My one year journey dedicated to my kids and thanking God in heaven for the success of experienced so far. I am a 44 year old mom of three grown kids and a grandma to one gorgeous granddaughter. I stand at 5'3" and started this journey at 196 lbs. Last weigh in was right after Thanksgiving 2014, I was 151 lbs. I haven't been back on the scale lately as I don't own one. However, I've gone from a size 16 jean to a 10. My goal is to fit comfortably into a size 8 pant/jean, however, I wouldn't complain about getting into a 5 which was my usual lifelong jean size (that is up until I started self medicating with food and gaining weight.) I suffer from anxiety and I systematically began self medicating with foods. My favorite fare: greasy fast food. It seemed to have a sedative effect on me. I had to learn how to deal with my anxiety in a healthy way and sometimes when my anxiety spikes, I just have to deal with it and "feel" the anxiety. It is not easy, sometimes it is down right maddening. But I don't ever want to go back to where I was a year ago! Hoping with some followers there will be interest in follow up videos explaining how I did it. No fads, no quick fixes, had to address the real issues and change for life.

That is long breath exercise invented by Japanese guy whose name is Miki. Long breath exercise is a very innovative, efficient method to train core muscles by breathing hard and slowly. It’s very intense, but if you continue in a correct way, maybe you get sexy body like him. Here is how. First, cross your legs a bit. Close your anal very very tight. Put 90% of the body weight on the back foot. Lean backward in straight. Do not bend your back too much, otherwise you get back pain. Be straight. Inhale in 3 seconds, then exhale very hard and very slowly in 7 seconds. (demo) At the first 3 or 4 seconds, exhale almost all the air, then continue to exhale to empty the air. Use all the body muscles when you exhale. That’s the key to train inner muscles. This is ab breathing, which means that you breathe in from the ab, your ab becomes smaller. (demo to show ab) When you exhale, the ab becomes bigger. (demo) Repeat this 3 times, then go to the next step. Do the same exercise, but this time breathe in and out both from the ab. Imagine that your ab and back attach each other. Repeat this 3 times, that’s it! I mean the basics are: Get into a caloric deficit, keep the protein intake high, get into resistance training, potentially add some cardiovascular exercise, stay active, get 7-9 hours of sleep, eat 80-90% whole healthy unprocessed foods and stick with this for an extended period of time to get to the end result. And lastly, as your body gets used to the caloric deficit and when you stop losing fat just reduce calories further or increase activity levels to keep going. Sounds simple, right? Yes, but it's not always easy to do. Things like hunger, life events, stress and the time/effort needed to invest in managing your nutrition make it much harder. Especially if it's your first diet where you're tracking food intake and measuring calories. The process to lose fat is, however, a simple one, but the problem is when the scale is no longer moving, and you know that you've been doing everything right. At this point, there're only a few things that could be wrong. It's either that your food intake wasn't tracked accurately or you need to reduce calories/increase activity, or you have some water retention. The problem with the weight scale is that sometimes it can take weeks for it show progress. And this is particularly the case in the later stages of dieting when stress is high, and water retention is increased. When the scale stops showing progress a lot of people panic, get stressed out, start adding more activity and cutting calories further. This often causes even more stress leading to even more water retention and then you have people think that their body is broken, that they have some metabolic damage and they give up. In reality, they were probably losing fat all this time, and it just took some patience or a well planned one-week diet break to maintenance to "reveal" the progress. Now, there're a few ways to deal with this. One is patience and trusting the process. The other is using more tools and actively seeing signs of progress. Four very useful tools to track your fat loss progress with: - Weight scale (Take weekly averages after you weigh yourself every day, or bi-weekly or even monthly to compare and seek progress) - Raw caliper measurements (A great tool to see progress, there's a tiny bit of error which can be minimized by using a digital caliper) - Tape measure (Measuring your waist, thighs, and arms) - Mirror (Taking photos and comparing week to week, month to month) Combining data from all four will give you a really good idea whether the calories / macro-nutrient setup you're following is putting your body in a negative energy balance. And once again, patience goes a long way. Meditation is extremely helpful, as well as actively doing things that relieve stress. Often we forget that we can't control the outcome of our actions and that we can only do the action itself. In this video, I’m showing you a 4 step plan that can attack the most common posture flaws to give you a nice, tall, upright posture sooner than you think. I’m going to show you how to hit correct rounded shoulders, a hunched back, crooked neck, forward head and tilted pelvis. When you apply the easy drills shown here you will start to feel better almost instantly and work towards permanently fixing your bad posture. The four biggest problem areas for those with bad posture is the neck, shoulders, mid back and pelvis. Specifically, if you spend a lot of time sitting at a desk or behind the wheel you will wind up getting slumping shoulders and a rounded back. To counteract the head being pulled downward, you wind up tilting your head up so you can look straight ahead. This has the effect of overarching your neck and weakening the deep neck flexors. Finally, when the upper spine curves forward, the pelvis winds up curling under. This posterior pelvic tilt is something that adaptively tightens the hamstrings and weakens the lower back. If you want to fix your posture you have to hit each of these areas with individualized attention. While not an hour, these posture correction exercises will have an immediate impact on the way you feel. You should feel as if you have more mobility in the tightened areas and that your body begins to move more free and easy. From here, with a bit of consistency you will be able to make permanent changes in your posture that will have you feeling stronger and looking much better than you do now. An important note on posture and working out, that I referenced earlier, is that it is not a good idea to lift weights when your body is severely out of alignment. All you are doing is strengthening poor posture and dysfunction. Lifting weights in the presence of dysfunction is quickly going to lead to not only other compensations elsewhere in the kinetic chain but likely wind up in injury. I've heard of many weight loss hacks in my time, and sadly, most of them aren't very helpful. Some suggest to watch a horror movie to burn calories. Sniff an apple to reduce your appetite. Massage your ears to increase your metabolism. Nonsense! So in this video, I'm going to present 10 useful weight loss hacks GUARANTEED to actually work. 1. First things first. If you want to lose weight fast, you have to cut refined sugars and starches out of your diet. This alone will help you quickly lose pounds of excess fat and inches off of your waist! When you consume carbohydrates, your body not only produces more fat, but it also slows down the burning of fat. Carbs present in your body hold a ton of water weight as well. If you cut down your carb intake, your body is forced to burn up the carbs you've been holding onto for energy, and after all of that is burned up, your body has no other choice but to burn your fat for energy. By putting fewer carbs in your body, you will turn into a fat-burning machine. The standard american diet has over 300g of carbs per day. To cut body fat fast, eat 100-150g carbs per day, and make sure you stay away from junk foods and choose unprocessed foods. This will allow your body to tap into your fat storage for energy. 2. Incorporate more protein in your diet. Protein slows down digestion, which means you'll feel full and satisfied for longer, and it's appetite-reducing so you'll end up eating fewer calories throughout the day. You can control bad food cravings and overeating by consuming protein-rich foods, such as greek yogurt, eggs, cottage cheese, milk, chicken, steak, turkey breast, fish, beans, peanut butter, tofu, and the list goes on and on! Studies have shown that eating two eggs for breakfast can boost weight loss by 65 percent! 3. Lower Your Caloric Intake Weight loss is a numbers game. You need to burn more calories than you eat every day to lose weight. It's that simple. There are 3,500 calories in a pound of fat. To lose a pound of pure body fat each week, you need to shave off 500 calories from your daily caloric intake each day. 500x7=3,500. Most people need 2,000 calories to not gain or lose a single pound. So to lose that one pound of weight in 7 days, you need to consume 1,500 calories per day. 4. Cut out snacking. Snacking can break your weight loss efforts. The truth is, you should focus more on eating three healthy, filling meals, and not so much on snack foods that don't fill you up anyway. If you're aiming to lose weight fast, cut out snacking completely. 5. Limit your energy drink and starbucks consumption. Actually, try limit any drink that isn't water. The last thing you want to do is drink your calories. 6. Count/Write down your calories Research indicates that we are terrible at estimating calorie counts, why is why if you want to lose weight fast, you must get in the habit of counting your calories. You need to keep a food journal handy, read nutrition labels and jot down the foods you eat so that you can add up how many calories you eat per day. Write down every morsel of food that passes your lips and you may be surprised at just how many calories you are actually eating per day. 7. Cardio Exercise If you want real results, then exercise is just as important as diet. Exercise is great for boosting your metabolism. When you have a fast metabolism, your body is burning calories at a higher rate (even when you're resting), which makes it harder to gain weight. You should aim for 150 minutes of moderate exercise per week for weight loss. Cardio exercises that burn the most calories are jumping jacks and rope jumping. Jumping jacks burn 100 calories in 10 minutes, while rope jumping burns as much as 130 calories in 10 minutes. Now if those exercises get to be a little difficult for you, then fast-paced walking mixed in with a little jogging may be the way to go for a fat-burning workout. 8. Drink More Water While water doesn't have anything magical in it that burns fat, it certainly will help you with your weight loss efforts. Drinking water means you aren't drinking other beverages that have calories in them. Drinking a glass or two of water 20 minutes before a meal may help you feel fuller, resulting in you eating less food and consuming fewer calories. A 2010 study conducted by the American Chemical Society confirms that people that consumed two cups of water right before eating a meal ate between 75 and 90 fewer calories during that meal. People that drink more water throughout the day have more energy because they are more hydrated and won't feel too tired to work out. 9. Get enough sleep Having poor sleep habits can cause you to gain weight. your metabolism does not function properly when you're sleep-deprived. 10. Believe!
