5 Testosterone-Boosting Foods High in Vitamin A

476 ratings | 13449 views
Read about the 5 foods rich in vitamin A here - https://www.anabolicmen.com/foods-high-in-vitamin-a/ The five vitamin A rich foods are: 1. Animal liver 2. Sweet potatoes 3. Cod liver oil 4. Cheese 5. Butter Studies have shown that when there’s a vitamin A deficiency, testosterone levels plummet rapidly. The male testicles also have specific receptors for vitamin A, which is a telling sing of the importance of the micronutrient for reproductive system health. However, not all forms of vitamin A are created equal; The vitamin A from animal sources is in retinoid form and much more easily assimilated and used by the human body. The vitamin A from plant source is in carotenoid form, which first needs to be converted into retinoids inside the body before its available. Many sources list the best vitamin A source by looking at their carotene content (foods like carrots, sweet potatoes, and dark leafy greens are loaded with these), but they fail to tell the reader that it takes 6-24 units of carotenoids to convert into 1 unit of usable retinoid. This reminds me: Lions eat the internal organs and specifically prize the liver when they kill. Makes sense why.

You mention cheese and butter, which are dairy. Could you do a video on how dairy can affect testosterone? I have recently ridded it from my diet because, like gluten, our bodies are not adapted to it, therefore it causes inflammation in the body. Inflammation in the body affects the hormones. I also think dairy makes my face break out. I know you have suggested to not eat grains before to optimize test, so how do you feel about dairy?
Tranquilized Mind (1 year ago)
Yeah man, I've had the same thing. Too much dairy isn't ideal. Every once in a while (two or three times a week) can be beneficial due to its highly-absorbed micronutritent content. Obviously, grass-fed is your go-to if you're gonna indulge in dairy. There's a reason for this too. Pasture-raised eggs, grass-fed dairy products have a lot more anti-inflammatory omega 3's. Usually 5 times, sometimes 10 times and up to 20 times more than conventional. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2846864/ Hope this helps! Acne sucks! The reason that dairy gives you acne, mucus, bloating and diarrhea is because the milk that you buy from the store has been heat-treated. It's either pasteurized or UHT (which means ultra-pasteurized) and homogenized. Milk should be raw. Pasteurization literally destroys milk. Pasteurized milk will ROT after a while, but raw milk does not rot, it only sours (because the good bacteria aren't destroyed). Raw milk will turn into sour milk, then into clabber (similar to yoghurt, but made with the milk's own bacteria), and then into a separation of curds and whey. There is also a second problem: I don't know where you live but most milk comes from mutated cows that produce milk with A1 beta-casein, this is called A1 milk. When A1 beta-casein is digested it releases a harmful substance called bcm-7. This is why even raw milk can be bad for digestion. A2 milk does not do this. Milk from other ruminants such as goats, sheep, and buffalo is always A2.

they always said Vince Gironda was ahead of his time! my man used to preach butter and beef liver tablets!
Orion Antares (1 year ago)
Something you neglected to mention is that you can overdose on vitamin A in its retinoid form. Usually this is only a concern for eating high content foods such as too much liver to frequently.
Tranquilized Mind (1 year ago)
Absolutely. If you're like me an enjoy feasting on at least a pound of meat a day. Limiting a pound of liver to a week is optimal for retinoid absorption without going over the limit.

another great video
macknumber9 (1 year ago)
awesome video as always...going to start consuming beef liver if I can stomach it otherwise supplement with liver tablets...how about vitamin e? seems like most vitamin e rich foods are loaded with pufa...any vitamin e rich foods low in pufa?
Tranquilized Mind (1 year ago)
Hey man! If you can eat Beef Liver its one of the best foods a man can eat. Super high in fat solubles. Add that to a green-smoothie of a ton of spinach (very high in Vitamin E), some brazil nuts, avocadoes, some eggs and you'r gonna be doing great on Vitamin E. Hope your sleeping is getting better too! Future reading https://chriskresser.com/natures-most-potent-superfood/ https://www.anabolicmen.com/foods-high-vitamin-e/ -Jonah

Hello Chris, is it possible that drinking black coffee during my fast can decrease my testosterone levels? I got the Testshock but cannot find an answer to that. Recently I saw a guy mentioning that drinking coffee in the morning increases cortisol levels and therefore decreases testosterone. Thanks!
sonofolaf1 1 (1 year ago)
don't over do the coffee it can cause adrenal fatigue which is not good you can try garcinia cambogia it is good for testosterone and blunts the appetite
mz21 (1 year ago)
Thanks, I read that article already. Since I fast during the morning and only workout before dinner. drinking coffee during my fast can decrease my testosterone? Not before my workout.

I found on this channel very usefull advices thanks Chris. P.S Could u make video about overtraning and adrenal fatigue I suffered a lot from this state and found that many guys go deeper and deeper in that and dont know what is going on I think many guys will be interested about that topic saw also one guys asking about that in comment section.
Tranquilized Mind (1 year ago)
Hey man, great request! Adrenal fatigue sucks! One thing you can do is start learning how to lower your stress levels. People with balanced, healthy and low cortisol levels are always less prone to adrenal fatigue. So learning how to do this naturally is your go-to! For more reading, Ali wrote an article on this a few years ago. Most of it is still very helpful and will apply. Give it a read! https://www.anabolicmen.com/how-to-heal-adrenal-fatigue-naturally/ -Jonah at http://Tranquilizedmind.com

Yep ill put that on the topic list
