😧 Warning Signs And Symptoms Of Cervical Cancer | How to Know If You Have Cervical Cancer

Cervical cancer is one of the most common cancers in women worldwide. It occurs in the cells of the cervix, the lower part of the uterus that connects to the vagina. Please watch this video until the end to know the complete information. The American Cancer Society estimates that about 12,900 new cases of cervical cancer will be diagnosed and about 4,100 women will die from this disease in 2017. These estimations are shocking but true. Almost all cases of cervical cancer are caused by a virus called human papillomavirus (HPV). Women of all ages are at risk of developing this cancer after they begin having sexual intercourse. Risk factors include unsafe sex, multiple sex partners, being overweight, use of oral contraceptives, genetics, smoking, poor immunity, multiple pregnancies and first pregnancy at a young age. Being an adult woman, if you notice any unusual changes or symptoms affecting your reproductive organs, consult your doctor. This is what might happen, if you have cervical cancer. 1. Abnormal Vaginal Bleeding. Most women diagnosed with cervical cancer experience irregular bleeding. An untimely bout of vaginal bleeding that occurs regularly could be an indicator of cervical cancer. It could also be due to other medical conditions, such as a hormonal imbalance, pelvic inflammatory disease or an infection in the pelvic organs. As cancer spreads to nearby tissues, it creates new, abnormal capillaries that break easily and cause bleeding. Such bleeding may happen between menstrual periods, after sexual intercourse, after menopause and even after a pelvic exam. 2. Unusual Vaginal Discharge. A little bit of clear, odorless vaginal discharge is normal. However, if vaginal discharge increases, smells foul or has an irregular appearance, it could be a sign of infection or cervical or endometrial cancer. When suffering from cervical cancer, vaginal discharge could be heavy, pale, watery, brown or mixed with blood. 3. Pain during Intercourse. Painful intercourse is another important warning sign of cervical cancer. This symptom indicates advanced cervical cancer, which means the cancer has spread throughout tissues and reproductive organs. Apart from pain, you may also experience other symptoms, such as thick, foul-smelling vaginal discharge. There are other possible reasons for this particular problem, such as an infection or STD. 4. Pelvic Pain. Pelvic pain is common among women. Cramping and aches are a normal part of the menstrual cycle and do not usually indicate the presence of cancer or any other serious condition. However, pain that lasts for longer periods of time and occurs more frequently could be a sign of cervical cancer. If suffering from cervical cancer, you may experience pelvic pain at unusual times, and the pain may start suddenly at any time during the month. In addition, such pain usually does not occur unless the cancer is in a very advanced stage. 5. Discomfort while Urinating. Cervical cancer can also cause discomfort during urination. In fact, it is one of the most obvious and prevalent symptoms of this deadly disease. Urinary discomforts include burning, stinging or a tight sensation while urinating. Such symptoms occur when the cancer has spread to nearby tissue. This requires immediate attention to prevent further damage. However, urinary discomforts also can be due to other causes, such as a urinary tract infection, bladder problem, yeast infection or sexually transmitted disease (STD). 6. Heavier and Longer Menstrual Periods. Menstrual periods that are heavier and longer than normal are another common warning sign of cervical cancer. Irritation of the cervix, possibly due to spread of cervical cancer, can cause this problem. Bleeding is considered heavy if you have to change sanitary napkins or tampons more often than once every 2 hours. Apart from cancer, heavy bleeding can be due to a hormonal imbalance, fibroids, polyps, pelvic inflammatory disease, endometriosis or thyroid, liver or kidney disease. It can even happen due to certain medications. Any change in the consistency of monthly periods should be discussed with your doctor. Remember that prevention is better than the cure. Do not ignore any of these symptoms and Get your cervix examined by your doctor. Thanks for watching. Signs and Symptoms of Cervical Cancer

Dr. McDonald talks about some of the common symptoms of cervical cancer, such as abnormal bleeding. Watch the video to learn more. Matt McDonald, MD: A common question I am asked is what are the warning signs and symptoms of cervical cancer? And when thinking of cervical cancer, it's important to categorize that as precancer or precursor of a cancer called cervical dysplasia and cervical cancer. Cervical cancer in and of itself really the most common warning sign or symptom from that really is abnormal bleeding. Most importantly or what you'll read in a textbook is something called postcoital bleeding which is unforeseen or abnormal vaginal bleeding after sexual intercourse and that usually happens because the cervical cancerous cells are irritated during intercourse and they are friable and bleed easily when they are touched. So if a woman complains of abnormal bleeding after intercourse, they certainly should seek attention by their physician. Other warning signs that we see with cervical cancer are more indolent and insidious and what I mean by that is they really don't have any symptoms related to the GYN organs. At lot of times when we see patients come in with advanced cervical cancer, which is when we really don't want to catch patients, we have symptoms that really have to do with the kidneys not working or otherwise known as kidney failure that happens sometimes when the cervical cancer becomes so large that it will block the flow of urine from the kidney to the bladder and result in kidney failure and those patients come in with all kinds of symptoms of fatigue, nausea, etc., that really are symptoms related to the kidney failure not necessarily to the cervix. So our goal really is to catch women and find cervical cancer in its early stages. In the early stage symptoms usually have to do with this entity of postcoital bleeding. Alarmingly, though a lot of patients when they develop early cervical cancer like stage 1 and stage 2 have no symptoms not even the abnormal bleeding and so what we really try to do is catch cervical cancer before it exist and that is where we go from a screening standpoint in hopes of preventing cervical cancer and the most effective means of preventing cervical cancer is the Pap smear, and that requires regular visits to the gynecologist or your family practitioner, etc. That's the most effective means of preventing cervical cancer. Without Pap smears, we have no idea where our patent is in the continuum of cervical dysplasia and that's why in certain developing countries where Pap smear surveillance is not a regular part of a woman's life, cervical cancers still the leading cause of cancer related deaths in some women. In countries such as the United States, where cervical cancer screening with Pap smears is a regular event, we have done an enormous job at preventing cervical cancers. So that is the far the best most effective screening mechanisms, regular exams, and Pap smears. Learn more about Dr. McDonald: http://presbyteriangyncancer.org/?id=5013&sid=123

Warning Women: Never Ignore These 7 Signs Of Cervical Cancer!

03:53
Warning Women: Never Ignore These 7 Signs Of Cervical Cancer! Cervical cancer is a type of cancer which is triggered by HPV (human papillomavirus) that is very infectious. The HPV is a sexually transmitted infection which has more than 100 variations. Some of the variations can cause cervical cancer, which is one of the most dangerous types of gynecologic cancer. The HPV can vanish by itself if the immune system is strong enough to fight it, however it can in some cases cause abnormal cell growth which can turn into cervical malignancy. 7 SIGNS OF CERVICAL CANCER Although cervical cancer does not produce obvious signs like breast cancer, it can still be discovered early if you know what signs to try to find. Visit a gynaecologist immediately in case you have any of the signs: UNUSUAL DISCHARGE Unusual discharge is a common sign of this type of cancer since once the cancer starts growing inside the cervix, the cells of the uterine lining start secreting watery discharge. WARTS As gynaecologist Rosa Maria Leme says: “The appearance of small warts (external or internal) serves as a warning for some diseases such as HPV, which seriously increases the chances of cervical cancer in women.” PAIN OR BLEEDING Pelvic pain and bleeding are also common signs of cervical cancer due to the fact that the walls of the cervix dry out as well as crack due to the abnormal cell growth. Rectal or bladder bleeding can also occur though in the more advanced stages. Any bleeding outside your menstrual period requires immediate medical attention. ANEMIA Anemia often accompanies cervical cancer due to the fact that it’s caused by excessive bleeding, another sign of this cancer. If your eating habits are the same, however you constantly feel tired, or your heart beat increases even at the slightest effort, you need to get examined for anemia and the factor behind it. URINARY ISSUES Trouble urinating is another sign of cervical cancer that happens as a result of swelling of the cervix, which presses the bladder and kidneys impeding the passage of urine. This leads to inability to empty your bladder completely, pain while urinating and/or a urinary tract infection. CONSTANT PAIN IN THE LEGS, HIPS OR BACK A swollen cervix does not only impact your kidneys and bladder, however also your internal organs. It may put pressure on the blood vessels and inhibit blood flow to the hips and legs, thus producing pain and swelling in the legs and ankles. WEIGHT LOSS Loss of appetite and weight accompanies most types of cancer. In the case of cervical cancer, the swollen cervix puts pressure on the stomach, resulting in appetite and weight loss. Keep in mind: It’s essential to have in mind that these symptoms can also be produced by other conditions. Nevertheless, reporting them to your gynaecologist is crucial for early detection. There are numerous risk factors that can result in contracting an HPV infection, found in both men and women. THE BEST-KNOWN RISK FACTORS FOR CERVICAL CANCER ARE: Cigarette smoking or inhaling second-hand smoke Having several sexual partners Having unprotected sex Having low immunity As we mentioned earlier, an HPV infection is the origin of cervical cancer, so being able to read the symptoms and signs of HPV is vital for this cancer. Having regular Pap smear tests once or twice a year also increases your chances of early detection. Don’t skip the visits to your gynaecologist! They may save your life!

7 Cervical Cancer Symptoms You Should Absolutely Never Ignore

06:06
7 Cervical Cancer Symptoms You Should Absolutely Never Ignore The stirrups... the speculum... the jelly that your gyno never seems to get totally cleaned up. Yeah, Paps are a (somewhat literal) pain, but cervical cancer was once the number-one leading cause of cancer death in American, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Now, thanks to Paps, which can ID issues before they become cancerous, it doesn't even crack the top 10. Still, the American Cancer Society estimates that 13,240 new cases of invasive cervical cancer will be diagnosed in 2018—31 percent of which will be fatal. And the CDC reports that six out of every 10 cervical cancers occur in women who have never received a Pap test or have not been tested in the past five years. (FYI, all women between the ages of 21 and 65 years old should be getting a Pap smear every three years from 21 to 30, and every five years from 30 to 65, according to the CDC.) “In fact, one of the biggest risk factors of getting cervical cancer is not having had a Pap smear within the past five years," says Eloise Chapman-Davis, M.D., a gynecological oncologist at Weill Cornell Medicine and New York-Presbyterian. However, she notes that you shouldn’t just rely on a Pap to flag any issues. It's also important to watch out for cervical cancer symptoms, which can develop in cases of more developed cancer growths. Translation: If you spot any symptoms of cervical cancer, it's worth talking to your gyno and getting checked out asap. 1. Totally Not-Normal Vaginal Bleeding “One of the most common symptoms of cervical cancer is vaginal bleeding, whether it’s in between your periods, after sex, or after menopause,” says Taraneh Shirazian, M.D., a gynecologist at NYU Langone Health. Abnormal vaginal bleeding is generally a symptom of advanced cervical cancer, because it means that a tumor on the cervix is spreading to affect nearby tissue, Chapman-Davis adds. Call your gyno asap. 2. Periods That Are Heavy AF This isn’t about your period lasting a day longer or suddenly seeming a bit darker. “Rather, it’s your period all of sudden lasting two weeks instead of four days, or having two periods in one month,” says Shirazian. But to play it safe, it you have any changes in your cycle that last for at least two cycles (heavier, lighter, whatever!), it's worth talking to your gynecologist, she says. 3. WTF-Worthy Vaginal Discharge Discharge is totally normal, but the type of discharge you experience could be an indicator of a number of different vaginal health issues. “With cervical cancer, you might notice a discharge that’s foul-smelling and pink, brown, or bloody, potentially with chunks of tissue, or what we call necrotic material,” says Shirazian. And because “masses and tumors secrete fluid, that could contribute to a continuous, watery discharge that seems to occur for no reason,” says Chapman-Davis. Go ahead and give your gyno a call. 4. Pelvic, Back, or Leg Pain Pelvic pain could be an indicator of changes to the cervix, but advanced cervical cancer can even spread to the bladder, intestines, or even the lungs and liver, says Chapman-Davis. “Then you might have things like back pain or leg pain,” she says. “But that’s typically associated with very advanced cases because the cervix isn’t really affecting a lot of nerves.” Talk to your primary care doc to rule out cervical cancer as well as other potential nerve causes. 5. Major Fatigue Because most cervical cancer symptoms don’t come along until it enters more advanced stages, it does share some symptoms with all cancers. "Fatigue is definitely one of those symptoms," says Shirazian. One reason why: Abnormal vaginal bleeding, one of the major symptoms of cervical cancer, can actually lower the amount of red blood cells and oxygen in the body, causing you to feel utterly exhausted all the time, usually with no other explanation. If you are dealing with chronic fatigue, your doctor will likely check your iron and red blood cell levels. check out these five signs 6. Feeling Like You're Going To Barf—All The Time 7. However, you should make an appointment with your health care provider and get checked. Bacterial vaginosis is a type of vaginal infection. Although many women who have BV don’t have symptoms, the ones that do often complain of a fishy smelling vaginal odor and a milky-white, or gray vaginal discharge that’s either light or heavy. The odor can become worse at the time or your period or after unprotected sexual intercourse. When semen mixes with vaginal secretions, the odor becomes stronger. 6 Subtle Signs Of Cervical Cancer Every Woman Should Know

04:48
6 Subtle Signs Of Cervical Cancer Every Woman Should Know For most cervical cancer sufferers, the first sign of the disease isn't an odd pain or unusual sensation. It's an abnormal Pap test. "At the early stages, there really are no symptoms," says Matthew Anderson, MD, PhD, an assistant professor of obstetrics and gynecology at Baylor College of Medicine. And as is the case with most cancers, the early stages are also the time when treatment outcomes are rosiest. That's why both the CDC and the American Cancer Society recommend that all women start undergoing regular Pap tests at age 21. (Here are the top 10 cancer symptoms most people ignore.) If that Pap test turns up abnormal cells—sometimes referred to as "pre-cancer"—or other signs of the disease, Anderson says treatment usually involves a hysterectomy. That surgery tends to be very successful, he says. On the other hand, if you're noticing symptoms, your cancer may be fairly advanced. "A cure is still possible at that stage, but it's a lot more complex," Anderson says. That cure will probably involve radiation or chemotherapy, and the outcomes are less certain, he says. 1.Abnormal bleeding Unusual vaginal bleeding is the symptom most strongly linked to cervical cancer, says Joshua Cohen, MD, a gynecologic oncologist at UCLA. "This could be bleeding after intercourse or between periods," he says. Heavier-than-normal periods or bleeding after menopause are also potential signs of cervical cancer, according to the American Cancer Society. 2.Pelvic pain Along with abnormal bleeding, Anderson refers to pelvic pain as "one of the biggies." He says the pain could be diffuse, or it could show up in any area of your pelvis. It could also range from a sharp pain to a dull ache. Especially if the pain is new or doesn't seem related to your menstrual cycle, you'll want to let your doctor know about it, Anderson says. Pain during sex or urination are also warning signs. (Heal your whole body with the Doctors Book of Natural Healing Remedies.) 3.Strange discharge A cloudy, foul-smelling discharge is also a potential red flag, Anderson says. "[The discharge] could also be watery," he adds. Of course, there are many causes of abnormal vaginal discharge that have nothing to do with cancer. So don't freak out. Just talk with your doc. 4.Fatigue Anderson says you can add cervical cancer to the long list of health issues that could make you feel fatigued or sluggish. "This isn't the first symptom I'd look for, but it could be present." 5.Changes to bowel movements Peeing often or feeling like you always have to go are symptoms associated with the disease, Cohen says. So are persistent changes in the quality of your poop. Cohen says the emphasis here—and with all of these symptoms, save bleeding—is on the word "persistent." He says experiencing these symptoms for less than a week isn't anything to worry about. But if they stick around or become worse, it's time to see someone. 6.You smoke (or used to smoke) Yes, this is a risk factor, not a symptom. But smokers and former smokers should know their tobacco habit could roughly double their risk for the disease, per a study in the International Journal of Cancer. Anderson says all of the above symptoms—if caused by cervical cancer—are most likely to appear during your late 30s, 40s, or 50s. "We see cervical cancer in women as young as 20, and also much later in life, but the median age is mid-40s," he explains. The good news: You've no doubt heard there is now a vaccine that helps safeguard women from human papillomavirus (HPV), a common type of infection that causes nearly all cases of cervical cancer, per the CDC. As more and more young women are vaccinated, cases of cervical cancer (and other, less-common HPV cancers) should plummet. You may have been taught early on to cleanse your private parts daily with strong soap or "feminine hygiene" sprays, but these practices can actually do more harm than good. To have a healthy Front bottom, clean the area with medium-hot water only to avoid disrupting your natural pH, change menstrual products frequently to prevent bacterial growth, and wipe front to back when using the toilet. You should also adopt some minor lifestyle changes, eat foods that boost your vaginal health (e.g., yogurt, fruit, garlic), and do kegel exercises to keep your vaginal area healthy and strong overall. Why Does My VAG Smell - Health Care

03:48
Why Does My Vagina Smell 6 Vaginal Odors Every Woman Needs to Know About #1. Musky When your vagina is healthy, its scent can vary based on your activity level. For instance, after a super-intense spin class, you may notice a stronger, muskier smell due to moisture released by sweat glands in the surrounding region, according to Dr. Wider. While this tends to be 100 percent normal, any scent that bothers you enough to want to cover it up warrants a call to your doctor just in case something more serious is up, since an out-of-the-ordinary or intolerable change could signal an infection, according to ACOG. #2. Fishy If your vagina gives off a strong, fishy odor that smells foul, chances are you're suffering from an infection, according to ACOG. If the odor increases right after sex, or it's accompanied by an increase in discharge, it could be bacterial vaginosis, a condition marked by an overgrowth of bacteria that upsets the vagina's delicate PH balance, which can be cleared up with antibiotics. Or, if you notice green discharge, vaginal itching, and pain when you pee, you could have trichomoniasis, a common and treatable sexually transmitted disease. Either way, you'll want to see your doctor for treatment — and never resort to douching, since the practice has been linked to hormonal disruptions, chronic disease, and reproductive and developmental problems as well as heightened risk of ovarian cancer. #3. Bleachy Dr. Wider says lubricants or condoms can contribute to this this smell, which most women liken to chlorine or bleach, she says. Luckily, it's nothing to be worried about — just restock your sex drawer if these scents bother you. #4. Yeasty While there's normally a small amount of yeast present inside your vagina, yeast infections occur when there's an overgrowth due to lubrications, spermicides, antibiotic use, or even pregnancy, according to ACOG. You'll know something's up if you notice a faint, bread-like smell along with cottage cheese-like discharge. While you should inform your doctor to confirm this diagnosis, most yeast infections can be cured with OTC anti-fungal medications, according to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC). #5. Tinny If your vagina seems to smell a bit off or vaguely metallic when you get your period, don't sound the alarms. See, when you have your period, the blood can mix with the natural state of a healthy vagina and give off a different — but typically normal — smell, according to Dr. Wider. #6. Sweet Anecdotally, your diet can affect the taste and scent of your vagina. For instance, citrus fruits like oranges, pineapple, and grapefruit have been known to sweeten the smell and taste of vaginal fluids, according to Dr. Wider. On the other hand, onions, garlic, broccoli, and asparagus can cause what some describe as an "unpleasant" odor and taste, she says. Hey, to each their own!

This happens because the cervix swells and prevents normal blood flow, ultimately causing this painful sensation. Vaginal discharge: Vaginal discharge is normal when it is secreted infrequently and without color or odor. If vaginal discharge increases, it secretes more often, it smells and has an irregular appearance, it is best to consult a doctor because it can be a clear symptom of cervical cancer. Unusual bleeding: This is one of the most common symptoms of cervical cancer. Some women have irregular periods and should consult a physician to determine the possible cause of the irregularity. If until now your periods have been normal and now you start bleeding between periods or after sexual intercourse, it is important to take warning and consult with a doctor. Pelvic pain: Pelvic pain is usually very common during a menstrual cycle. However, when the cramps and pelvic pain last longer than normal, or are more frequent or more intense, it is important to be alert and consult a specialist. Irregular urination: Apart from the discomfort, changes in urination habits can also be a key signal to detect this disease. If you begin to suffer from incontinence, urinating more often than usual, or you notice a discoloration, these are key warning signs. Pain during sexual intercourse: Feeling discomfort or pain during sexual intercourse is another key symptom in the detection of cervical cancer. In this case, it is best to consult a doctor to determine the reason for your pain during sexual intercourse. ******************************************************************* DISCLAIMER: The information in this video are provided for general and educational purposes only and do not constitute any legal, medical or other professional advice on any subject matter. 8 Cause A Foul Smell In The Female Genitalia

03:40
Women worry a lot about vaginal cleanliness, but still there comes a time when the place down there smells like onion. The natural smell in that place signifies normal heath whereas fishy smell could indicate that there is something wrong with it. Sometimes, it could be about cleanliness but sometimes, it isn't about hygiene. It could be various other factors like food, bacteria, secretions etc. Douching or using essential oils to clean the area could also cause the smell. If pain accompanies foul smell then it could indicate a serious issue which may require the attention of your gynecologist. 1. Food Sometimes, the smell down there could be due to certain foods you have consumed. Onions could cause foul smell down there. Some odour-producing items are garlic, onion and other spicy curries. 2. Bacterial Vaginosis If the normal levels of bacteria in private areas get disturbed, it could cause overgrowth. In such a case, a fishy odour and grey discharge could also follow. 3. Sweat Sweat could be one reason behind the odour. Vaginal fluid combined with sweat could emit a peculiar kind of foul odour. Soon after you get back from the gym, change your clothes and wear something that allows your privates to breathe. 4. Tampons If you leave a tampon inside for too long, it could cause a fishy smell; but once you remove the tampon, the smell will be gone. But leaving tampons could result in infections. 5. Hormonal Changes Contraceptives, creams, menstrual cycles or anything that alters pH levels of the privates may cause smell. In some women who reach menopause, a dip in the estrogen levels could be the reason. 6. Lovemaking In some women, the smell could occur after making love as semen could alter the smell down there. 7. Trichomoniasis This is a parasite infection and could be transmitted through body contact. Symptoms include smelly discharge, pain during penetration/urination and irritation or itchy sensation. 8. Medications When you overuse antibiotics, the bacteria down there may get disturbed and this could cause odour. Also, some medications could dry out the place and alter the smell. 7 Cervical Cancer Symptoms You Should Absolutely Never Ignore

What causes blood in urine, odour & presence of abnormal cells in cervix? - Dr. H S Chandrika

03:32
Well, the causes of bloody urine can come from all the passage where the urine is produced. That is coming from the kidneys. Down we have the ureters and later we have the bladder, the urethra. Sometimes it can come at the outlet, that is the perineum. So the causes can be routine cases like kidney disease, of routine infections in the kidney, which is pyelonephritis. It can be due to diseases of the kidney like glomerulonephritis. It can be due to any infection or any physical cause in the ureters, the bladder or urethra. Sometimes it can be a simple thing like your menstrual cycle in which when you are collecting urine, it will get contaminated from the blood, that is in the vagina. So about other causes it can be kidney causes due to diabetes, which can be vasculitis or nephropathy of the kidneys and it can also be due to stones in the kidneys, in the ureters or in the bladder. These are the routine causes of blood in the urine. Again when we come to the second part of the question, it is about abnormal cells in the cervix. Cervix is nothing but the mouth of the uterus and abnormal cells in the cervix can be diagnosed by pap smear in which we have routine slide method and one is the liquid based cytology. Always liquid based cytology is the better option when we want to choose. So abnormal cells in the cervix means that it is also called as cervical intraepithelial neoplasia, that is the early stage of malignancy of the cervix. So the presence of this should be tackled properly and it is usually treated by a procedure called as leep. So if there is abnormal cells in the cervix, you meet your gynecologist and she will lead you on what has to be done. About the foul smelling urine, it may be due to some medicines that we take, which is some antibiotics which also gives rise to some smell. But more often it is the urinary infection that the patient itself gives a history that there is a urinary smell. When it is tested, it will be found to be urinary infection. Other than that some food particles which have pungent smell like garlic can also give rise to bad odour in the urine when it is consumed in large quantities and again, coming to the second part, coning to the abnormal cells in the cervix. Cervix is nothing but the mouth of the uterus. The finding of abnormal cells in the cervix is called as cervical intraepithelial neoplasia or CIN and this CIN can be diagnosed with investigation of the pap smear, which involves either the slide method or the liquid based cytology. It is always preferred to do the liquid based cytology compared to the slide method. So when you find CIN, it is called as early stage of cancer and it has to be tackled immediately. Usually the method adopted for cervical intraepithelial neoplasia is a procedure called as leap and also the commonest cause of this abnormal cells in the cervix is most due to the infection in the HPV virus. So I advise all of you to give your adolescent the vaccination of HPV in order to prevent cervical intraepithelial neoplasia and that way you are going to prevent cervical cancer also.

Signs And Symptoms of Prostate Cancer

10:05
Warning Signs of Prostate Cancer. Sadly, many men don't find out they have prostate cancer until the cancer has spread, nci prostate cancer making it more difficult to treat. This is because in the early stages, prostate cancer often doesn't have many symptoms. That's a problem because prostate cancer is the second most common kind of cancer in American men, after skin cancer, you must advanced prostate cancer symptoms. 1, Difficulty urinating. This may take the form of feeling like you have to go and then nothing comes out, stopping midstream, or having to go more often. Another sign is difficulty stopping, which often takes the form of extended dribbling, or the feeling that you still have to go even when you're done. Because the prostate gland surrounds the urethra. the tube that carries both urine and semen -- even a very small tumor in this location can interfere with urination or ejaculation. Bear in mind, however, that the prostate gland becomes enlarged in many men as they age, and this enlargement, known as benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), is the more likely cause of urinary problems and get best treatment for prostate cancer. 2, Pain while urinating. Again, the problem may be a prostate tumor pressing on the urethra. treatment of prostate cancer However, pain while urinating is a classic symptom of infection in the urinary tract. It can also signal an infection of the prostate, known as prostatitis. 3, Blood in the urine. facts about prostate cancer This sign is less common, and it's a reason to go straight to the doctor. It doesn't have to be very much blood; all you might notice is a pinkish tint or smear. Blood in the urine is often caused by infections in the bladder or prostate, by kidney stones, and by BPH. However, in some cases it's due to a tumor in the prostate, bladder, or kidney. 4, Difficulty getting or keeping an erection. Yes, this one's really hard to talk about. But if it's not happening when you want it to, or things get stuck "half-mast," it's time for a checkup. (Female partners need to tread delicately around this one, but if it's happening often enough to interfere with your s3x life on a regular basis, prostate cancer medicine find a moment to introduce the subject in a kind and nonthreatening way.) 5, Blood in the semen. This sign, like blood in the urine (#3), is often not described very clearly. It's not a large amount of blood, more like just enough to make semen pinkish or streaked, according to men with prostate cancer. prostate cancer drugs Gals, you can help with this one too; if you notice an odd color to semen after s3x, speak up. 6, Chronic constipation and other intestinal issues. The prostate gland is located below the bladder and in front of the rectum, so a tumor in this location can interfere with digestive functions. However, it's sort of a chicken-and-egg situation; chronic constipation can contribute to an enlarged prostate by putting pressure on the gland, and vice versa. Chronic constipation and intestinal problems can also be early indicators of colon cancer. 7, Frequent pain in the lower back, hips, or upper thighs. The most common sites for prostate cancer to spread are the lower back, pelvis, and hips. Unexplained pain and tenderness in these areas are signs of trouble. One way to distinguish this type of pain from run-of-the-mill sciatica and lower back pain is that it may feel deeper and more like a dull ache. However, experts say any lower back or hip pain that doesn't go away is a reason to see the doctor. 8, Having to pee in the middle of the night. This is one of the sly symptoms that men diagnosed with prostate cancer say they remember, now that they look back. If you find yourself waking more than once a night urgently needing to go, a trip to the doctor is in order. Bear in mind, though, that this symptom is far more likely to be caused by BPH or an overactive bladder than by prostate cancer. 9, Leaking or dribbling urine. Here's one almost no one talks about, but we need to. It's basically the male version of urinary incontinence, which typically occurs on a small but still noticeable scale. symptoms of prostate cancer Longer bathroom trips while you wait for the dribbling to stop or leakage on the way to the bathroom are the telltale signs. Women, if while doing the laundry you notice that his pants or jeans smell like pee, delicately suggest a visit to the doctor. 10, You're over 50 and have risk factors. Since early prostate cancer most often has no symptoms at all, men who are at risk need to talk to their doctors and consider having regular PSA tests and rectal exams (sorry!), whether they notice anything odd happening or not. Family history -- especially a father who had prostate cancer -- being overweight, eating a high-fat diet, being of African-American descent, and smoking all increase your risk of prostate cancer. 10 Warning Signs of Cervical Cancer You Should Not Ignore

03:18
1. Abnormal Vaginal Bleeding Most women diagnosed with cervical cancer experience irregular bleeding. An untimely bout of vaginal bleeding that occurs regularly could be an indicator of cervical cancer. It could also be due to other medical conditions, such as a hormonal imbalance, pelvic inflammatory disease or an infection in the pelvic organs. 2. Unusual Vaginal Discharge A little bit of clear, odorless vaginal discharge is normal. However, if vaginal discharge increases, smells foul or has an irregular appearance, it could be a sign of infection or cervical or endometrial cancer. 3. Pain during Intercourse Painful intercourse is another important warning sign of cervical cancer. This symptom indicates advanced cervical cancer, which means the cancer has spread throughout tissues and reproductive organs. Apart from pain, you may also experience other symptoms, such as thick, foul-smelling vaginal discharge. 4. Pelvic Pain Pelvic pain is common among women. Cramping and aches are a normal part of the menstrual cycle and do not usually indicate the presence of cancer or any other serious condition. However, pain that lasts for longer periods of time and occurs more frequently could be a sign of cervical cancer. 5. Discomfort while Urinating Cervical cancer can also cause discomfort during urination. In fact, it is one of the most obvious and prevalent symptoms of this deadly disease. 6. Heavier and Longer Menstrual Periods Menstrual periods that are heavier and longer than normal are another common warning sign of cervical cancer. Irritation of the cervix, possibly due to spread of cervical cancer, can cause this problem. Bleeding is considered heavy if you have to change sanitary napkins or tampons more often than once every 2 hours. 7. Loss of Bladder Control Needing frequent bathroom breaks is common among pregnant women and people who have increased their fluid intake. If you have this problem without any known reason, it may need further evaluation. Bladder control is a primary issue when suffering from cervical cancer. 8. Unexplained Weight Loss As with other forms of cancer, unexplained weight loss can indicate cervical cancer. When suffering from cancer, the immune system works hard to fight it. 9. Constant Fatigue A busy day can wear anyone out, but with a little rest, you feel refreshed and full of energy. If you are feeling low or lack of energy most of the time, despite resting, it could be a cause for concern. 10. Leg Pain Women diagnosed with cervical cancer often experience swelling and pain in their legs. When the cancer spreads, it obstructs blood flow, which causes swelling in the legs. Swollen legs often create a sore, painful sensation, making it hard to carry out your day-to-day activities. source : http://www.top10homeremedies.com/news-facts/10-warning-signs-of-cervical-cancer-you-should-not-ignore.html/2

My Vaginal Discharge Smells Like Vinegar

02:51
My vaginal discharge smells like vinegar. Discharge is normally a little acidic and smells a little like vinegar. We’ll just say the smell is bad enough to be more than normal. Fortunately, the cause of that isn’t as fishy as it sounds, I mean smells. It is a little fishy, yes, but I’m not used to it smelling like this. If you were used to yeast infections, you either have a depressed immune system or diabetes. I know out of control diabetes means high blood sugar. I didn’t think it could cause too much yeast in my own body. It could also be because you’re pregnant. The immune system decreases in some regards while pregnant to not harm the baby, raising the odds of a yeast infection. I don’t think I’m pregnant. If the vaginal discharge smells bad and looks like curds, you have a yeast infection. It is also more likely if the itching is bad, skin is red and it hurts when you pee or have sex. If I had that many symptoms, I wouldn’t be having sex. You could also have bacterial vaginosis. Just what I need, a social disease. You could have thick discharge that smells more than usual due to bacterial overgrowth of the bacteria normally there and it isn’t classified as a social disease. So how could I treat it? Don’t douche like you might do, since those cleansings actually worsen the normal bacterial balance. And you need yogurt - That sounds like a fancy new age treatment, up there with herbs and lotions in my underwear. You eat the yogurt to help restore your body’s bacterial balance. There are some people who do put yogurt up there, but it isn’t recommended, though tea tree oil is. Drinking herbal teas is supposed to treat everything. What else can I do? Make sure you wipe front to back when you poop so there isn’t any bacteria making it from back to front. Any other ideas of what could be causing this? It could be something sexually transmitted, especially if the cervical mucus is yellow or green or streaked with blood. I suppose the blood would be from lesions or sores. Yes, and you’ll want to see a doctor for any social disease. And it can be mistaken for a yeast infection, since the itching, burning and so forth are similar unless someone actually looks at it. Which is pretty much impossible for me unless I reach the next level in yoga. You can try over the counter yeast infection treatments and diet changes, but if you have more than four in a year or it resists treatment, you need to see a doctor.

What to do if having onion like foul vaginal odour? - Dr. Sangeeta Gomes

03:08
The vagina has a balance of healthy bacteria called as the doderlein’s bacilli and natural secretions which maintain the pH of the vagina as 4.5. The bacteria, the fluid, all produce a natural odour which is present in the vagina. Sometimes onion like or fishy odour arises from the vagina associated with burning, itching, redness and pain. Now what are the causes of the abnormal odour? Eating some pungent foods like onion, garlic, asparagus will increase the risk of bad odour. Therefore you need to drink plenty of water to hydrate yourself wherein the smell disappears in a week or so. Next cause is excessive sweating during exercise. So changing clothes regularly, having a shower, wearing lose cotton underwear’s. Avoid excessive use of panty liners and pads. When you are on high doses of antibiotics for certain illness, these antibiotics can also kill the natural flora of the vagina causing the overgrowth of the harmful bacteria like the vaginal candidiasis. Also use of antihistamines during cold and cough can dry up the vaginal secretions. Use of some essential oils near the genitals can alter the vaginal flora. What is bacterial vaginosis? This is a condition associated with fishy odour, thin grey runny discharge from the vagina. This is aggravated following intercourse as semen can exacerbate this condition. Change in the hormonal levels can cause change in the vaginal odour. During puberty during menarche and when the person is on contraceptive pills etc. Also forgotten tampoons can lead to foul smelling vaginal discharge. So how do we manage this? Don’t do vaginal douching as this can wash away the natural bacterial flora. Don’t use excessive antibiotics, excessive soaps or disinfectant solutions near the vagina. Drink plenty of water and keep yourself hydrated. Avoid having pungent foods like garlic and onion. Use of probiotics, that is good bacteria daily in small quantities, then they can colonise in the vagina, thereby maintaining the pH of the vagina and while using the washroom, wash from front to back as washing in the reverse direction can push in the infection, the E.coli and the other bacteria from the anal area into the vaginal region. Meet your doctor if there is some local cause like cervix erosion, polyp which is leading to this vaginal discharge.

10:11
Descriptions of Warning Signs of Colon Cancer You Shouldn’t Ignore: According to the American Cancer Society, 1 in 20 people are at a risk of developing colorectal cancer during their lifetime must get colon cancer clinical trials.. The exact cause of colorectal or bowel cancer is not known. However, it is believed to develop when healthy cells become abnormal and start growing in number and accumulate in the lining of the colon, forming polyps. Left untreated, polyps may become cancerous. As it can be difficult to treat colon cancer after it spreads to nearby areas, it is important to know what the early symptoms are. This can help you seek early treatment and give you a better chance in recovery at all you must do colon cancer treatment options and know early about what is treatment for colon cancer. Here are the top 5 sign and symptoms of colorectal cancer. 1. Constipation 01:02 Constipation is an important sign of cancer in the colon. A 2011 study published in the Asian Pacific Journal of Cancer Prevention highlights the link between constipation and colorectal cancer risk. An earlier 2004 study published in the European Journal of Cancer supported the hypothesis that constipation or laxative use increases the risk of colon cancer. A tumor present at the far end of the colon can make it very difficult to eliminate waste products, thereby causing constipation. If you persistently have fewer bowel movements per week, without any prior problem of constipation, consult your doctor to find out the exact cause. 2. Diarrhea 01:59 If you suffer from diarrhea for more than a couple of weeks, it may be an early symptom of colon cancer. When a tumor partially obstructs the bowel, it can cause alternating constipation and diarrhea due to leakage of liquid stool. You may also experience frequent gas, abdominal pain, nausea and vomiting. Plus, a tumor may irritate or narrow the lining of the intestine. It is important to consult your doctor when you have diarrhea that lasts more than a few days, as it can lead to dehydration, drain your body of nutrients and signal other serious problems, such as cancer. 3. Blood in Stools 02:35 Most often, blood in the stool is due to piles (hemorrhoids), where the veins in the back passage become fragile and cause a little bleeding during a bowel movement. This type of bleeding is generally red. However, if you notice dark red or black blood in your stool, it can be a sign of cancer, such as bowel, rectal or colon cancer. It can also be due to a stomach ulcer. Whether bleeding is due to piles, a stomach ulcer or cancer, it’s important to get it checked by a doctor. Proper diagnosis is essential for appropriate treatment. 4. Constant Feeling of a Bowel Movement 03:25 If you have a constant feeling of urgently needing to have a bowel movement or to strain but no stool is passed, it is not a good sign. This feeling can occur even after having a bowel movement. Changes in your pattern of bowel movements can be a sign of colon cancer. It can occur when a tumor blocks the bowel and prevents you from completely emptying your bowels. If you persistently have the sensation of incomplete evacuation after a bowel movement, discuss the problem with your doctor. 5. Narrow Stools 04:16 Thin, narrow stools are also a warning of possible colon cancer. A tumor present in the left side of the colon obstructs the passageway and often leads to narrow stools. Do not delay discussing any change in your stools with your doctor. Diverticulitis and anal cancer can also cause narrowing of the stools. Music: Royalty Free Music from Bensound

20 early warning signs that cancer is growing in your body

04:14
20 early warning signs that cancer is growing in your body 1. Wheezing/shortness of breath Lung cancer patients remember noticing this as one of their first symptoms but didn't initially connect it to cancer. 2. Frequent fevers or infections Frequently a sign of leukemia, a cancer of the blood cells that starts in bone marrow. It causes the marrow to produce abnormal white blood cells that hinder your body's infection-fighting abilities. 3. Difficulty swallowing Most commonly associated with throat cancer, but can be a good indicator of lung cancer too. 4. Weakness and fatigue Such a common symptom of cancer that it should be looked at in combination with other symptoms to determine which it is. 5. Feeling full and unable to eat This is a sign of ovarian cancer. A loss of appetite even when you haven't eaten for a while is a tip-off. 6. Anorexia Could be an early sign of pancreatic cancer. A sudden disgust for coffee, wine or smoking can be linked to this as well. 7. Rectal bleeding or blood in stool Common sign of colorectal cancer. Blood in the toilet should be a big enough sign to see a doctor immediately. 8. Lumps in the neck, underarm or groin area Swollen lymph nodes indicate changes in the lymphatic system which can lead to cancer. 9. Excessive bruising or bleeding that doesn't stop Suggests abnormalities with the platelets and red blood cells, which can be a sign of leukemia. Leukemia cells crowd out red blood cells impairing your blood's ability to carry oxygen leading to clots. 10. Bloating or abdominal weight gain Ovarian cancer patients reported unexplained bloating that came on suddenly and continued for a significant amount of time. 11. Unexplained weight loss An early sign of colon and other digestive cancers. Also a sign of cancer that has spread to the liver, affecting your appetite and the body's ability to get rid of waste. 12. A red, sore, or swollen breast Indicates inflammatory breast cancer, unexplained changes should be told to a doctor immediately. A nipple that appears flattened, inverted or turned sideways had also been noticed by patients diagnosed with breast cancer. 13. Swelling of facial features Lung cancer patients have reported noticing puffiness, swelling or redness of the face. Small cell lung tumors commonly block blood vessels in the chest preventing blood from flowing freely to the head. 14. Sore/lump on the skin that bleeds, becomes crusty or doesn't heal Different types of skin cancer (melanoma, basal cell carcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma) can cause these, so be aware of any odd-looking growths or spots. 15. Changes in nails A brown/black dot under the nail can indicate skin cancer. Pale or white nails can be a sign of liver cancer. "Clubbing", which is the enlargement of the fingers with nails that curve down over the tips, can be a sign of lung cancer. 16. Unusually heavy or painful periods, bleeding between periods A common sign of endometrial or uterine cancer. A transvaginal ultrasound should be considered if the problem persists. 17. Chronic cough or chest pain Leukemia and lung tumors (among others), show symptoms that can mimic a bad cough or bronchitis. Some patients also reported a chest pain that extended to the shoulder and down their arm. 18. Pelvic/Abdominal pain Pain and cramping in the pelvis can be linked with the bloating signs of ovarian cancer. Leukemia also does this because it enlarges the spleen. 19. Pain in back or lower right side Often an early sign of liver cancer. Breast cancer can also be found through this as a breast tumor can press backward into the chest or spread to the spine/ribs. 20. Upset stomach Stomach cramps or a frequently upset stomach can be a sign of colorectal cancer. Subscribe ► https://goo.gl/1dVtUS Thank you for watching.
