There were a heck of a lot better News clips that should have made the top 10 instead of many of these (Including most of the Dishonorable mentions), but I guess MOJO needed to make it's FOX clip quota. The #1 though deserved to be there, how that happened, I do not know.
The dishonorable mentions where my favorite besides the dumb ass reporters who fell for the Korean name prank ( I think all involved were fired) and the reporter who had the bug fly in his mouth The best is the anchor who asked Wtf are you doing
Chris Wood was beaten to death when he tried to break up a fight during a track meet. Six black youths were arrested. Police said they attacked the victim like sharks in a feeding frenzy. The media treated the crime as no big deal.
#9's response (the additional footage) to their messing up was the funniest thing on here. Best way to not look foolish at such a screw up. Laugh at yourself & the whole world laughs with you; not at you. This day & age people need to remember that & stop taking themselves so seriously.
Yeah... That is funny as ever but I guess it was truly put on the air and upset many viewers. There were numerous calls to the station and the newscasters were forced to make a formal apology live the following day. --I do not know if any other action was taken against those who perpetrated the joke though.
My dad is a cameraman for our local news station and not too long ago his station had a slip-up like these. Apparently a shopper at a grocery store bought grapes with a black widow spider in them and took a Snapchat video of it. The video was shown on air with the story. What the editor (NOT MY DAD THANK GOD) didn’t see on the tiny editing screen was that there was text on the video that included the word “motherf—kers”. The editor barely managed to not get fired but viewers were pissed and Dad’s bosses were furious.
