The oil of St. John’s wort helps to stop pain and cure minor burns. Simply, apply this oil to the burn right after getting a burn. Get a clean bowl or basin and then soak the burned area. Mix equal parts of St. John’s wort flowers, arnica tincture, witch hazel bark, and chamomile flowers well. Then, add 5 drops of lavender oil and 2 tbsp. of cold water in this mixture. Next, soak a cloth in this mixture and gently put it on the affected area. Allow it to be on for 13 to 15 minutes before removing it from the skin. Repeat this process 1 or 2 times per day within 3 days. 4. St. John’s Wort Benefits On Health – Works as an Antidepressant:. Many studies show that St. John’s wort may help fight mild to moderate depression and anxiety and has fewer side effects than most other prescription antidepressants, such as loss of sex drive. However, it does interact with a number of medications, so it should be taken only under the guidance of a health care provider, especially if you already take medications for depression. In many studies, St. John’s wort uses seem to work as well as selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs), a popular type of antidepressant that doctors often prescribe first to treat depression, such as Prozac, Celexa and Zoloft. According to the University of Maryland Medical Center, researchers aren’t exactly sure how St. John’s wort works; some have suggested that the herb acts similar to a SSRI because it makes more serotonin, dopamine and norepinephrine available in the brain. These neurotransmitters help improve your mood and can be responsible for treating symptoms of depression. In studies using the rat forced swimming test, an animal model of depression, St John’s wort extracts induced a significant reduction of immobility. In other experimental models of depression, including acute and chronic forms of escape deficit induced by stressors, St John’s wort extract was shown to protect rats from the consequences of unavoidable stress. Herbs for Anxiety -- 2 Herbs that you Shouldn't use, & 2 Great Choices!

06:35
http://utahtexans.com/ Click on the link above for a free guide to shopping for dietary supplements. I think nearly everyone has suffered a little worry regarding future events, especially if you watch the news , but an anxiety disorder is when it lasts a long time and interferes with daily life. It's the most common mental health issue for adults in the United States. Women are also twice as likely to have it as men, perhaps because they worry about their kids more. Many health experts believe that anxiety sends a message to various organs putting them on high alert as a survival mechanism. The heart starts to beat very fast, there is a shortness of breath and muscles get tense, which can be helpful in certain situations. If someone 's body is constantly in high alert mode, there is a price to pay, just like if you partied really hard for four days straight. Besides the mental toll of not being able to focus, difficulty sleeping and potential alcohol and drug use, cardiovascular problems can take place. According to the Women's Health Initiative a study involving over three thousand patients showed that if a person had a history of panic attacks it tripled the risk of heart disease and strokes. Also a study done by Harvard showed that people who suffered from anxiety were twice as likely to suffer heart disease. Besides cardiovascular problems, panic attacks and being stressed out over the future can hurt the digestive system. One of the best ways to deal with anxiety would be to talk to a good friend or family member. The next thing I would highly recommend would be to turn fears and frustrations into how to questions. This helps you think about the positive and what you can accomplish. Rather than let your thinking turn destructive. When it comes to herbal remedies to treat anxiety there are more choices than there are nations in the world. First I'm going to go over a few popular herbs for this disorder that I would not recommend. The first is something known as Kava and it's from the south pacific. Basically it damages the liver and many countries have banned it. Next is St. John's wort. The reason I don't recommend it is because it raises blood pressure, which can lead to brain damage and it increases the chance of sunburns, skin cancer and hurts men with lovemaking. For herbs that I do recommend for this disorder the first one that comes to my mind would be omega 3 fats, ginkgo biloba, and there are many more. You can learn more in a free guide I created. Before you do start to buy supplements for your health there are some dangers with these products. A major danger is that the industry is sort of like the Wild West in U.S. history. This really means supplement companies can do whatever they want and there aren't many laws to protect the innocent. In fact every year hundreds of supplements get banned from being sold because of problems. More bad news is that there is not that much good information to help consumers when it comes to choosing these products. Sure a supplement company can say whatever it wants on the label, but how do you really know that product contains the ingredients listed, and it's going to be helpful? The real answer is that you don't know. Don't get stressed out because I have some good news. I've put a lot of great information together in one single guide on the topic of shopping for dietary supplements. It can help a person avoid a supplement that is dangerous and provides tips on a getting a good choice. It helps a person choose herbal remedies for a variety of conditions including anxiety. It provides some online resource for help and explains the role of government agencies with supplements. I could have easily charged for this guide, but I decided to make it entirely free. So, take advantage of my work and view this guide by clicking on the link http://utahtexans.com/.

Find out what are the "best of the best"! Discover which herbs and supplements Dr. Sam Robbins, a leading natural health expert, recommends for Insomnia & Relaxation. http://drsam.co/yt/HerbsforInsomania-ProVanax ***********Best Herbs To Beat Insomnia & Get The Best Sleep Ever! ******************* There are literally dozens of natural supplements and herbs that “claim” to help relieve stress, reduce anxiety and panic attacks, decrease depression, improve your mood and help you sleep better. Have you noticed in life that some people tend generally just to be happy, positive people? They laugh more; they seem confident and hopeful about life. They can handle stressful situations well, and stay calm and cool. They are the “glass half FULL” people. In other hand, of course I’m sure you know some people who tend to be negative about life. They are critical and hopeless. They get stressed out quickly and have anxiety and panic attacks. They feel nervous in social settings. They worry a lot, have sleep problems, and tend to get depressed and “down”, more often than they like to admit. These are the “glass half EMPTY” people. What is the real cause – nature or nurture? The science has proven that over 50% of “happiness” is based on your GENETICS! Don’t worry, there is hope, and you can easily do it! There are 3 primary hormones and neurotransmitters we want to control (Dopamine, Serotonin and Cortisol), which can help make dramatic improvements in your mood, happiness, and sense of well-being. There are specific herbs, vitamins, and amino acids that do work in improving their levels, which results in improvement in both mental and physical well-being. The most effective natural remedies that are clinically proven to work quickly and safely for long-term usage: 1. Phenibut - increases Dopamine and reduces Cortisol (“stress hormone”) 2. 5-HTP – increases Serotonin (“happy hormone”) 3. St. John's Wort – a natural antidepressant 4. Passion Flower & Valerian Extract – creates natural calmness. 5. Inositol, Magnesium and L-Taurine 6. L-Theanine – which is found in green tea, helps reduce stress and Cortisol levels. 7. Phosphatidylserine, Ashwagandha and Vitamin C – reduce the stress hormone, Cortisol. 8. GABA – helps “calm” your nervous system and creates relaxation. These individual ingredients work much better when combined together because there is a special “synergy”, which creates better results without any negative side-effects. Forget about using anti-anxiety or anti-depression drugs, Let’s Do This Naturally! If you want to try something natural that works quickly - Try ProVanax™ who contains all of these key ingredients, in one simple pill. 10 NATURAL REMEDIES TO QUIT SMOKING

08:14
10 NATURAL REMEDIES TO QUIT SMOKING Smoking can be considered one of the leading causes of death in this country, due to the huge amount of health issues in which is has a hand in creating. There is never a bad time to stop smoking because your lungs will immediately begin to repair the damage the cigarette smoking has caused. There are many ways to stop smoking, including the use of medication. If you are looking for a more natural way to stop smoking, you may want to consider several home remedies. 1. Oats Oats are a heart healthy food that is high in fiber, omega-3 fatty acids, potassium, and folate. Eating oats can help lower levels of bad cholesterol and keep arteries clear, which helps to lower risk of heart disease. They also contain chemicals called avenathramides that can reduce stress, strengthen the nervous system, fight free radials, and combat high blood pressure. All of these benefits can be crucial for smokers who are at a higher risk for heart disease. Oats can also directly help smokers quit. An extract derived from green oats can ease withdrawal symptoms and help to decrease cigarette cravings. 2. Cayenne Pepper Among many other things, cayenne pepper is an excellent remedy to help quell the cravings for a cigarette. It desensitizes the respiratory system to tobacco and chemical irritants thereby thwarting the cravings for cigarettes. Ensure to take the spice daily; add a couple of pinches to your glass of water to really benefit from its effects. 3. Ginseng It has been shown to prevent the nicotine-induced release of the neurotransmitter dopamine. Of course dopamine is what makes people feel better after smoking which is part of the nicotine addiction process. a teaspoon of ginseng powder added to your breakfast cereal or morning health shake should help alleviate the number of cravings. 4. St. John’s Wort Primarily used to treat depression, there is some research that this medicinal herb helps people quit smoking. In one pilot study, 24 people who smoked 1 or more cigarettes a day received St. John’s wort (450 mg capsule 2 times a day) plus smoking cessation counseling. After 12 weeks, 37.5% or 9 out of 24 people had quit. 5. Herbal Cigarettes Herbal cigarettes can replace regular cigarettes and help break the addiction. Smokers become used to reaching for a cigarette in certain situations and at specific times during the day. Sometimes a cigarette is about familiarity or comfort more than nicotine. Herbal cigarettes contain fewer chemicals and carcinogens in regular cigarettes. The main benefits of herbal cigarettes are that they are not addictive. These cigarettes contain zero nicotine. They are made with herbs such as mint, cinnamon, clover, cornsilk, licorice or lemongrass. They also have some carcinogens so they should only be used as a short-term aide to break the nicotine habit and not long-term. 6. Lobelia This herb has been promoted to help people fight the effects of nicotine withdrawal and is found in many anti-smoking products. The active ingredient in lobelia, lobeline, is thought to have similar actions on the body as nicotine. Further research has shown that lobeline may increase levels of the neurotransmitter dopamine in the brain similar to cigarettes. 7. Hyssop Has the ability to help with clearing mucus congestion in the lungs associated with COPD. It also has been known to alleviate the anxiety and even hysteria that is sometimes associated with smoking withdrawal. 8. Valerian One of the premier sedative herbs used to aid people with anxiety, stress, and insomnia. Valerian also acts as a muscle relaxant. Valerian is clearly one of the herbs of choice in smoking cessation to deal with the issues of insomnia, restlessness, and anxiety. Repairing the Damage Once you have successfully broken free of the addiction, it is essential to repair the damage that has been caused by smoking. Regardless of what you may hear, the damage is reversible through proper diet, exercise, meditation , and adequate sleep. Never let this leave your mind, as we all have the power to overcome. Smoking destroys vitamin C in the body – an important antioxidant. As a result it is important to increase your vitamin C intake to anywhere form 5000 – 20000 mg daily. This will help reduce some of the oxidative stress smoking has caused. Further to this, Vitamin E and A are also essential for repairing the damage done to your cells and mucus membranes. Another important mineral to consider taking is coenzyme Q10. This is yet another powerful antioxidant that helps protects the lungs and heart, while increasing oxygen to the brain.
Fast and Permanent OCD Cure Found!

07:26
Learn about the OCD cure that can help you to get rid of OCD naturally in only a few weeks. Here's how to stop OCD thoughts permanently... Hey YouTube, I'm Ryan, and I've suffered from OCD and anxiety disorders ever since I was in my early teens. This video is for anyone who suffers from OCD, PTSD, phobias, panic attacks, constant and intrusive unwanted thoughts, agoraphobia or anxiety disorders of any kind. No matter how great or small your symptoms, fears or emotional pain, I truly hope you'll take this video to heart. You're not alone, it is currently estimated that 40 million people in the U.S. alone have these problems. My OCD made me feel like I had to do things a certain amount of times, or in a specific order, or else something horrible would happen. It didn't matter how illogical it was, I would even think to myself “This is so crazy”, but it didn't matter, the fear, the horrible thoughts and the terrible feelings were to strong. It seemed like I just couldn't shut them off, no matter how hard I tried. I also had to re-check things, like shutting of the gas burners on the stove, just to make sure that I had done them. Even though I remembered just having done it (I could even see it in my head from five minutes before) I just had to go back into the kitchen again to make sure that I shut them off. This was the case with turning off the water, locking car doors, and countless other things. Another problem that I had was that I had to redo little meaningless things over and over again until they, well, clicked right. I don't mean clicking literally, that's just how I describe it, they had to sort of “feel” right. If the lid on the coffee didn't close right, or a door didn't shut right or something wasn't done the “right” way, I had to stop and do it over and over, until it did. And I had constant negative thoughts and feelings, that just seemed like they wouldn't ever leave me alone. I was living in a constant state of either depression, fear or panic. Anything could trigger those thoughts and feelings, ads on the TV, overhearing people talking, a bad memory, you name it. Over the years I tried everything I could to cure myself, starting with prescriptions for several different medications, psychiatrists visits and things like “talk therapy”. Not only did none of them cure my problems, some of them even made them worse. And after a while, those treatments were costing me hundreds of dollars a month. Not to mention the side effects, some of the many prescription side effects I had were nausea, diarrhea, migraine headaches, insomnia and fatigue, just to name a few. I had finally had it with so called “modern” medicine, so I decided to try any natural or 'out of the box' treatments that I could find. I tried hypnosis tapes and in person hypnotherapy, yoga, ti chi, meditation, changing my diet several times and all the natural herbal remedies like St. John's wort, 5 HTP and many others. But none of these did much, if anything, to cure me of my symptoms. I started trying to learn everything I could about OCD, panic attacks and anxiety and stress disorders. I stayed up all night reading books, medical publications, trade journals and health magazines, anything that I could get my hands on regarding anxiety and panic disorders. I found out that All anxiety disorders: Including OCD, PTSD, phobias, panic attacks, constant and intrusive unwanted thoughts, agoraphobia and all other anxiety disorders are all caused by the exact same thing, Part of your brain, called the amygdala, controls your fight or flight responses, and all anxiety disorders stem from this switch being left in the on position. This has now been confirmed by recent university studies as the cause of panic attacks and anxiety disorders. Some things can make your symptoms worse like eating the wrong foods, stress, memories and triggers, but the root cause is both behavioral and emotional, not chemical. That's why prescription medications only ever treat the symptoms of your disorder and not the root causes. It's no wonder traditional medicine wasn't helping me at all. I spent months researching OCD, panic attacks and PTSD online. I was just trying to learn everything I could, I was desperate to try anything, to just find something that might work. I finally found this guide online that had helped thousands of people to not only feel better, but stay completely free of any and all anxiety disorders for life. At first I didn't really take it too seriously, but after hearing story after story about people who had actually confused their doctors by becoming completely free of their disorders, and no longer needing any medication or treatment at all I got really interested. These people had cured their OCD, PTSD, panic attacks, all different anxiety disorders. Once I heard that I decided I had to at least give it a try. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G9nPBmGXbcE

Be sure to always tell your doctor and pharmacist about any herbal supplements you are taking. There are common herb interactions you should be aware of to ensure your safety. Ginkgo biloba, ginseng, feverfew, pure licorice, ginger, garlic, and kava kava are blood thinners so don't take them with blood thinners such as warfarin, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, and aspirin. Ginkgo biloba can hamper the effectiveness of anti-seizure medications and the effects of insulin. Also, it should not be combined with thiazide diuretics or antidepressants. Saint John's Wort shouldn't be combined with antidepressants; seizure medications; sedatives; oral contraceptives; heart, anti-HIV, and cancer medications; diabetic medications; and any drugs given after a rejected organ transplantant, because it can interfere with the effectiveness of each. Pure licorice may offset the actions of immunosuppressive drugs, reverse the effects of blood-pressure medications, worsen the side effects of the heart medication digoxin, and should not be taken with diuretics due to potassium depletion. Ginseng may cause headaches, tremors, and manic episodes in patients taking certain antidepressants. Ginger can interfere with cardiac, diabetes, or blood pressure drug therapy. Garlic, outside of general seasoning, should be avoided if you're on any anti-HIV or diabetes medication. Kava kava and valerian root can amplify the effects of sedatives, so avoid combination with alcohol or any other sedative drugs. Keep well informed on the herb-drug combinations you should avoid. Top 10 Best Medicinal Herbs - For Health & Vitality

17:34
Medicinal Herbs (n) – plants with culinary or medicinal use; this may refer to any part of the plant – including bark, root, flower, and seeds. Humans have used medicinal plants for over 70,000 years to help preserve food, enhance flavor, and provide other health benefits. There are literally thousands of medicinal herbs and plants. In today’s video, we’ll cover some particularly popular (and very beneficial) medicinal herbs for improving your health. All of the medicinal plants we'll cover today have strong research backing. Hippocrates once said, “Let food be thy medicine.” We believe his words are true. Today’s video will help you take action on that sage advice. Broadly speaking, there are two main groups of medicinal plants and herbs – 1) culinary herbs (those that we commonly use for cooking) and 2) medicinal herbs (those that we don’t cook with often yet are very beneficial for our health). Many culinary herbs are very medicinal (example: ginger, basil, rosemary) Here are some very popular culinary herbs that are also medicinal: -Basil: powerful antioxidants -Rosemary: great for memory -Thyme: boosts immune system -Oregano: strong antimicrobial Culinary medicinal herbs are typically safe in large doses – hence why humans have learned to incorporate them into our food. Many medicinal herbs are very powerful and should be used with caution. Two examples of powerful medicinal plants are St. John’s Wort (a powerful anti-depressant with lots of different interactions with drugs) and Kava (a powerful anti-anxiety and pain-relieving herb that’s toxic in high doses). Our goal is to cover 10 medicinal herbs for beginners that have great safety profiles and are also very beneficial. ** Medicinal Herb #1: Ginger ** Ginger is a natural anti-inflammatory. It also helps relieve symptoms of nausea. ** Medicinal Herb #2: Lavender ** Lavender is a great relaxing herb that is best taken as an essential oil at night. Research shows that Lavender improves sleep and mood. ** Medicinal Herb #3: Garlic ** Garlic is one of nature’s best heart health herbs. Garlic lowers triglycerides and cholesterol. ** Medicinal Herb #4: Tea Tree ** Tea Tree (best used as a topical essential oil) is one of nature’s best anti-microbial herbs. Research shows that Tea Tree can kill antibiotic-resistant bacteria like methicillin-resistant staph (MRSA). ** Medicinal Herb #5: Peppermint ** Peppermint is a great herb to improve digestive health. ** Medicinal Herb #6: Cayenne ** Cayenne is a powerful herb for decreasing pain, slightly increasing your metabolic rate, and improving your circulation. ** Medicinal Herb #7: Echinacea ** Echinacea is a powerful herb for stimulating your immune system and preventing you from getting sick. ** Medicinal Herb #8: Dandelion ** Dandelion is a powerful herb for improving liver health (bile flow and supporting the liver’s natural detoxification functions). ** Medicinal Herb #9: Chamomile ** Like Lavender, Chamomile is a great relaxing herb for decreasing stress and promoting restful sleep. It’s best taken at night as a tea. ** Medicinal Herb #10: Turmeric/Curcumin ** I can’t really say enough good things about Turmeric. It’s perhaps the most versatile and powerful medicinal herb and plant on this entire list. Research supports Turmeric’s use as a powerful anti-inflammatory, anti-cancer, anti-oxidant, heart health & brain health promoter. Turmeric is one herb on this list that makes it into our “7 Essential Supplements” that we teach inside of our Fit Father 30X Program → https://goo.gl/HpvxLV Unfortunately, Turmeric is poorly absorbed when eaten as a spice (only about 10% of what you eat is actually absorbed), so we do recommend you supplement with a bio-available Turmeric daily. ** Bonus Medicinal Herb #11: Stinging Nettle ** Stinging Nettle is very useful in preventing allergies (it reduces histamine release). Using the seeds of the Stinging Nettle plant also helps improve free Testosterone levels in men. Take Home Message: Medicinal herbs and plants are powerful, and we definitely recommend you get as many herbs and spices from your foods as possible. Valerian health benefits anxiety, insomnia, depression

05:06
http://drtomobrien.ie/valerian-natures-tranquilizer/ Mental health today in Ireland is something that concerns all of us. We all suffer from depression, anxiety, insomnia and addiction at some level and at some time. Yes, its true, we do. Eckart Tolle suggests the biggest addiction of our time is addiction to thinking! Think about it ;-) The main discourse or approach to treating mental health is informed by the medical model. Your recommended to go to your GP (Doctor), who will most likely prescribe you anti-depressants, or anti-anxiety drugs. All of these drugs have limited outcomes and often leave people with nasty side effects. Herbal medicine is another pathway, to treat depression, anxiety and addiction. However it has been overshadowed and dominated by the power of the medical model that abaondoned natural healing in favor of the scientific model. Today we know that science is limited. It has its place, but so does nature. There are many herbs that can be used to treat the nervous system such as skull cap, valerian, St John's wort, passion flower and lemon balm to mention a few. Many of these herbs have been studies and show to be beneficial. However due to the power and influence of the pharmaceutical industry, it does not want people to believe that nature can heal because it sees people as consumers. Valerian is one of the most effective herbs that a herbalist can use to treat anxiety and stress. It was first used by Hippocrates the father of medicine. Valerian contains volatile oils valerine and valerenal. Valerian works by suppressing the central nervous system. Its actions are sedative, hypnotic, anti-spasmodic and carminative. Valerian is especially effective to reduce stress, tension and anxiety. It helps to improve sleep and over all well being. Valerian has also been found to be effective for improving heart health and can be used to treat irregular heart beat, high blood pressure, and palpitations. Valerian combines well with hawthorn, another great heart herb. Valerian is safe to use and non addictive. Treating the nervous system valerian combines well with skull cap, oat straw, mother wort, and passion flower. Contradictions and interactions: Do not use when pregnant, or if you are a lacating mother. Do not use if you suffer from liver disease or if your prescribed anti-anxiety medications. Always consult your herbalist when taking herbs or your doctor if changing your medications. This post is for information purposes only and herbs must be used under the supervision of a qualified herbalist. Empowering medicine is a holistic channel on Youtube, dedicated to teaching you about herbs and herbal medicine. 8 Herbs That Calm Your Mind - With Rosemary Gladstar

05:25
A few months ago, I had the honor of sitting down with the godmother of American herbalism, Rosemary Gladstar, at her magical home in Vermont. We filmed her as part of our upcoming documentary series on Plant Medicine… more on that in the coming months. Today, I'd love to share a quick video from our encounter with you. One of the questions I asked Rosemary was - what can we all do to overcome the stress and anxiety that seems to pervade our news and daily interactions these days? In other words, how do we keep ourselves peaceful, healthy and thriving in these chaotic times we find ourselves in? Her answer blew us away... In the clip below, Rosemary shares a handful of herbs that you can use to keep your body centered and at peace - including one slightly controversial plant if you’re feeling adventurous.  BUT, what struck us most about this segment was the deep wisdom that the legendary medicine woman dropped on us at the end. She gives us a dose of perspective that we can all put to use in our lives right now… In case you missed any of the stress-healing herbs Rosemary mentions in the video, here they are for further exploration: Kava (a rising star for anxiety) Lemon Balm Chamomile Valerian Hops Hawthorne St John’s Wort Oats

My Top 5 Anxiety Symptoms EXPLAINED!

11:27
Here are my top 5 anxiety symptoms Explained! I have done many videos over anxiety symptoms before, but have never given you my most common anxiety symptoms. I dealt with health anxiety, panic disorder, social anxiety, and depression. These anxiety disorders led to physical symptoms that scared me. #1 Anxiety symptom was chest pain. I dealt with everytype of chest pain due to anxiety and can blame most of it on muscle tension. Also Heartburn, GERD, Trapped Gas, and Workout pains could have been the other 10% of it. My health anxiety made the chest pain so much more scary. #2 symptom of anxiety was High blood Pressure. My blood pressure was always elevated to hypertension level especially during panic attacks. This led me to believe that a heart attack was always right around the corner. #3 anxiety disorder symptom was fast heart rate due to anxiety. My resting heart rate was always above 100 bpm and could easily shoot up to 200 bpm. My fast heart rate was usually accompanied with Tachycardia and Palpitations. #4 anxiety symptom was back pain! I would have knots in my back that would give a burning sensation. I would throw my back out often and wake up with terrible pain as well. My #5 Anxiety symptom was IBS and all it brings with it. I experienced trapped gas, stomach pains, nausea, cramping, consitapation, and diarreah. So there you have it! My top 5 anxiety symptoms explained in detail! So how do we overcome anxiety or beat anxiety? These are tips that you should be trying every single day to stop your anxiety! Dont skip any days and remember that there will still be bad days. Anxiety Headaches & Migraines - Symptoms and Relief

07:58
Anxiety can cause both headaches and migraines. Here I discuss Headache and migraine symptoms and relief to ease the pain. Anxiety causes muscle tension which can create different symptoms for different people. This muscle tension in the head and neck areas can cause a variety of symptoms including pins and needles, sharp stabbing pains, radiating pain, or dull aches. If you have health anxiety or panic disorder, headaches and migraines can be scary and painful. I was convinced that I was either having a brain aneurysm, stroke, or had brain cancer. This constant worry and added stress caused my headaches to get worst and the symptoms to amplify. For some quick headache relief or migraine relief, tylenol, drinking more water, and reducing bright screen exposure can help drastically. 80% of people are chronically dehydrated which can lead to headaches alone, but combined with anxiety, can be recipe for more headache or migraine symptoms. The key to overcoming the anxiety headaches or migraines is defeating and managing your ongoin stress and anxiety. This will bring long term relief and ease your symptoms. Make sure that you are eating a healthy diet, daily exercise, meditating, practicing positive thinking and affirmations, taking a multi vitamin, joining a support group, and drinking plenty of water. ***THERAPY IS ALWAYS A GOOD OPTION. Anxiety and Dizziness - Off Balance - Lightheaded Feeling

07:03
If you suffer from Anxiety and Stress you may have experienced spells of dizziness, being off balance, or had a lightheaded feeling. Dizzy spells are another common symptom of Anxiety, Stress, and Panic Attacks. Dizziness can be caused by hyperventilation and increased heart rate leading to extra oxygen in the body and brain. When you are under high anxiety or having a panic attack, the body releases stress hormones into the blood including adrenaline. These hormones are meant to help you in the flight or fight response. This can shunt off blood to certain areas of your body and can cause you to feel faint, dizzy, or lightheaded. Fatigue, lack of sleep, and diet can play a huge role in how dizzy you get. My dizziness was usually brought on during a panic attack and would make me nauseated. I remember feeling as though I would faint during an anxiety attack followed with being lightheaded and feeling off balance. Depersonalization & Derealization Symptoms with Anxiety

08:41
These are the symptoms of Depersonalization & derealization common with anxiety, stress, anxiety attacks, panic attacks, and traumatic experiences. They symptoms of of depersonalization and deralization include feeling detached from yourself, numb emotions, numbing of your senses or sensations, no sense of time, things do not seem real, you feel like you are watching yourself from afar or a distance. The symptoms of derealization are different for everyone and therefore the experiences will all be different. My depersonalization first occured when I was a child and would happen once every 6 months or so when looking out of the window of a car. When I had my first panic attack, the depersonalization was at an all time high and was a very scary experience. As time went on and I became normalized with 5-10 anxiety attacks with my panic disorder, I started to realize what was going on and became less scared. Aside from anxiety relief, cold showers could help with depersonalization relief. Make sure you are eating correctly, exercising daily, practicing positive thinking, and meditating in the mornings and evenings. Drink This Tea Every Morning To Treat Fibromyalgia Naturally

03:11
Fibromyalgia is a disorder that causes constant pain in several parts of the body. This disorder affects more women than men and is directly associated with fatigue, sleeping disorders, headaches, depression, and anxiety. Apart from overall pain, some other common symptoms are fatigue, memory loss, lack of concentration, bad headaches, painful menstrual periods, depression and anxiety. There are six foods that anyone with fibromyalgia should eat: - Cloves - Cabbage - Turmeric - Cayenne pepper - Sage - Ginger All of these foods contain substances that are excellent at treating fibromyalgia. The turmeric, the cloves and the ginger, for example, have powerful anti-inflammatory properties. One great home remedy to treat fibromyalgia is a juice made from cabbage and oranges. Cabbage is actually the secret ingredient because it’s rich in magnesium, a very important substance for your overall health. Just for you to understand how essential magnesium is for our body, it’s necessary for 300 different biochemical reactions in our bodies. Cabbage is also rich in vitamin B5 or pantothenic acid. Vitamin B5 helps several disorders such as hair loss, allergies, stress, anxiety, respiratory diseases, and heart diseases. Furthermore, this vitamin can help improve immunity, osteoarthritis, it lessens the signs of aging, increases resistance, fights infections, diabetes and skin diseases. And it even helps with mental problems such as anxiety and stress. Cabbage is also a great source of calcium, iron, phosphate, and vitamins A, B and C, which help tone muscles, strengthen bones, improve blood circulation, boost energy and detoxify your body. Here is how to make this recipe: Ingredients 1 cup of pure orange juice; 2 cabbage leaves. Instructions Blend the cabbage into the orange juice and drink it immediately. Don’t strain the juice. Drink this juice two times a day, one on an empty stomach and the other towards the end of the day. This home remedy should be taken daily, and it will take about a month to see some improvements. Saint John's Wort tea has relaxing properties and lessens the pain of fibromyalgia. Ingredients 1 teaspoon of St. Johns Wort leaves; 500 milliliters of water. Instructions Put the ingredients in a pot and bring them to a boil. Once it boils, turn off the stove and put the lid on the pot. Let it cool, strain it, and drink 3 to 5 cups a day. The Survivalist's Antidepressant with Laurence Galian

16:26
This video introduces a new antidepressant formula that you can make yourself at home for less than the price of Big-Pharma chemicals. This is not the same old advice about herbs, like St. John's Wort, that you have been hearing for years. This is a new, highly advanced and synergistic formula that really works. Natural strategies exist which can help to nourish and stimulate the brain to produce its' own internal "feel good" chemistry. This is a natural way to treat mental health problems like depression and erectile dysfunction. By correcting the imbalance naturally, you eliminate psychiatric symptoms for good without the use of long-term medications, which only cover up problems such as antidepressants. This is not some marketing scheme. This video contains all the information you need to make your anti-depressant today! Disclaimer, I am not a medical doctor. Video is for information purposes only. Always seek the advice of a physician with any unusual symptoms, especially if they persist. "Results of a survey reported on March 3, 2011 in Nutrition Journal reveal that the use of nutritional supplements is common among specialist physicians, and that they frequently recommend them to their patients. The Healthcare Professionals Impact Study surveyed 300 cardiologists, 300 dermatologists and 300 orthopedic surgeons concerning the type of supplements used and recommended. Participants were screened to ensure that none of them were affiliated with a pharmaceutical or dietary supplement company or had other conflicts of interest. Fifty-seven percent of cardiologists, 75 percent of dermatologists and 73 percent of orthopedists reported personal use, and supplements were recommended to patients by 72, 66 and 91 percent of these specialists, respectively. Only 25 percent of cardiologists, 17% of dermatologists, and 16% of orthopedists had never used nutritional supplements." The question then becomes, why aren't more psychiatrists utilizing supplements? Orthomolecular psychiatrists do; however orthomolecular psychiatrists are rare and very expensive. There exist many chemists, who clandestinely see many patients, but one must know of one, through a friend, etc. Therefore, through my extensive study of anti-depressants, as well as vitamins and supplements, I wish to educate people regarding their options with regard to actual cures for depression.

What drug combinations should I avoid?

There are certain drug combinations you should be cautious of; here are the most common. Aspirin should not be combined with blood thinners because, although it relieves pain, it also thins the blood, so the combination can lead to internal bleeding. Aspirin can also decrease the effectiveness of gout medications and increase the strength of some diabetes medications. When taking certain antibiotics you should know that antacids and other products containing calcium may decrease the effectiveness of your antibiotic. Also, some antibiotics can greatly decrease the effectiveness of birth control and blood thinners. If you're on antidepressants, don't mix newer antidepressants such as fluoxetine and paroxetine with older mood-lifters such as phenelzine, because it can increase blood pressure. Don't combine antidepressants with St. John's wort or migraine drugs because it can cause confusion, fever, high blood pressure, and tremors. Certain asthma medications, such as bronchodilators, should not be combined with antidepressant drugs or beta blockers, due to a risk of increased blood pressure and a loss of drug effectiveness. The effectiveness of diabetes medications such as glipizide and glyburide can be blocked by several drugs, including corticosteroids, hormones, diuretics, and antipsychotics. Other drugs that increase the effects of glipizide and glyburide, including blood thinners are: insulin, MAOIs, aspirin, and gout medicine. For heart medications, the common heart drug digoxin can lose effectiveness if combined with antacids. Their effects can be amplified by other drugs, including diazepam and antiarrhythmics. Nitrate heart drugs can trigger low blood pressure if taken with the erectile dysfunction drug Viagra, generally known as sildenafil. Also, the combination of the blood pressure medications, atenolol and reserpine can cause a slow heartbeat and lower than normal blood pressure. Please make sure your doctor and pharmacist are aware of all the medications you are taking, both prescription and over-the-counter. If you have any questions about the potential harmful drug combinations I spoke about, talk to your CVS pharmacist. We're here to help. Source: CVS Caremark Health Resources

Herbal remedies for a methadone detox

06:06
In Ireland methadone is sometimes called liquid handcuffs as users feel trapped and bound to their clinic and the life that surrounds collecting their methadone often on a daily basis. First thing is to remember if you are thinking about coming off any medications you should talk to your prescribing doctor first. The information in this video is for educational purposes only. And you should consult with a herbalist before going on a course of herbs. Methadone is an opioid medication and substitute drug for people dependent on heroin. Methadone helps people stop using heroin. However methadone is addictive and many users end up on methadone for years. When users want to come off methadone, they struggle with the withdrawal symptoms and risk relapse and overdose if they use heroin during a methadone detox. Methadone on its own is a relatively safe drug. The problem is that many methadone users are also on a cocktail of prescribed drugs including benzodiazepines and sleeping pills on top of their methadone. Many die before getting an opportunity to come off methadone. Herbal medicine can play an important role in supporting people to over come their addiction to methadone and other drugs. So here are some of the herbs that I can use to help someone with the withdrawal symptoms as they are tapered off methadone over a period of a year. Herbs to nurture and support the Nervous system Valerian Skull cap St Johns Wort Wood betony Wild lettuce and Hops Herbs to support regeneration of the Liver Milk Thistle Dandelion Burdock root Artichoke and Turmeric Adaptogen herbs to support people through a process of change and stress Siberian ginseng Ashwaganda Astragalus and Licorice Heart herbs to support the cardio vascular system Hawthorn Motherwort and Cayenne pepper Herbs to improve digestion and move constipation Meadowsweet Barberry Cascara Sagrada Licorice Rhubarb root and Ginger Urinary tract herbs to support elimination of toxins Yarrow Celery seed Juniper and Bearberry Herbs for adrenal fatigue and for energy Ginkgo Korean ginseng Licorice Astragalus and Ashwagandha I would also use the herb devils claw for muscle aches and pains So we have wide range of herbs to draw on and to support someone going through a methadone detox. Many of these herbs are supported by scientific research A successful methadone detox involves more than herbs. You will need a holistic plan to support you during your detox journey You must be motivated and want to start a detox You will need social supports, friends and family You will need to be in secure housing You will need to work in partnership with your doctor, an herbalist and a counsellor Your doctor will support you with a methadone tapering detox during the first year You will need to improve your diet You should also consider mindfulness meditations and keep busy during your detox by taking up exercise, or doing a course that interests you Remember talk to your prescribing doctor before coming off any medications and talk to an herbalist before starting a course of herbs. I wish you well on your detox journey! Caution: Remember always consult with a doctor if you have an illness and consult with an herbalist if you want to go on a course of herbs. These videos are for information purposes only. If you taking medications consult with a medical doctor. If you want to take a course of herbs I recommend you talk to a herbalist.
