Having the gift of immortality and always lurking in the shadows, vampires have sparked a peculiar interest since the beginning of time. Their notoriety became even more visible with the release of Bram Stoker’s “Dracula”, more and more media products trying to shed some light on these mysterious blood thirsty creatures. And since video games are a major part of the entertainment market, they have their fair share of vampire themed products, many of which you’ll find in today’s list that encompasses 10 of the best gaming titles that let you play as the blood sucking antihero!

am i the only one who wants a vampire game where you start at the bottom and work your way to become the king/queen(or one of the kings/queens anyways) like dont get me wrong Vampyr is cool and all, but for he its too much about being a doctor and finding cures. i just wanna be a badass vampire who makes his own kingdom from the ground, and destroy everyone who stands in my way lol
Better than at least three games in this list is the indie PC game "Bloodlust: Shadow Hunter", a mostly dungeon crawler, fully voiced, where you play a vampire. You can sire humans into your "family" and send them off to collect loot, or stay and defend you. It was written by one guy and has Very Positive steam reviews and a huge fan base. It's under $20, and it's a crime how few know about this gem!
Skyrim was great but I played the death out of it. I can be a vampire in ESO but all I do is turn other players once a week. Awesome as that is, it is the only interesting dynamic. I bother Bethesda-Zenimax regularly to add more vamp content but they are to busy balancing pvp and mmo type things to care. Bethesda said there will NOT BE A SKYRIM6 so weep. Waiting on *Vampyr* to come out.
Only a couple of good games on this list and im pretty sure blood festival is a dlc so but Vampire the masquerade Bloodlines is the best written game but the thing that irks me the most is why the fuck is dark on this list that game is hot garbage
Might I share a link to a vampire game that is played through a browser? You get to play as a vampire or a hunter or just a run of the mill human. It's story is decided by the actions and writings of the players. Players can choose just to play the game or they can write their stories too.
Other than Dark, Bloodlines is the only one I found worth playing and I am still waiting for a modern rendition/sequel, though I have yet to play Vampyr. Thoroughly unimpressed with CCP for totally wasting the White Wolf franchise. Also not happy with Paradox doing mostly the same by producing only mobile games, but at least they are doing something with it.
I just have one question.
Where the f is Skyrim? Or Elder Scrolls series just ova in this video?
You can become a vampire and if you have the dlc you can become even a vampire lord with amazing transformation and abilities etc.
I miss Nosgoth. That game didn't deserve the fate it was given. Even if it wasn't followed by that many people, the devs could have atleast released the source code and left it all in the hands of the community.
Dislike for two reasons, for not putting Castlevania Aria of Sorrow, Symphony of the Night or Dracula Kid on the list, instead putting an upcoming game that no one has played so there's no way to judge its real worth.
5:33 why hasn't any1 done a sequel to it or a good game like it, its a shame, even to mmo they planned from it is a paper-ware it should have been out by new, but even the site seems to be gone new
best Vamp game so far
Legacy of kain is my life but while i was happy u regarded it so highly im confused why you didnt show The original Blood Omen 1 and well the other 3 games like blood omen 2 soul reaver 2 and Defiance as the clips you showed of soul reaver 1 didnt show really anything about vampires as such and you didnt show any gameplay
OH AND WHERE IS CASTELVANIA LORDS OF SHADOW 2
OH AND NOSGOTH NEEDS TO DIE IN HELL
kinda ballsy to call Vampyr the revival of the vampire genre. (I'm hoping it will be, but I'm doubting it will be.)
So far, most of us have only had a look at the pre-alpha, in which the combat was extremely lackluster. And if we're being honest, how many games, pre-alpha or not, made a big overhaul to their combat-system?
I'll definitely be looking out for this game out of interest, but I won't risk pre-purchasing it, purely for that combat mishap.
The developers pushed it back to spring of 2018 to debug and refine it more im sure it will be good I plan on buying it. However I wish that some developers would make some new Vampire: The Masquerade games
Funny how you show SR 1 and SR 2 in the video. Do you even know that Kain is the vampire and Raziel (for the playing part) isn't a vampire anymore cuz he sucks souls instead of blood? It would've been more accurate to show BO 1, BO 2 and Defiance. In this parts you can play as Kain, SR 1 and SR 2 is only Raziel.
