It says a 5GHz network. That's the wavelength of the radio signal. They say 5ghz because many wifi routers operate over 2.4ghz. there is less chance of interference on the 5ghz wavelength. So you can use that OR wired ethernet. I think you've mixed up Ghz and GByte. One being wavelength the other being transfer speed.
Bruh something super weird happened to me the other day i was hosting a cs:go server playing with friends, on the aimbotz training map, at some point we got bored and started fighting over which settings to play with so we started shooting all the different triggers that would change the map around, ofc it didn't take long for the game to crash, but when it did and i have no fucking clue as to why but on my frozen screen on the top right corner in big, white and transparent letters i could see text saying: "Panorama ui initializing" And as far as i know that isn't in the game yet ?
Does anyone know wtf that was ? I wish i could have taken a screenshot but since my pc was in full crash mode i had to close cs:go from the taskmanager and even that took 2 tries.
actually The steam link app has *everything* to do with the failed piece of hardware. Since the hardware released everything (tvs, phones, etc) has gotten so far that they can just implement the featureset of the hardware onto those devices. Gamestreaming to your (android-)TV. Samsung had that feature for quite some time.
Why hasnt Steam made a controller with a internal hard drive, graphics card and processor. That you hook to your phone using it as a screen to play steam games. Wouldn't that not be the ideal handheld? The memory as far as games would be using the phones memory/hard drive.
Who the hell would stream games to their phone in their house? Just play them more comfortably on your pc.... Vortex is an app that lets you play some steam games on your phone from anywhere you are without the "connected to a host system" crap... Anywhere you got a 4g or wifi signal, you can play your games....
What I'd like is some coding to be done so I can use touchscreen controls on steam games rather than having to use a physical controller. I understand it won't work for all games, but there are a lot of steam games out there that can be played predominantly with a mouse, and a few keyboard controls. I would think a touchscreen equivalent could be implemented.
This will be huge. I've been fucking with all the terrible mobile streaming apps for so long that having native steam in home streaming on my phone will remove like 5 different applications from my desktops, and mobiles.
