I loved this video. Loved watching you play with the dogs in the creek. Then the campfire with the night howls. What a beautiful camp site.

We have red wolf's too, glad you enjoyed the mountains, did you see any bears?
Jenn Hill (4 months ago)
Could the coyotes be wolf coyote mixes? Here, in the West, there are tons of coy-dogs, too. Very bad news.
Jenn Hill (4 months ago)
Is this yr new RV that is giving you fits? Its so good to see you & Bob so happy! Love the pups, & the views. Not good to wake the sleeping bear in the van! If that creek was in NV, you'd freeze your toes!

Those were definitely coyotes. We have them right in our town in Ohio and they are pretty big. They really moved into area ten years or so ago and proliferated. Whenever an ambulance or siren goes off they go crazy. Have seen them walking down the street.

If you stay in the water long enough they'll nibble you LoL! My sister and I used to sit in the creeks around our house and catch them. Some are quite small. It was peaceful to just talk and play in the cool water alone. Glad you enjoy it. Please give Capone a good hug😊

I have been up there it is great a good climb I live just outside of charlotte. hope you enjoyed NC
Debra Comer (10 months ago)
Oh my gosh, it's gorgeous! My sister lived in Asheville NC for a year or so. Unfortunately, I never got the opportunity to visit Mount Pisgah. That's going on my bucket list.
Gary Leitz (10 months ago)
Glad to see you are happy even though you do need a better or new RV. Keep smiling girl!
nancy moore (10 months ago)
Prob not wolves. East coast doesn't have wild wolves, sadly.
lilyann168 (10 months ago)
Carolyn, did you go to the Biltmore while you were near Asheville? It's amazing, you should check it out if you haven't.
Valerie (10 months ago)
very pretty
Tina Perez (10 months ago)
wow. so judgemental. How do you know who the audience is? People who want to travel are among the people who watch. I have a great job with fire department. I make pretty good money and retire next year with a full paid pension. I watch because it's interesting to see how others are seeing the country without spending a lot of money. Your views are way off base.
Gypsynurse Cathy (10 months ago)
That was a rooster....
Tanya Marsh (10 months ago)
And yes, those are most definitely coyotes.
Tanya Marsh (10 months ago)
I so enjoy your videos, and often find myself chuckling when you compare Florida to North Carolina. Now you know why this native Floridian headed for the mountains (such as they are around here)! 😊

Hello again from rural New Hampshire. In the east we something called a coy - wolf. Bigger than a coyote and smaller than a wolf. They pack together like wolves and bring down prey as large as deer . Please watch your dogs. Thank you for sharing your adventure with us. I just bought a 1988 Fleetwood Southwind. Could anyone tell me what size and how many batteries?
Betty Smith (11 months ago)
Must have just missed each other...I just was in the Asheville, NC area last week! Excellent place to be a vegan in, that's for sure...plenty of that type of healthy thinking there. One thing I regret whenever I'm there is if I don't spray almost my entire body down with some sort of mosquito repellent immediately. I waited one day (yes, just ONE) to buy the stuff and that was enough to get 6 to 10 mosquito bites within a 1 to 2 hour period all over my legs just sitting on somebody's porch! And yep, there is nature everywhere down there...not just on the forests or BLM lands. The mountains are impressive indeed. I''m glad Bob was there with you to keep you company!!! God bless. I'm glad you all had a good time...

Seems like a nice place. From one full-time rvr to another. 😊😊😊 Beautiful

Last weekend my brother-in-law's golden lab ate 7 bars of chocolate. He likes to eat, especially chocolate! They gave him hydrogen peroxide to make him vomit. I guess it worked since he's still alive, ready to eat more chocolate if he gets a chance.
Galavanting Gilbert (11 months ago)
Looks like a great place to share with a friend. I bet you could find gold around the bedrock of the stream y'all are at.

I am so glad you discovered Asheville.  I was born there.  I lived in Haw Creek in a log house.  I used to play on the Parkway.  Visit Black Mountain and look for the shop "Song  of the Wood."  They make dulcimers and have wonderful recorded music to buy.  Enjoy the area !!!  Rogerdoger
abedabun dawn (11 months ago)
Sounds like wolves to me
kragseven (11 months ago)
Words of warning. A coyote will kill a dog the size of yours in a heart beat. Your dogs wouldn't stand a chance
Carolyn's RV Life (11 months ago)
Capone has chased both bears and coyotes out of camp. and he's alive to talk about it! :-)
Really pretty!!!
drkwolfhere (11 months ago)
Sounded like something mimicking a rooster.
Philip Montgomery (11 months ago)
I was thinking screech owl not wolf or coyote.
Maggie McMaster (11 months ago)
I was just thinking that as the two dogs walked passed each other.
Tina Perez (11 months ago)
not sure why you're referencing me in your comment.
dkh1020 (11 months ago)
Hi Carolyn, I'm sorry to bypass your video on recent rv repairs because you closed comments. My comments aren't negative Carolyn. I think you acted very professionally by contacting this vendor about repairs and he made things right for you. Don't get me wrong, you have a huge following of people that live through you vicariously and look out for you. When they think you were wronged or taken advantage of you in any way they instinctively want to protect you. But you have to know some of these people are not mentally stable thereby sending threatening e-mails and making threatening calls. They love you and want to look out for you but some are typically NUTS. I hate to say this but please be careful what you share. I say that because your safety is whats most important. I know you want to put your life out there for the world to see and I appreciate that but be careful what you share Carolyn. Best wishes in your life and endeavors.

Oh, I forgot to mention. If you and Bob find your way to the Houston Texas area, I manage a luxury RV Resort here and would absolutely love to have you as my guests here and would happily comp your stay for the opportunity to meet you.

So you call out a shop as a rip off then you make a video telling everyone off for giving him crap and shut off comments? You are a nut case. I have no idea how in the hell you ever got 40,000 viewers but I'll bet you're on your way out. You are coming unhinged.

Nice, disable your comments on other video....you know YOU bashed a business without giving him a chance to fix the issue! You need to accept that YOU were the culprit here.....own it I hope Dave Sue's your ass!

Hey Hitchhiker - Funny how you go from one comment to another telling people to move on and let it go....why don't you let it go?
Colleen (11 months ago)
Even while telling the viewers it might not be a good idea to reveal the name of the business in her last video on the topic, she then proceeds to announce the full name, another 2 or 3 times. If I were Dave, I'd be questioning how much good faith she is operating with.

Guess what, YouTube viewers are not a reflection of you...They are other people completely independent of you with unique thoughts and ideas...That was a grandiose and absurd connection you made in your recent Ripped Off video

LOVE SEEING YOU HAPPY! You're in my neck of the woods now, the APPALACHIAN! Lived out that way most of my life until moving west 6 years ago. In my youth I walked many miles of it in Virginia, and also worked on the trail with the Youth Conservation Corps. Believe me, seeing that grassy hillside is gorgeous, but you haven't begun to see the Appalachians until you've hiked the App Trail through Virginia. The rocky knolls are my favorite. Hope you took a bath in that nice water while you were there! I'd boil it first. Beautiful way to end that vid, it's the only time I've ever missed "home" since moving away. WOW! Didn't think it would affect me like that. What out for POISON IVY!!! You've been warned. THANKS TO YOU AND BOB for a relaxing video! YOU TWO ROCK!
Zef Rose (11 months ago)
Wonderful fun! Gorgeous camp site. Great creek! I love that green shirt with the lacing! You look fabulous! The dogs are happy! What more could one want? Oh yes. A campfire! Yes I love a campfire, and I LOVE the sound of wolves in the distance. Yes, they are definitely wolves. Coyotes are more yippy, and you already noticed, higher pitched. Don't worry about them. They won't come near you. Just listen. They will sing to you. Thanks for the trip to the Appalachian Trail and the great views of the Smoky Mountains. They really ARE smoky.

The water is crystal clear and the three of you look like you''re having a good time. What about Bob?
Lori mortis (11 months ago)
I love standing in the water too! The squishy silt/mud feels yucky between my toes though. What a beautiful area you found. Did you find any other free camping sites in North Carolina?
Doris Shanks (11 months ago)
Oh yes! I gave up cable tv last year as I had already switched to watching YouTube instead. My only complaint is the data it takes to stream the videos.
Doris Shanks (11 months ago)
There are Red Woves which were repopulated in the 90's in the Alligator River area near the NC coast. May have been placed in other more inland areas as well. Also I am sure some have migrated but they are have collars so they can be tracked.
bumblesby (11 months ago)
Fish kisses! They love munching on the skin flakes LOL... natural defoliators 😛 Glad you are showing some places to camp in NC. My brother recently moved near the Charlotte area and I need to find places when I visit him.
walt Durling (11 months ago)
No, not wolves. The only wolves in NC are in the NE part of the state. They are small red wolves only a couple hundred exist. There are lots of coyotes in western NC. Occasionally they will breed with dogs, called coy-dogs. So Carolyn and Bob were hearing one of the other.
Donna G (11 months ago)
I wouldn't want to leave. I think that's one the best places you've stayed.

#436    Hello, Carolyn and Bob.  Enjoyed your video about Asheville and Pisgah National Forest.  Too bad Matilda is falling apart.  I have a feeling that you will surprise us with a new RV.  Anchors Away!

Thanks for the video! I giggled right along with you when you played in the creek with the pups. The shot from the trail showed the blue ridge mountains, nice! The scene of your campfire and the sounds of nature made me wish I was sitting there with you. Continue your bliss and sharing. Always looking forward to your next adventure. Enjoy

Christine Ransom (11 months ago)
I love all your videos. What an education. ❤❤❤
Levy Gant (11 months ago)
Hey, I know that the videos may be time-delayed, and ya'll may not be in N.C. now. But, one of the best places to view the "Solar Eclipse" on August 21 is in the Smoky Mt. National Park. Since ya'll are so close, it would be a shame to miss it. I just thought I'd pass that along.
Cool someday we will retire and then we're on the road away from the rat race

Coyotes here are much bigger than out west! My sweet man has a pretty much full time job protecting farms, golf courses, dogs, cats, etc.
Then, Now and Forever (11 months ago)
you ought to do some fishing! There is trout in them there waters! The Pisgah Center has a hatchery that they release in the water!
Then, Now and Forever (11 months ago)
There is a sliding rock past the pisgah center. Go on up and look for it.

Watch out for snakes!
Ron Henderson (11 months ago)
In the east they are actually a "coy-wolf". The western coyotes bred with timber wolfs and we have a hybrid in the east.

Its nice to see you so happy! Happy birthday to you!! Wishing you the best year ever!  D

Glad to see you so happy, Carolyn! I'm learning so much about the United States and it's as if I'm traveling myself. It always amazes me how many people follow you that are jealous because you have figured out a way to make a living while traveling... Sad, pathetic people....Good luck & thanks!

Your the first Youtuber that has put a link to their video editing software that I know of. Thanks for doing that. Is your Marketing ebook really worth the money?
Tina Perez (11 months ago)
Great to see you so happy Carolyn. . This seems the happiest in all of your videos that I've seen. The camp and the water are so beautiful. I love when you show the doggies! You did psyche me out with the comments of the dogs chasing the wolves away and then said nope, they are asleep in the campers. What a relief that was. LOL.
The Washingtons (11 months ago)
Yayyy! I am so glad to see you are smiling! You were looking rather unhappy a few videos back. Bob must be good company... LOL Really nice video!!
Karen Carter (11 months ago)
I am going with Wolves they are pack animals and if remember correctly mate for life...sounds like a wolf
Spring Blossom (11 months ago)
Those were wolves and they travel in packs and attack dogs and can attack humans. If you hear other sounds you can't explain you might study up on bigfoot. There's some great videos on the subject. Many people have hears and seen them. That however did sound like a wolf. Wolves can sound very deep if they're bigger. Just google wolves howling on youtube. You can also find bigfoot howls on youtube.
Lois Ann Scheidt (11 months ago)
Carolyn, the way you feel in the forest is how I feel in the desert. Just curious, have you done a video on your camera setups?

I'm like You Carolyn!!! Love the Mountains AND campfires!! They are so relaxing!!!! More fun cause it's more quieter. & Private which I like....LOL!!!!

This is one of my favorite vlogs of yours. I love it when you RVer's film their locations. Especially when they are this beautiful. Bye the way - let those little fishies bite at your feet. They are taking off the dead skin. People pay big money at spa's to get that treatment.
Carolyn..... I have a friend hiking AP as we speak! The whole 2000 some miles, what an adventure he's having!
What a fun spot,🌲🌲🌳enjoy the journey Carolyn.🚌🐾
