Thyroid supplements (if used correctly) can help boost your thyroid function, help with weight loss and help you feel better. The problem comes with knowing WHICH supplements to take and at WHAT dose. It takes over 13 nutrients to create thyroid hormone, convert T4 to T3 and sensitize the cellular receptors to T3. Many thyroid supplements cram all of these nutrients into a supplement and call it "good". This is the WRONG approach to take. Instead basing your supplementation off of the needs of your body is far superior. That means using lab work and other markers to find what nutrients you need in what doses. 9 Thyroid supplements that I find most hypothyroid patients are deficient in: 1. Vitamin B12 - Thyroid hormone is involved in the proper absorption of thyroid hormone. See the video for a complete list of symptoms. Repleting low vitamin B12 is best done through sublingual or intramsucular injections. 2. Adrenal support - Most thyroid patients also have issues with cortisol dysregulation. If you have advanced adrenal fatigue most patients do better on adrenal glandulars. For more mild disease consider using adrenal adaptogens. If your cortisol is elevated consider using phosphatidylserine. 3. Zinc - Low levels of zinc can cause issues with your skin and issue with hair growth. Adding zinc boosts immune function, T4 to T3 conversion and acts as an anti inflammatory. Make sure to supplement with zinc bound to picolinic acid. 4. Iron - This is what I consider a "goldilocks" nutrient in that you don't want TOO much or TOO little. Unfortunately most doctors look for iron deficiency anemia and don't necessarily jus treat iron deficiency unless anemia accompanies it. Use these optimal levels to supplement with iron. 5. Magnesium - Hypothyroidism alters magnesium and low levels of magnesium can lead to issues like depression, anxiety and other changes like muscle cramps or restless leg syndrome. Replace low levels with magnesium glycinate, magnesium citrate if you have constipation or magnsium threonate if you have neurological issues. 6. Selenium - This nutrient is involved in the thyroid conversion process. Not only that but supplementing has been shown to reduce TPO antibodies and boost the immune system. In addition using iodine with selenium can help reduce negative side effects. 7. Probiotics - Up to 20% of thyroid conversion happens in the gut and inflammation can reduce this number. Hypothyroidism sets up the gut for imbalances that lead to inflammation. Using probiotics can help improve your GI function. 8. Digestive enzymes - Hypothyroidism leads to low stomach acid which can predispose patients to malabsorption of certain nutrients. Using enzymes can help digest your food, increase nutrient absorption and if taken in between meals may promote the breakdown of immune complexes. 9. Iodine - If used correctly iodine can be helpful in boosting thyroid function. The thyroid hormone is made up of iodine moieties and low levels of iodine can reduce the amount of functioning thyroid hormone in the body. In this video, you'll learn the nootropic brain benefits of Iodine. Including different forms of Iodine like Lugol's solution. And why supplementing with nascent iodine is a waste of time and money. Iodine is critical to optimal cognition and brain health. In fact, your nootropic stack may not work as well if you're deficient in Iodine. And most in our Western culture are low in Iodine. In this video you'll find the recommended dosage, type of Iodine to get as a supplement, and possible side effects. Iodine is an essential trace element that combines with the amino acid tyrosine to form thyroid hormones T4 and T3. Within your brain, T4 is converted to T3 by selenium which then affects gene expression controlling metabolism within cells. Iodine is critical for activating the catecholamines dopamine, norepinephrine and epinephrine. Iodine deficiency is recognized as the most common cause of preventable brain damage in the world. Even moderate deficiency results in a loss of at least 10 – 15 IQ points. And the reason I’ve added Iodine to our list of essential nootropics. 00:30 Why you're likely deficient in Iodine 03:49 How Iodine works in your brain 05:31 How Iodine affects GABA, serotonin, dopamine and acetylcholine 08:33 Brain benefits of supplementing with Iodine 11:00 How Iodine feels when you take it as a supplement 11:35 Clinical research on Iodine and cognition 12:28 Iodine dosage and why you need to take it with Selenium, Vitamin C and magnesium 14:54 Iodine side effects 16:02 Form of Iodine to buy as a supplement and types to stay away from For more on Iodine as an essential nootropic including a full transcript of this video with links to clinical studies, to leave a comment or ask a question, go to: http://nootropicsexpert.com/iodine/ For the Best Nootropics for 2017 see my video: https://youtu.be/_BhpwB7P9gU For video reviews of all the best nootropics used today, check out my channel here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC9OJP2cnNB04NacojV9MZWg

People usually miss out on iodine from their diet, as it is only present in some selected foods. This is the reason our government has come up with adding iodine into common salt, so that iodine reaches out to all the common and poor people as well, since we all have salt in our foods. Iodine is very important for the proper functioning of the thyroid gland. Iodine is very important in the production of thyroid hormones such as T3 and T4 from the thyroid gland. These hormones are important for many body functions such as brain function, weight control, metabolism, etc. People may suffer from low thyroid hormones (hypothyroidism), if sufficient iron is not taken along. Iodine is also important for a better mental health. There will be mental retardation, weak memory and a low mental concentration in people who get no iodine from their diet. Iodine is also important for fertility and during breastfeeding. Hence. you must eat foods rich in iodine, as you may miss out on this important mineral and may never know when it is too late. Here are 7 foods that are rich in iodine. Do watch about these and include them in your diet. Prunes. Three ounces of prunes contain about 34 micrograms of iodine. They are also rich in vitamins and other minerals. Eat 5 to 6 prunes daily to get vitamin A, vitamin K, iodine, fibre, boron, etc. They are one of the sweetest and tastiest snacks that contain iodine. Dried Seaweed. It contains about 4500 micrograms of iodine in a quarter-ounce. It will supply enough iodine to the body needed in a day. Eat seaweeds frequently to get the recommended supply of iodine. Baked Potatoes. You must eat baked potatoes to get the necessary nutrients. The skin of the potato contains iodine, potassium and vitamins. One medium potato provides about 40% of the recommended daily amount of iodine. Cranberries. It is high in iodine and antioxidants and contain about 400 micrograms of iodine in 4 ounces. You must eat fresh cranberries, as the iodine content is very high. They are among the best foods for thyroid gland and fertility. Curd. Curd contains enough of iodine, which suffices for more than half of your daily needs of iodine in one serving. One cup of curd contains about 80 micrograms of iodine. Curd is also a good source of good bacteria, which improve digestion and the overall gut health. Cheese From Goat's Milk. It is rich in iodine and contains other nutrients such as calcium, proteins, vitamin B complex, etc. Goat cheese contains about 15 micrograms of iodine in 1 ounce. It is also easy to digest and can be a best choice for those who have a sensitive digestive tract. Milk. One cup of milk contains about 56 micrograms of iodine. It will also provide you with other essential nutrients such as calcium, vitamin D, etc, for stronger bones. Hence, you must drink milk daily to get the iodine supply in your body. http://www.HypothyroidRevolution.org | Hypothyroidism Natural Treatment - Cure The Disease Naturally http://www.HypothyroidRevolution.org | Hypothyroidism is a condition which usually goes unnoticed for a long time. It is a condition where the thyroid gland is not able to produce enough hormones leading to weight gain, fatigue, insomnia, brittle and dry skin, constipation, dry hair, memory loss, depression, no menses and thickened tongue. People suffering from these symptoms may have to consult a doctor immediately and take the necessary medical help. You can also make use of hypothyroidism natural treatment to get rid of this condition. A person suffering from hypothyroidism may have low levels of hormones like T3 and T4. So a simple way of treatment includes either providing the hormones to the body or helping the body to produce these hormones according to the requirement. Sometimes, the patients are also given hormone treatment which uses natural or synthetic hormones. Synthetic hormones are not very favorable because some of them may develop side effects also. Natural cures for the condition come in different forms of supplements of vitamins and minerals like selenium, iodine, tyrosine, bladder wrack, thyroid glandular and coconut oil. Iodine is very important for producing the thyroid hormones. When it is mixed with amino acids it is transformed to T3 hormones. In the same way, selenium is very important in the production of T4 hormones. Amino acid tyrosine is also very important for producing the hormones. A natural powder called thyroid granular is taken from pigs, cows, and sheep. It helps to improve the overall functioning of the thyroid gland. Bladder wrack is rich in iodine content and helps the gland to function properly. Coconut oil is also a very useful natural component used to treat hypothyroidism. It raises the body temperature and metabolism. The most important part of natural cure is controlling your diet. Iodine rich foods are very useful for treating hypothyroidism. Foods rich in iodine like organic vegetables, seafood and shell fish etc should also be consumed in large quantities. Foods like spinach, broccoli, peanuts, cassava, soybeans and millets reduce the function of the thyroid gland, so you have to avoid these foods. By trying various hypothyroidism natural treatment options you will be able to treat the condition effectively. Use of supplements containing vitamin A, B, C, E and D are very useful.

About 75% of people in the world are deficient, so being deficient in zinc is very common. The 5 warning signs you’re zinc deficient: 1.) If you get sick a lot or have immune system issues 2.) Have leaky gut (http://draxe.com/7-signs-symptoms-you-have-leaky-gut/) 3.) If you struggle with diarrhea or IBS 4.) Thinning hair 5.) Inflammatory skin issues like acne, eczema, dermatitis, psoriasis One of the biggest factors in causing zinc deficiency is high levels of emotional stress. The second most common cause of zinc deficiency is over-exercise. The third most common reason your zinc deficient is if you’re pregnant or breast feeding. Lastly, if you’re older, you may tend to have malabsorption, which causes a zinc deficiency. In order to get more zinc in your diet, you need to consume more zinc-rich foods. The top 5 zinc-rich foods are pumpkin seeds, oysters, grass-fed beef, sprouted nuts and seeds, and peas. Additionally, probiotics are a key supplement to take when zinc deficient because it can help your overall absorption of nutrients. Do you know how to take your vitamins and supplements? Timing is everything when it comes to taking your vitamins and supplements, so we've put together a guide to help you maximize the powerful health benefits that come from taking them at the right time. Read more about this on our blog: http://blog.professionalsupplementcenter.com/the-best-time-to-take-nutritional-supplements/ Morning: -Probiotics - Probiotics are best taken in the morning on an empty stomach. • When the stomach is empty, digestive activity is quiet and stomach acid and pH balance are relatively low, increasing the chances for the helpful microorganisms to thrive. -Iron - Iron is best absorbed in the morning on an empty stomach. • Caffeine, dairy and calcium can negatively affect absorption, so it's best to avoid these for several hours after taking iron. -Multivitamins - Take multivitamins with your first meal. In the morning! • As multivitamins contain both water and fat soluble vitamins, be sure to include some healthy fats with your meal for optimal absorption. -B-Complex vitamins - Taking B vitamins with breakfast helps to boost your metabolism and convert your food into energy, which can be used throughout the day. -Vitamin C- Vitamin C is best taken in the morning to support the immune system and boost energy levels. • Vitamin C is a water soluble vitamin that lasts only a few hours in the blood stream, so if your formula recommends more than 1 tablet per day, take it in divided doses with meals to get the full benefit. Noon: -CoQ10 - CoQ10 is best taken at lunch time with a meal that contains dietary fats. • Avoid taking CoQ10 late in the day so it doesn't disturb your sleep. -Vitamin D - Vitamin D is best taken with a meal that contains dietary fats. • It's possible that Vitamin D can negatively affect sleep, so lunch time is a good time to get your Vitamin D. -Iodine - Iodine is not stored in the body, so regular intake is needed. kelp tablets taken with lunch may boost midday energy levels. -Vitamin K - Vitamin K is best absorbed along with dietary fats and ideally should be taken during the middle of the day. • Avoid taking vitamin K if you are taking Coumadin or any anticoagulant prescription drug, as Vitamin K can interfere with the effects of the medication. Night: - Fish oil - Important to support many aspects of health, fish oil is best taken with a main meal like dinner to aid absorption. -Calcium - Calcium aids nerve transmission and muscle function. To get the full benefit, take calcium in the evening along with magnesium. -Magnesium - Magnesium has a calming effect on the muscles and nervous system and may aid restful sleep. • Magnesium works synergistically with calcium, so take these together either as individual supplements or in a combined formula. In addition: -Digestive Enzymes - Digestive enzymes can be taken with any meal or within 30 minutes of your meal. Unless you have serious digestive issues, they don't necessarily need to be taken with light meals or snacks, but can be very beneficial for optimal breakdown and absorption of nutrients when taken with main meals. -Fiber - Fiber supplements may be taken either first thing in the morning or before bed. Be sure to take fiber with a full glass of water and get plenty of water during the day. Fiber can delay or reduce the absorption of certain medications so always check with your healthcare provider before taking. The number one "superfood" for preventing auto-immune, neuro-degenerative and cardiovascular diseases in my opinion is Sardines/Oily fish. Sardines are absolutely packed with a number of nutrients including protein, Vitamin B12, pre-formed Omega-3 fatty acids(EPA/DHA), bio-available selenium and calcium, iodine, Co-Enzyme Q10, RNA/DNA and they are also a rare dietary source of Vitamin D3. When it comes to supporting cardiovascular health and preventing inflammation based degenerative diseases, you won't find a better superfood choice than oily fish such as Sardines. The reason why Sardines and oily fish is such a potent force for preventing these degenerative diseases according to scientific research, lies within its extremely rich content of four specific nutrients: potent anti-inflammatory pre-formed longchain Omega-3 fatty acids(EPA/DHA), homo-cysteine lowering Vitamin B12, immune and inflammation modulating Vitamin D3 and mitochondrial anti-oxidant support nutrient Co-Enzyme Q10.

Did you know you can use iodine to boost your thyroid? More health hacks located at http://www.ThomasDeLauer.com What is the Thyroid? 1. The thyroid is a small, butterfly-shaped gland located at the front of the neck. (1) 2. Plays a role in metabolism, development, growth and body temperature. (1) 3. When not functioning properly, one can experience metabolism and weight problems, and even mood disorders, such as depression. (2) 4. How does the thyroid work? (3) a. The thyroid take iodine that you consume and combines it with the amino acid tryocine in order to convert it into the Thyroid hormones, thyroxine (T4) and triiodothyronine (T3). b. T4 and T3 and then transported via the bloodstream throughout your body, playing a key role in a properly functioning metabolism, which is the conversion of oxygen and calories into energy. c. T3 is four times as strong as t4 d. Another gland, the pituitary gland, is responsible for communicating with the thyroid, essentially telling it when to turn on and turn off the production of T3 and T4. The gland is in turn regulated by the region of the brain called the hypothalamus. e. You must have a proper amount of iodine consumption in order to feed the thyroid and ensure proper functioning - either too little or too much can lead to a slew of health problems. Essentially, without iodine, the thyroid cannot function. 5. Back in the early 1920s the US added iodine in salt due to a nutritional deficiency of iodine leading to diseases such as goiter. This was due to people not consuming enough iodine rich foods. (4) . The problem with this is that the iodine in the white table salts is not the naturally occurring iodine and contains chemicals that are bad for our health a. Naturally occurring salts, such as pink Himalayan sea salts, contain trace amounts of iodine and do not contain the chemicals that are bad for our health b. Other naturally occurring sources of iodine are sea vegetables such as seaweed and kelp, cranberries (eat actual berries, not juice due to sugar content), organic yogurt, organic navy beans, organic strawberries, organic, raw cheese and organic potatoes. (5) c. If you supplement, be sure not to exceed 500 mcg of iodine daily from all sources. You can take natural supplements, such as kelp supplements. Otherwise it is good to take potassium iodide, which can encourage proper thyroid functioning. (6) 6. It is a good idea to speak with your doctor prior to supplementation to be sure that you do not take in too much iodine. Taking too much iodine is dangerous just as not having enough in your diet is. A compilation study from the Best Practice and Research Clinical Endocrinology and Metabolism discussed the importance of keeping iodine levels “within a relatively narrow interval where iodine deficiency disorders are prevented, but not higher. Monitoring and adjusting of iodine intake in a population is an important part of preventive medicine.” 1. WebMD: Picture of the Thyroid http://www.webmd.com/women/picture-of-the-thyroid 2. It is important that our thyroids are working and functioning properly since they regulate both hormone production and metabolism. A proper functioning thyroid is therefore important to maintain good overall health. There are foods you can eat to help support your thyroid’s functioning, but you will want to discuss further treatments with your medical practitioner as well. Lets discuss these foods that can support and improve thyroid function. 1. Seaweed can be especially beneficial for your thyroid. This is because most sea vegetables, especially seaweed, are great sources of iodine. Low levels of iodine in the body may be detrimental to overall thyroid health and its ability to secret necessary hormones. It is also a great source of potassium and protein. Most seaweed varieties are good sources of iodine. 2. Brazil nuts are also good for thyroid function. This is because they are a rich source of the nutrient selenium. Selenium helps regulate thyroid hormones and promotes the overall health of are thyroid. It may also help to prevent thyroid tissue damage and long-term damage for those individuals with thyroid related issues. 3. Dairy products can also help. This includes foods such as eggs, milk and yogurt. The consumption of these foods can help contribute to healthy iodine levels in the body. A single egg can offer nearly 16% of the recommended daily value of iodine. As well, dairy products such as low fat milk and yogurt contain other nutrients that promote the overall health of our bodies, such as vitamin D. 4. Coconut oil has long been used as a healing food. It is an excellent food source for our health and importantly, for our thyroid as well. Coconut oil contains essential fatty acids, which are needed for proper metabolic function. As well, these healthy fatty acids are incorporated easily by the body and contribute to both healthy thyroid function and thyroid hormone production. Coconut oil can also help regulate the metabolism. 5. Fish are another healthy food source for our thyroid. Many varieties are helpful in this regard, such as cod and haddock. Fish are a good source of thyroid healthy iodine. They also provide other vitamin, minerals and nutrients that provide adequate nutrition to our bodies and promote healthy thyroid function and overall health. This includes omega-3 fatty acids which promote overall health and the health of our hearts. 6. Lastly, beans can improve thyroid function. Varieties such as lima and pinto beans are a great source of selenium. Just one cup of cooked beans can provide about 19% of your recommended daily value of selenium. Beans are also a good source of zinc and iron, as well as B vitamins, vitamin C, fibre and healthy proteins. Please note that too much iodine and selenium can be detrimental to your body and health as well. Be sure to discuss iodine and selenium levels with your medical practitioner before introducing these types of foods. Thank you for watching the video. Please like, comment and share. http://herbalisttraining.net/iodine-facts/ organicherbsforlife.com Iodine Facts: What you Should Know Iodine is utilized by every hormone receptor in the body. The absence of iodine causes a hormonal dysfunction that can be seen with practically every hormone inside the body. Dr. Flechas has recently been able to show that patients with insulin resistant diabetes have a partial to full remission of their illness in the presence of taking iodine. Iodine deficiency is also felt to be the source of ovarian cysts. With iodine replacement therapy the cysts disappear and women have stopped having ovarian cysts."-All cells in the body need iodine for proper functioning. All glands (thyroid, adrenal, etc.) especially need iodine for the production of hormones. Dr. Brownstein believes that iodine deficiency is a major cause of breast cancer and other diseases of the reproductive organs such as ovarian, uterus and prostate cysts and cancers.Iodine Facts Iodine levels Iodine levels in US soil have fallen 50 per cent over the past 50 years and soil in the US is deficient in iodine. The Great Lakes region has some of lowest soil iodine levels in the world and this results in high levels of cancers related to iodine deficiency. Dr. Brownstein has been quite successful in treating fibrocystic breast disease (cysts in the breast) with iodine/iodine supplementation. Women with large breasts need more iodine than women with smaller breasts. Other medical authorities agree that iodine deficiency can lead to fibrocystic breast disease and/or ovarian cysts iodine can similarly remove uterine fibroidsand one of the first conventional medical treatments for severe fibrosis was to paint the uterus with iodine. Some other medical conditions associated with iodine deficiency are goiters, Graves’ Disease, Hashimoto’s Disease, fatigue and impaired immune system function. Iodine deficiency during pregnancy can lead to miscarriages and reduced IQ in surviving offspring. The World Health Organization says that iodine deficiency is the largest single cause of mental retardation. Iodine also detoxifies the body by removing mercury, fluorides, chlorides and bromides. "If you think you may be deficient in Iodine, consider this; most of the US population has one or more mercury amalgam fillings in their mouths. A consequence of this is that minute amounts of the heavy metal mercury are continuously being released into the mouth and absorbed into the body. This toxication stimulates a natural detox reaction by the body. Several mechanisms are utilized to remove the mercury. In order for these detoxification mechanisms to work properly, numerous essential minerals are utilized. Iodine, Zinc, Sulfur, Selenium, and Silica stimulate the excretion of heavy metals including mercury.Iodine is at the top of the list when it comes to mercury removal. ---"Unfortunately, the average persons daily intake of Iodine is not high enough to keep them mercury free even when not exposed to excessive levels. Add on the exposure of mercury from vaccinations, smoking, etc., and you have the potential for serious heavy metal toxicity. This toxicity can manifest itself in many ways causing problems that would not normally be attributed to high levels of mercury. "In addition to mercury toxicity, you naturally have a major deficiency in the essential mineral Iodine if you are getting at or below the outdated RDA. Additionally, fluoride is an antagonistic element to Iodine, meaning it will impede the absorption of Iodine. Many of us are forced to drink fluoridated water and also brush our teeth with fluoride. Could an Iodine deficiency be related in some way to the current epidemic of hypothyroidism, breast, and prostate cancers? The protective function of Iodine in these tissues has not been described, but the fact that these tissues when healthy are replete with Iodine, and when diseased have little or no Iodine, leads one to think there is more than a causal link."

I'm talking like 100s of millions of dollars. But are they worth your money? This is a very common question, and you can’t expect an unbiased answer from a supplement manufacturer. Let’s have a closer look. TITLE: Hypothyroidism- Should I Use Nutrition Supplements? In a previous video we looked at three of the important nutrients you need for thyroid health, as well as whole food sources for each. I recommend you watch that first. Now lets look at the 4 main nutrients that thyroid supplements claim to support. SLIDE - Iodine STUDY- http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/19014327 Iodine supplements are unnecessary. This is because iodine deficiency is almost never the cause of hypothyroidism in developed countries. SNIPPET: "These findings affirm... adequate iodine nutrition in the general U.S. population since 2000." The big exception to this rule is if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Iodine requirements increase by more than 60% as iodine is required for mother and child. In some instances of Hashimoto’s, concentrated iodine sources such as iodine drops, seaweed or kelp tablets may worsen hypothyroidism. This is another reason to be weary of iodine supplementation. SLIDE - Selenium ME Selenium is a popular thyroid supplement, and theoretically could help if you are actually deficient in selenium. STUDY- https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/23744563 A review of the research concluded evidence is lacking to definitively support or refute the use of selenium for thyroid health. Some studies found it could help, but they were heavily biased. SNIPPET- "In conclusion, the results of these four studies... show that evidence to support or refute the efficacy of selenium supplementation in people with Hashimoto's thyroiditis is incomplete and not reliable...". In other words, it’s unclear if is beneficial from a scientific standpoint. Patient tesitominal suggests it helps, but that will vary from case to case. Also note the risk of known side-effects, including digestive issues, fatigue, irritability and even hair loss if used long-term. SLIDE - Zinc Speaking of hair loss, it may be worth trialling a zinc supplement on its own (as opposed to a supplement that also contains selenium). STUDY - https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/19250719 There are few studies on zinc supplementation, with one finding it may only be beneficial for patients with goiter. SNIPPET: "...Zn status and serum thyroid hormone levels were improved in goitrous patients after six months treatment..." Therefore, there is no way to give a solid recommendation for or against its use. SLIDE- Vitamin B12 Vitamin B12 is a micronutrient that helps regulate energy release. Low levels can make you feel exceptionally lethargic, so in theory this supplement could help fight fatigue that often comes with underactive thyroid. Generally speaking it doesn’t hurt to give it a try, and anecdotally they work very well. But much like iodine, low levels of vitamin B12 is very rare in developed countries. Generally speaking then, supplemental iodine and vitamin B12 are not necessary as your levels are very likely optimal. Selenium and zinc supplements are certainly beneficial if you have low levels, but effectiveness will vary greatly between individuals. As always consult with your personal doctor before trying any new supplements. Thanks for watching if you enjoyed this and found it useful please give a thumbs up and leave a comment. The skin absorbs it and it becomes bioavailable. Iodine is crucial for the thyroid to regulate hormones and metabolism. I use pure magnesium hexahydrate to help drive it into the skin. When you look for magnesium make sure you get undiluted, full strength.

It’s critical for the thyroid gland, supports the immune system, is essential for metabolic pathways, and soothes redness and swelling in the body. It’s even important for reproductive health, DNA production, and eyesight. As an antioxidant, it helps fight free radicals and might even be called a super antioxidant because it supports other antioxidants. One of its most valuable roles is supporting the production of glutathione peroxidase, a critical antioxidant enzyme that protects the thyroid and even helps recycle vitamin E and vitamin C into active scavengers of free radicals. Bio-True and Global Healing Center’s high-potency selenium capsules are made from 100% certified organic mustard seeds and each serving delivers 200 mcg of food-derived, vegan-friendly selenium for a highly bioavailable source your body can use. -The Top 5 Reasons You Need Selenium Supplements- 1. Powerful Antioxidant - Selenium is an antioxidant that defends against the free radicals that damage cells and lead to early aging. Selenium’s high antioxidant level also supports the immune system by helping to create extremely important antibodies. 2. Thyroid Support - Like iodine, selenium is incredibly important for normal thyroid function. Selenium is necessary for the production of thyroid hormones; a selenium deficiency can negatively affect hormone balance and thyroid function and its antioxidant action also helps protect the thyroid from free radicals. 3. Cardiovascular Health - Normal cardiovascular health requires sufficient selenium. Selenium can benefit heart health by soothing oxidative stress and can support normal circulation. 4. Food-Sourced Formula - Nearly every other selenium supplement on the market is produced with synthetic selenium. Bio-True & Global Healing Center's selenium extract is different. It’s a whole food form of selenium extracted from certified organic mustard seed. Food sources allow for faster and easier absorption. Each high-potency capsule delivers 200 mcg of highly bio-available, organically sourced selenium. 5. Unparalleled Quality - Bio-True & Global Healing Center selenium is readily absorbable and is produced in the USA at a state of the art manufacturing facility equipped with all high-tech equipment that adheres to cGMP guidelines and has achieved ISO 22000 certification -- the highest in food safety standards.

Recommended Nutrients: B-vitamins: https://shop.drberg.com/nutritional-yeast-regular Minerals: https://shop.drberg.com/electrolyte-powder-regular Take Dr. Berg's Free Keto Mini-Course: http://pxlme.me/-i717vtY or go here: https://www.drberg.com/how-to-do-ketosis Download Keto Essentials https://m.me/drericberg?ref=w2128577 Dr. Berg talks about what key multivitamins and minerals on a ketogenic diet plan. The first vitamin that is needed is the B-vitamins (B1, B2, B3, B6, etc.). Minerals are also needed as in potassium (4700 mg), magnesium and sodium - these electrolytes are need to prevent deficiencies. You also need D3, omega 3 and even trace minerals. This provides you the key nutrients to make this transition from glucose to fat burning efficiently. Hi guys, I recently have a question what multivitamins and minerals do I need in a ketogenic diet. Well, the first thing you need to do and a lot of people will use vitamins because they don’t want to consume the amount of vegetables that they really need. You really need to do that because we want to get as many vitamins and minerals from the vegetables as possible, 7 to 10 cups. Not just for the vitamins and minerals but to flush out the fat, we need that greens and healthy vegetables. However, when you are switching from sugar burning to fat burning, when you are adopting, you need more of certain nutrients and you definitely need more B vitamins, vitamin B6, B5, B1 and B12. I recommend getting this in the nutritional yeast, you can get it in powder. I have nutritional yeast in tablet form to make it easier to consume and this is a non-fortified. When you consume nutritional yeast, you don’t want to fortify or enrich it with synthetic vitamins but I also added some natural B12. You also need minerals specifically potassium, magnesium and sodium. When you are in a low carb diet you need more salt, consume about 1teaspoon of salt. If you are in a high carbohydrate diet only have a quarter teaspoon of salt. We do need a lot of potassium and a good amount of magnesium. I use electrolyte powder because it has a thousand mg of potassium citrate, good amount of magnesium and has a little bit of sodium. You may need to enhance sodium because this is not have a lot of sodium but this is cool because it doesn’t have a lot of maltodextrin, it doesn’t have the sugar and it has the trace minerals on it as well. You also need vitamin D3, you can get this on sunlight or fish oils, in that way you can kill two birds in one stone and you can get you omega 3. If you can get high quality cod liver oil, you can get D3 and Omega 3. And you have trace minerals which are those minerals are needed in much smaller amounts, and it is hard to find that in the diet and it can really help you. An example would be chromium, iodine, selenium. Again, the goal is to get as much of the vitamins and minerals from the food but I also recommend enhancing it with B vitamins, minerals, D3, Omega 3 and trace minerals. http://totalhealthdupage.com The appropriate vitamins and minerals can boost your overall thyroid function and improve your overall health. Many people with thyroid and autoimmune thyroid conditions have deficiencies. The top 6 vitamins and minerals that I find most hypothyroid patients are deficient in: 1. Iodine: thyroid hormones are built from this iodine molecule. Either T4 & T3 the central molecule is Iodine. 2. Zinc: helps build thyroid hormone to receptor sites. 3. Selenium: takes T4 (inactive) and helps it convert to T3 (active) form of thyroid hormones. 4. B- Vitamins: prescription medications will block the absorption of B-vitamins. Specifically B6, B9, and B12. 5. Choline: essential for brain function. Hypothyroidism will give brain fog, mood, and memory. Due to the decrease effects of choline. 6. Vitamin D: low vitamin levels will slow the absorption of vitamin D. Vitamin D is good for overall health. ======================================================= ***Click below to SUBSCRIBE for more videos ** https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC0OzIq_loWO2keJqCbtZdsQ ======================================================= Dr. Jinaan Jawad 26W276 Geneva Road Suite C Carol Stream, IL 60188 630-653-2225 Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/totalhealth06/ Visit Us: http://totalhealthdupage.com

This is a two minute promotional video for the organic selenium supplement called Selenomune. I have formulated this to contain 3 different types of selenium. Each Selenomune Capsule Contains: Vitamin C (as Ascorbic Acid) 100 mg 167% Folic Acid (as 5-methyltetrahydrofolate) 200 mcg 50% Vitamin B-12 (as Methylcobalamin) 20 mcg 333% Iodine (from Kelp) 150 mcg 100% Zinc (as Zinc Oxide) 5 mg 33% Selenium 200 mcg 286% (as SelenoPure® Selenomethionine, L-Selenomethionine & Sodium Selenite) Manganese (as Manganese Sulfate) 1 mg 50% Chromium (as Chromium Chelate) 20 mcg 17% Molybdenum (as Molybdenum Chelate) 50 mcg 67% Boron (as Boron Citrate) 0.1 mg * Brewer's Yeast 500 mg * * Daily Value Not Established Other Ingredients: Vegetable Capsule (Hypromellose), Rice Powder, Magnesium Stearate Selenomune capsules contain a special designer yeast which is cultivated to incorporate a high concentration of essential trace minerals. The special yeast in Selenomune is very beneficial for nutritional health, and just as there are both good and bad bacteria found in the intestines, there are good and bad yeasts. The yeast in Selenomune is a good yeast, in that it enhances immunity, whereas the bad yeasts (pathogenic yeasts) such as candida, will deplete the body of energy and increase the workload of the immune system. Selenomune Energy Capsules are packed with immune boosting nutrients to support the energy factories inside your cells. SELENIUM is a mineral vital to the proper function of the immune system in humans and animals. Selenium is vital for the conversion of thyroid hormone to its active form (T3). Thus, it may help those with thyroid resistance and/or sluggish thyroid function. Many different viruses can become more virulent when attacking a selenium deficient host. Infowars Life Bio-True Selenium™ is extracted from 100% certified organic mustard seed, functions as a powerful antioxidant and supports a healthy thyroid and immune system. Much like iodine, selenium is important for normal thyroid function. Selenium is necessary for the production of thyroid hormones, and a selenium deficiency can negatively affect healthy hormone balance and normal thyroid function. Selenium is an essential trace mineral that supports a healthy thyroid gland, supports the immune system, is essential for metabolic pathways, and much more. Selenium even plays a role in the natural function of reproductive health, DNA production, and eyesight. As a powerful antioxidant, selenium helps fight free radicals and may even be considered a super antioxidant' because of the way in which it may support other antioxidants. One of its most valuable roles is supporting the natural production of glutathione peroxidase, a key antioxidant enzyme that supports the thyroid and even helps recycle vitamin E and vitamin C into active scavengers of free radicals. Infowars Life’s high-potency Bio-True Selenium capsules are made from 100% certified organic mustard seeds and each serving delivers 200 mcg of food-derived, vegan-friendly selenium. Visit: www.gardenofyasmin.com for more info! To those who ascribe to a vegan based diet and are naturally limited by the plethora of non vgn food options that inhabit grocery shelves, we have to be extremely intentional and strategic with sufficient nutrient intake. Thyroid disease is very common. There are many factors that can lead to a dysfunctional thyroid, such as, genetics, malnutrition, malabsorption, radiation exposure, autoimmune disease, etc. In this video, I will be addressing how one can practically & strategically implement key nutrients for optimal thyroid health. Here’s my brief background: my maternal grandmother has had hypothyroidism for many years. It seemed to have skipped my mother's generation and is active in the 3rd generation. Making it a recessive gene. Thus making it easier for me to inherit thyroid disease. I have to be really intentional with my dieting. There are 4 key micronutrients that complement iodine uptake (before it can convert to T3 & T4): Selenium, Magnesium, Zinc, B Vitamins. It is important that one adequately consumes these key nutrients. So, how are we getting them? Iodine: Kelp, Mangos, Cranberries, Seaweed, Iodized Salt Selenium: Spinach, Brazilian Nuts, Zinc & Vitamin B Foods: Pepitas - Pumpkin Seeds, Sunflower Seeds, Cocoa - Dark Chocolate (for the chocolate lovers), Mushrooms, Chickpeas, Asparagus, Sesame Seeds, Pistachios (my favorite nut). And supplements! So basically, eating a diverse plant-based diet offers nutritional variety, which ultimately works in your favor. However; DISCLAIMER, there are so many variables to consider in health and it isn’t so black & white at times. I strongly suggest consulting your physician, a dietitian or nutritionist regarding your health because there are so many things to consider. LIKE & SUBSCRIBE!!! INSTAGRAM: GrdnofYsmn

It just means that the organism is unable to survive in a highly oxygenated environment. Herpes needs a host cell to grow and multiply. It goes about it by taking over your red blood the cell and then attaches itself to DNA and RNA so it can multiply. The cell is unhealthy. Unhealthy cells lack oxygen but will still burn energy by using the blood glucose. This is why you can feel fatigue sometimes.
