Do you want to lower your cholesterol? In this short video, I share three unusual ways of improving your cholesterol levels naturally. Links to all the studies and further info on improving your cholesterol naturally, so you may be able to avoid medication altogether: http://bit.ly/cholesterol-heart-attacks You're unlikely to hear the tips in this video from a doctor. Yet they can be highly effective at getting your cholesterol to a healthy level. In fact, one of them was found in a study to lower the heart disease risk for 9 out of 10 people. My name is Gareth Churchill and I’m natural health researcher for Erudite Lifestyle magazine. We report on the latest breakthroughs in alternative medicine as well as expose the bogus claims. When it comes to cholesterol, new advances are being made all the time on how to balance your cholesterol and lower your risk of heart disease naturally, and avoid spending a lifetime on pharmaceutical drugs with possible side effects. My first unusual tip is to eat FAT. That's right, I said FAT. But not any fat. I mean healthy fats that can help boost your GOOD HDL cholesterol. This includes fatty fish, olives, flax seeds and avocados. My next tip is to drink ALCOHOL. Or to be precise, one glass of red wine a day. Again, research suggests it can raise HDL cholesterol by as much as 15% and help get your cholesterol to a healthy ratio. My final tip is to try CHELATION therapy. This was first developed to remove heavy metals from the arteries of factory workers. However, doctors were amazed to discover it can help flush out cholesterol plaque as well, and has been found to lower the risk of heart disease for 9 out of 10 people. In this short video I’m only scratching the surface on how to get your cholesterol to a healthy ratio and lower your risk of a heart attack or stroke. On the Erudite Lifestyle website we explain in detail how to flush toxic cholesterol plaque from your arteries, to lower your blood pressure and improve your all round health. We also reveal why cholesterol may not be the #1 cause of heart attacks at all. And what you need to ask your doctor to check for instead. What’s more, you can get our FREE report on 7 Brain Foods for a smarter, faster and clearer mind. Sounds interesting? Then click the link below. I hope you find our information helpful in balancing your cholesterol and improving your all round health. Eat Oatmeal Everyday And See What Will Happens To Your Body - Benefits Of Oatmeal !! We all know that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Breakfast which includes oatmeal can do wonders for your health. Oats have been cultivated and used as a source of food and medicine for more than two thousand years. Moreover, oatmeal has been used for treating a number of conditions, including skin problems, intestinal disorders, nerve problems, and uterine issues. Here’s What Happens To Your Body When You Eat Oatmeal Everyday: Consult your doctor before making a change to your daily diet. Nutritional Benefits Of Eating Oatmeal Everyday: A half-cup of oatmeal contains 13 grams of protein and one small quarter-cup of oatmeal provides you with almost 100% of the recommended daily intake of manganese. Furthermore, oatmeal is rich in numerous antioxidants, including tocotrienols, vitamin E, phenolic acids, and phytic acid. Other nutrients it contains: vitamin B1, biotin, copper, phosphorus, molybdenum, and magnesium among other phytonutrients. Changes You Can See In Your Body When You Eat Oatmeal Everyday: Regular consumption of oatmeal can prevent obesity and weight gain since it has the ability to keep you full for longer and curb food cravings. You will notice positive changes in your body in a couple of ways. It will boost your energy and provides fiber that will keep you full longer. A bowl of oatmeal has a low-glycemic impact when consumed in the morning and it will provide you with a good source of energy throughout the morning hours, without a dramatic increase or drop in blood sugar levels. Oatmeal can help you reduce your total calorie intake by 81 percent. A study on high-GI breakfasts versus low-GI breakfasts and the later caloric intake in the day found that oatmeal has the ability to prevent people from over-consuming calories at later meals. Generally, most low calorie, low fat diets do not keep us full for longer. On the other hand, oatmeal helps you eat less throughout the rest of the day. This will result in weight loss and fat loss changes in the body. Other Health Benefits Of Eating Oatmeal Everyday: Reduced cholesterol Lower risk of cardiovascular disease Lower risk of heart failure Strong immune system Controlled blood sugar levels and reduced risk of type2 diabetes Prevent cancer due to its high fiber content Whole grains protect from childhood asthma Excellent grain alternative for people with celiac disease and for those who avoid gluten Extend life expectancy What You Need To Know About Oat Processing: Oat groats: unflattened kernels that are good for using as a breakfast cereal or for stuffing. Steel-cut oats: featuring a dense and chewy texture, they are produced by running the grain through steel blades that thinly slices them. Old-fashioned oats: are flatter since they are steamed and then rolled. Quick-cooking oats: processed like old-fashioned oats, but they are cut finely before rolling. Instant oatmeal: produced by partially cooking the grains and then rolling them very thin. Oat bran: just the outer layer of the oat grain that resides under the hull. All of these choices can be your perfect and favorite meal. However, the less processed your meal is, the higher nutritional value it has. Choose steel-cut oats for your oatmeal breakfast. You can consume oatmeal as a grain alternative for each meal. For example, you can find a quinoa recipe and replace oatmeal as the grain. Lower High Cholesterol A high LDL cholesterol level is medically known as hypercholesterolemia. Here are the top 10 super foods to lower cholesterol. 01:02 Oatmeal 02:05 Almonds 03:09 Orange Juice. 04:07 Salmon 05:06 Soybeans and Soy Products. Having a bowl of oatmeal for breakfast daily is another easy way to lower your high cholesterol level. The high soluble fiber content in oatmeal helps lower LDL. It reduces the absorption of cholesterol into your bloodstream. Fiber also fills you up quickly and helps you avoid mindless eating. The heart-healthy monounsaturated fats, polyunsaturated fats and fiber in almonds help raise good HDL cholesterol and reduce the bad LDL levels. A 2011 study published in Nutrition Review found that consumption of tree nuts like almonds help reduce LDL cholesterol, a primary target for coronary disease prevention, by 3 to 19 percent. Sweet, tangy and juicy oranges are another superfood that has cholesterol-lowering properties. In a 2000 study published in the American Society for Clinical Nutrition journal, researchers found that orange juice improves blood lipid profiles in people who have hypercholesterolemia. This happens due to the presence of vitamin C, folate and flavonoids like hesperidin in oranges. The omega-3 fatty acids called EPA and DHA found in salmon provide protection against high cholesterol. It helps lower triglycerides and boosts good HDL cholesterol slightly, thus lowering the risk of heart disease. In addition, salmon is low in cholesterol and saturated fat. Soybeans and other soy products offer a complete plant-based protein that is great for those who suffer from high cholesterol. Although soy may not lower total cholesterol to a great extent, it can still lower bad LDL cholesterol. This high-protein food contains high levels of polyunsaturated fats, fiber, vitamins and minerals as well as low levels of saturated fat. Bone broth Recipe: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fCBgNx_pUPk By now, you’ve probably at least heard about the trendy hot beverage known as bone broth. Many health experts and fans of this near magical elixir have been singing its praises, but it’s actually been considered an excellent healer in numerous cultures for centuries. Bone-broth is a versatile, rich source of nutrients, and it’s inexpensive too. If You’ve Never tried Bone-Broth, you should definitely give it a try to receive this amazing 6-benefits. 1.Bone-broth can help you look younger. Who doesn’t want to look younger? Unless you’re very young already, you can probably use a boost of youthfulness, and thanks to the high content of collagen in bone-broth, it can help make your skin look younger, and improve the appearance of your hair and nails too. Collagen helps to form tissues in the skin that make it stronger and smoother. Scientific research has shown that a higher intake of collagen is linked to improved hydration and skin barrier functions, and a reduction in signs of aging like fine-lines, wrinkles and sagging. 2.Better sleep. Experts say it’s due to the amino-acids in bone-broth which act like inhibitory neurotransmitters for the production of chemicals and hormones that are important for sleep. Increasing glycine intake has been shown to help people who suffer from sleep problems get better rest as well as improve memory – that makes sense as when you’re well-rested, you can think clearer too. 3.Stronger bones and healthier joints. The phosphorus, magnesium, and calcium in the bones that are used to make bone-broth, seeps out into the liquid to provide you with the essential building blocks for healthy bones. Bone-broth also contains chondroitin sulfate, which has been shown to lower the risk of osteoarthritis. If you suffer from joint-pain, you probably know that taking glucosamine supplements can help, but bone-broth contains this important compound too, along with other nutrients that keep the joints healthy and pain-free. 4.An energy boost A boost of energy is something else most of us could use with our very busy schedules often leaving us drained by late-afternoon. As bone-broth is a great source of electrolytes, like potassium, magnesium, and sodium which help to sustain energy and are important for muscle, nerve, digestive and cognitive function. Many bone-broth fans swear by the boost of energy they get after consuming it. Some even claim it works better than coffee, without the side-effects. 5.Helps Detoxify the Liver and Digestive System. Consuming bone-broth is an effective way to boost your supply of the antioxidant glutathione, one of the body’s most powerful detoxifying agents. Glutathione helps the liver flush out excess chemicals, stored hormones and other waste. 6.Boosts Immunity. Bone-broth fasts can increase beneficial bacteria living in the gut, which are highly correlated with stronger immunity. Good-bacteria in the gut can actually turn on certain genes that help regulate inflammation and turn down numerous types of unwanted symptoms. Oranges First up is a very common citrus fruit that contains pectin. Like other types of soluble fiber, pectin forms a gooey mass in your stomach that traps cholesterol and carries it out of your body before it can be absorbed into your bloodstream (where it contributes to clogged arteries). One medium orange provides about 2 to 3 g of soluble fiber, as well as other beneficial nutrients such as vitamin C, folate, and potassium. You have to eat oranges in order to benefit from their fiber content, so put your juicer aside, and choose thick-skinned varieties for the best taste and easiest peeling. Beans and Lentils Beans and lentils are sky-high in fiber, a good portion of which is the heart-healthy soluble type. They’re also a great low-fat replacement for animal protein, which is often full of saturated fat. Beans can be incorporated into breakfast, lunch, dinner, and even snacks. For breakfast, make a burrito with scrambled egg whites, black beans, and salsa. At lunch, a bowl of lentil soup with a few whole grain crackers hits the spot. For dinner, skip the typical side dish of pasta, potatoes, or rice and try seasoned beans instead. Oats Here’s one you probably know about already, but you may not be aware of some of the less conventional forms and uses for this soluble fiber-rich grain. While oatmeal is an obvious winner, oat flour is another versatile option. If you can’t find it in the places you typically shop, you can make your own by pulverizing rolled oats in a food processor. Oat flour can be substituted for up to half the all-purpose flour in most pancake and muffin recipes; I even use it in the low-fat oatmeal cookies my kids adore. Pistachio Nuts I love pistachio nuts, so I was thrilled when a 2008 study revealed that eating one or two handfuls (1.5 to 3 ounces) per day for four weeks significantly reduced LDL cholesterol in people with elevated blood levels. Turns out, these little powerhouses are a great source of phytosterols, the natural plant compounds that block absorption of dietary cholesterol. They’re also rich in monounsaturated fat, fiber, and antioxidants — all of which are good for heart health. I prefer pistachios in the shell because it forces me to eat them slowly and prevents me from overdoing it with these healthy — but caloric — treats. Oil Spray Because losing weight is the best way to lower your LDL (“bad”) cholesterol and boost your HDL (“good”) cholesterol, cutting calories is important. One surefire way to cut back is to use an oil spray in place of bottled oils when cooking. Instead of purchasing disposable nonstick spray canisters, I use a reusable oil mister and fill it with my favorite brand of olive oil. Using oils packed with monounsaturated fats, like olive and canola, helps to improve your overall cholesterol profile. Lower Your Cholesterol Without Medication: http://infousa1.com/lower-cholesterol-without-medication Visit The Webpage Now. This video provides info to answer the question How To Lower Cholesterol Without Medication? Choose The Link Options To Visit That Website Now. What is cholesterol? A very simple explanation is that cholesterol is a waxy, fat like, substance. It is predominately found within the bodies of humans and many animals. It is in our bloodstream and throughout our body's cells. We need cholesterol to help our brain, skin, and other organs grow and work the way they should. The liver makes cholesterol for the body. Plus, people also add excess cholesterol into their bodies through the foods that they choose to eat. Low-Density Lipoprotein (LDL) is considered the “bad” cholesterol because too much of it can turn into a thick, hard deposit called plague. It can clog arteries which can lead to many health problems including a heart attack or stroke. High-Density Lipoprotein (HDL) is considered “good” cholesterol because it actually helps to remove the LDL cholesterol. So the real objective is not just simply lowering cholesterol. It is to maintain a good level of HDL. While reducing the presence of the LDL in you blood system. And, just like many things with our health, diet plays a very important role. There are foods that can help you do this naturally without drugs. Here are 5 that you will see over and over again. Oatmeal: Switching up your breakfast to regularly having a bowl of plain oatmeal can lower LDL cholesterol. Whole oats have a substance that absorbs the LDL. Your body then excretes it. Blueberries: There has been research that suggests blueberries may actually turn down the liver's production of cholesterol in your body Salmon, Tuna Mackerel, Trout: Omega-3 has numerous health benefits to the brain, heart, joints, and more. But on the topic of cholesterol Omega-3 has been shown to significantly increase the HDL while simultaneously lowering LDL. Walnuts, Almonds, Pistachios: Walnuts are high in a type of acid that has been shown to reduce LDL plague build up. A study showed pistachios lowers total and LDL cholesterol and can reduce the risk of diabetes-related disease in the arteries. Another study showed the more almond that were eaten the lower LDL dropped. Black Beans: Beans are also considered a Super Food. And there are many other health beneficial beans. But black beans have the richest source of soluble fiber which is a proven LDL cholesterol lowering agent. Exercise: Yes... there's just no escaping it. When it comes to health, you have to move your body. Exercise has been proven to lower cholesterol. We all love eating rice, but one thing that prevents us from eating rice is the weight gain, which it brings with it. Rice is a stable diet in many countries, including India. Rice is rich in starch or carbohydrates, especially white rice. Excess carbohydrates in the body get converted into fats, this is the reason we put on weight immediately after eating rice. This is because the body gets loaded with sugar that comes from the breakdown of starch present in rice. Rice is also the main reason for growing diabetes, as it causes a rise in blood sugar level, which can be difficult to bring under control for many. If you eat rice regularly then you must be physically active to burn the calories. However, it is also true that rice gives us instant energy, whenever we are hungry. We love to eat rice, as the calories are easy to breakdown by the body for an instant supply of energy. Now, there is a good news for you, you can eat rice without getting fat. Watch on this video to know how to cut on 60 percent of the calories from rice. Cook Rice With Coconut Oil. Boil rice and add 1 to 3 tablespoons of coconut oil in it. Keep the rice aside and wait until the water gets absorbed in it. Refrigerate the rice for 12 hours and then reheat it before consuming. How Coconut Oil Removes Calories From Rice. There are two types of starch in rice, one is digestible and the other is indigestible. The digestible starch is the main reason for weight gain. The starch that is digested gets absorbed into the blood and gets converted into fats. Indigestible Sugar In Rice. The indigestible starch present in rice is present in a lesser quantity and it is the starch that is not converted into fat. This is because this indigestible starch is not digested and absorbed by the body. It just fills the tummy and remains as such in the stomach until it is excreted from the body Coconut Oil Converts Digestible Starch Into Indigestible Sugar. When coconut oil is added to rice, it reacts with the digestible starch and then gets converted to an indigestible sugar. This starch can not be broken down by the body, and thus does not contribute to weight gain. This reduces the calories in the rice by 60 percent. Benefits Of Indigestible Starch In Rice. There are many benefits of this indigestible starch in rice formed by adding coconut oil. This starch, also known as resistant starch, reduces the blood glucose level, prevents constipation, makes insulin to work better, improves digestion, makes you feeling full and burns the fat faster. All of this helps to reduce weight and prevents some common diseases. Use This Coconut Trick For All Starchy Foods. You can also eat other starchy foods, without getting fat, by adding coconut oil and by refrigerating the rice for 12 hours. Foods like pasta, potatoes, oats and cereals can also be cooked with coconut oil to reduce the calories in them. Filter The Water From Rice. Another easy way to reduce calories from rice is to strain the thick water from the boiling rice. Boil the rice as usual, and when the water thickens, throw it out. This water is rich in starch, and you can even see the water becoming very thick, which can be used as a glue due to its thick consistency. Video URL : https://youtu.be/VsIwJf4uHZI

Check out your kitchen and see what is lurking there. Many people have some or all of these nine foods you should never eat again if you want to reduce the chance of an early death. These foods taste better or make meal preparation easier, but they are worse in the long run due to their chemical content or lack of nutritional value. Frozen Meals Preservatives, processed salt and hydrogenated oils are very common in most frozen meals. For that reason, it is better to avoid them and their extreme lack of nutrients. If you are opting for frozen meals, try Amy’s or Organic Bistro – two brands that try to create truly healthy varieties. White Bread Refined flour and white bread are stripped of nutrients and are hard to digest. They also have been bleached and can contain chlorine and bromide that were used for that process. Skip the white bread and go for whole grains that contain vitamins and minerals. White Rice Most nutrients have been stripped from the rice when it is white rice. Brown rice is processed differently, absorbed more slowly and provides a more even energy level. White rice, even the fortified variety, does not provide nearly the same amount of nutrients. Microwaveable Popcorn The corn kernals used for microwave popcorn is genetically modified, and then processed salt and preservatives are added to improve its flavor. Add to that the fact that a chemical called diacetyl can destroy the lungs, and that is found in microwaveable popcorn. Avoid the disease and unhealthy chemicals in the bag and use organic kernals in a kettle instead. Cured Meat Hot dogs, bacon, deli meats and other meats available at the grocery store contain sodium nitrite and other chemical preservatives. These have been linked to both heart disease and cancer. It is better to opt for uncured meats. Energy Bars Energy bars include soy protein, refined sugars and hydrogenated fat, which are all things to avoid. Therefore, even though as a meal replacement it is supposed to help with weight loss, it can actually be bad for you. There are some brands that stick to natural ingredients, like PROBAR, Organic Food Bar and Zing. It still takes caution and some label reading to make sure they are worth consuming and will be healthy alternatives. Soy Milk Almost all non-organic soy is genetically modified and has lost a significant amount of the benefits gained from consuming soy. Hexane is a toxic chemical that can cause birth defects, issues with reproduction and even cancer. Non-fermented soy is high in estrogen and interferes with the natural hormone balance as well. Margarine The common misconception that butter and saturated fats are bad, but the true danger comes with the hydrogenated trans-fat known as margarine. Used in numerous processed foods, margarine is something to avoid. If you want to skip the butter and animal-based fats, opt for coconut oil or olive oil. Diet anything Artificial sweeteners like aspartame and sucralose are known to cause endocrine disruption, neurological issues and gastrointestinal problems. These are ingredients in diet products, along with chemical flavoring agents. These chemicals replace natural fat and other elements removed to reduce calories. A better way to eat is to stick to whole foods and those high in fat that were grown the natural way. Get a step by step diet plan that will get you ripped year round here… http://athleanx.com/x/diet-plan-for-ripped-muscle Everywhere you turn, people give out diet tips and advice for how to lose fat or build muscle fast. The problem is, most of that advice is terrible and will not help you to get to your goal any faster. As a matter of fact, many popular diet tips will do exactly the opposite of what they are supposed to be helping you to do. In this video, I cover four of the most popular diet and meal plan tips that need to be buried right here and now. Right off the bat, some will have you believe that eating fat makes you fat. That can’t be further from the truth. Eating fat, COULD make you fat if you eat in excess of your daily caloric maintenance levels just as eating too many carbs and protein can as well. The simple act of eating a fat molecule will not cause it to be stored as body fat in your body. In fact, nutritional fats are a necessary part of a healthy diet plan, with fat making up a portion of the surrounding layer of nearly every cell in your body. Next diet myth that needs to die is the concept that eating after 6PM at night is somehow going to make you fat. Again, it comes down to where you are at in your daily caloric intake in relation to your maintenance levels. If you are 800 calories below your daily caloric maintenance intake, eating these calories at 7 or 8 or even 10PM is not going to adversely affect you in your pursuit of getting a ripped six pack. The fact of the matter is, you are still at or below your level to maintain your current level of body fat and simply shifting the time at which you consume these calories does not change their thermal effect. That said, eating your meals too infrequently throughout the day can wreak havoc on your blood sugar levels. Having wildly unstable levels of blood sugar can lead to severe alterations in mood, focus and most importantly cravings. When you allow your cravings to build too significantly, you often find yourself in a position where you will grab foods that don’t align themselves with your healthy eating approach needed to get ripped and stay ripped as you build muscle. The next popular eating and diet tip that is dispensed all too often these days is the concept that you cannot build muscle if you are following a vegan or vegetarian meal plan. Why? There are plenty of protein options available to those following a meat and dairy free meal plan including quinoa, chick peas, and even pea protein powders that enable vegans to get adequate protein without having to follow a meat based eating plan. The total amount of protein needed to build new muscle is still a hotly debated topic however it has been shown to vary from individual to individual and could be far less than what you may have been told previously. Finally, there is a mistaken belief by some that taking supplements and fat burners will get you ripped. That is simply not the case if you refuse to also take your daily diet plan seriously. If you think that you can eat like garbage the whole day and simply pop a supplement and get lean, ripped abs you are wrong. That said, someone that is committed to eating healthy and then supplements their diet plan with workout and nutrition supplements is often able to get much faster results than those that don’t. A lot of the success of workout supplements has to do with their ability to help you remain consistent with your nutrition plan and stay accountable to it. Starting your day with a supplement that you are financially invested in will help you to be emotionally invested in the goals you set forth for getting ripped and muscular that you set when you initially purchased the supplement. The consistency that supplements provide in helping you to get in high quality nutrition in a portable and easy to prepare way is likewise priceless. As you can see, there are many workout and nutrition or diet myths that are popular and preventing you from getting abs and building muscle. Please Subscribe! ▶ https://goo.gl/ksfh7M Eggs, whether boiled, poached, or scrambled, they are a great way to start your day. These little orbs are a great source of protein and amino-acids. Proteins are the building blocks of life. Every cell in the human-body contains protein. The basic structure of protein is a chain of amino-acids. You need protein in your diet to help your body repair cells and make new ones. Eggs are one of the few foods with complete proteins, that is, they contain proper proportions of all nine essential amino acids required by the body. They are also packed with numerous vitamins and minerals including Vitamin-A, vitamin-B12, Vitamin-D, Vitamin-E, folate, selenium, choline, and others. Eggs are one of the highest protein breakfast options One of the key steps you can take to help manage their appetite throughout the morning is to ensure that their breakfast choice has enough protein. 2-eggs served with 2 slices of wholegrain toast contain at least 20g of protein, much of which is of ‘high biological value’ protein, which means it is easily used in the body. This means that choosing eggs for breakfast will give you at least 25% more protein than other popular breakfast choices. Here are few of the many Amazing Health Benefits your body receives If You Eat 2 Eggs at Breakfast For a Month 1.Eggs Raises the Good Cholesterol Eating eggs leads to elevated levels of HDL (High-density lipoprotein), which is also known as the “good” cholesterol. People who have higher HDL levels have a lower risk of heart disease, stroke and other health issues. According to one study, eating two eggs a day for six weeks increased the good-cholesterol level by 10-percent. 2.Can Help You lose That Extra weight Forget counting calories and cutting out carbs. The key to losing weight could be as simple as having 2-eggs for breakfast. Scientists have shown that those who start their day with poached, boiled or scrambled eggs can lose up to two-thirds more weight than others. The secret of the egg's success lies in its ability to make us feel full for longer than many other foods there-by consuming less calories. 3.Eggs help with brain development and memory. Choline, an essential nutrient found in eggs, stimulates brain development and function. It has also been linked with increasing memory-power and alertness 4.2 Eggs at breakfast can protect your eyesight. Two antioxidants, leutin and zeaxanthin, are present in eggs and have been linked to protecting eyes from damage related to Ultra-Violet exposure. They have also been associated with reducing the likelihood of developing cataracts in your old age 5.Strong Bones Hard-boiled eggs provide Vitamin-D to keep your bones and teeth strong. Vitamin-D promotes the absorption of calcium and regulates calcium levels in your blood. This process ensures that your skeleton gets the calcium it needs for strength and structure. You need 600 international units of Vitamin-D each day, reports the Office of Dietary Supplements. You get about 45 international units of Vitamin-D from one large hard-boiled egg. For more info: https://draxe.com/brown-rice-nutrition/?utm_campaign=Youtube-Sept-2015&utm_medium=social&utm_source=youtube&utm_term=rice Today I am answering the question, “Is rice healthy?” and explaining the difference between white rice and brown rice. My answer is that it really depends on you. I will show you the pros and cons of rice and go over what I believe is the healthiest rice today. There is a debate today about if you should consume rice or not: ⁃ The paleo diet community says to stay grain-free and therefore that rice is not healthy ⁃ Chinese medicine followers and vegans think rice can be an incredible superfood I believe there is validity to both but it depends on the person and the preparation of the rice. Rice to stay away from: Refined White Rice (This is not jasmine or basmati rice but the sticky white rice from fast food or Chinese restaurants.) Rice Cons: • Fiber, minerals and vitamins have been removed. • Study shows that people are twice as likely to develop diabetes as opposed to those eating whole grain brown rice. • Contains phytic acid (enzyme inhibitor) which keeps you from absorbing and digesting vitamins and minerals. • Contains proteins that are difficult to digest Rice Pros: • Whole grain brown rice is high in B3 which is good for heart health. • Whole grain brown rice is high in selenium which supports the thyroid and kidneys. • Certain types of rice contain GABA, a neurotransmitter that can support the brain and help reduce anxiety as well as support metabolism. So ... is rice healthy? Is brown rice healthy? It depends on how it is prepared. I believe if rice is soaked and sprouted, it unlocks the vitamins and minerals versus most rices that aren’t sprouted. I personally consume an organic rice from the company, True Roots. It is a germinated brown rice (soaked and sprouted) which kills off phytic acid and is easier to digest. In Chinese medicine, look up “qi” or “chi.” They believe that short grain brown rice increase your body’s “qi” which is your body’s life source and energy. It is considered to be one of the #1 healing foods. I suggest my patients make a “congee” with chicken bone broth, brown rice and vegetables such as carrots and celery. This chicken vegetable rice soup is healing and nourishing to the body. In conclusion, is rice healthy? Yes, it can be if you are doing sprouted rice that is traditionally prepared. Simply put, stay away from white refined rice that is void of vitamins and minerals and can cause a spike in your blood sugar and insulin levels. *This content is strictly the opinion of Dr. Josh Axe, and is for informational and educational purposes only. Proteins are the building blocks of body tissue, and even give the body the energy it needs to grow and develop properly. When protein is digested, it breaks down into amino acids. The Institute of Medicine says that women need at least 46 grams of protein a day, and men need at least 56 grams a day. Here are the top 10 sources of protein for vegetarians 1. Greek Yogurt Greek yogurt, which has the whey strained out of it, is a great source of protein. A 6-ounce cup of Greek yogurt has 15- 20 grams of protein. That’s much more than regular yogurt, which has about 9 grams of protein. This probiotic food also has a lot of vitamins and minerals. Eating Greek yogurt all the time will help your digestive system stay healthy, boost your immune system, help with weight loss, stop high blood pressure, lower bad cholesterol, and fight yeast infections. 2. Lentils Lentils is another good choice for protein. But they are not a full protein food because they don’t have all nine important amino acids. One cup of boiled lentils has 18 grams of protein. There are many good health reasons to eat lentils. They give energy, lower the risk of heart disease, help keep a normal body weight, and keep the digestive system healthy. 3. Edamame Edamame is a full protein food, important amino acids you need in your diet. One cup of cooked edamame has 17 grams of protein. Edamame beans have fiber, vitamins, minerals, and healthy polyunsaturated fats, especially omega-3 alpha- linolenic acid. They are also naturally gluten- free and don’t have a lot of calories. 4. Kidney Beans Kidney beans are another great source of protein. One cup of boiled kidney beans has 15 grams of protein. They have all nine amino acids, but they are not a full protein because they don’t have a lot of methionine, a proteinogenic amino acid. Kidney beans have a lot of fiber, folate, magnesium, potassium, zinc, and vitamins K and B6. They are also low in fat and cholesterol. 5. Tofu Tofu is a soy milk product, and is also a good source of protein. ½ a cup of tofu has 10 grams of protein. It has eight important amino acids and a lot of iron and calcium. It also has manganese, selenium, phosphorus, magnesium, copper, zinc and vitamin B1. 6. Chia Seeds Another good source of protein for vegetarians is chia seeds. Two tablespoons of chia seeds will give you 9.4 grams of protein. They are also one of the best plant sources of omega-3 fatty acids. Chia seeds can help with digestion, treat anemia, give you energy, control blood sugar, stop aging signs, and boost brainpower. 7. Quinoa Quinoa has all nine important amino acids, and is a full protein source. One cup of cooked quinoa has 8.14 grams of protein. Quinoa also has fiber, iron, potassium, magnesium, phosphorus and folate. Eating quinoa every day can lessen swelling and lower your risk of type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease and colon cancer. It can also help your digestion and help you keep a healthy body weight. 8. Soy Milk Soy milk is used instead of milk by a lot of vegans and people who are lactose intolerant and cannot drink milk. It is full of protein and has vitamins A, B12, and D. One cup of soy milk has 8 grams of protein. 9. Green Peas One of the best sources of vegetable protein is green peas, or any peas for that matter. Green peas also have fiber, potassium, magnesium, iron, zinc, folate, and vitamins B, C, A, and K. They are also low in calories. One cup of cooked green peas gives you about 8 to 10 grams of protein. Green peas can help lower the risk of heart disease, arthritis, and type 2 diabetes. 10. Learn more about why you should stop using canola oil immediately here: https://draxe.com/canola-oil-gm/ Do you know that you probably have rancid oils sitting on the shelf in your pantry? These oils are found in abundance in the grocery stores because they are cheap to produce, but the reality is these oils are harmful for our bodies, and I recommend you stop eating them immediately. The fats in these oils are exposed to light and air, which oxidizes the fat and turns them rancid. The oil is then boiled to remove most of the solvent. The high heat and pressure destroy antioxidants and alter the chemical nature of the fat, creating dangerous free radicals. In this episode of Ancient Medicine Today, I share the side effects of eating these dangerous oils as well as five better oil options that are beneficial to our bodies. For more info: https://draxe.com/peanut-butter-nutrition-facts/?utm_campaign=Youtube-Jan-2015&utm_medium=social&utm_source=youtube&utm_term=peanutbutter Is peanut butter bad for you? The answer is yes and no. It depends on how much you consume, the variety of nut you’re eating, and what the rest of your diet looks like. To put it simply, peanut butter can be harmful because peanuts are high in omega-6 fats, which causes inflammation. We do not consume enough omega-3 fats, which reduce inflammation. Secondly, peanuts are grown on the ground and can develop mold, which can be a factor in a lot of kid’s allergy developments today. If you want to eat your peanut butter and still be healthy, here are some tips. When you’re buying peanuts, make sure you’re buying a certified organic brand, usually Valencia or Jungle peanuts, which are grown on bushes higher up from the ground, avoiding mold. Additionally, adding flax seed oil or fish oil supplements to your diet to increase your level of omega-3 fats is important. Consuming peanut butter can be part of a healthy diet if you’re consuming it with the right type of foods. Peanuts are one of the highest forms of plant-based proteins available today, as well. So, if you buy organic, jungle peanuts and you’re consuming a lot of omega-3 fats in your diet, then it can be healthy to consume peanut butter. However, the biggest problem with peanut butter today is that 99% of peanut butters contain hydrogenated oils, are non-organic, and people are consuming too many omega-6 fats. For this reason, peanut butter is not good for you and can cause weight gain and inflammation. If you want to learn more about inflammation, check out this article: http://draxe.com/turmeric-benefits/ Omega 3 fat article: http://draxe.com/omega-3-benefits-plus-top-10-omega-3-foods-list/ Chia seed article: http://draxe.com/ancient-superseed-chia-increases-energy-and-metabolism/ *This content is strictly the opinion of Dr. Josh Axe, and is for informational and educational purposes only. It's free and very enlightening. Dr. Berg discusses the difference between whole wheat bread and white bread. There is not much difference between the two. Ezekiel bread is better, but if you're trying to lose weight, hold off. Both white and whole wheat both have the same glycemic index rating. Both will also increase your bad cholesterol. The gluten that creates so many problems are also in both. Dr. Eric Berg DC Bio: Dr. Berg, 51 years of age is a chiropractor who specializes in weight loss through nutritional and natural methods. And this false information and myth all started in the 1950’s by a guy named Ancel Keys. He basically did a study of 6 countries in which higher saturated fat intake equated to higher rates of heart disease. Unfortunately, like most studies that are skewed, he purposely ignored and DELETED data on the 16 other countries that didn’t fit his theory. Countries where high saturated fat intake showed very little heart disease. And also countries with very little fat that showed HIGH rates of heart disease. However, once his paper was published and he was on the cover of Time magazine, the medical industry changed and saturated fats became the devil. Sadly, new,... supposedly “healthier” fats emerged -- such as sunflower, corn, soybean and cottonseed oils…. And margarine, let’s not forget about this junky fat. Ironically, THESE fats have contributed more to heart disease, heart attacks and strokes than most other foods and certainly a lot more than saturated fats. And this is because these so-called “healthy” fats are high in inflammatory omega 6 fats. Plus, when heated, the fat molecule oxidizes, changes structure, becomes hydrogenated and basically, TOXIC to your body. These vegetable and seed fats are NOT designed to be heated, while saturated fats are. Yet, a major meta-analysis of 21 studies with almost 350,000 adults, revealed no difference in the risks of heart disease and stroke between people with the lowest and highest intakes of saturated fat.1 And there are other, major studies showing similar results.2,3 Simply stated, eating saturated fats does NOT cause heart disease! Eat More Saturated Fats Actually, the truth is that eating saturated fats can actually help prevent heart disease. This is because they reduce levels of Lipoprotein (a) [LP(a)], which has a very strong correlation to heart disease.4-6 Improved Cardiovascular Risk Factors What’s interesting is that currently there are no drugs that lower Lipoprotein (a), but saturated fats do! Again, nature already has the solutions - NOT pharmaceutical companies! Additionally, eating saturated fats helps increase your “good” HDL cholesterol (lipoprotein). That’s a double positive bonus! And there are other benefits too. Weight Loss Saturated fats, especially coconut oil, can help you lose fat by increasing your metabolism and thyroid. Healthier Brain The brain is made largely of fat and the majority of the fat in the brain is saturated. Healthier Liver Saturated fats also encourage the liver cells to dump their fat content - this is a primary step in stopping that unhealthy and ugly belly fat. Additionally, saturated fat has been shown to protect the liver from the toxicity of alcohol and medication drugs. Stronger Bones They also help make your bones stronger, especially in women. Vegetable oils do the opposite and cause osteoporosis. Stronger Immune System Saturated fats, especially coconut oil is amazing for your immune system. The myristic and lauric acid have antibacterial and antifungal qualities for your gut. In fact, these are also found in high amounts in human breast milk as a potent germ-killing ability for the baby. Healthier Lungs For proper function, the airspaces of the lungs have to be coated with a thin layer of what’s called lung surfactant. The fat content of lung surfactant is 100 percent saturated fatty acids. Replacement of these critical fats by other types of fat makes faulty surfactant and potentially causes breathing difficulties (such as asthma) and inflammation Healthier Skin Saturated fats, especially coconut also reduces inflammation, hydrates the skin and increases collagen - all of which are needed for healthier, more youthful skin. ======================================== Thank you for watching. It's an "upgraded" coffee drink intended to be used as a replacement for breakfast. The Bulletproof Coffee recipe is as follows... 250-500ml coffee using filtered water 2 tablespoons grassfed butter 1-2 tablespoons MCT oil The supposed benefits of Bulletproof Coffee are that it improves cognitive function and increases fat loss due to the CLA content of the butter and the thermogenic/appetite suppressing effect of the MCT oil. But is Bulletproof Coffee healthy and/or effective for losing fat? Here are 3 reasons why Bulletproof Coffee is a bad idea... 1) Bulletproof Coffee is very high in total calories and fat relative to its volume. Each cup contains 450 calories and about 50 grams of fat. If your goal is to lose fat, then you need to be maintaining a calorie deficit over time by burning more calories than you consume. Waking up and downing 450 calories and 50 grams of fat in liquid form is not going to be conducive to maintaining a calorie deficit since it's very calorie dense and won't fill you up. There is also no conclusive evidence to show that CLA or MCT oil have any significant fat burning effects in humans. Even if they did, the effect would be very modest and wouldn't come anywhere near offsetting the 450 calories in the Bulletproof Coffee itself. 2) Bulletproof Coffee is very low in essential nutrients. Aside from a small amount of vitamin A and K found in the butter, each cup is basically devoid of any real nutritional benefit. If you're using this as a replacement for one of your daily meals, then you'll probably be stripping away anywhere from about 20-30% of your daily nutrient intake assuming you're following a standard fat loss diet somewhere in the 1500-2500 calorie range. 3) Bulletproof Coffee is very high in saturated fat. This isn't guaranteed to be a problem, but the health effects of very high saturated fat intake are still not known, and given that Bulletproof Coffee probably won't benefit you anyway, I can't see any reason to take the risk. All in all, Bulletproof Coffee is really nothing more than marketing hype and I'd highly recommend skipping the oil and butter and sticking to good old plain coffee instead. Hope you found this Bulletproof Coffee review helpful. P.S. Watch more How to Eat Healthy Food videos: http://www.howcast.com/videos/501145-Butter-v-Margarine-and-Butter-Substitute-Healthy-Food In the great butter vs. margarine debate, there are a few important things to keep in mind. The first is that butter actually has some healthy fat-soluble vitamins in it that can be beneficial if you're eating the right kind of butter. It is important to make sure that you're getting organic butter made from organic milk and dairy products. But butter is high in cholesterol and high in fat. So it's not a low-fat food, but it does have a few associated health benefits from it. Now margarine can be dangerous if it's made with trans fats. If it's made with hydrogenated oils, it is not good for your cardiovascular system. However, there are new trans-fat-free margarines that are dairy-free, so if you have an issue with a dairy allergy, some of those trans-fat-free margarines might be healthier for you. You can also now get soy-free, trans-fat-free margarines to help those of you who are soy and dairy intolerant. From a sodium standpoint, butter can be the better option. If you have a diet that you need to follow that's low in sodium, you might want to go with no-salt butter. There are very salty butters and most of the good trans-fat-free margarines are kind of high in sodium, so you might want to go with the low-sodium to unsalted butter. Other substitutes you can use are oils. Some people like to use olive oil on their bread instead of butter or margarine. Other people like to bake with oils like canola oil or even coconut oil instead of butter or margarine.

Get Dr. Berg's New Book on Keto and IF: https://shop.drberg.com/drbergs-new-body-type-guide Take Dr. Berg's Free Keto Mini-Course: http://pxlme.me/-i717vtY Dr. Berg talks about if its safe for menopausal women with adrenal fatigue to do ketosis and intermittent fasting. The answer is YES. The adrenals are normally supposed to help counter a drop in blood sugar and when you do intermittent fasting with adrenal issues, you could have a hard time because of the drop in blood sugars. The hormone called cortisol is what is called a glucocorticoid, which is a glucose regulating hormone. So the adrenals are definitely connected to blood sugars. Cortisol if too high can mobilize more sugar and even turn your body protein into sugar thus raising your insulin and even causes insulin resistance or diabetes. So in other words, if your cortisol is high, chances are you could also have high insulin. This means you need to do things to lower insulin - keto and intermittent fasting! Here are some tips: 1. Take electrolytes to increase potassium and other minerals 2. B vitamins (nutritional yeast) 3. Sea salt - the adrenals need more sodium, because they lose more. 4. Trace minerals, esp, chromium and zinc. 5. More protein 6. Omega 3 (Krill is great) 7. Take long walks 8. Go slow - go at this gradually and eventually you'll be in full keto adaptation and no longer running only on glucose (avoid the blood sugar swings). Hi guys, in this video we are going to talk about is it safe for a menopausal women with adrenal fatigue to do keto and intermittent fasting. There are some confusion about this things that are floating out there that says it is dangerous and don’t do keto and intermittent fasting if your adrenals are stressed especially if you are going through menopause but it is the exact thing that you need to do but you need to do it correctly. The problem is that when you get into your 40’s to 60’s, the adrenal gland takes over and backs up the ovary so you actually put more stress on the adrenal gland so it has a hard time countering this drop in blood sugar as you go longer between three meals when you do intermittent fasting. The blood sugars are not able to rebound like you should so you feel dizzy and weak and all of the sudden you eat and feel better. It just means that we need to strengthen the adrenals and tweaks some things. Eat These 7 Foods to Cleanse Your Arteries & IMPROVE ARTERIES HEALTH. The No. 1 killer on the planet is heart disease, which accounts for one in four deaths, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. What makes heart disease so deadly is the progressive buildup of plaque in the arteries, which narrows the inner walls, restricting and ultimately blocking the flow of blood. Arteries are the blood vessels that deliver oxygen-rich blood from the heart to different tissues in the body. When plaque builds up and blood flow becomes inhibited, these clogged or blocked arteries can lead to more serious problems such as heart attack, stroke and other cardiovascular diseases. So what can you do to keep your arteries healthy and free of blockage? Food can be used as a natural remedy to regress blockage and prevent further damage to your arteries. Here are 10 of the best foods you can eat to free your arteries of build-up. 1. Asparagus Asparagus is one of the best foods to cleanse your arteries. Full of fiber and minerals, it helps lower blood pressure and prevent blood clots that can lead to serious cardiovascular illness. It works within the veins and arteries to alleviate inflammation that may have accumulated over time. It boosts the body’s production of glutathione, an antioxidant that fights inflammation and prevents damaging oxidation that causes clogged or blocked arteries. It also contains alpha-linoleic acid and folic acid, which prevent hardening of the arteries. There are many great recipes for asparagus. Steam it, roast it, grill it and even eat it raw in salads. 2. Avocado Avocado helps reduce the “bad” cholesterol and increase the “good cholesterol” that helps to clear the arteries. It also contains vitamin E, which prevents cholesterol oxidation, as well as potassium, which is known to lower blood pressure. Avocados are a delicious replacement for mayo on a sandwich, or as a salad topping, and of course, in guacamole. 3. Broccoli Broccoli can prevent artery clogging because it is loaded with vitamin K, which prevents calcium from damaging the arteries. Broccoli also prevents cholesterol oxidation and is full of fiber, which lowers blood pressure and reduces stress. Stress can lead to tearing and plaque build-up of arterial walls. These little trees also contain sulforaphane, which helps the body use protein to prevent plaque build-up in the arteries. It is recommended to have two to three servings of broccoli per week for the maximum benefits. Broccoli is another versatile vegetable—it tastes great grilled, roasted or steamed and is a great side dish. 4. Fatty Fish Fatty fish—mackerel, salmon, sardines, herring and tuna—are rich in healthy fats, which can help to clear the arteries. Omega-3 fatty acids help to increase the “good” cholesterol while reducing triglyceride levels, decreasing blood vessel inflammation and the formation of blood clots in the arteries, and can even lower blood pressure. The American Heart Association (AHA) recommends people eat fish at least twice per week to reduce plaque build-up. Baked and grilled fish are the most optimal for heart health. 5. Nuts Instead of reaching for the cookie jar, try a healthier alternative—nuts. Almonds are the best choice because they are high in monounsaturated fats, vitamin E, fiber and protein. The magnesium in almonds also prevents plaque formation and lowers blood pressure. Walnuts are another good source of omega-3 fatty acid, which will reduce “bad” cholesterol and raise “good” cholesterol levels, which in turn lowers the risk of plaque build-up in the arteries. The AHA recommends three to five servings per week (one serving is equivalent to a handful). Nuts also make a great salad topper. 6. Olive Oil Olive oil is rich in monounsaturated oleic acid, an essential fatty acid that lowers “bad” cholesterol and raises “good” cholesterol. Rich in antioxidants, it is one of the healthiest oils to use in cooking or for dressings. Use olive oil instead of butter and drizzle over salad or pasta. It is recommended to choose 100 percent organic virgin olive oil for maximum health benefits. 7. Watermelon This summertime favorite is a great natural source of the amino acid L-citrulline, which boosts nitric oxide production in the body. Nitric oxide causes the arteries to relax, decreases inflammation and can help lower blood pressure. Watermelon also helps to modify blood lipids and lowers belly fat accumulation. Learn about how it works! http://www.thomasdelauer.com How does whey protein affect insulin and fat loss? Isn't whey a protein, not a carb?? Effect of Whey Protein on Insulin Whey is one of the two main proteins in milk - the other is casein. Whey, like all proteins, is made up of amino acids, the building blocks of protein. When we consume protein, we then break down these amino acids and use them for muscle growth and tissue repair. Whey contains all three BCAAs along with all of the essential amino acids. Whey is highly insulinogenic - consuming whey leads to a sharp increase in insulin levels. This response does not have to do with blood sugar levels - when a food has a high glycemic index, consuming it will cause a large increase in blood sugar levels. In response to this, the body produces insulin to combat the high blood sugar and allow glucose to enter our cells for energy. This is not what is happening when we consume whey - insulin release is responding to amino acids, not glucose levels. Insulin binds to cells to allow them to take up energy, which can be glucose or amino acids from proteins. The amino acids in whey cause an insulin release. Whey also leads to the release of GIP and GLP-1, two gastrointestinal hormones that also raise insulin levels. This increase in insulin is actually a good thing! Whey is a fast acting protein, and the spike in insulin allows amino acids into the muscle cells to encourage repair, helping us to gain muscle and heal quickly. Consuming whey protein has actually been shown to lower blood glucose levels when consumed during or directly before a meal. A 2005 study in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition found that when whey was combined in a high-sugar meal, individuals with type-2 diabetes had a lower blood glucose level following the meal than if no whey was consumed. This is thought to be because the increased insulin aided the body in glucose digestion. Generally, the better the whey, the higher the insulin spike and thus the more effective at delivering building blocks into the cells for the purpose or repair and growth. Best to consume whey directly following exercise. It is quickly broken down and made available to muscle cells for repair post workout. Whey protein isolate contains 90% protein and thus has less lactose, fat and cholesterol than whey protein concentrate. To get the most out of your protein, go for the whey protein isolate. You will experience less bloating and get more of the benefits - lean, ripped muscles. Too much protein is dangerous, so be sure not to consume excess protein. Excess protein can lead to increased fat storage and calcium loss, which can lead to osteoporosis. References: 1. Corn Flakes & Fruit Loops? If you’re like pffffff…Fruit Loops, that’s junk food, I eat healthy cereal like Corn Flakes and Special K. If that’s you, get ready to be surprised about what I’m going to say. FAIL! But YOU didn’t fail, the food manufacturer’s deceiving marketing hype has failed you. When I first started my journey, I also thought the packaged cereals were healthy. So I was upset, when I first learned what the ingredients inside these cereals were doing to my body. Let's be real. Food manufacturers in the cereal industry spend multi-millions of dollars every year trying to convince you that their cereal is healthy. What’s even more deceiving is, the nutrition label on these “healthy" cereals like Special K and Cornflakes may say they are “low fat” and “low sugar”. Here’s the deal. These cereals: - are filled with refined and processed carbohydrates - contain very little fiber - low in protein - have little to no healthy fat This combination is a perfect example of a food that will wreck havoc on your body’s fat burning hormones. Eating these cereals can cause hormonal imbalances, which can turn your body into a fat storing machine, even if the nutrition label says zero fat. The reason for this is the main ingredients in these cereals are higher glycemic carbohydrates like refined corn and wheat. During the refining process, most of the natural nutrients have been stripped from the grain. These processed ingredients are very high on the glycemic list and will quickly raise blood sugar levels. These carbohydrates then quickly enter the blood stream, thus requiring a large amount of the insulin hormone to remove the sugar from the blood. When large amounts of insulin is released by the body, if there is no room to store the sugar in the muscle cells, it gets stored in the fat cells. Hello to the new fatter and less healthy version of your old self. What’s even more startling are the high sugar cereals like fruit loops that are continuously being marketed to your kids. A survey found that some of the most popular kid’s cereal contains the same amount of sugar as a chocolate bar. I’m speaking to the whole refined cereal category. They’re a big reason why 1 in 4 children are overweight or obese with links to diabetes, high cholesterol, and heart disease. It’s time to make a change in your family’s diet, starting with the first thing you feed yourself. I know some of you just want a quick, healthy, and easy cereal option. So check out our recipes! Take Dr. Berg's Advanced Evaluation Quiz: http://bit.ly/EvalQuiz Your report will then be sent via email analyzing 104 potential symptoms, giving you a much deeper insight into the cause-effect relationship of your body issues. It's free and very enlightening. STUDIES: http://www.mdpi.com/2072-6643/9/5/517/htm https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2716748/ https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/16652223 Dr. Berg talks about if ketosis increases or decreases the risk of heart disease. In rodents, there was an increase in risk of getting cholesterol, increases LDL, decrease in HDL and increase in triglycerides. However, in humans, there was the opposite; a decrease in cholesterol, decrease in LDL, increase in HDL and decrease in triglycerides. In Rodents increase insulin, but in humans, it decreases insulin, decrease blood sugar as well as decrease A1C. I have another question from someone, does ketosis increase or decrease the risk of heart disease. The study that I am going to post down below is very interesting because they compared the study from rodents versus humans. When they put people on the ketogenic diet which is basically is more fat but the carbs are way down. Rodents increases cholesterol, increases LDL (bad cholesterol), decreases HDL (good cholesterol) and increases triglycerides. But in humans, decreases cholesterol, decreases LDL (bad cholesterol), increases HDL (good cholesterol) and increases triglycerides. This tells me that the inflammation and the problems in the artery are not an issue. Let’s talk about the pancreas, in rodents it increase insulin and in humans it decrease insulin, blood sugar and A1C because the main cause of the heart disease is high insulin and the ketogenic diet is designed to lower insulin. One little thing I am going to add is to make sure you are going to add intermittent fasting to then take it to the next level because that will also help you lower cholesterol even more and really make this numbers really good.
