I don't understand why they would think Indian food will kill you, you can literally see the steam off the cooked food! It is such a racist thing to say, if you're going to say that, then acknowledge any street food might be undercooked. Why single out India? I'm Pakistani but still. wtf The poster below is* correct about the drinking water. Get bottled, that's true enough about any third world country or... Flint, soo.. Heh
I didn't eat stall food not because I was afraid of "hygiene" (LOL go work a week at a fast food place in America), but because I was afraid of the water they used to cook it with.
Apparently that was an invalid fear, as the high temperature supposedly kills everything.
Well said Anthony. Some of these racist whites can't look beyond their fries n burgers. Indian food is one of the only cuisines in the world which has a million veg varieties. It goes above n beyond these restaurant menus have to offer. All these are recipes are passed over from centuries to the current generation , each has its own medicinal, nutritional benefits and most imp. healthy in the long term. There is a reason why obesity, diabetes rate is so high in the US .
If you give an idiot enough rope.....................seriously, though, some will think our comments overdone, which would be a rude testament to the pedant in chief, but I like to think of it as more of a well deserved roasting.
I can totally understand Anderson Cooper with his fear of foreign food that might not be healthy. If you ever passed out on the toilet during a humid summer night from the deathly pain of an intestinal colic you will avoid such foods like the devil will holy water. It's not funny to be deathly ill in a foreign country with such high temperatures and only a hole in the ground to squat over. Where the medical system is not up to par with what you're used to in your home country. I don't know if Anthony Bourdain had an insatiable lust for life or a death wish concerning eating everything in sight without knowing the 'outcome'. He must have had a colon of steel.
"I've done some good in the world" he says jokingly. Yeah, I can say you have. You've influenced and motivated a lot of people to see food for more than just something you shove into your face, but to see it as a sensory experience. Rest in peace you magnificent bastard.
so how is it that CNN gives us Anderson Coopers instead of more Anthony Bourdains??? easy. Anthony knew to keep it only to food topics. if he hadn't he'd been as disappeared as Noam Chomksy has been for 60 years now. something like that, yes? did I get that right?
