Dispelling the lies! The truth about Teamsters 89 UPS Air Rider Negotiations - Part 1

02:34
Don't believe the mountain of lies being told by Tony Blair and his "Hourly Workers"! Vote for the Zuckerman / Bolton: Local 89 Teamsters United delegates slate! Business Agent UPS/IBT Full-Time Employee Execution Copy - https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B881LBMynkMNSGdTR2V5dGlZdG8/view?usp=sharing Highlights - The highlighted text on page 1 shows that the UPS/IBT Full-Time Employee Pension plan was amended on January 1, 2008 to include Full-Time UPS employees who had become Business Agents. This applies to EVERY LOCAL IN THE TEAMSTERS, NOT JUST LOCAL 89! On page 17, the highlighted text shows that this agreement, which allows UPS Full Time Employees who became Business Agents PRIOR TO JANUARY 1, 2008 was negotiated and signed off on by KEN HALL! Fred Zuckerman had absolutely nothing to do with the negotiations of this agreement, and it was signed off on SIX YEARS prior to the Louisville Air Rider being implemented by the IBT, proving once again that Tony Blair is a LIAR! Further details of the above plan, and further proof that it had nothing to do with the Louisville Air Rider negotiations, are provided in the Summary Plan Description linked below! Grandfathered Business Agent UPS/IBT Full-Time Employee Summary Plan Description - https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B881LBMynkMNZkwxbGNGbTNVYjg/view?usp=sharing Highlights - The date on the front cover is JANUARY 1, 2014, proving this matter was settled long before Fred Zuckerman led UPS Worldport Teamsters in the second vote no movement that resulted in a contract rejected by 94% At the top of page 1, highlighted text again indicates this plan was already in effect as of January 1, 2014, before the second contract vote took place at UPS Worldport! In the middle of page 1, the highlighted text shows that the only people eligible for this plan are FULL-TIME UPS EMPLOYEES who had become Business Agents prior to JANUARY 1, 2008! At the top of page 2, the highlighted text once again shows that the plan went into effect on January 1, 2008! THIS IS WHAT KEN HALL NEGOTIATED IN 2008 ONLY FOR BUSINESS AGENTS WHO HAD COME FROM UPS PRIOR TO UPS EXITING THE CENTRAL STATES PENSION FUND! National Labor Relations Board - Teamsters 89 files charges against UPS for regressive bargaining - https://www.nlrb.gov/case/09-CA-124800 Shortly after UPS issued its second "Last Best Final" offer that removed the $1,000 dollar shuttle bonus, Teamsters 89 filed a labor charge against the company for regressive bargaining. In short, this charge was filed because UPS removed the bonus that they had previously offered in their first "Last Best Final", and this is considered bargaining in bad faith, and we demanded that they put it back in. This charge was dismissed by the NLRB after the IBT imposed the contract, because that action meant that negotiations were concluded, and nothing more could be added. Had Hoff and Hall not imposed the contract on us, we would have won that case and UPS would have had to put the shuttle bonus back on the table, AND we would have continued negotiating to receive payment for the shuttle, more full time jobs, 60% disability for full-timers, and many other items! http://teamsters89.com/?zone=/unionactive/view_page.cfm&page=VOTENO For the true history of how the Louisville Air Rider negotiations went, look no further than the Teamsters Local 89 website, which was constantly being updated during the negotiations in order to keep everyone informed of what was going on! Tony Blair is trying to re-write history, but we all know the TRUTH! Fred Zuckerman led the Vote No movement here in Local 89, and the only reason the contract fell short of where we wanted it to be is because James Hoffa, Ken Hall, and UPS conspired together to FORCE the contract on us after we had voted it down by 89% and 94% It's time to make Hoffa / Hall pay for that betrayal! Vote for the Zuckerman / Bolton: Local 89 Teamsters United delegates slate, and help us kick Hoffa and Hall out of office for good! https://www.facebook.com/ZuckermanBoltonSlate2016/ https://twitter.com/ZuckermanBolton

15 Secret WhatsApp Tricks You Should Try

08:26
15 WhatsApp Secret Features You Probably Didn’t Know About. Did you know how to find out the exact time someone read your message? Watch the video and learn all these amazing WhatsApp hacks! It's no wonder that in recent years WhatsApp became a huge part of our lives – it's convenient, quick and easy to use. Pretty much everyone has a large WhatsApp contact list and spend hours each day to catch up with their families, friends or plan some events! TIMESTAMPS How to change the font on WhatsApp 0:35 How to change font style on WhatsApp 1:04 Most popular contacts on WhatsApp 1:36 Muting group chats 2:03 How to make personal information private 2:33 Stop auto-saving 3:07 How to add dates to the calendar 3:35 Add a chat link to your home screen 4:01 How to send a message using Siri 4:28 Back your chat messages 4:53 Send a giant beating heart 5:27 Star the messages 5:49 How to secretly read messages 6:20 How to disable previews 7:03 Find out the exact time someone has read your text 7:33 SUMMARY - Just simply put this ` symbol three times before and after your text message! Like this, ` ` ` Hello!` ` `. - For bold messages, you have to put asterisks before and after your message (*Hello!*). You can send italics messages by adding underscores (_Hello!_). And your message can also be transformed to strikethrough by using tildes (~Hello!~). Plus, you can combine these styles by putting two or even all three symbols together (_~*Hello!*~_). - This works only on iOS devices. You can do that by heading to Settings and then picking Account and Storage Usage. You'll see the list of all your WhatsApp contacts and groups as well as the total number of messages you've sent and received for each one of them! - If there is some group chat or a person that's constantly bothering you with endless messages, you can simply mute it. Just pick the chat, click on its name or the name of the contact on top of the screen and select mute. You'll have an option to mute it for 8 hours, a week or even a year! - Go to Settings, then click Account and select Privacy. Here you can control what users will see your profile picture, status and last time you were seen on WhatsApp. - If you're sick and tired of constantly deleting unnecessary photos that your contacts message you, you can turn the auto-saving off. Again, go to Settings, then select Chats and turn off Save Incoming Media. - If you type a certain date in your message, it will appear as a hyperlink. If you tap on it, you'll be given an option to create an event in your calendar. So you can simply plan some adventures with your friends, work meetings or any other important events right from your WhatsApp. - If you're texting somebody pretty much all day or have a favorite chat that you need quick access to, you can easily add a link to it to your home screen. This works for Android devices. All you need to do is tap and hold on a chat and then click on three vertical dots on the top right of your screen and choose Add Conversation Shortcut. - Just say “Hey, Siri, send a WhatsApp to” and name the contact needed. - If you like to read old messages and get nostalgic from time to time, you can always back your history up on iCloud (for iPhone users) or Google Drive (for Android). If you have an iPhone and you want to back up a certain chat, just click on its name, then on the name of the contact and you'll see an option E-mail conversation. - If you want to express your feelings for someone in a whole other dimension, just send a red heart alone without any other emojis or words. You may think it's nothing much, but amazingly enough, it turns into a big beating heart. - For iOS users, there is a simple solution. Just double tap on a message and select the star icon. - When you receive a message don't open it right away and dismiss all the notifications. Then, set your phone on airline mode that will turn your Wi-Fi or Internet connection off. After that just open your app and read the text. - . WhatsApp thought about that and allowed its users to disable those little previews. To do so, you have to go to Settings, click Notifications and there you'll see the option Disable Show Preview. - Hold on any of your messages you're interested in and choose Info. There you'll see the time your message was sent and also the time it was read. Which one of these features did you like the most? Did you know about some of them? What Will Happen If You Eat Nothing for 7 Days

10:52
How to Fast. What if you decided to quit eating for an entire week? Would it be dangerous for your body? Nowadays, many people prefer to stick to periodical water fasting, so they don't consume any food and drink apart from water. Water fasting should last for no more than a couple of days, and you should consult with a doctor beforehand. Among its benefits are lower blood pressure, improved insulin and leptin sensitivity, lower cholesterol levels, and weight loss. The first and most important thing is not to jump into a long session of water fasting right away. Your first experience with it should last for about 2 days. As you plan your 7-day water fasting, try to pick a low-stress time in your life. Doing this during exam season or when you're moving house isn't the best time. TIMESTAMPS What will happen to your body if you stop eating 0:58 What will happen after the first 6 hours 1:59 What will happen after 3 days 2:47 What will happen after a week 3:29 What will happen after a month or up to 70 days 3:46 What is water fasting 4:52 What is intermittent fasting 6:00 How to perform a water fast 7:31 What to do after you’re done with fasting 9:22 Music: https://www.youtube.com/audiolibrary/music SUMMARY -For the first 6 hours of your “no food” period, everything's going to be just fine. -After 6 hours, your body begins to starve since there's not enough glucose in your blood. -After 3 “no food” days, your brain goes to another extreme and starts to break down your body's protein. This happens because proteins release amino acids, which can be converted into the glucose your body so desperately needs. -After one “no food” week, your immune system becomes extremely weak because it isn’t receiving any vitamins or minerals. -Starvation may lead to death after almost a month or up to 70 days. -There's one rule when it comes to water fasting: you don't consume any food and drink apart from water. According to specialists, water fasting should last for no more than a couple of days, and a consultation with a doctor beforehand is obligatory. -If you want to water fast because of the weight loss factor, you have another option: intermittent fasting. This means eating nothing (or just a few calories) for a certain period of time and then eating as usual for another period. -The first and most important thing is not to jump into a long session of water fasting right away. Your first experience with it should last for about 2 days. Listen to your body carefully during your first water fasting. -When you're done with your fasting, you should break it slowly. Easily digested foods like soups, juices, pureed fruit, white rice, and mashed potatoes are the best products for your first 2 days. Getting Things Done (GTD) by David Allen - Animated Book Summary And Review

SUBSCRIBE for weekly productivity and performance training Get a free download and training --► http://mintfull.com/success * ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Get the book here - http://amzn.to/2bQL5ad Getting Things Done by David Allen is one of the staples of personal and professional productivity. Getting Things Done, or GTD for short has been on the top sellers' list for more than a decade (it first came out in 2001) and with good reason. David Allen has managed to create a system that you can use both at work, at school and at home - it is almost universal. The book though is rather complex and lengthy and you can get lost in the nitty-gritty of the it all. And when you are overwhelmed, you cannot be productive. That's why this video is so essential - in just 8 minutes, you'll be able to understands the core principles of Getting Things Done and start applying them in your life. Not to mention, the video is completely FREE, while you'll have to spend a few bucks to get your own copy of GTD. Don't get me wrong though, the book is rather great, but you have to have the patience to go through all of it and it does get rather technical at times. The best course of action would be the following - watch the video, learn David Allen's GTD concepts, apply them to your life and see how it goes. If you are happy with the results (as you most likely will be), head over to Amazon and get yourself a copy of the actual book. This video will break down for you the core principles of GTD in only 5 steps - capture, process, organize, review and engage (it will make more sense once you've seen the video). Watch the GTD summary, take action and apply it to your life and you'll see dramatic results. Understanding Getting Things Done has never been easier - it only takes 8 minutes. 3-Day Military Diet To Lose Weight As Fast As Possible

06:39
The Military Diet is a super effective short-term food plan that claims to help you lose up to ten pounds in a week. What’s even better, you don’t have to workout and get to eat hotdogs and ice cream. One of the coolest things about this diet is that it lasts only 3 days. You can achieve impressive results only if you follow the eating plan to a T. This diet is surprisingly really easy to follow and doesn’t demand much on your part. You don’t need to constantly count calories, spend hours at the gym, or buy a long list of really expensive supplements. The Military Diet calls for ingredients you can easily find at your nearest grocery store. And how exactly does it work? No miracles, just pure metabolism kick-starting. By decreasing your calorie intake over a short period, your body will burn more fat and, as a result, you’ll lose weight effortlessly. It’s definitely not your typical starvation diet. While it is low in calories, it provides you with the energy you need to have a productive day since it includes healthy fats, carbohydrates, and protein. TIMESTAMPS How does it work? 1:15 Day 1 1:46 Day 2 2:42 Day 3 3:40 Additional tips 4:46 SUMMARY -By decreasing your calorie intake over a short period, your body will burn more fat and, as a result, you’ll lose weight effortlessly. -Start your day with a cup of coffee or tea, a toast with peanut butter and half a grapefruit. Have a cup of hot coffee or tea with a slice of toast and half a cup of tuna for lunch. For dinner you should have about 85 grams of any meat, one cup of green beans, half a banana, and one small apple. You can also treat yourself with one cup of vanilla ice cream. -Your breakfast on the second day of the diet will consist of one slice of toast, one hard-boiled egg, and half a banana. When it's time for lunch, eat one more hard-boiled egg, five saltine crackers, and one cup of cottage cheese. Your final meal for the day should include two hotdogs, a cup of carrots, a cup of broccoli, and half a banana. You are allowed to have 1/2 cup of vanilla ice cream again. -The third and final day of your strict diet plan starts with five saltine crackers, a slice of cheddar cheese, and one small apple. Your lunch will consist of just a slice of wholegrain toast and one egg. Self-Discipline | Why It’s Important & How to Master Self-Control

09:26
Self-discipline and willpower are two of the biggest secrets to success. Improving, cultivating, and growing your self-control and self-discipline will serve you well in both your personal and professional life. Discipline is important because it allows us to live our lives the way we want. As a student, discipline allows you to study more effectively and use your time efficiently. Willpower and self-control allow you to eat healthier, exercise regularly, and be happier. This translates to stronger grades in school, more energy, improved moods, and looking and feeling better. Best Dark Chocolate Ever: http://geni.us/yTdrYXN The Ego-Depletion model of self-control states that our willpower reserves are finite and limited. Therefore, it is imperative you harness your discipline wisely. Three steps to cultivating self-discipline: 1. Start Small 2. Practice Daily 3. Ramp it Up Other Tips: 1. Make it easier for your future self 2. Build the appropriate reward and consequence systems 3. "Doing What You Love" is some of the most misunderstood and misguided advice. Instead grow to love the process. **Let us know how you plan to improve your discipline in the comments below!** Check out the accompanying article: http://medschoolinsiders.com/pre-med/self-discipline-master-self-control/ Music: https://soundcloud.com/lakeyinspired/lakey-inspired-signal ≈≈≈≈≈≈≈≈≈≈≈≈≈≈≈≈≈≈≈≈≈≈≈≈≈≈≈≈≈≈≈≈≈≈ WEBSITE: https://medschoolinsiders.com TWITTER: https://twitter.com/MedInsiders FACEBOOK: https://www.facebook.com/medschoolinsiders INSTAGRAM: https://www.instagram.com/medschoolinsiders

What Will Happen If You Start Eating Oats Every Day

10:07
Doctors and nutritionists highly recommend making oatmeal a part of your diet and having it as your healthy morning meal. The secret is simple: good-quality environmentally-friendly oats help you feel and look better on the inside and out. Oats have some unique properties thanks to the wide variety of vitamins and minerals they contain. Zinc helps cleanse the skin and remove toxins and other harmful compounds. Iron is one of the most important elements for the nutrition and saturation of moisture in skin cells. Magnesium promotes blood circulation and noticeable skin cell renewal. While protein is extremely important, your body also demands carbohydrates and fats, both of which you can find in oatmeal. Oats are also rich in antioxidants that help alleviate itching, inflammation, and high blood pressure. The slow carbohydrates found in oatmeal help curb your appetite and maintain normal blood sugar levels. All those nutrients in oats not only boost your metabolism but also prevent the accumulation of fat and toxins in the body. Thanks to the antioxidants present in oatmeal, the probability of damage to the walls of blood vessels by free radicals is reduced significantly. If you find it boring to just have oatmeal for breakfast every day, you’ll love the recipes we have put together to help you turn a boring oatmeal breakfast into something way more flavorful. Music: Mint Chocolate 2a - Vibe Mountain https://www.youtube.com/audiolibrary/music TIMESTAMPS Your skin will look better. 0:51 Your muscles will get much-needed protein. 1:48 You’ll get a boost of antioxidants. 2:31 You'll be full of energy. 3:19 You'll lose weight. 4:19 Your cholesterol will decrease. 5:00 You'll have a lower risk of developing heart disease. 5:40 You'll get rid of digestive problems. 6:00 Oatmeal recipes: Apple pie oatmeal 6:50 Oatmeal raisin cookies 7:43 Almond butter-banana oatmeal 8:55 SUMMARY -Oatmeal is ideal for treating inflammatory conditions, like eczema, dermatitis, and skin rashes. It also promotes healthy skin overall. -One serving, or about half a cup, of oatmeal gives your body 15% of the recommended daily amount of protein. Don’t forget about vitamin E, antioxidants, and glutamine, which help muscle fibers regenerate faster. -Oats are rich in antioxidants that help alleviate itching, inflammation, and high blood pressure. -Oatmeal is full of carbohydrates that give your body the energy it needs. -Beta-glucan in oats keeps you from overeating by helping you feel fuller for a longer amount of time and promoting the release of a satiety hormone. -The linoleic acid and soluble fiber contained in oatmeal helps lower the level of bad cholesterol in the blood. -Oats are rich in good healthy fats and support the cells in the heart and circulatory system. -Experts recommend getting at least 25-38 grams of dietary fiber every day since it’s ideal for good digestion. -Try apple pie oatmeal to boost your metabolism. You’ll need oatmeal, almond milk, cinnamon, maple syrup, a large apple and apple sauce to cook it. -The ingredients you’ll need for oatmeal raisin cookies are flour, sea salt, baking soda, butter, an egg, brown sugar, cinnamon, raisins, apple sauce and fast-cooking oats. -To cook almond butter-banana oatmeal, you’ll need oatmeal, milk, almond butter, honey and a banana. China's trillion dollar plan to dominate global trade

05:59
It's about more than just economics. To learn more, visit https://reconnectingasia.csis.org/map/ Subscribe to our channel! http://goo.gl/0bsAjO China's Belt and Road Initiative is the most ambitious infrastructure project in modern history. It spans over 60 countries and will cost over a trillion dollars. The plan is to make it easier for the world to trade with China, by funding roads, railways, pipelines, and other infrastructure projects in Asia and Africa. China is loaning trillions of dollars to any country that's willing to participate and it's been a big hit with the less democratic countries in the region. This makes the BRI a risky plan as well. But China is pushing forward because its goals are not strictly economic, they're also geopolitical. To truly understand the international conflicts and trends shaping our world you need a big-picture view. The 48 Laws of Power (Animated)

Get 2 FREE Audiobooks of Your Choice on Audible | http://amzn.to/2b9GBJr I crafted this summary of the 48 Laws of Power in anger. It is the end result of 2 years of animating all chapters condensed for your viewing pleasure. Surely, you've heard the phrase "Hate the game, not the player." I'm exposing the game and the players for you. Being honest and speaking the truth has been a punishing and not at all rewarding experience, since most people will always shoot the messenger. I aim to raise awareness and arm the clueless for self-protection. I am not advocating becoming a manipulating and ruthless sociopath. I can't respect those who don't understand the difference. It's a self-improvement book, not the work of the devil. Robert Greene is all about intense realism. Seeing things for what they are, whether you like the truth or not. Hopefully you'll find the video helpful, learn from it and share it with others. I've received plenty of messages from good people claiming it changed their lives for the better. Don't let others use and abuse you. Don't live in a fantasy land. Be cautious. Read this book or don't. How to Lose Belly Fat in 1 Night With This Diet

05:17
How to Lose Belly Fat Fats? The real monster is the fat in the abdominal cavity, also known as belly fat. Not only does it bring you health problems, but also it is one of the most difficult types of fat to get rid of. However, you can get rid of it in just a single night. Each of us has some belly fat, even people who have flat tummies. That is normal, but too much of it can affect your health stronger than other types of fat. Being overweight does not always mean being unhealthy. There are many great examples of overweight people who have excellent health. On the contrary, there is the same amount of examples of people who are skinny but face some metabolic issues. TIMESTAMPS Metabolic issues 0:30 Do you have too much of belly fat? 1:39 The most effective diet ever 3:49 SUMMARY All that happens because the under skin fat does not cause so many health problems. It causes only discomforts from the cosmetic point of view, doesn’t it? The real monster is the fat in the abdominal cavity, also known as the belly fat. Not only does it bring you health problems, but also it is one of the most difficult types of fat to get rid of. Hence, belly fat is more than just an irritant that makes your clothes feel tight. How can it bring health problems? You might ask. Here is the answer: some fat is there right under your skin while other is deep inside around your organs – liver, heart, lungs. This type of fat is called ‘visceral’ fat. And this is the very type which is bad even for slim people. Well, don’t get disappointed so fast. We do need some of ‘visceral’ fat though. Guess why? Yes, because it acts as cushions around your organs. But again, you should know the measure. Because too much of it can cause high blood pressure, heart diseases and even some types of cancers. Do you have too much belly fat? Now, how to know if you have too much of belly fat? There is a straightforward way to do it. Get a measuring tape and put it around your waist. Did it? Now you can check your girth. Keep in mind that you should do it while you are in a standing position, not sitting. Ok? It will be easier if you start and finish at your belly button that will give you measurements that are more precise. Now, if you are a woman and your waist size is less than 35 inches – relax – everything is fine. However, if it is more than 35 inches then you definitely should consider this diet, the secret of which we are going to reveal very soon. And if you are a man, then the waist size less than 40 inches sounds pretty ok, while more than 40 inches should alarm you and the diet would be a good way out. Scientists Reveal 13 Signs of Exceptional Intelligence

10:42
How to understand you are smart? How to become a genius? Here are 13 traits of intelligent people that will help you recognize them without any tests. We usually take IQ tests to measure a person’s mental abilities, but as it’s not always necessary. It’s hard to argue with the fact that some of us are smarter than others (yes, there are so FEW of us). It might be offensive, but it is what it is, and there is no denying it. We usually take IQ tests to measure a person’s mental abilities, but as it turns out, it’s not always necessary! What does it mean if you are a messy person? Can someone lazy be smart? We've got 13 traits of intelligent people that will help you recognize them without any tests. You can use these signs for self-analysis! TIMESTAMPS Smart people love cats 0:51 Smart people easily adapt 1:42 You sense when you are being lied to 2:03 You are self-sufficient 2:38 Sometimes you are messy 3:25 You don’t lie to yourself 4:22 You can hold your emotions when it’s necessary 4:58 You always make plans 5:37 You like being lazy sometimes 6:16 You don’t get stuck in the past 7:23 You make mistakes 7:52 You don't prove anything to anyone 8:24 You know what finger ration means 9:22 SUMMARY - Scientists really think that so-called cat-people are smarter than those who prefer dogs. It has been proved in a US study. - Intelligent people adapt to the changing environment easier than less intelligent. They either change their opinions or the environment itself. - Smart people are believed to understand other people’s intentions, motivation, and wishes much better. Think about the smartest friend you have — is it easy to get him or her to do something that you want? - Of course, intelligent people have partners — they love being together with other people. However, they don’t let their entire lives revolve around their boyfriends or girlfriends. Smart people can live just okay on their own. - Intelligent people are messier than less intelligent ones. Scientists think that this is because a person’s mind is busy with more important things. Smart people know that paying too much attention to such insignificant things is stupid. - Smart people don’t lie to themselves just because they can’t do that. They are unable to convince themselves of something that they know is not true. - Intelligent people don’t like showing their true emotions because they can be used against them. In an argument, it’s much better to conceal what you really feel, this way you will have a winning position. - Smart people use their time wisely. That’s why they don’t rely on improvisation. They analyze the situation and evaluate all possible options. - Research that was conducted by a team of scientists from Florida Gulf Coast University suggests that lazing around might be a sign of high intelligence. - Intelligent people value their experience and memories, but they realize that there is no point getting fixated on what has been said and done. They dream and plan their future while living in the present moment. - You can never move on if you keep regretting the mistakes you’ve done in the past. The best thing you do about the mistakes is learning from them and avoid repeating them. - Intelligent people don’t push their smartness on anyone. They know that it doesn’t matter if anyone knows they are smart or not. - There might be a connection between the index finger and the ring finger ration and your mental abilities. Knowing what ration even means already makes you smarter that many people, but still: the ration between the index finger and the ring finger can be calculated by dividing their lengths. It's free and very enlightening. Dr. Berg talks about the power of intermittent fasting. This is not a diet, but a pattern of eating. Why does it work? Because it triggers Growth Hormone and inhibits insulin. The purpose of intermittent fasting is to lower insulin, take the stress off insulin and the gland that makes it - pancreas, and thus restore your metabolism. This can heal a plateaued set-point. If you have fat in your mid-section, then we know you have high insulin. INSULIN RESISTANCE: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pxl8h... WHAT TO EAT: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aHKay... Start with 3 meals per day, no snacking. Then do 3 meals per day but only eating your 3 meals in a 8 hour window, thus fasting for 16 hours. Ultimately, you want to fast for 20 hours and eat within a 4 hour window - 2 meals per day. If you add exercise, high intensity interval training, you can greatly enhance Growth Hormone even more. Which Type Of Intermittent Fasting Is For You (The Truth About Intermittent Fasting)

11:12
Which type of intermittent Fasting is for you? There are many types of intermittent fasting protocols and different people suit different protocols. Today I'm going over what the different types are and how to pick one that is right for you. Which type of intermittent fasting is right for you will depend on a number of factors such as your genetics, diet, activity level, etc... First and foremost let's get some facts straight. Most people do intermittent fasting because it helps them lose fat. You might hear a lot about “insulin being lowered and therefore fat burning increasing” and there is some truth to this. But, for the most part, fasting works because you eat less food as long as you're eating the same amount of calories and protein. Meal timing simply isn't that important. Besides fat loss there are a number of other potential benefits of intermittent fasting: - Increased insulin sensitivity - Decrease in appetite - Improved cardiovascular health - Increased autophagy - Increased neurogenesis (growth of new brain cells) - Increased mitochondrial biogenesis - Anti-ageing (at least in animals - although the research is mixed) What are some of the different types of intermittent fasting? 16/8 or Leangains - 16:8 also known as Lean Gains is a schedule of eating popularised by Martin Berkhan and involves fasting for 16 hours and eating for 8 hours. Alternate day fasting - Alternate day fasting basically means you fast some days and don't on others. This could mean you eat breakfast Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and skip it for the rest of the week. The warrior diet (20:4) - The warrior diet involves eating for 4 hours and fasting for 20 hours. Or the classical warrior diet is known as 20 hours of snacking and 4 hours of feeding. One meal a day (OMAD) - One meal a day, commonly known as ‘OMAD’ involves eating once per day. In general, this would take you around 2 hours and so it usually ends up as a 22:2 schedule. Prolonged Fasting - Prolonged fasting involves fasting for over 48 hours, usually up to around 120 hours. Prolonged fasts have potential benefits for health that isn’t achievable during a regular fasting period. Fat fasts (not recommended) - Eating nothing but fat in order to lower insulin and enter a state of nutritional ketosis. Protein sparing modified fast (not recommended) - Eating nothing but protein to lower calories but prevent muscle loss Summary Which type of intermittent fasting you do (or whether you do it at all) completely depends on you as an individual, and is something you need to think about. Don’t jump straight into a 20 hour or prolonged fast if you’re not ready. It’s better to start slow so your body can adjust to changes. I think for most people lifting weights and going to the gym, 16/8 is the best option. It’s sustainable and basically just requires you to skip breakfast and eat an early dinner. It's easy to work into your life socially and logistically. It makes eating less easy but under-eating difficult. I would start here and try this daily to see how your body reacts. Most people eat from 12-8PM for the 16/8 schedule. You can change the feeding time to fit your own schedule. Quit social media | Dr. Cal Newport | TEDxTysons

13:51
'Deep work' will make you better at what you do. You will achieve more in less time. And feel the sense of true fulfillment that comes from the mastery of a skill. Cal Newport is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at Georgetown University. In addition to studying the theoretical foundations of our digital age, Newport also writes about the impact of these technologies on the world of work. His most recent book, Deep Work, argues that focus is the new I.Q. in the modern workplace and that the ability to concentrate without distraction is becoming increasingly valuable. He previously wrote So Good They Can’t Ignore You, a book which debunks the long-held belief that “follow your passion” is good advice, and three popular books of unconventional advice for students. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at http://ted.com/tedx

Trade wars, explained

Complex geopolitical maneuvering explained with Game of Thrones and . . . googly eyes. Subscribe to our channel! http://goo.gl/0bsAjO Tariffs can be used as a useful tool to protect domestic industry or to serve as a punitive measure against another country. But President Trump’s bluster and threats of imposing tariffs on foreign imports to the US have raised the specter of a trade war with China, and more recently, Mexico. The “weapons” used in a trade war are the stuff we use everyday — the food we eat, the cars we drive to work and the computers we use. If a trade war can have such a pervasive impact on our daily lives, why would a country choose to engage in one? And what even is a trade war anyway?
