You have read wrongly the first book's first sentence. Instead of "had had" it should be "had". You have read one extra "had". This is not a big deal i know i'm just writing these lines for improving my English language skills. By the way i have been reading the James and Giant Peach book. I started 2 days ago.

I'm really foucused on improve my english skills because I want to live abroad. I started to learn english one year ago but I had a little contact with english from a very young age, that helps me a lot, so when I started to learn I had a lot of vocabulary. I'm very curious and I've found many english teachers on youtube, one of them was you, I particularly enjoyed your method and how you speak english and I pretend to keep watching your channel. I really tried to write on the best manner I could, please evaluate how my english is.
