons Crushed Red Pepper flakes - 1 Tablespoon Black Pepper Ground Mix the ingredients together in a large bowl and let the sauce rest for at least 2 hours. Overnight is recommended. Once the pork butt has smoked for 2 hours take a peak and see how the outside is looking. If it looks a little dry go ahead and mop or drizzle the top of the butt with the vinegar sauce. Repeat this process every couple of hours until the pork butt hits 200 degrees internal. It will take in the neighborhood of 8-10 hours for the pork butt to fully cook but don’t rush it. Once you can stick a meat thermometer in the thickest part of the butt away from the bone and it feel really soft, it’s done. You should see temps around 198-200 degrees on the dial. Remove the pork butt from the smoker and place on a platter. Don’t plan on tearing it apart right at this moment. Large cuts of meat need to rest for a few minutes, so cover the platter in aluminum foil and let it hang out on the table for 20-30 minutes. It won’t hurt to place it in a dry cooler with a couple old towels for up to 2-3 hours. After the pork butt has rested, remove the blade bone and shred the meat by hand for a pulled texture or you can also chop it to a finer consistency like they do in Carolina joints. I prefer it pulled with bits of the crunchy bark mixed throughout. Last but not least finish off the pile of pork deliciousness with a good dose of the Vinegar Sauce. The acidity balances out the flavor of the pork and the peppers add just enough heat to let you know it’s there. Toss the pork a little by hand and get ready to eat. The only thing you need is a bun and some coleslaw. It seems intimidating but should it be? No! Now, the cut of meat that you're going to need to make a pulled pork sandwich is something called a shoulder. Now, what you want to do is think about how many people you're going to serve. If you're going to serve a lot of people you might consider a whole shoulder. It's going to be an 18, 20, or 22 pound piece of meat. So it's going to feed several dozen people. If you're looking for a smaller and more intimate occasion you probably want to look at one of the cuts from the shoulder. This could be either the picnic cut or the pork butt cut. Now, the pork butt is probably the most common and readily available piece of meat to make a pulled pork sandwich. It's what we recommend for folks who are doing it in their back yard. A pork butt is also a very, very affordable cut of meat that's going to cook for a dozen, or maybe 15 or 20 people. It comes in weights between eight and 12 pounds, most often. Now, to prepare the pulled pork sandwich you want to rub the pork butt with your favorite all-purpose rub the night before smoking. We like to let ours rest for six, eight, or maybe ten hours and then wake up in the morning, get our fire started, and put that pork butt on to the smoker. Now, it is going to be a time intensive process. A ten pound pork butt is probably going to take you eight to ten hours to smoke over a low and slow fire between 225 and 250 degrees. It does take some time but the end result is going to be a succulent, juicy piece of meat that is going to produce amazing pulled pork sandwiches. So if you're looking for a really great meal at an affordable price for a large group of people why not give the pork butt a try and make some pulled pork sandwiches at your house next time you're barbecuing?

The Adventure Van served as a backdrop for some awesome Pressure Cooker Pulled Pork BBQ. Pressure Cooker BBQ is amazingly easy to make and absolutely delicious. Watch just how quick and easy this pressure cooker meal is. If you don't own a pressure cooker you just don't know what you are missing. I won our Cuisinart Electric Pressure Cooker in a contest from another Youtuber named Jaxx Drinkwater. Here is the Amazon link to the Cuisinart Pressure Cooker, http://amzn.to/2wLRUQ6 Ever since, we have been experimenting with pressure cooker recipes and it has changed our life literally. We love it. I woke up on this morning with an appetite for BBQ. I knew the Adventure Wifey would love to come home to some homemade BBQ so i turned it into a backyard adventure with the Adventure Van. You can get pressure cooker ideas all over the internet so finding a pressure cooker pulled pork recipe isn't very hard. I enjoy instant pot BBQ and I made my own rub and used about 4 lbs. of pork loin in the recipe. Just pause the video and you can see the ingredients in the pork rub I have listed on the video and also the mixture I used when I put the pork under pressure. Please visit Jaxx Drinkwater's Youtube Channel, https://www.youtube.com/user/JaxxdrinkH20 Let the pork loin marinate for an hour or so after you apply the seasoned rub mixture. You can use any kind of pork slab you want. I just happened to choose the pork loin. I trimmed off all the fat before cooking. These airtight pots they call pressure cookers are an amazing invention. It cooks your concoctions so fast. I cooked this pork for 99 minutes. I don't really think you have to cook it quite that long. On my next pressure cooker BBQ, I will most likely only pressure cook the pork for around 1 hour and 15 minutes or so, 75 minutes instead of 99 minutes. This pressure cooker pork recipe will easily give 2 people 2 nights of delicious BBQ meals. You don't have to use my BBQ technique exactly to make this recipe. Experiment some and be adventurous. I don't think you can cook it wrong. Here on The Adventure Outdoors Channel, I make videos about a lot of different things and I have categorized them into playlists.
