My Theory on Dementia, Blood Pressure & Stroke - Dr. Eric Berg DC

06:36
Take Dr. Berg's Body Type Quiz: http://bit.ly/BodyTypeQuiz Dr. Berg talks about his theory on dementia, blood pressure control and stroke. There are a lot of unknowns about dementia. But there is an interesting associated factor, i.e. the build up of calcium in the arteries of the brain. Also, if the arteries get packed with calcium packing, the arteries get hard and it might be one of the causes for high blood pressure. Stroke is a situation of blocking of vascular blood flow to the brain. Dosages to try: Healthy normal person: Vitamin D3 (10,000 IUs) + Vitamin K2 (MK-7) (100mcg) per day Unhealthy person: Vitamin D3 (30,000 IUs) + Vitamin K2 (MK-7) (300mcg) per day Vitamin D and K2 work together and help to mobilize calcium. You may want to consume both vitamins, in the morning with butter or coconut oil for better absorption (due to being fat soluble). Vitamin D3 is about absorption of calcium and vitamin K2 is about directing where calcium goes - both working together to keep your arteries and soft tissues clean and your bones strong. Unless you have osteoporosis, I would not recommend taking extra calcium. Instead consume some cheese on a daily basis. Most of the calcium in the body is recycled so adding more, is not needed. Never consume calcium carbonate (limestone) as your calcium. If you take calcium and vitamin D without K2, you may be in danger of excess calcium build up - calcification of your vessels. Yet K2 is a powerful inhibitor of calcification of soft tissues. If you need help digesting fats or are missing a gallbladder, I recommend a product called Gallbladder Formula: https://shop.drberg.com/gallbladder-formula-regular CONNECTION BETWEEN CALCIUM AND DEMENTIA (MEMORY PROBLEMS) http://www.npr.org/templates/story/st... http://faculty.sites.uci.edu/kimgreen... http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknew... How to Avoid Blood Clots, a Stroke & Heart Attacks

03:38
Dr. Berg's New Book: https://shop.drberg.com/drbergs-new-b... Take Dr. Berg's Free Keto Mini-Course: http://pxlme.me/-i717vtY Dr. Berg talks about avoiding blood clots, a stroke and a heart attack. The body is constantly forming clots and dissolving clots. a clot is called a thrombus, which is composed of mostly fibrin (65%), 20% platelets, 10% RBCs, 1% WBC and only 4% cholesterol. A very small fraction of cholesterol makes a clot. If there is high levels of PAI-1 (Plasminogen activator inhibitor-1), you will have an increased risk of getting getting a blood clot. This compound is an inhibitor of enzymes that keep the clot dissolved. It's an enzyme inhibitor. Now the question is what triggers clot formation: 1. Glucose 2. Pre-insulin and insulin 3. Glucocorticoids (cortisol) 4. Excess Estrogen increases the risk of blood clots by 7x. Nutritional Supplements- Part 1

14:55
Nutritional Supplements- Part 1 Dr. Bergman teaches about the importance of having both vitamins and Minerals in your everyday diet to experience optimal health. Learn about supplements, what are they for? How do you use them? which ones are good? Vitamins and minerals help one to have more energy, sleep better, overcome health challenges, feel younger. Taking a multi vitamin will not cause a difference. only 10 to 20 percent of pill vitamins are absorbed as opposed to the 80 percent that is absorbed in liquid pills. Ionized minerals vs. non ionized minerals. We need to take mineral supplements because our farm soils are severely depleted of minerals. 02:23
Brian Galban, fitness trainer based in San Francisco, demonstrates weight-bearing exercises essential to preventing loss of bone density, known as osteoporosis disease. This disease happens when a decline of calcium and other minerals causes our bones to become fragile and more susceptible to fracture. Weight-bearing exercises shown in this video are the best way of preventing bone-loss, bone-thinning, and bone-softening. Combining these exercises with a proper diet and supplementation rich in the proper amounts of vitamin d, calcium, magnesium, omega-3 and omega-6 are proven to build muscle-mass and bone-mass. Osteoporosis disease is often preventable, and not a requirement for growing older.

5 Effective And Simple Home Remedies For Bone Mineral Density Loss

01:57
5 Effective And Simple Home Remedies For Bone Mineral Density Loss Osteopenia generally doesn’t cause pain or other symptoms. But it’s important to understand how to prevent it because it can progress to osteoporosis, in which the bones are so weak they fracture easily. Follow my remedies once. 1. Spinach. One of the richest sources of calcium in the vegetable world, add a fresh spinach salad to your weekly health regimen (at least one!) and ensure a constant stream of bone-strengthening minerals to your system. 2. Pineapple Juice. One of the newest findings concerning osteoporosis has to do with manganese deficiency, so ensuring a high level of that mineral can seriously help fend off bone degradation. Freshly squeezed pineapple juice is a rich source of manganese and a tasty one! 3. Limit salt. Excessive salt intake in postmenopausal women results in loss of calcium through urine. Cut down on fast foods and processed foods, as they account for 75 percent of our salt consumption. 4. Yogurt. People, who are intolerant to lactose, can also enjoy the benefits of yogurt as the sugar and lactose are already broken down. It can be used as a sour cream substitute or eaten with fresh fruits. 5. Orange Juice. To fulfill the need of Vitamin C in the body, drink a glass of orange juice every day. Vitamin C is essential for rebuilding the bones. Red Cabbage: The Disease-Fighting, Gut-Healing Superfood

18:29
Red Cabbage: The Disease-Fighting, Gut-Healing Superfood Just about everyone has eaten cabbage at one point or another in his or her life, whether as a New Year’s tradition or as part of the regular diet. But did you know that not all cabbage is the same? It’s true. Red cabbage is not the same as green cabbage, and I’m not just talking about color. Red cabbage, also known as purple cabbage, is a cruciferous vegetable that’s delicious both raw and cooked. It’s often eaten raw in salads, steamed, braised or sauteed with other vegetables. It’s also referenced as red kraut or blue kraut and can provide the much-needed benefits of probiotics in this form due to the fermentation process. In addition, the insoluble fiber from red cabbage is known to prevent constipation, lower the risk of developing diverticular disease and may help relieve the symptoms of some gastrointestinal conditions, such as IBS symptoms. But that’s not all. Red cabbage benefits extend even further, as you’ll learn below — and why you want to include this tasty veggie in your rotation. Red Cabbage Benefits 1. Boosts the Immune System Red cabbage contains ever-so-important vitamin C, a crucial antioxidant needed in order for our bodies to have strong immune systems. It stimulates the activity of white blood cells, forming the first line of defense for the immune system. Nutrient-dense antioxidants such as vitamin C are known to have high antioxidant potency to assist in minimizing harmful effects of reactive species. As one of the top vitamin C foods on the planet, red cabbage is a major immune system booster. The immune system is extremely vulnerable to oxidant and antioxidant balance, as uncontrolled free radical production can impair its function and defense mechanism. These free radicals can form in the body and promote tissue damage. However, antioxidants are the perfect defense mechanisms for the immune system and can help fight off intruders, including cancer. Additionally, vitamin C is important in the formation of collagen, which keeps our bodies and cells connected and solid. Due in large part to its vitamin C content, red cabbage is a high-antioxidant food that fights free radical damage and strengthens the immune system. 2. Fights Inflammation and Arthritis Red cabbage contains inflammation-fighting phytonutrients. A study published in Research in Pharmaceutical Science showed that when testing the effects of the consumption of extracts of cabbage on the immune response, there was a reduction in swelling. Because inflammation can cause swelling and pain in the joints, such as with arthritis, eating a diet filled with anthocyanin-rich fruits and vegetables like red cabbage should be a part of your daily regimen. These type of anti-inflammatory foods help prevent and naturally treat arthritis and arthritic complications. 3. Aids Healthy Bones and Reduces the Risk of Osteoporosis Red cabbage is a vitamin K-rich food, and we know that vitamin K increases the amount of a specific protein required to maintain bone calcium, thus reducing the risk of osteoporosis. Some studies on vitamin K have even found that high intakes of it stop bone loss in those who already have osteoporosis, which is why it should be part of any osteoporosis diet treatment plan. Skeletal tissue is formed during the first two decades of life, and then a constant bone mass is maintained until 40 years of age. In the case of women, the bone mass is rapidly reduced at menopause, and after that, bone mass slowly decreases in both men and women who have passed the 70-year-old mark. This process can lead to increased risk of bone fracture. Since osteoporotic fractures are the third-highest cause for becoming bedridden, the maintenance of healthy bones is an important factor in extending a person’s healthy lifespan. Vitamin K can greatly help maintain bone health and delay or prevent osteoporosis. 4. Combats Chronic Disease Degenerative or chronic disorders — such as Alzheimer’s disease, ALS, Huntington’s disease and Parkinson’s disease, among others — affect more than 45 million people worldwide and often strike older adults characterized by progressive deterioration of nerve cells, eventually leading to cell death. DNA damage by reactive species is associated with susceptibility to chronic human degenerative disorders. The naturally occurring antioxidants found in the anthocyanins of the red cabbage may prevent or reverse such damage. In a study from the University of Auckland in New Zealand, the antioxidant activities were compared from the extract of six anthocyanin-rich edible plants, including red cabbage, red lettuce, blueberries, pansies, purple sweet potato skin, purple sweet potato flesh and Maori potato flesh. All but the red lettuce extract were found to reduce endogenous DNA damage in colon cancer cells, showcasing the disease-fighting ability of red cabbage — including its standing among cancer-fighting foods.

There’s a fair amount of research out there that is compelling and growing, so I took some time to summarize and condense it for your benefit. How does vitamin D regulate testosterone? Primarily this occurs because vitamin D inhibits the process of aromatization in which testosterone is changed into estrogen. It also appears that vitamin D may enhance the sensitivity of cell receptors in the testicular glands that produce testosterone. The best source of vitamin D is natural sunlight. However, that’s not always an option and dietary sources include fatty fish (salmon, tuna, mackerel), fish liver, beef liver, cheese, egg yolks, and fortified foods (namely, milk and breakfast cereals). Many of these studies are looking at individuals who have a deficiency in vitamin D for one reason or another. Like most vitamins, minerals and supplements, there is almost certainly a saturation point at which the benefits subside. Regarding testosterone, it seems relatively clear that men with low vitamin D will have an increase in testosterone when they begin supplementing. That benefit is not as obvious or well studied in men who have normal levels of vitamin D. And on a final note, in the grand scheme of things, vitamin D supplementation has relatively few, if any major side effects when taken at the recommended daily allowance and should be part of a baseline supplement regimen for weight lifters. Vitamin K2 - The Amazing Calcium Transporter

Dr. Berg' New Book: https://shop.drberg.com/drbergs-new-b... Support a Healthy Vascular System: https://shop.drberg.com/d3-k2-vitamin... Take Dr. Berg's Free Keto Mini-Course: http://pxlme.me/-i717vtY Dr. Berg talks about vitamin K2 and the purpose. K2 is a fat soluble vitamins that helps in the transportation of calcium out of the soft tissues and into the bone. K1 is different in that it helps with the clotting factors. Vitamin K2 is present in grass fed animal products like meats, dairy, etc., but it can also b found in fermented soy as natto (non GMO of course). I recommend getting a version of K2 called MK7, which is a natural version. Take 100 mcg and when you take it, also take vitamin D3 at a ration of 100mcg of K2 to 10,000 IUs of D3. K2 inhibits the osteoclasts (which normally break down bone) and stimulates the osteoblasts (cells that build). It's free and very enlightening. Dr. Berg talks about spinal stenosis. This is narrowing of the space around the spinal cord. This can be in the neck, low back or even the midback. Typically if you look at what causes Normally there is this factor that is supposed to inhibit spur formation. This is called: MGP (Carboxylated Matrix GLA Protein). This factor is activated by vitamin K2. Vitamin K2 is normally in grass fed dairy products and meat and even egg yolks because it's a fat soluble vitamin. It's also in natto, a soy product (make sure you use organic) for those who are vegans. I also recommend taking the natural version of K2 which is MK7. B1 Deficiency is the first cause and it occurs from consuming a lot of refined carbohydrates and sugars, prediabetic or diabetic in which case it is recommended to consume Benfotiamine a type of B1 that is a fat soluble. Another cause is the calcium deficiency, take Calcium Aspartate Anhydrous this form of calcium absorbs about 98%. He also talks about how to know if you have B1 Deficiency or Calcium Deficiency. B1 Deficiency Symptoms: • Nervous • Poor Memory • Raising Thoughts • Increase Heart Rate • Restlessness Legs • Nightmares Calcium Deficiency Symptoms: • Cramps • Weak Nails • Fatigue • Spasm Larynx • Low Mood • Osteoporosis • Twitches • Black and Blue Spots Hey guys! In this video, we are gonna talk about the two causes of tingling and numbness in your hands and feet. Number 1 it’s a B1 deficiency and that usually occurs from consuming a lot of refined carbohydrates and sugars, usually when someone’s prediabetic or actual diabetic they will gonna have B1 deficiency in which case you are gonna have the type of B1 that is fat soluble because normally B1 is water soluble and the reason for that is you want to penetrate the fat layer around the nervous system because all the nerves have this insolation around them called myelin. So this is the form of B1 that you want to take its called Benfotaimine. If you have severe symptoms take more, like you would take 4 per day spread out. If you have mild symptoms you just take one per day. That’s B1. Another cause of this symptoms would be calcium deficiency in which case you would want to take this form Calcium Aspartate Anhydrous. Why? Because this form of calcium absorbs about 98%. Whereas other form of calcium only absorbs between 5 and 20%. This goes in like a rocket ship and it really helps you. But then the question is how do you know if you have a B1 deficiency or calcium deficiency? Well let’s take a look. B1 Deficiencies, you’ll feel Nervous, you’ll have Poor Memory, raising thoughts, Increase Heart Rate, and you might have tenderness when you press into your calf, Restless Leg Syndrome, Nightmares and there’s other ones as well. A calcium deficiency will create cramps in your legs and even the back of the a hamstring area, weak nails, fatigue, spasm in your larynx so you might have this chronic cough or tightness in the back of your throat, lowered mood so you might be depressed or have anxiety, osteoporosis, twitches and black and blue spots. So basically you would narrow down which one you have and you can take this one or this one to actually help yourself with this. So most likely it will be a B1 deficiency in which case you definitely need to change your diet to keto and intermittent fasting. But sometimes this doesn't work because you have a calcium deficiency. Alright thanks for watching! How to Get Rid of Acne Fast

11:25
Estrogen Balance with DIM: https://shop.drberg.com/estrogen-balance-regular Dr. Berg explains the deeper root cause of acne and the fastest way to get clear skin. Most people make the mistake of scrubbing their skin and damaging it. The skin layer is filled with millions of friendly microbes that protect the skin. Cleansing the skin sterilizes it thus causing acne to come back due to the wrong bacteria. Taking antibiotics is not a long term solution because it develops resistant bacteria. Accutane has some serious side-effects. Understanding sabaceous gland is the key. There are 5 things that make up acne. 1. Inflammation 2. Plugged pores 3. Excess oil or sebum and bacteria 4. Enlarged sebaceous gland 5. Excess skin formation. The sabaceous gland is very sensitive to two sex hormones: ANDROGENS Androgens increase the size of the gland and the oil production. This can come from PCOS, which is excess insulin. Insulin resistance is the real cause. Insulin also increases the enzyme 5-alpha-reductase thus turning testosterone into DHT (a powerful form of testosterone. The best thing to take is vitamin A (virgin cod liver oil), vitamin B5, zinc and also decreasing insulin: watch this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wduco... ESTROGEN Estrogen dominance (excess) can also cause hormonal acne, which is connected to a menstrual cycle. Typically the liver can not clear excess estrogen due to a fatty liver or even cirrhosis. This causes a a build up thus acne. Certain medications can also cause this. The enzyme aromatase, which converts testosterone into DHT (a powerful form of testosterone) can be triggered in excess due to liver dysfunction. If this happens add more Cruciferous vegetables or better yet DIM, which is a concentrated form of cruciferous. Stinging Nettle Root is a great plant to add as well. I combined DIM with cruciferous vegetables with stinging nettle root in my product called Estrogen Balance with DIM as listed at the top of this description -check it out. What is Strontium?

Strontium is the most abundant trace mineral on earth and its main function is to help increase bone density. It greatly benefits the outer shell of the bone making it very rigid and hard. It also helps prevent hip fractures. It is important NOT to take those elemental (inorganic) ones when dealing with trace minerals. He also talks about the problem with absorbing these minerals. This is very important mineral for people who have osteopenia and osteoporosis. Two Forms of Chemicals: • Inorganic – similar to rocks in the soil. (Elements) • Organic – Weaker bonds that are much easier to absorb by our body. The plant helps absorb these elemental inorganic minerals and turned them into different weaker bonds called organic minerals. Alkaline Stomach Indication (not having enough acid): • Heartburn • Acid Reflux • GERD Type of calcium that is recommended to take is the Calcium Aspartate Anhydrous and vitamin D3 (atleast 10,000 IU). *It is important that you make sure that your stomach is acidic because if your stomach is not acidic, you are not going to absorb these minerals no matter what. Apple Cider Vinegar with each meal is important. Hey guys, I’m back and in this video, I want to answer the question is it okay to take the trace mineral Strontium for Osteoporosis? So let’s just talk about that. This trace mineral is the most abundant trace mineral on planet earth and its main function is to help increase bone density. Its chemistry is most similar to calcium but this trace mineral is really good to make the outer shell of the bone very rigid and hard and also to help prevent hip fractures. So here’s the big issue with these trace minerals, minerals comes in two forms; in organic and organic. Inorganic would be similar to rocks in the soil, they’re elements. And what happens is the plant supposed to help absorb these elemental inorganic minerals and turned them into different weaker bonds and we called organic minerals. Organic minerals have weaker bonds that are much easier to absorb by our body and process. When you are dealing with trace minerals it is important NOT to take those elemental (inorganic) ones because your body can’t really absorb it too well. You want to take plant based trace minerals like this one. This is all plant based, prehistoric vegetation like 70 million years old and this is in the form that the body can absorb. So when you are trying to build bone in addition to taking this, you want to take calcium and vitamin D. The type of calcium I am gonna recommend is something called Calcium Aspartate Anhydrous. This is a really good type of calcium that absorbs like 98%. And then vitamin D3 make sure you get the D3 and not the D2 and I would recommend atleast 10,000 IUs unless you are getting regular sun to the day. AlgaeCal: Treat Osteoporosis, Naturally

04:15
Watch as Dean Neuls, Founder and CEO discusses natural osteoporosis treatments and the missing link to your bone health. For more information, the latest research and facts, check out http://www.algaecal.com Transcript: "You probably know that we typically lose 1% of our bone density every year after age 40, right? As we age, our bones become thin, which is called osteoporosis. But exactly which elements are we losing in that 1% of bone. In other words, what are your bones composed of? Calcium, yes. But they also contain magnesium and zinc and boron and vanadium. A total of more than 70 minerals in a collagen protein base. So the 1% you lose every year are all these 70 minerals plus protein. So what would be the most logical treatment? When you discovered you had osteoporosis what treatment was recommended? Was it to increase your dietary intake of the 70 minerals and protein you’re losing? Probably not. You were asked instead to take two things. #1 you were asked to take a drug which stop the normal remodelling process so that the old worn out bits of your bone are kept in your skeleton and #2 you were asked to take large amounts of only one of the minerals, calcium. Whether you agree with this treatment regimen or not, the FDA is investigating if it’s worth the risk for the long-term. That’s why the FDA is warned that taking the bone drugs called bisphosphonates are may cause quote, “severe or incapacitating bone pain” and in a similar FDA warning they suggest that, “taking bisphosphonates for more than 3-5 years may actually INCREASE your risk of breaking your femur” right below your hip. So assuming you take these drugs for a few years, what do you do for the rest of your life? The truth is, just as your muscles can be strengthened naturally, your bones can too when given all the nutrients they need. Of course that includes a healthy lifestyle with weight bearing exercise with adequate rest, avoid bone destroying toxins and getting healthy amounts of sunshine on bare skin. Now whether you choose bone drugs or not, you need proper nutritional support including the right kind of calcium complex. Traditional calcium supplementation has its limitations, remember the 1% of bone that you and I lose every year after age 40? Well, traditional calcium supplements just slow down that bone loss, somewhat. So they’re helpful, but they don’t build the bone you and I want and need. It actually makes perfect sense too that traditional calcium supplements don’t help much because calcium is a single element solution to a multi nutrient problem. It’s like trying to bake cookies with only flour, yum! Silly right? Well it gets even sillier because the flour is not even real, calcium supplement are made from a non-food source. You always hear about calcium being poorly absorbed, right? Well when I tell you that your calcium supplements are made from rocks, limestone and marble, it helps you understand why. If you look at the bottle in the cabinet right now it’ll say calcium carbonate or calcium citrate on the supplement facts panel. Just read that as rock. No wonder you have trouble swallowing, digesting and assimilating it. No wonder it only slows annual bone loss just a little bit. As you already know, you need flour, sugar eggs and more to make cookies and a multi nutrient approach is really what’s needed to building your bone density. You’ve lost 70 minerals so let’s just replace all of them. You’ve lost a long chain protein called collagen, so let’s make sure you have collagen building blocks. You also need vitamins like vitamin D, K2, and C in order for the calcium to be properly absorbed and placed into your bones. But how do you get this kind of nutritional support? Many who eat a healthy diet still end up with osteoporosis. It’s hard to get sufficient nutrition from food alone. What if I told you that there was a living plant, not a rock, but a living plant that contains a natural balance of minerals similar to human bone. Including sufficient amounts of calcium of course, in a body friendly absorbable form. And what if all the potentiating vitamins were added to this mineral complex. And what if it were clinically supported to not only slow down your bone loss but actually increase your bone density and strength in a year or less, even if you’re in your 80’s. Please look at our products overview video to learn about a practical and complete nutritional approach to bone health that will work for you."

Your Digestive System and How it Works

07:22
Gallbladder Formula: https://shop.drberg.com/gallbladder-formula-regular Find Your Body Type: http://bit.ly/BodyTypeQuiz The digestive system is an amazing machine of coordinated organs and glands, each with specific function. The stomach ads the acids, the pancreas adds enzymes, the gallbladder ads bile and if each one of these is off, you'll get acid reflux, GERD, indigestion, bloating, heart burn, gallstones, constipation and IBS. Understanding where things breaks down and isolating the true cause can avoid the "symptom treating" game, which never works. BOOK REVIEW with author and Naturopathic Dr. Kate Rheaume-Bleue on her newest book: Vitamin K2 & The Calcium Paradox. Kate Rhéaume-Bleue, N.D. graduated from McMaster University with an honors BSc in Biology and completed her professional training at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto, class of 2002. She followed with a two-year residency during which she taught classes and supervised at various teaching clinics. Dr. Kate is a Canadian expert in natural medicine and a contributing editor to several health-related publications including Vitamin K2 and the Calcium Paradox: How a Little Known Vitamin Can Save Your Life. View this product at: http://www.nationalnutrition.ca/SearchResult.aspx?categoryid=455 Vitamin K&D: http://www.nationalnutrition.ca/detail.aspx?ID=2867 Vitamin K2 and The Calcium Paradox: The secret to avoiding calcium-related osteoporosis and atherosclerosis While millions of people take calcium and Vitamin D supplements thinking they're helping their bones, the truth is, without the addition of Vitamin K2, such a health regimen could prove dangerous. Without Vitamin K2, the body cannot direct calcium to the bones where it's needed; instead, the calcium resides in soft tissue (like the arteries)--leading to a combination of osteoporosis and atherosclerosis, or the dreaded "calcium paradox." This is the first book to reveal how universal a Vitamin K2 deficiency is, and the risk (in the form of cancer and diabetes, among other ailments) the absence of Vitamin K2 poses. Written by Dr. Kate Rheaume-Bleue, a popular health expert on Canadian television and radio, "Vitamin K2 and the Calcium Paradox" sounds a warning about the popularity of the calcium and Vitamin D craze, while illustrating the enormous health benefits of Vitamin K2 in making the body less susceptible to dental cavities, heart disease, prostate cancer, liver cancer, diabetes, wrinkles, obesity, varicose veins, and other ailments. The book demystifies this obscure supernutrient--a fat soluble vitamin that humans once thrived on, ignored by scientists for almost seventy years Details how the consumption of grass-fed animals led to adequate Vitamin K2 intake--while grain-based animal feed helped eradicate Vitamin K2 from our diets Describes how doctors are raising recommended doses of calcium and Vitamin D--without prescribing Vitamin K2Details more damning facts about transfats--and how the creation of a synthetic Vitamin K interfered with the body's Vitamin K metabolism An essential book for anyone interested in bone health, or maintaining their overall health, "Vitamin K2 and the Calcium Paradox" is the guide to taking the right combination of supplements--and adding Vitamin K2 to a daily regimen. Strawberry Juice: Benefits, Uses And Recipe Strawberry Juice

09:12
Strawberry Juice: Benefits, Uses And Recipe Strawberry juice is a delicious and refreshing beverage that is packed with nutrients and antioxidants; while it may not be the most common fruit juice available on the market, it is definitely worth adding to your health regimen. What is Strawberry Juice? Strawberry juice is made from strawberries, which means that most of the nutrients are maintained, with the notable exception of the dietary fiber found in these plump red berries. Strawberries are scientifically classified in the Fragaria genus, while the most popular cultivars or species are Fragaria x ananassa and the wild strawberry, Fragaria vesca. Due to its sweet flavor and juiciness, as well as the ease of cultivation and diverse uses, strawberries are some of the most popular fruits around the world. Strawberry juice is considered a low-calorie weight loss food that can also deliver a concentrated burst of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants to the body. Strawberry juice is rich in vitamin C, potassium, folic acid, manganese, copper, zinc, vitamin E, calcium, B-family vitamins, polyphenolic compounds and natural sugars, all of which can have a measurable effect on various systems in our body. The juice from this popular fruit can be consumed on its own or mixed with other fruit juices for a tart, healthy and energizing beverage at any time of day! Benefits of Strawberry Juice Some of the most impressive health benefits of strawberry juice include its ability to support skin health, strengthen the immune system, lower blood pressure, boost circulation, prevent birth defects, increase bone mineral density, optimize the metabolism, speed the healing process, protect vision health, prevent certain cancers and regulates blood sugar. Skin Care Boasting antioxidants and key vitamins, such as vitamin E and C, this juice is ideal for treating skin inflammation and irritation, while reducing the appearance of lines and wrinkles, as well as age spots and blemishes. The juice can be consumed normally or applied topically for these effects. Improves Bone Strength With manganese, copper, iron, phosphorus, potassium and zinc, this juice can definitely help supplement your mineral intake and increase bone mineral density, lowering your risk of osteoporosis as you age. Reduces Blood Pressure The significant levels of potassium in strawberry juice make it excellent for lowering your blood pressure and reducing the strain on the cardiovascular system. Potassium is a vasodilator that lowers the tension on blood vessels and arteries, protecting against heart attacks, strokes and atherosclerosis. Controls Diabetes Dietary fiber has the ability to regulate blood sugar levels in the body, which eliminates the spikes and drops of blood sugar that can be so dangerous for diabetic patients. If you blend your strawberry juice, rather than extracting the juice, you will benefit from the fiber. Boosts Circulation Strawberry juice has a significant level of iron and other key minerals that can give your circulatory system a boost, thus providing the resources and oxygen that cells and tissues in your body need to properly function. Prevents Cancer Vitamin C, ellagic acid, phytonutrients and folic acid can all play a key role in the body’s fight against cancer. Fortunately, strawberries have ample amounts of these active ingredients, making this delectable juice a very effective tool for lowering your cancer risk by lowering oxidative stress and preventing chronic disease. Improves Metabolic Activity B-family vitamins are key players in metabolic activity, regulating everything from energy production to hormone balance and strawberry juice offers high levels of vitamin B6, folate, riboflavin, niacin and thiamine. Speeds Healing The high levels of vitamin C and ellagic acid, along with a dense supply of minerals and vitamins, this juice can stimulate the body to start the healing process, which speeds up the recovery time following illness, injury or surgery. How to Make Strawberry Juice? Strawberry juice is relatively easy to make at home, as this isn’t the most common option in the fruit juice category. It is important to know that strawberry juice is very potent and is usually used in a concentrated form, which means you need to add water to the syrup to produce this juice. Some people who prefer traditional “juicing” methods will insist that there shouldn’t be any fibrous material left over from the strawberries. However, blending strawberries into a smoothie or a slightly thicker juice is an excellent way to derive even more health benefits. If you want to blend your strawberries, simply add 2 tablespoons of sugar and 1 cup of water to 1 pound of chopped strawberries in the blender. To create strawberry juice concentrate, follow the instructions below.

Seniors and Nutritional Supplements What Do You Need

Seniors and Nutritional Supplements What Do You Need. A Healthy Diet May Not Be Enough: Maturing and Nutritional Supplements. Since numerous age-related sicknesses and prescription reactions change how seniors retain vitamins and minerals, people who once experienced sufficient vitamin and mineral admission through a solid eating regimen and way of life may need to consider adding wholesome supplements to their every day routine keeping in mind the end goal to compensate for the unabsorbed supplements. For instance, a few medicines are diarrhetics and can deplete your assortment of basic minerals and vitamins because of expanded pee. People determined to have kidney issues may need to diminish their potassium consumption. Basically, our bodies are continually changing, and our bodies are for the most part extraordinary. As we change and age, we don't utilize supplements as viably as we used to, so I did some exploration to get to the base of this entire seniors taking vitamins banter about. I invested significant energy in different sites, and found that the most accommodating and reliable data regarding this matter (as I would like to think) originated from The Linus Paul Institute of Oregon State University, whose concentration is inquiring about Health Maintenance, and The Food and Nutrition Board of the National Institute of Medicine. *I needed to see which vitamins we ought to be centered the most around as we age, and here is an outline of my discoveries: "The objective of these investigations is to comprehend the systems by which eating regimen, micronutrients, and dietary supplements influence ailment start and movement and can be utilized as a part of the counteractive action or treatment of human illnesses, in this way improving life expectancy and wellbeing range." - Excerpt from "About The Linus Paul Institute" site page Vitamins B6 and B12: Vitamin B12 is expected to keep up mental comprehension and a few investigations recommend it is connected to avoiding dementia. Be that as it may, our bodies' capacity to keep B vitamins in decreases, and B vitamins don't remain in the framework for long. This one, I would prescribe conversing with your specialist about a supplement, in addition, eating more nourishments where B vitamins happen normally, for example, dairy items. Vitamin C: Alongside the detectable abating of your process with age, your invulnerable framework bit by bit moderates as well. Vitamin C is fundamental for keeping that safe framework working at an ideal level so it can secure every cell in your body. Vitamin C is a cancer prevention agent and cancer prevention agents kill free radicals that demolish your sound cells. This vitamin additionally helps in the creation of collagen, an indispensable segment of your skin and connective tissue for legitimate mending of wounds, and also bolsters solid mind cell capacities. Nutrition Tips for Improving Your Health - Hindi

01:50
The natural remedy to staying healthy is to follow a good exercise, diet, and sleep regimen. Dr. Gurudutta gives you tips to stay healthy and prevent illnesses if conventional medicine isn't for you! Good nutrition is one of the keys to good health. Good nutrition means eating foods that have a lot of vitamins and minerals in them, and foods that are not high in fat. For most people, foods that are high in fiber are a good choice, and almost everyone should eat five servings of fruits and vegetables every day. Do I need to change what I eat? Has your doctor talked with you about a medical problem or a risk factor, such as high blood pressure or high cholesterol? Did your doctor tell you that this condition could be improved by better nutrition? Do diabetes, cancer, heart disease, or osteoporosis run in your family? Are you overweight, or have you gained weight over the years? Do you have questions about what kinds of foods you should eat or whether you should take vitamins? Do you think that you would benefit from seeing a nutritionist? (A nutritionist is a registered dietitian who specializes in nutrition counseling.) Will it be hard to change my eating habits? Probably, but even small changes can improve your health a lot. The main point is to keep trying to eat the right foods. Stay in touch with your doctor and nutritionist, to let them know how you are doing. Here are a few suggestions to help you improve your eating habits: Find the strong points and weak points in your current diet. Do you eat three to five servings of fruits and vegetables every day? Do you get enough calcium? Do you eat high-fiber foods regularly? If so, good! You are on the right track. Keep it up. If not, you can learn the changes you need to make. Make small, slow changes, instead of trying to make big, fast changes. Small changes will be easier to stick with. Every few days, keep track of your food intake by writing down everything you ate and drank that day. Use this record to help you see if you need to eat more from food groups such as vegetables and fruits, or less from food groups such as meat and poultry. Think about asking for help from a nutritionist if you have not already done so—especially if you have a medical problem that requires you to follow a special diet. Can I trust nutrition information I get from newspapers and magazines? Nutrition tips from different sources can sometimes disagree with each other. You should always check with your doctor first. Also, keep in mind this advice: There is no “magic bullet” when it comes to nutrition. Short-term diets may help you lose weight, but they are difficult to keep up and even may be unhealthy in the long run. Good nutrition does not come in a pill. You can take a vitamin pill to be sure you are getting enough vitamins and minerals, but your body benefits the most from the vitamins in healthy foods. Eating small amounts of a variety of foods is best for your body. Learn to try new foods. Remember, stories from people who have used a diet program or product, especially the ones in commercials and infomercials, are advertisements. Regained weight or other problems that come up after someone has completed the program are never talked about in those ads. What changes can I make now in my diet? Almost everyone can benefit from cutting back on fat. If you currently eat a lot of fat, try just one or two of these changes: Eat three to four servings of low-fat dairy products every day. You can use reduced-fat cheeses and fat-free yogurt. For example, if you make pizza at home, try using part-skim mozzarella cheese on top. If you eat meat, eat it baked, grilled, and broiled rather than fried. Take the skin off before eating chicken. Eat fish at least once a week. Cut back on extra fat, such as butter or margarine on bread, sour cream on baked potatoes, and salad dressings. Eat plenty of fruits and vegetables with your meals and as snacks. When eating away from home, watch out for “hidden” fats (such as that in salad dressing and desserts) and be especially careful of oversized portions. Read the nutrition labels on foods before you buy them. If you need help understanding the labels, ask your doctor or your nutritionist. During the day, drink no-calorie or low-calorie beverages, such as water, unsweetened tea or coffee, and diet soda. Balanced nutrition and regular exercise are good for your health even if your weight never changes. So try to set goals that you have a good chance of reaching, such as making one of the small changes in this handout or walking one more day per week.
