Coconut oil has many health benefits that are well-documented. However, one recently discovered benefit is that coconut oil can help treat symptoms of hypothyroidism, or an under-active thyroid. Hypothyroidism occurs when the body’s thyroid gland does not make enough hormones to allow the body to function appropriately.
Coconut oil contains a fatty acid called lauric acid, which has anti-inflammatory properties. Coconut oil also contains capric acid, which has antimicrobial and antiviral properties. It is recommended that you use extra virgin coconut oil for the best health benefits. One tablespoon of extra virgin coconut oil should be consumed daily. It can be added to hot beverages, such as tea or coffee, and added to daily cooking, drizzled over a salad or added to a smoothie.

The Journal of Nutrition published a study that showed the fatty acids in coconut oil help to keep the body feeling fuller, longer. Thus, assisting the body in shedding excess weight.
When hormones from the thyroid are low, the body’s organs run slower as well, causing the digestive tract and intestines to lag. The fatty acids in coconut oil provide the body with energy and boost organ function. Coconut oil also works as a natural laxative and is effective in fighting constipation.
An under-active thyroid causes muscle and joint pain, largely from unbalanced hormone levels. Coconut oil can naturally calm any inflammation and relieve any pain.

yes ...i believe in coconut oil... I just started about 2weeks ago. eating 3tbsp..to 4tbsp...a day... of coconut oil.. incorporated in food n drink...n my mental alertness...is improved, food cravings are checked, bye-bye constipation, feel a sense of overall well being.. just dun know how it happen... There is nothing UNEXPLAINED about weight gain when it comes to an under-active thyroid. Thyroid hormones play huge role in metabolism, speeding the processes, under-active thyroid => less thyroid hormones => slower metabolism => more stored fat => weight gain. Easy as that. People should stop making a rocket science out of everything.

My Synthroid I take for hypothyroid make me a nervous wreck. Ever since I got off my antidepressant Nardil 3 1/2 years ago, I had to get on BP meds and tranquilizer. Maybe it's truly healing the thyroid where it's making my Synthroid feel like I am taking too much even tho my TSH is high and T3 and T4 always normal. I want to try coconut oil again but am scared.
I have all the symptoms from joint pains fatigue stress dry skin feel cold all the time, and I'm not sure if this is the same symptom but I had a sunbed the other day and I came off it after 12 minutes and there wasn't a single drop of sweat on me which is awful worrying haha
I have underactive thyroid. I have been eating 1 tbsp + 1 tsp of coconut oil daily and my hairstylist noticed my hair is growing faster. My thyroid also got back into range on 60 mg Armour a day. I'll have to wait and see if it improves any more.

Hi am using coconut oil in food for about 40gms per day as part of keto diet. I lost 5 lbs weight in just a week time and I feel more energetic than before. I hope I reach my target weight in just one more month. People be cautious take 4lits of water, 3 lemons, at least 1 multi vitamin tablet each day in this diet. Ur hunger levels go down drastically but u will receive more energy from this diet...
I brush my teeth with Coconut oil and Turmeric and I noticed whiter teeth right away. 4 T organic Coconut oil and 1 teaspoon Turmeric powder. Mix in a small jar and put the lid on. I brush only twice a day.
I did like it & makes sense. Coconut oil unadulterated is just plain good stuff! As long as you're not taking to much of it, & in conjunction with the wrong supplements such a magnesium citrate. Unless you need to crap? & remember it's still a saturated fat, not a poly or mono-unsaturated fat (heart healthy) so you shouldn't take too many scoop fulls of coconut oil for weight loss, especially if you've any pre-existing heart conditions! It does possess heart beneficial properties as well, but with common sense & care, go easy.
I have made many of the examples you speak about in the video apart of my daily routine. One new thing I have applied is for dry skin on my feet, at night I wash my feet with a solution of baking soda and water with 1 tablespoon of coconut oil, after cleaning I apply coconut oil to the feet esp. the dry rough spots and put on cotton socks overnight. It is a conditioning to the skin to become softer and also helps you to sleep good and relaxation.

I have all the simptoms that was metioned here. My Dr. said its because of my enxieaty disorder..however, I have tried so many other things but never tried the the coconut oil before..i want to try and see the result..i hope to see some positive results..
A year ago I started adding coconut oil to my morning and evening tea.
Since that change, I have lost 60 lbs; stopped being exhausted and have been able to get into a regular routine of mild exercise with low weights, yoga and isometrics. Chronic dryness has left me and my mouth has gone back to healthy saliva production.

Anthony Liberty you should NOT swallow the coconut oil used in oil pulling, it contains all the bacteria from your mouth and some “pulled” from your blood, the veins in your mouth!! Do not swallow, but spit it out in the trash can, not in the sink! Coconut oil does not elevate cholesterol, it is one of the best fats to eat or cook with!!
I recently started the regimen of adding one teaspoon of virgin organic coconut oil in my morning cup of tea made from ginger roots. I also add some turmeric/black pepper/cinnamon as well. Then I also add some pure wild honey and squeeze half a fresh lemon. Within few days I am already experiencing some positive changes and improving on few problems like constipation, and weakness/low energy. Moderation and balance is key for me... and what doses should one use better be subject to strict observation by the user. Also the user must take the responsibility if one has any allergy to any one ingredients I mentioned and decide on the dosage one must use, safely. Mace S: I lost weight even though I've been eating even more. I made few changes and use coconut oil frying eggs for breakfast, use it once a week for keeping my mouth teeth and gums health by 'oil pulling'. Also stopped adding turmeric in my ginger tea in the morning. Early in the morning I eat 5 dates (reglet) and 5 small oatmeal raisin cookies and take vitamins (OneADay Bayer Men's) + one D3 as a start for the day. Later at brunch I take one Omega 3 fish oil, one super B vit, one L-Glutamine, one D3, and one coQ10. Feeling better and energetic. Experimentation and watching results is important so that one could improve one's intake. Each is unique in their needs and circumstances. I felt Turmeric was not too compatible with my system even in small amounts. How about your A-game?
i'm so sad they took away one of my 2 thyroid glands 2004, i had a hyper thyroid. but today i think it would have been normal with the right food (I'm 100% sure), cus now when eating the right food since 2016 my blod result was 0, 40, before it was like 5.0 with Levaxin 0,75 (like 7 months ago). i am 100% sure we can fixe our thyroid with only the right food.
