Re: your rv with dog video...i blow a high pitched whistle and immediately give my dogs a treat so they associate the whistle with the treat. Then, when they get out of the backyard and run around the neighborhood I can Blow That Whistle and they come hightailing back for their treat. Just an idea for you.
Carolyn Capone is like a brand new pup, it seems like the weather and new rig seems to agree with him! There is a follower here that made a comment he's in a wheelchair and wishes he could be free like you? Same here, but I'm not in a wheelchair. I'M disabled with a real bad back and now my legs are being affected where if I get on the ground to empty my tanks on a rig I can't get up. I'm only 62 and want to do the same as you. In reality I'm a loner and would only stay in a camp ground only where I can camp far away from people
I don't like to have people come visit me because I can't tell them to leave because I want to be alone so I go to their homes and when I'm ready to leave I can go. It don't really bother me going shopping because I trained myself to zone everyone out and be in my own world. That's not good either the way today's world has become with all the shooting and killings. Well pretty lady I have more to tell you but we'll do that later. Oh before I forget which now that I'm older I do that more I didn't mean to say what I said earlier in a negative way about coloring your hair red or wearing earrings. I am or was just suggesting it only. Ok I'll write you later.
check out the valle vidal in new mexico.... almost to colorado border near cimarron.... i think its 9400 feet in elevation.... was up there for a week about 12 years ago. washboard roads sometimes but nice wide gravel roads to get there and a nice place and tons and tons of elk... some bear and beautiful views
Hey I went down that same road but I have 4wd so I went in several more miles to the top with a view of the mountains and Santa Fe in the distance which was a nice site at night with the city all lit up. The cacti and Jessie the lottery pup didn't get along though.
I’m 71 and still at it even after a triple by-pass but slow is my way to go. Understand your concerns for Capone, good for you. Maybe just some nice little say Treks. Ok, looking forward to seeing what you changed. Safe travels!
Always interesting what you are up to next! I have been looking at solar panels for my little rig and really enjoyed your past video on installing the Renogy system. Would love to see a video on how you are doing with it and how it has performed for you. As a wilderness backpacker I’m already aclimated to doing without stuff but back at my “base camp” in my RV, can see a real need for some solar, just don’t want a big, costly elaborate complicated system at this time. I like the way you try to keep things fairly simple so I guess that’s your backpacking experience showing up. Anything you can tell about your system would be a big help or even better, a video. Thanks and a rub to Capone😊
Loving the Renogy system. It works great. I will be doing vids on how I am using it in my new Rig. there will be some changes..
ahhh, I miss the backcountry.. my Capone can't do the miles anymore. :-(
enjoy have fun
I'm feeling stress free at this moment seeing that beautiful sunset and the views. Capone is probably feeling his oats since the humidity is low and not giving aches and pains like one gets in the east.
I have a suggestion to cover your front windshield , we bought ours to help keep in some heat and keep out headlights, noise and people peeking through our window. I would highly suggest this product to anyone who ever has to stop in a trucking lot or busy rest stop! https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0002F68JK/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1
You're more adventurous than we are with respect to those rutted out roads!! We tried heading into Valley of the Gods this past summer, but were scared away with the prospect of bottoming out our rig at the entrance.
Great video. I used to live in Las Cruces, NM and plan to return this year in my new RV (hopefully and when I sell my house, buy the camper, etc etc etc.) You inspire me and teach me so much about RV life. Thanks you!
You will not believe what just happened!
You talked to your Google and MY Google here answered, and told me where the nearest tractor supply is here in my town 1, 300 miles away from you. My son just gave this to me yesterday. He said 'she' is always listening. I guess so.
I'm going to put on head phones so I can finish watching your video.
I'm sorry to hear that.. fear of breaking stuff would have prevented me from seeing so many beautiful things and camping in some truly special and awe inspiring places.
Stuff can be fixed and replaced.. experiences last forever and change your soul.
Thank you for sharing your journey with us through this last year. I have enjoyed listening to you and seeing the awesome places you visit. I have loved your from the heart chats. I've seen you highs and your lows and have felt for you when things have not been good and smiled with you when they have .... So pleased you got a new home, I think the thought of you in Matilda was beginning to worry us all .... I wish you all the best for the New Year and look forward to continuing with you on your journey ...Happy New Year Carolyn & Capone xx
When you camp a good idea is to run your seat belt through the arm of the doors across the seat and lock it. If anyone has a Jimmy jack it gives you time to wake up. Also we always do this when we park anywhere, and go out the side door. Have a safe new year.
The power windows and then the steps was the perfect ending to this video! Lolol! Even Capone was liking this camping spot! Lolol! Thank you sooo much for sharing! Have a wonderful 2018 with plenty of happiness, good health and great prosperity! Great big earm hugs!
Nice to be able to get to know your new rig along with you! Power windows, amazing. I also now have new power windows on my truck I bought Dec. 6th! Next, a camp trailer so I can go more and further. As always, thanks for sharing. Hi Capone, "Woof," from F & B. (The electric step is so over-the-top luxury, wow!)
Hi dear Carolyn! You are MUCH better than other reality tv shows-----don't know if anyone has told you that recently. You are also now in my favorite part of the US----New Mexico......can't be beat, as far as I'm concerned......I don't miss an episode of Carolyn's RV Life.....can't wait for the next segment!
Hi Carolyn, I have been recently retired. trying to get out west in my pickup with a cap. I need a purpose and change in my life . I lost my best Bud Norton in my profile pic. leaving connecticut jan 3 Hopefully I can meet you and others with like lifestyle
HAPPY NEW YEAR, Carolyn! Couldn't think of a better place to ring in the New Year - it's gorgeous out there in the pinon chaparral. The new rig is just what I was looking at, size- and configuration-wise, too. And Mister 'Poney seems very, Very enthusiastic about the whole thing, too. :-D
My tablet recognized your voice! I am thoroughly enJOYing your delighting your new home! And Capone is perking right along! Thanks for taking the time to show us it often takes t.i.m.e. to find the best sites. We, Charlie THE cat and the crazy old lady by the lake, are looking forward to 2018's adventures with you and Capone!
thank you for getting back to me it was just a suggestion after I had my dog for 13 years and I told you she passed away and very shortly me and my girlfriend will be hitting the road and on new travel home and we will name eyes after eye dog that passed Bella
Happy New Year Carolyn! After watching this video I was curious if you could send the drone up to help look for camping spots, decent roads ahead or if others are in the area? Thanks for sharing your adventures😊
