Make a paste of baking soda and peroxide. With cotton cloth, rub this paste around Capone's gums gently. Rinse cloth, then get cloth drenched in warm water and gently wipe off, rinse his mouth. This will clear up any gum "hurt".
When my dog needed help, I was quoted between $3000 and &5000 to fix her. I took her East of Seattle to Ellensburg Animal Hospital and he fixed her up for $500 and set up surgery first thing in the morning so that I could pick her up in late afternoon— no overnight hospitalization. I cried with relief and gratitude. I recommend that place because even if you have to pay for a motel, you are still better off and getting quality care for your animal.
Capone is such a handsome boy. How old is he? My Andy is turning 12, August 1st, which is also my 51st birthday.
Oh how funny. I do it every time. I just can't shake the habit of commenting before watching the entire video, lol. So Capone is 13. Yay Capone!
Be careful of Bears! You have me thinking about buying a RV. Always planned to go across country in RV but thought I'd do it with a husband or friend, but,, life takes many turns & I've been apprehensive of doing it as a retired woman alone . I might just do it with my German Shepard by my side!
Leak under the bed. Could it be the rear wheels kicking up water from the pavement and it's getting through cracks in the floor? I had that problem once. Sprayed sealer under there, and no more problems.
The Mountain Loop highway is my backyard. That's the south fork of the Stilliguamish river. The fish ladder at the bridge just past town is a nice short walk, but there are lots of places to hike. Especially when it warms up and dries out for summer.
Wow, The Wayward Vegan Cafe is a mile away from where I grew up for my first 40 years in Seattle!! For the last 20 years I've lived just minutes north of Seattle. I LOVE the summers here. Otherwise, yes, it can be so gloomy here. All the more reason to become a snow bird, lol. I'm really behind on watching videos this week - I'm so happy to hear that Capone did well at the vet awhile back :D I hope you are having a blast in Alaska!
My alfie is 11 a rescue his teeth were in horrible shape some were blk etc... i brush his teeth every day and have for the three yrs hes been with me... no issues !!! Vet was amazed!! Just an idea for u to try!!
WOW what an awesome spot you are residing in for the moment Love the river AND Love all the close ups of Capone and glad he is doing good. He's such an awesome good boy....love pats for him....Can't wait to see Alaska thru your videos...sooo exciting
It's supposed to be prioritized vs throttled. And is not supposed to affect us on low traffic areas. Your experience is saying the opposite. Please revisit this every so often and advise us of how Verizon is performing. Thamks
I’m sorry I don’t have a name for it. It comes in a quart can. It’s actually patented. It’s white you roll it on or brush it on it’s to part the part you mix in is purple. It gives you the extra room in the can. To mix The only problem is it takes three days for it to totally cure. And it must be dirt dust and dry before using. I hope that was a little help. It is totally worth it it is like 20 $30 a quart. Be safe My lady.
Regarding your RV leaks. First, the "R" in RV stands for recreational. They weren't designed for full time living. Second, and more important, when you go off roading in your RV, which it's not built for, the frame is twisting way beyond what's it's designed for, which in turn puts undue stress on the entire coach structure and you end up with leaks! If you want to go off road either tow a 4-wheel drive vehicle behind your RV or live in something than can handle rough terrain! Simple as that. Congratulations, you've trashed another RV!
I was just a few miles from you at the Mountain Loop site and do a lot of RV'ing around the Northwest in general. I agree with the other comments about North Idaho and NE Washington having the beauty and better weather combined--some of the lesser known gems of the region over there. On your leak back at the bed, can you see water in bulk filling an area or are you getting whole areas of moisture along the floor or outside wall of the coach there? if you had been in the mountains and cool / wet environments for awhile but keeping the rig warm, enclosed areas with high humidity and surfaces that get much colder from the outside weather and the minimally effective insulation in these rigs can create condensation on and in those materials and that can collect in drips and small puddles that may look like a leak. Sealing the base of the taillight assemblies and running lights back there are good ideas anyway, whether or not they are the source of the problem this time.
Carolyn, the leak under your bed could be condensation, we had that in our RV, it was all wet under the head of the bed, mattress, My husband checked everywhere and not leaks, against a back wall so condensation was collecting there, what I did was put towels under the mattress and just changed them when wet, when it is raining and cold that is what happens, also put bowls of salt around your unit inside, no more condensation ! We have a big old rig and it works wonderful, 18 years old so Not that old I guess, the creek was beautiful, you will find many of those in B.C., the weather is nice and sunny, hot right now, plenty of beautiful spots and places for you and Capone to explore, roads are not bad, some construction on them the farther up north you go, bring lots of bug spray or get a bug jacket, hat and pants, that is what I used to do when I lived up there in northern B.C. ,Alaska is beautiful but terrible for bugs, size of humming birds almost, will be watching your travels, be safe, do not pick up hitchhikers what ever you do, enjoy your trip as we will be traveling along with you in sprite, hugs and love.
I'm spending my 4th night in my new home/old rv. We had a lot of rain and thunder last night and tonight and I just noticed it's leaking around the window over the cab. so I turn to youtube, of course and there you are talking about your leaky rv. It's so scary and I'm so woefully underprepared but the synchronicity since I turned in this direction has been pretty amazing. Good luck to us both with our leaky rigs! 💙
A lot different from the desert! I never thought in a million years that I would live in WA but after living in every state in the west, I ended up here. It might be the end of the road for me. Although, I've always wanted to live in Alaska. I hope while your'e in WA you'll visit the coast and the Olympic Rainforest. You will absolutely love it.
Inflammation in the mouth reflects digestive system issues. Give him more RAW foods. Dogs are TRUE omnivores so they can eat anything(plants and animals) but obviously in the wild, they don't cook their foods. Give Capone raw fruits and vegetables and ideally raw meat as well. Never give cooked bones. Always make sure they get raw uncooked bones. Dogs are scavengers so unlike cats who ideally should be fed live animals, dogs will eat dead processed meat along with all the other foods that humans eat (but shouldn't).
Have you checked for leaks from under the RV? There’s enough water on the ground and roads backsplash might be part of the issue! Also you may want to double check the roof seams next to the ladder? Hopefully you’ll find them all!
Maybe have a water leak in the floor under the bed or the storage compartment on the passenger right rear side? Be careful and keep an eye on the roof. It rains a lot and often in Washington. Very slippery on the roof. Hopefully you can find where the leaks are and use some sort of water proof caulking. It can't hurt to go to Harbor Freight and get a few large blue tarps and won't take much room in the RV in case you get a large leak in the roof.
Your close to my Aunt and Uncle's house not far from Snoqualmie falls in the foot hills of the cascade mountains such beautiful place haven't been their since the 90's it looks like it's grown quite abit. Safe travels to Alaska the western frontier
If Capone will let you..get some finger brushes and brush his teeth with dog tooth paste...That will help break up plaque and massage his gumbs...plus give him good breath! 👍 My big dog let's me pick the plaque from his teeth! 😁 You and Capone be safe on your ventures! 💜
My furbabies Zoie and Terra will be 13 years old December 5th. Capone is such a lovable huggable little teddy bear, hugs to him and you! Safe travels, hope you figure out the leaks. I looked up the Wayward Cafe, it look amazing, I hope to get out to the Seattle area once I start traveling again, it's been years since I was there last.
WOW WE WHOO WAH!!!! Grew up in Seattle. Moved to Granite Falls / Arlington and built two homes in the Rainbow Springs neighborhood. Negotiated on 5 acres to sub devide along Jordon road and the crash of 2000 hit.End of middle class for me. me Similar to the 2008 crash. 70,000 people from boeing were laid off. After living building and living in Granite Falls, I learned what the weather person was talking about when they spoke of the convergent zone. I couldn't believe how much rain. Moved to Chewelah,Wa. True 4 seasons.Between Colville, Usk, and Chewelah, just Beautiful! Lots of camping state forest. Now in Post Falls Idaho. Population boom. Farms turning into housing developments. Took Mr Bob's experience and just bought a cargo trailer. I'm redoing my 84 chevy 3/4 ton wood hauling van. Never dreampt of moving into it.
If you kept going past Verlot, the road turns into dirt and drive around Mount Pilchuck to Arlington. Lots of camping along the road.If you get a chance, Doe Bay on Orcus Island is a must see. The ferry ride is gorgeous. Northeastern Washington is to die for with four seasons and without traffic. FIY my video of a motorcycle ride from Chewelah to Usk lets a person know how little traffic there is. Have fun be safe. Rany // randog1951...Youtuber since 2014.An old dog sharing tricks.
